That is funny. IIRC, I was ranked 3rd after the draft and finished in 9th. Pretty dismal year for me, hope to do better this year. I still feel like winning 2021 was a fluke for me, but I'll keep reminding you guys that I won 2021. Grin

The sooner the better, just so we can recruit a 12 participant if needed.

The season starts Thursday September 7th, so I think we should have our draft the weekend before; Friday September 1st or Saturday the 2nd. That's just a bit over a month away.

ETA:

If we do end up with 12 teams, I like the idea of 8 making it to the playoffs. Quarter finals on week 15, Semi finals week 16, and Finals week 17.

What do you guys think of having two payouts? I was thinking the second place team gets double the entry fee, and winner takes the rest.

If I recall, last year's entry fee was mBTC25, which is about $73 at the moment. I'm good with keeping it at that.

These are things we tend to vote on after we get the league settled on who's in for the season.

I see .0025 mentioned but I want to be sure. Are we including preseason? Post season? Will there be a separate thread with everything we need to know?

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!

If everyone comebacks from the previous season and with the addition of @seek3r and @yahoo62278 then it seems we reached the goal to expand to a 12 player league, but maybe we should check just in case as maybe not everyone has the time to join the league this year.

Assuming everyone returns, should we change the playoff format? And let 6 teams to move to the playoffs with the top two teams getting a BYE or maybe expand it to 8 teams as some may not like not playing their teams on the most important part of the season?

About the second league, I am in, now we just have to wait to see if there is enough interest on it.

So I'm not saying we should switch to Sleeper for our league, let me start off emphatically expressing that...but that being said, I just did my first draft (dynasty) on sleeper and man it's a great fantasy app, and if it's not already the best one, it's going to be. It's way more in-depth than any other app out there. I'm becoming a huge fan. It's a bit complicated at first, but once you figure out all the nuances, it really shines.

Just thought I'd share some screen shots of some of the features just so you guys have an idea how it looks. I know Sleeper has been discussed here a few times..

When you scroll to the far right of the app, you've got all these great links. What I really like is the news, the podcasts and the advice section. Really cool stuff. You can tell they are working hard to make this the ultimate fantasy platform

Speaking of hazing, this is a buddy of mine from college. You may have heard about the Northwestern Football coach being fired due to hazing "rituals" which were a part of their program, and he was interviewed having played there is freshman year and for having spoken out against it on twitter (he came to Southern IL Univ his Jr and Sr year I believe it was, hence when we met). Cousins isn’t also all that bad. There’s plenty of quarterbacks in the NFL whom are much worse than Kirk who are still starting quarterbacks in the league. Cousins doesn’t have to be good enough to win a championship in order to give Justin Jefferson elite value, he’s just got to be good enough to be able to get him the ball well enough to do his thing, which he is.

Looks like Titans are signing DHop. Doesn’t do me any good for my Treylon Burks pick this year in Dynasty.

Do not take the reply seriously, I was only making a funny comment hehe. I am quite certain Justin Jefferson will remain one of the highest ranked players during our fantasy draft. He might be there with Cooper Kupp on ranks no.3 or no.4.
