I am eager to know what you guys think about this fight and who you think will come out victorious.
I actually created a thread about this yesterday in the main gambling board but coming back today to read comments, i discovered the thread was deleted without any message or mail to me, as odd as it may sound, i didnt know there was a dedicated thread here for UFC predictions and all, i just found this afternoon..

So what are your thought concerning this fight coming up this December? who are you going to be betting on ?
There's will a three big fight on UFC282:

Jiri Prochazka vs Glover Teixeira
Jan Blachowicz vs Magomed Ankalaev
Paddy Pimblett vs Jared Gordon

I think it will be an easy fight for Prochazka since their previous fight Teixeira can't beat Prochazka's stamina and the fight end via submission. While Blachowicz vs Ankalaev seems to be a 50/50 fight, but I would bet Blachowicz since he's an underdog. Pimblett vs Gordon, Pimblett will win since he's better at ground fight have more power than Gordon.

At the moment, Showtime a big network in the fight business is supporting Jake Paul's boxing career. I do think Jake Paul but thru a partnership with Showtime can create a rival MMA organization bigger than Khabib's Eagle FC.

I just don't see Jake Paul and Dana White working together. Jake Paul is a pain in the ass of Dana's purse system and plans in the UFC. Dana White probably hates Jake Paul to the bone. Jake Paul is one of the reasons why the UFC is having difficulty with some of its fighters like Francis Ngannou who continues to not sign a fight contract.

Oh yes, I remember now it was showtime that was handling Jake Paul, and that Paul versus Silva was one of their events, And regarding Dana White, I have said if they would want a collaboration which is very unfortunate and just like you have said Dana White doesn't really like Jake Paul so much,

Well, it is too early for that fight actually that is why we haven't discussed it yet, but for me for all that 11 submission win for Paddy Pimblet against Gordon, for me, Pimblett has an advantage with his height and reach he can use that to outclass Jared Gordon in the stand-up, while in the ground Paddy the Baddy will also outclass Jared Gordon as well, this is just what I think and so take it as a grain of salt, and I will surely bet for Paddy Pimlett winning with Submission,

Kickboxing is different than MMA but Israel Adesanya is one of the few champions in modern MMA who is holding the belt without a great ground game, he has a pretty good ground defense but he likes the striking range which is kickboxing in almost all of his fights.

Alex Pereira is fighting for the belt in just his 4th fight in the UFC which is crazy and the funny thing would be if he defeats Israel Adesanya for the third time and then announces his retirement with a perfect record against Israel Adesanya it would be the greatest meme ever  Cheesy.

Yup! Kickboxing is different than MMA that we can not compare the win of Pereira over Israel Adesanya, because those will surely not be applicable anymore, I know I really like their social media squabble and Alex Pereira is Mockingly exchanging videos of his training now fans are comparing their training videos which are hilarious for me, but at the end of the day for me, Israel Adesanya will win this,

I got a big doubt that Pereira could win against Adesanya that now has a great record with MMA, kickboxing is a different combat sport than MMA, and even though he knockout Izzy in the past it doesn't mean he could do it again, and this time they will fight is a different playing field and I think Israel Adesanya is accustomed with the MMA than Pereira, for sure,

Hey Fivestar4everMVP, I see you are new guy here. Welcome !
yeah, i am a new guy here indeed as the above is my first ever comment here, thank you for the welcome, i hope to become active on this thread going forward.

We usually make sort of a event-fight discussion when they are about to happen. The fight you have posted will happen only on UFC 282 and we still have 4 events till then.
Forgive my ignorance, most of us make mistakes on the first time right? i hope you understand Grin.

But, since you've asked here are my thoughts. I dont know why exactly this fight caught your attention, probably because of Pimbletts growing popularity and UFC is promoting him,
Am gonna be honest with you bud, i am pretty new to UFCs, i watched a fight few days back and picked interest, i was looking for ways and how to start placing bets on the fights, i reached out to a forum member whom i believed to be a long time follower of UFC fights, and in the course of our chats, he asked me to get prepared to place my first bet on this fight come December 10th 2022.
I hope the above clears you are every other reader here on why it looked as if i am having a special interest on this fight.

but his opponent is not really a tough guy. Pimblett is 3-o in UFC, Gordon is 7-4 in UFC only. He is an average fighter. I dont expect much from this fight. UFC management one again is picking easy fight for their new milking cow. As Gordon is concentrated on wrestling and BJJ, it will be hard for Pimblett to use his beloved rear naked choke. So this fight is going to be a KO or decision by Paddy the fatty.
Clear enough, thank you for your comment on this man, I very much appreciate it...
though I don't know what 3-0, 7-4 mean actually, i am a total newbie here  Grin

Yup!  I was really impressed with Jake Paul's heart.  To stand toe to toe vs one of the legends of combat sports is really amazing.  I mean with him being just a regular guy and all.  He deserves all the credit.  It really shows that hard work pays off.
It's amazing what he achieved in such a short amount of time, and he earned my full respect after this win.
I know Jake Paul is a big fan of MMA and I heard he is working on creating big competition for UFC, making everything more fair for fighters including paycheck, and Dana White won't like this at all.

Yup, it's really impressive tbh.  I mean I really didn't care to pay a lot of attention when he KO'd Askren and Woodley.  I already knew those two were likely to lose and make fools of themselves.  But this win vs Silva is something else man.  Massive respect and it pique's my interest in what he plans next as he'll be taking on tougher dudes than Silva.  If the next guy is Nate Diaz and Jake Paul wins, OOOMG!  His stock will shoot thru the roof for sure.

Here's the Multi Master guys.  If no one is betting on the matches for the next event at least try to win some free bets.  Smiley

Lack of proper wrestling skill is the only weakness Adesanya has. So far he has been good at avoiding takedowns and keeping all "ground game experts" on the distance. Middleweight division is full of strikers, that is why he has been dominating it and defending his title. But as soon as a guy with wrestling skills like Makhachev or Khamzat have appears in this division, the it will be a really competitive fight for Adesanya. Pereira is strong, but this fight is going to be like mirror match. If fight goes full distance, then the champ will get the win. Or, this fight is going be end when one of fighters gets a lucky punch.

I too am waiting for what others have to say about whether Pereira is really going to win. Adesanya defended his belt for a long time, I am thinking if this fight could change his fate. Or will he finally defeat the guy who had KOed him in the past.

Adesanya's last fight with Canonier ended in a decision in which Cannonier landed heavy blows. If Canonier can do it, Pereira may be able to hit KO Izzy as well.
Based on the odds currently Izzy still become favorite since the odds is @1.55 while Pereira is slight underdog with the odds is @2.31

I think the odds is quite close and many people think Pereira can pull an upset, it's different with Makhachev vs Oliveira before where the challenger e.g. Makhachev become favorited player. It will be interesting if Pereira can beat Izzy via knock out, not many challenger can beat a champion by KO or submission, mostly it's a split decision.

Honestly, I think this is going to be a close fight. At least closer than a lot of people are thinking.

During that previous fight, I believe that many of the weaknesses of Israel Adesanya were exposed to the public.
As a result, I am certain that those weaknesses will also be exploited by his opponent in this fight. As far as I am concerned, Pereira represents the best chance of making an upset in this fight. The thing is though, Adesanya is a much more experienced & younger fighter when compared to Pereira. Throughout this fight, I believe the experience that he has will play a significant role.

I would not say that Jake is really a regular guy. I am 99.99% sure that he has attended wrestling and football training, together with his brother when they were kids. I only like that he did not skip boxing training and keep on improving. However, I think main reward goes to his coaches, that forces him to train instead of goofing around. I think I will only start to respect Jake, when he will face someone his age, someone that is not retired or old to do boxing. I would give more respect to 47 y.o Silva, that looked good next to his younger opponent.

I know Jake Paul is a big fan of MMA and I heard he is working on creating big competition for UFC, making everything more fair for fighters including paycheck, and Dana White won't like this at all.

Well, given he is providing a good paycheck for the MMA fighters to fight in his fiasco, the thing is their reputation as a fighter, but if you are getting a big paycheck why not if it could surely help those retired fighters in getting a little help, for most of his exhibition matches I think it is a worth for fighters to show themselves on the fight, but Jake Paul sure has the ability to train himself to be the fighter he is good at now, but if Uncle Dana could collaborate with Jake Paul to do this I think Dana will take most of the profit than the fighters,

We can't have spectacles every time and my attention was more in boxing event with Anserson Silva losing from youtuber Jake Paul who proved he is a good fighter.

We should make a list of retired middleweight-welterweight UFC champions and speculate who is going to be next Jake Pauls opponent Cheesy

Now, as I have dragged everyone's attention to middleweight, and taking into consideration how boring (boring for me, sorry if hurt someone Cheesy) next event is, we could open a discussion about UFC 281 that will be held on November 12. Adesanya vs Pereira.

There was nothing special for me in this last UFC fight card and I was not really impressed with any fighter.
We can't have spectacles every time and my attention was more in boxing event with Anserson Silva losing from youtuber Jake Paul who proved he is a good fighter.
There was one more UFC fighter on that card and he saved the day for MMA, Urian Hall won against LeVeon Bell in his debut.

As expected for a fight night there are no highly anticipated fights unlike the UFC 280 fight where there were a lot of juicy fights right now for the Fight Night Calvin Kattar fight I only liked 3 fights, but with the UFC 280 there are only 3 fights that I don't like most of them are worth watching, Well frankly that Anderson Silva was a great fight actually even though Silva lost that match, and the Uriah Hall was good as well but still there are still lacking in the field of boxing so he needs to train more,

For me, Nate Diaz is a viable opponent for Jake Paul, he would surely withstand Paul's barrage of punches and even make his own technical punch if necessary, for me Nate Diaz is not an average walk in the park Nate Diaz can surely brawl and can go the distance, so a possibility that Jake Paul would likely gas out during the fight but I surely doubt, because he is still a boxer and still increasing his skill,

And Toptort, yeah...  Some events are just boring like the next one.  I think we only have 4 ranked fighters in the event.  But the thing is that's why we make bets, even if we bet small to make it more entertaining.  Wink  If you don't bet, it's gonna be very boring.

The only match I'm looking forward to is Madsen vs Dawson.  And that too could even be boring as they both have a wrestling base.

^  Go ahead if you want to.  With the event close to happening, I think the roster listed in Tapology will be as close as the final roster imo.  The only changes would prolly be in what order the matches will be.

I kinda feel like we'll see more than the usual number of weight misses here as the UFC looks like they made the roster real quick with short notice matches.  :/
