Your judgment is wrong the market of altcoins is not going to explode at the end of the year, nothing is going to explode, at best what we are going to see is a small recovery coming from the market of altcoins and nothing more, however if you're thinking about investing in the market of cryptocurrencies for the long term then I think it is a good idea to invest those 500 in some low market cap coins.

The appropriate time for buy crypto is not predictable but people can buy it when it's staying with it's avarage low price. So it's up to you if you take this minimum price then you can invest on it.

Hello mate! I think this is the right time to buy more and hold until the end of 2018 to first quarter of 2019. And i would advise you to have bitcoin or ethereum. Or look for some good altcoins in coinmarketcap. But btc and eth will definitely pump in the coming days. Cheers!

Sometime you need to sell the coin when the market is bad if you want to buy more good coins in this cheap price.
If you have $500, you can start to buy more without afraid of your coin value never going up.

for me i will say selling at this bear market is highly bad and not advisable why because you will sell it at a lost price all you need to do is just have patient's for it to recover before selling.

If you want to be ensured in not losing your money then you have to buy Bitcoin. It won't rise really quick and won't bring you a lot of profit in a second but it's kind of reliable coin. If you some altcoin then Ethereum is maybe your choice. Other ones is really risky.
