I sent the pool address to you guys in a PM this past weekend, hopefully I didn't misspell anyone's user name.  I was goofing around with ChipMixer's new onion site at the time and I had a 0.002BTC chip handy, so I just sent the whole thing to the pool address.  I'll cover transaction fees when the time comes to pay the winners.

Don't get me wrong; from a fantasy football perspective, I think Rodgers can be statistically successful anywhere he decides to go.  

If we're talking about how successful his chosen team will be, that depends largely on the coaching staff.  Will Jon Gruden do what's needed to leverage what Rodgers' statistics could yield?  In all honesty I'm not a huge fan of Jon Gruden, and I believe he could have helped Derek Carr a bit more.  Rodgers would be an obvious upgrade, but the Raiders would need so much more to mimic the Tampa Bay story line.  

One of the reasons Brady is toting a sixth ring is because Bruce Arians built the team around his strengths.  That doesn't just mean convincing Gronk to come out of retirement, and ensuring a strong running attack.  It also meant having one of the stingiest defenses in the league.  If your offense is constantly chasing a points deficit, your impressive quarterback's stats don't always translate to wins.


I don't doubt any of that.  Rodgers is a northern California native, and I'm sure he would like nothing more than to be closer to home.  Now that he's engaged to an actress (who I presume lives in LA, but I really don't know,) I imagine Las Vegas would be pretty convenient for his personal life.  And, as far as I know, he's even more bitter than I am that Mike Nolan didn't draft him first overall.

Although I know it's a long shot, I still hope to see Rodgers in 49er uniform one of these days.

What about if Rodgers decided to be with the Las Vegas Raiders? There are strong rumors that they also want Rodgers and they will be doing everything to get him. Also, words from interviews on Derek Carr also appear to say that he might not be the Raiders’ quarterback when the season begins.

There is an exception to every rule and he was one, Elway had the team stacked for Peytons stand there and air it out game which put up 40-50 points per week. And as far as the running game actually they dumped off more often than not and that pads the QB stats. Thats one reason Rottenburger puts up such great numbers with running backs like Bell, yeah and garbage time too.

Being able to spot these type of aberrations can win you a season.

I find that surprising, though I don't know how your league scored QB stats.  Maybe you got a point every time he handed the ball off?    

Really though, I remember Payton being more of a game manager that last year in Denver.  He would throw many short routs for scores, but they seemed to be a run-heavy offence, as I recall.


He was the MVP last year, with a relatively average supporting crew.  I wouldn't hesitate to take Rodgers even if he went to Houston.


It's been about 6 or 7 years since I've joined a league, but this was a lesson I had to learn the hard way.  I remember a couple of years ago Dallas was among the worst teams in the league but Dak Prescott was leading the league in passing yards.  Didn't add up to a lot of points for Dallas, but I'm sure he was smoking the fantasy leagues with those numbers.

It sounds like everyone is okay with the 0.0015BTC buy-in (except suchmoon) and with me holding the coins.  I'll provide a segwit address this weekend.  Should I post it here in public, or should I send a mass-PM to the participants?  I don't want to risk anyone's privacy, if that's a concern.

After the first link you posted here of that show I knew that was going to be the case, oh well, it seems I will have to resign myself for 14 weeks of trash talking as I will be without a doubt one if not the worst performers on this league.



I am the same, weekends would work best for me but I could make the live draft any day as I have a flexible schedule, and regarding the hour US friendly will be best for me but again I could make it to the live draft at almost any hour as I do not really sleep that much.

The current schedule is that we will all face each other twice during the season from week 1 to 14, semifinals week 15 to 16 and finals week 17 to 18, if someone wants to propose a change feel free to do so as this is our league.



Yep, QBs in winning teams have to kill clock and run the ball so they do not get to score as much, while those teams that are always playing from behind are throwing the ball all the time and looking for big plays.

I would grab Rogers higher if he is with Denver than if hes with GB.

Remember that Fantasy numbers do not necessarily correlate to team wins, alot of winning teams have QBs that put up mid range numbers like Brady did for most of his career.

Denver came close though and Peyton won me most (maybe all I forget) of my leagues as I grabbed him first to third round (which I was the laughing stock of a few leagues until a few weeks in). No-one drafted a QB before 5th round back then.


Even the games he lost he put up huge numbers. I also grabbed Julius Thomas (Denver rookie TE that year)off the wire in all the leagues I could and he was a beast.

I actually don't know what numbers he put up in fantasy though as I took a pass on last year completely/

I was also implying more about the odds reduced near with the favorites. Bet Broncos before Rodgers and then sell the ticket after Rodgers hehe.

Agreed! Aaron Rodgers. We cannot be certain what he will do or where he will go. The rumor is the Denver Broncos. Broncos futures to win the superbowl is presently 21.00. This might reduce near with the favorites Kansas City Chief if Rodgers joins Denver.

Agreed, if we can schedule for the weekend before the first kick-off, that would be best.


I think we've got folks from all over the world here, actually.  At least one member from Europe, and at least one American ex-pat hiding out in eastern Asia.  Weekends would be best for me, I tend to be early riser, which means I go to bed early too.

I don't mind the small league.  It means I'm guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.  

Just as a part of the discussion; not a recommendation for this league:  Now that the NFL year is 18 weeks, I think 16 teams would be the ideal number.  That way each team plays each other once, and only half the teams make it into the playoffs.

I am away most weekends weekday nights are better for me but I can figure something out if it's on a Saturday night.  Also are we all generally in the same timezone.  Do we have any non US folks in the league.  And lastly I can get a coue members here join if we want a 10 person league.  I generally like at least 20 as it makes the waiver wire part of the season.  8 team league is fine it's just every team is stacked.  Up to you all...and lastly I'm down for any price .0015 is fine by me.  Just let me know where and when to send

I would recommend we draft as close to league kickoff as we can as nothing is worse than drafting a guy high up and having something happen to him before the regular season even starts!

Also drafting before pre-season is just taking alot of the fun of scouting new talents away.

While we still have a solid 5-6 weeks before a draft, I'm just wondering what will happen to the price of BTC between now and then. After all, this is Bitcoin...

What if we give you a week to change your mind? FF is fun and encourages you to learn about the players. I learn way more than I ever would if I weren't playing. However, if you'd rather not invest the time or the BTC I understand. It can be as time consuming as you want it to.

Everything looks fine to me, I have been delaying talking about the date the draft is to be scheduled since the first game is not played until September 9th so there was still a lot of time left and we know that many things can happen during that time, however if we are to set a deadline for the buy-in then it is necessary to talk about that date and hour the draft is to be conducted.

Assuming that all of the participants have an easier time to make it to the live draft on weekends then the most likely dates for the draft are:  August 21st, 22nd, 28th and 29th and September 4th and 5th, as they are the closest dates to the beginning of the season and currently all of those dates are still available.

Its great that you are still in, and yes it is an 8 team league, in fact at the beginning I set it up as a 10 team league but I realized that filling that many spots could be difficult and the ESPN website did not allowed me to reduce the number of teams but it did allow me to increase it, so I thought it was better to start with an 8 team league and if there was demand for it we could increase it if necessary.

I understand that the process to select the 7th and 8th draft pick could get longer with bitcoin and a faster confirmation rate could help with this, but what I can say? If the hash lottery is the method selected, and right now it is the one that is ahead, then I would like to use the king .

Sorry, .0015 is a little high for me being someone who does not deeply know the sport. I cannot promise to join the league presently, however, if accepted in Duelbits’ signature campaign, I will join hehe. I had planned to sell some of my SMC tokens earned from a campaign to pay for the fee, but it appears much of the project’s development team dumped and left the project. I had $300 of SMC now reduced to only $40.
