Definitely like the live drafts. I've never done an espn one always on the yahoo leagues. Live drafting is half the fun and half the challenge of getting your team made up.

About the creation of a thread for the league.
That could be a possibility but not right now, in fact the spark that brought the fantasy league to the minds of everyone was the post of DireWolfM14 after a long period of inactivity and nutildah's response, right now all the activity on the thread is dedicated to the fantasy league and that is fine but as we get closer to the start of the regular season we may interfere with other users which are not part of the league and which may not be interested on it, so at that point it may be better to create a thread for the league to improve the readability of the thread.
Live drafts are always fun, but I know we're scattered across the globe so it might not be practical. If we were to take a vote I'll vote for a live draft.
I highly we suggest we do a live draft as its much more fun and competitive that way. If we can get a "quorum" of 5/8 players agreeing to a live draft, we should definitely do it.

Yep, this is an excellent starting point for learning how it all works.

If you miss the live draft, its not the end of the world so long as you set your autopick lineup (so the computer chooses your next-most desired player still available, according to your ranking list, in your absence).
If you really want Tom Brady on your team (LOL probably still true after playing a decade of FF) or whatever particular superstar, then you'll have to attend the draft to make sure you have a chance of getting em.
I did a draft in-flight once; its pretty easy-peasy but will take a couple of hours to complete. After we start getting into the teen rounds, or when you're done picking the most important players, you can always set the remainder of your draft on auto if you need to bug out early.

I'm not sure about ESPN but I remember setting up a list a few years ago so that if I missed the draft it would be used instead of the default so you guys might want to do that just in case something comes up.

I also signed up with espn, played fantasy football last year with nfl.com and yahoo but i'm sure espn is just as good.

- draft date/time, i have a pretty flexible schedule, i'll make sure to be at the draft. A snake live draft a week/few days before the start of the season is optimal.

I like the number 0.0015 because it lends to a round payout figure, and its also the maximum I'm willing to put down. There's still a loooong way to go between now and Week 1 so we have plenty of time to come up with a number.

As far as a buy-in goes, I think something between 0.001 ($32.75) and 0.0015 ($49.15) would be good. If we did 0.0015 then the winner could get 0.01 and the runner-up 0.002 (minus tx fees). I also don't want to exclude anyone so 0.001 is fine... If its zero then peeps might not care as much and give up, which makes it less fun for everyone else. But if it means we lose a lot of people then free it is.

The league is already underway, we need to decide on several things but the most important are the buy in, if any, and when and how the draft will be performed, right now there is no date for the draft but there are two live draft options and autopick option and the possibility to do the draft outside the platform and just submit the results, the default option is a snake live draft in which the order of the draft is reversed each round and you have 90 seconds to make your pick, if this is the format we follow I will recommend people to use the mock draft lobby so they can familiarize themselves with the process.
