I was routing for Leon in the end, obviously he did make quite a few fouls in the fight, but I think that's natural. I don't think he was looking to fence grab, I think it was just out of desperation, but having a point deducted was probably the right choice. However, I saw it pretty much the same way as the judges, I thought Leon comfortably won that fight. It's odd to see Usman struggle against someone so much, considering he dominated the first two fights.

Got to hand it to Leon though, takedown defense was on point, and his circling away from danger was brilliant too. I don't think they'll make the 4th fight for a while, and hopefully we get to see someone else have a shot at the title.

Anyone wants to talk about Filho vs Mokaev fight? Whole fight was decent, but knee bar that Filho made on the third round was something. Hard to believe tha Mokaev did not tap, because human knee simply can not bend on such an angle. How can Mokaevs joints survive that - I cant explain. That might be the nasties injury in ufc. Btw, this is 10th victory in a row by Mokaev (4-0 in ufc).

After the fight, some people were complaining that Usman was robbed and it's probably because of the point deduction. I thought it was 3 rounds for Leon but I had to watch their match again (in mute) to see if there's any merit to what they are saying. I changed my mind and I believe that Leon won rounds 1,2,4, and 5. Round 2 could have gone either but a slight edge goes to the champ.

Leon's body and leg kicks made the difference.

Usman should have worked more to show he was an advantage but the performance he had shown wasn't enough to convince the judges that he got that fight instead it was just a kind of a fight where you really see that he was at a clear disadvantage. the hesitation to attack is there and that was the same reason for him not using his full potential and skills that led him to lose the fight. Anyway, there will be no 4th fight in this one, and congratulations to Leon Edwards he will now proceed to get ready for his next opponent.

Edit: Leon Edwards retained the title, hell of a card with good worth for the underdogs.
The fight between Leon Edward and Usman demonstrates that Edward is superior to Usman.

Usman's reign as a former welterweight fighter is finally over for the second time. Usman's career is currently not in the best shape after losing twice to the same opponent. Due to his advanced age, he may need to retire from UFC welterweight. That will be the best thing for him to do now for his prestige to remain in-tight in the UFC welterweight.

This fight card all the underdogs are winning, the fight between Justin Gaethje and Rafael Fiziev was one hell of a fight and i was really impressed with the speed and kicks of Rafael Fiziev but Justin Gaethje being a heavy underdog just weathered through and beat the hell out of Rafael Fiziev and his face was a mess.

Usman and Edwards is going on, rooting for Leon to win as another underdog win. First round Leon is impressive.

Edit: Leon Edwards retained the title, hell of a card with good worth for the underdogs.

UFC Main card starting soon guys, this event started earlier than usual because they are in Europe, London, so tune in and watch live.
I placed my bet on Leon Edwards and I couldn't resist that odds, but anything can happen in main event.

I'm not super confident on this bet, but it gives decent odds to be honest. Convince me otherwise Cheesy.
It's to late to convince you about anything, but your pick on Marvin Vettori was spot on.

Cant decide who is going to win, Usman or Edwards, then just skip betting on their fight  Grin
Vettori and Fiziev seems to be a bets where to make a decision easier. Ive placed my bet on Fiziev. Cant see Gaethji winning this fight. Fiziev is younger, quicker and fully counters Justins strenght sides.
Usman and Edward a bet on 4.5 rounds is not a bad bet. Rafael Fiziev is a kickboxer and Justin Gaethje is a wrestler, you never know whether he is simply training in wrestling for MMA as he never used to use his skill sets but rather go for strikes, but for Justin Gaethje to get to a title he needs to win this fight and what happens if he fights smart for the first time and start taking Fiziev to the ground and you need to remember Gaethje and Usman are from the same fight camp.

Fights started earlier and the main event is about to start.

My pick and prediction for the UFC 286

Kamaru Usman (-260)
Leon Edwards (+210)

For this event, it is very tempting to bet for Leon Edwards because you know his odds and a likely surprise that he may cause for this event, because of what happened in their 1st match, but likely Kamaru Usman is still the favorite to win and I really don't know if Leon Edwards has already change in this fight this is why it is likely hard to predict this fight Leon Edwards could have the champion mentality entering the octagon, for me I will take Kamaru Usman because of his potential and dominant performance on their 2nd game,

Rafael Fiziev (-235)
Justin Gaethje (+195)

Both fighter can fight intelligently, so this is going to be a banger of a fight and likely Justin Gaethje will surely fight with those experience that he has, he will surely go near of Fiziev more cautiously, but for me I will go with Justin Gaethje, Rafael Fiziev is surely not unbeatable, so my pick is Justin Gaethje,

Marvin Vettori (-285)
Roman Dolidze (+230)

Now in this fight, Roman Dolidze doesn't have any game plan he is a kind of fighter that will surely throw everything at his opponent and when Vettori could get a take down Dolidze will surely jump on you now Roman Dolidze have the power he might have the power to knock Vettori in one go, but because Marvin Vettori now has a ground game and pretty much he can defeat guys bigger than him as we have seen to his recent fight with Paolo Costa, he surely have the speed than Dolidze, so my pick is Marvin Vettori,

I like Justin personally. What do we think of this bet:

Juliana Miller (decision; worried since she could get the finish)
Jack Shore
Marvin Vettori via decision
Casey O'Neill via decision
Muhammad Mokeav (doubt due to previous fights)
Kamaru Usman via decision.

I'm not super confident on this bet, but it gives decent odds to be honest. Convince me otherwise Cheesy.

I also cannot decide the winner of the fight between Usman and Edwards. I believe Edwards is going to have the upper hand entering into this fight. After all, the physical condition of Usman does not look very well right now. I am not so confident about him winning.

I will not say Gaethje is going to lose that easily. He is an outstanding striker. Of course his opponent is going to have all types of counter for him. But I still believe that if he is smart enough he will be able to come up with solutions to those counters. Basically I think he will have to do a lot of fakes to throw off his opponent.

Cant decide who is going to win, Usman or Edwards, then just skip betting on their fight  Grin

Usman - Fiziev
Add:  Shore - Murphy - Mokaev
Add:  Vettori - Hadley - CL Duncan
Add:  Klein - C Duncan - Nelson
Add:  Miller - Carolina - Patterson
Add:  Maia
I like it, obviously I'll be backing Shore for obvious reasons, but he definitely has his weak points, and I'm personally not liking the odds. After his last performance, I thought the odds would've reflected his weaknesses a little more. I'll get my predictions out tomorrow before the event. I know it's a early event though, since it's in London this time around, which hopefully means a good crowd.

Shore will win it imo.  He had a slight level up vs a tough opponent in Ricky Simon at his last time out.  This time, Amirkhani has just one good round in him then he fades.  It could get sketchy at R1 as AmirKhani is good in BJJ and could show the threat of catching Shore with something.  So live bet is the way if you want to somehow get better odds on Shore.

Anyway, 5 more hours to go guys!  This is gonna be great!

And last call for the Multi Master...  Leeez goo.

Leon Edwards VS Kamaru Usman

The stake odds for this fight are 3.10 for Edwards and 1.43 for Usman, Right now this is going to be an unpredictable fight for sure, but because Usman will surely be dominated most of the rounds on their 1st and 2nd fight and many are saying that Edwards was truly lucky about it there is no other option for me for sure many will be siding for Usman but I can not blame others for siding on Edwards aswell because he is full of surprises, but my pick is Kamaru Usman,

There are many injuries in Usman that he didn’t really heal, didn’t go on vacation and didn’t do any operations, I don’t know if this can interfere with him in this fight. Edwards is now confident in himself, and perhaps he should draw conclusions and not give advantage to Usman just like that. Edwards is fighting at home, for Usman it is a different time zone, it is important how much he can adapt, but it is difficult for me to choose a favorite in this fight, I think that the chances are equal for the fighters.

Leon Edwards VS Kamaru Usman
I don't like the word "lucky" or "lucky shot" when it comes to fighting especially in the professional section. These guys trained their asses over and over just to make sure they will have a weapon to protect themselves. For some, it may look like a lucky kick but I bet Edwards had been doing that kind of technique for most of his practice, it landed perfectly where he wanted and the result was deadly and so he won.

I am backing Leon Edwards here. I want to see if he made some changes in how he will fight or if the belt added some confidence in him because that is what is lacking in him the second time they meet. Time to act like a champion and he should let Usman know that so that he will realize that he lost the belt to a stronger fighter. Perhaps that will also change the perspective on him by UFC fans.

I am making a parlay on these three picks, but won't be including Usman, instead, it will be Edwards on my line. Good luck to us.

Well, Sorry about that. I think you are right the word lucky isn't supposed to be used, and Leon Edwards really has perfect timing with his kicks it was Kamaru Usman's error for evading the faint punch, that he didn't realize the upcoming kick of Edwards, well this is why It is really complicated for me to put a bet at 1st but because the fight could surely go anywhere I assure that either of the two will win I can still profit well, this is the 1st time that I bet for both fighters Kamaru Usman is a dominating force and enough explosion with his takedowns then Leon Edwards will not be able to respond to it, or Leon Edwards will surely have some upper hand in enhancing his takedown defense, I think that is what I am expecting for Leon Edwards,

Now, this is my bet slip on stake whatever happens I will be grateful,

It could be. But then there are already lots of MMA fighters who did it. Leon set it up that Usman will lean on the right side after throwing jabs and then a head kick. It's been done before and we have seen it many times, it's just unbelievable that Usman fell for it.

One thing that Leon has is that he never gives up defending himself. If he is takedown, he always finds a way to get out of that situation. It frustrates Usman.

It was surely shocking and Kamaru Usman really didn't expect it, but for me that Leon Edwards look pretty much trembling quite a bit, in the Pre-fight Press Conference I really don't know if that was trembling out of fear or excitement, but it was, and that is why this fight is going to be unpredictable because of what happen,

Now here are my picks for the upcoming fight

Leon Edwards VS Kamaru Usman

The stake odds for this fight are 3.10 for Edwards and 1.43 for Usman, Right now this is going to be an unpredictable fight for sure, but because Usman will surely be dominated most of the rounds on their 1st and 2nd fight and many are saying that Edwards was truly lucky about it there is no other option for me for sure many will be siding for Usman but I can not blame others for siding on Edwards aswell because he is full of surprises, but my pick is Kamaru Usman,

Justin Gaethje VS Rafael Fiziev

The stake odds for this fight are 3.00 for Gaethje and 1.45 for Fiziev, for this fight, Rafael Riziev is an extraordinary striker well I think both are, but he also got a good takedown defense so if Justin Gaethje thinks of a different approach he will surely be ready, which I think Gaethje will surely try because he is a wrestler after all, but he isn't really using it, but for me, in this fight, my pick will be Rafael Fiziev,

Marvin Vettori VS Roman Dolidze

The stake odds for this fight are 1.40 for Vettori and 3.30 for Dolidze, for this fight, both fighters have trained with each other so they surely know each other pretty much Dolidze surely has the height and reaches an advantage for sure but he kind of slow in my opinion and Marvin Vettori, have fought a much larger and heavier Paolo Costa and won and pretty much dominates the fight so for me my pick is Marvin Vettori,

Many are saying that Leon Edwards has done it out of luck and they could be correct, even in their 2nd match I have bet for Kamaru Usman because there are a lot pertaining details that Usman will win if it wasn't for that kick blowing a large portion of my bet back then but this time both men will surely adjust from their previous match, I think Kamaru Usman will still be dominating the fight, not if Leon Edwards could pull another unknown move that could caught Usman off guard, but I guess Kamaru Usman will be 100% will be in his old mans house,

Kamaru Usman is not in the best physical shape as his knees are killing him and even Usman confirmed the rumors he is walking down the steps backwards, but he claimed that it is his fashion and protecting his knee  Grin. Leon Edwards never lost a fight in UK in his career and his confidence is high. Not placing a bet on moneyline but rounds bet would be good.
That's bad news, I hope Kamaru Usman's physical condition is fine even though he reasoned that he didn't have knee problems during the fight, but Kamaru Usman realized that Edwards appeared confident in the second fight because he had beaten him before, I think Kamaru Usman will strengthen the defense for dodging kicks or hard punch attacks, I'm not on either side of the fighter but I like fighters who have the punching tricks to take down opponents to beat points from each previous round.
Earlier I was planning to bet on Kamaru Usman but after the weigh I am feeling hesitant. I felt like Usman at 1.39 favorite is a little overstated. Usman is trying to focus but deep inside he remembers that fateful head kick, every time he sees Edwards. Usman might once again control the fight early. It is up to Edwards if he losses his confidence once Usman starts tagging him or he will remain composed and hopes to repeat another KO win.
Meanwhile, I'm surprised Colby Covington was there. Dana should give him a fight ASAP. Cheesy

Kamaru Usman is just simply a little too old right now. He has been really consistent in his performance throughout a good period of time. Of course, he is a legend in the fighting sport. No one is going to take that away from him. But he is just suffering to the effect of being on top of this fighting game for so long. His body is showing signs of weakness. This fight is really going to be hard for him and also on his body. The time is actually coming really close for him to retire. I do not want to insult him and I am sorry if the next thing I am going to say comes off as insulting. But I honestly do not think he is as good as he was before.
