Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
In any case, it appears I got lucky for week 8 hehehe.

Very funny ha ha. Well, I didn't have much hope for it anyway Grin

I'm so thoroughly fucked this week that I might have to play without a WR. Two players with a "D", which I can't move to IR, so I can't shop for replacement. And three players on a bye, which I don't want to drop.

Yeah, Yahoo has been fucking me all season with the "Q" from "O" and then back to "Q" at the beginning of the week even when we know they will be "O" again. When it does this you cant make changes so we have to drop players to get a lineup in. Remember I started with 4 players doing this too me at once! I think its a serious flaw in their system. I lost some good players because of that and I'm sure others have as well. Also they don't change it to "O" quick enough after its been announced and I've seen players still be marked as "D" when the game started even when they were announced "O" before the game. We also should have had 3 IR slots I think. Smiley

I played without a Def because of this last week, Keenan Allen driving me insane this year!

If anyone needs a wide receiver, I dropped Wandale Robinson to add a running back for my team. There are some fantasy experts who speculate that the rookie might be targetted more by Daniel Jones until the end of this season. I did not want to drop him, however, no choice for me. Week 9 for me might be difficult and also week 11 because of player bye weeks.

In any case, it appears I got lucky for week 8 hehehe.

Put in a small bet on TB to cover -1, based on nothing except it feels like the Bucs really need a win. The line was +1 TB earlier in the week, should have placed the bet then, oh well. Let's see if I can go 3-for-3 on Thursday night games.

Does anyone have a projected 7-9 fantasy points tight end player on their bench who is available to trade? I want to trade Tyler Lockett who is projected to give you 13 fantasy points and it might be more because DK Metcalf is out for week 8.

Also, tight end's bye week should not be week 11 hehehehe.

Juwan Johnson is available on the wire, he filled in for the Saints other tight end last week and had a good day.  If you only need him this week, it might be worth picking him up and keeping on eye on the injured starter.

I am looking for someone who I can hold until the end of the season. I do not have a place on the bench for Juwan Johnson except if I drop Wandale Robinson. But I will need Robinson for week 11 when Tyreek Hill and Mike Evans are on their bye week. Motsert is also going to be on a bye week on week 11 hehe. 3 starters in total.

I am over football for the year lol.  I'm being a big fat baby but I'm so fuckn sick of injuries.  For the second year in a row I lose my best player a few games in to the season which essentially in my mind ends my chances for a championship (lost King Henry last year and just lost Hall this year).  I'm 5-2 in the league but still, Hall was an absolute monster and that just destroys my depth losing him.

It hurts worse than being 2-5 in this league.  At least I haven't had injuries in this league, I've had some bad luck and some things not go my way, but it's the injuries that really tick me off.  I'm also 3-4 in another league where I've got the most points scored and the most points scored against...frustrating as all hell lol.

Then on top of all that, the Bears win vs the Patriots which just means it hurts our draft position yet is making all these people think we've got a chance or a decent team, which just isn't true.  Yes, I'm bitter  Cheesy

Prime Matty versus prime files I'd take Ryan.  That season they went to the superbowl he was great.  His tes always sucked.  The falcons never put a team around him.  He just ran into a Brady buzz saw that year.  Still pissed off at that superbowl losing some sheckles to Brady 🤨

They Pulled Foles in the third quarter so he didn't break the Darling of the NFL's Peytons record that he tied the week before to all the pundits wetting their pants over.

Enough people just don't know about this.

He literally played 2 Quarters and ten minutes of the third and tied the all TIME record for touchdowns in the NFL !!!!

I know no one really cares about the Colts and neither do I but I find this bit very amusing as an indication of how much Matt Ryan sucks:
...
Speaking of sucky QBs

Funny you should mention it. A couple weeks ago I was reading that Matt Ryan's nickname is (used to be) "the iceman" for his ability to remain cool under pressure. Now that this is no longer true, I proposed in my other league that his new nickname be "Ol' Sucky". He is #7 in all-time passing yards, which is no easy feat, but still... this year was the closest he's come to having a winning season since 2017  Cry

Would be sad if his career ended on this kind of note. Here's to Ol' Sucky.

I was never a Ryan (matty) fan and frankly don't know what anyone has seen in him all these years.

I'd take Foles over him all day if I was the coach.

Speaking of X-Jet QB's it seems The Other Ryan (Rex) has been proven beyond an doubt to have been the Jets downfall for the last decade.

I'm starting to change my mind on them there Giants, how did they do it?

Quote
Following the conclusion of the 2021 season, head coach Joe Judge was fired and general manager Dave Gettleman retired. In the offseason, the Giants hired Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll to become the 22nd head coach in franchise history and Bills front office assistant Joe Schoen to become general manager.

Is this all it took?

It's a big part of it yeah.  Daboll is a semi God like figure for giant fans already lol.  Honestly a huge part of it is the Def coordinator wink's system.  They have the right guys and theor defense has come up huge in big spots this year so far.  Offense isn't killing games either.  Jones has kept the turnovers to a minimum which helps keep other offenses on short field situations.

It appears that might have been all it took, yes.

I was beginning to be convinced during week 5 and have taken 2 giants players from the waiver wire. They could be very useful for me on the bench and ready if my main players are on bye weeks or injured. I am not quite certain on Wandale Robinson, however, Daniel Jones might be the best available quarterback who was not rostered in our league.

Speaking of sucky QBs, something's going on with Patriots too... they seem to have benched Mac Jones mid game and Zappe immediately zapped a TD.

Jones looked like he was trying to force things too much.  He struggled early in the season, got hurt, then Zappe came out and won two games in a row.  That would make any QB nervous about his job.  Zappe just lobbed another deep ball, also for an amazing catch.

It's too early to tell if Zappe is really that good, or just having some luck.  The two games he's played so far were won on the ground, but those were a couple of nice passes so far this evening.

I know no one really cares about the Colts and neither do I but I find this bit very amusing as an indication of how much Matt Ryan sucks:

[Sam Ehlinger, the guy who will replace Matt Ryan as Colts QB] has appeared in only three NFL games and has never thrown a pass in the regular season. Ehlinger was a sixth-round pick in the 2021 draft out of Texas.

Speaking of sucky QBs, something's going on with Patriots too... they seem to have benched Mac Jones mid game and Zappe immediately zapped a TD.

(I'm not watching the game just saw it on live tracker)

Also in QB news: PJ will start the next game for Panthers even if Mayfield is healthy. So who's next to be dumped? Russell Wilson? That'd be a very expensive blunder so perhaps not.

@DireWolfM14, @wheelz. You have very good insights and understanding of the NFL. Would it be possible if the 2 of you can share your thoughts and what might be your predictions on some of the games for week 7heheheeh.

Giants prediction was correct, thought on Greenbay Packers also correct! On the Giants I would agree because they have only 1 loss for the season and they play against the Jaguars. However, I was shaking my head on the prediction on Greenbay. I thought if Greenbay loses, it would certainly be not against the Commanders.

Haha, not!  Full discloser; the only bet I place on football this weekend was the Niners money line, with CMC to score.  Undecided

I should have taken my own advice and bet on them thar Giants.

Is this all it took?

I couldn't believe that a Taylor Heineke led team beat an aaron Rodgers led team.  I think it is what it is at this point, the packers are just an OK team.  They are bottom of the league team without Rodgers but I think the rest of the skill positions just can't be carried by Rodgers alone.  That was a shocker.

And hey ho...how but them 6-1 GIANTS!
