Yesterday night I had some free time so I examined Tony Ferguson career during his last years. It turns out, that during 2 years, Tony has not won a single round, based on judges score cards. Can you imagine that? And his is on top6 right now.

It is obvious that his career might end soon. So if I were him, I would try to make my last fight memorable. Even if I will lose. Bloody, or TKO/KO, or something that people would really remember. On some youtube video, one guy told that "Hope that Tony wont get down and finish as B.J. Penn" and I thought "right, where is BJ now?" He once was a star, and I simply cant remember how it dim.

I am saddened by UFC fighters that ending their career and doesn't have good records well that is how life goes there are surely fighters that don't keep up to the pacing of new fighters and fighters with extreme talent, I think not to like Khabib Nurmagomenodov that has a flawless record, I surely feel sad about it but life goes on I think even though Tony Ferguson would not continue fighting in the UFC he will surely see a thing that is good for him and he will surely do for the rest of his years, fighting in the ring will surely not last forever and they will eventually be replaced by younger generations,\

That is just the truth, I only wish Tony Ferguson can have another match and from that match a victory before he can seal the deal in the fighting industry.

I really hope so. Honestly, I used to be a Mcgregor fan, and having a firing on all cylinders Conor brings much more depth to an already stacked division. Although, his antics recently have really bored me, and I just have got sick, and tired of him talking like he's the dog bollocks, when hes only won a fight against an aging Cerone in the last, what 3/4 years?
I was never a Conor McGregor fan and even though i was watching his rise from the start i was skeptical about his ability to become the champion because José Aldo was that dominant until that left hand landed and i lost a huge amount of money and the very next fight i placed a bet on Conor McGregor in his very next fight against Nate Diaz thinking about recovering my loss and just two fights busted over 20BTC in multiple gambling sites during that period and hence i will never forget him Grin. The difference is that if he needs to be that dominant he needs to go down to the Featherweight division where he was undefeated and dominated everyone, upper weight division i do not see him having any opportunity to become the champion again.

Poirier does him again, and I see him just calling it a day in terms of challenging for the title. His heart hasn't been in it in a long while. I think he'll only do big fights for money, and probably have a few more boxing matches.
This is not about the heart of a champion. He needs to go down to featherweight division if he wants to win again. He dominated that division and he was confident that he could win in upper weight divisions but he was able to dominate Eddie Alvarez but when he started facing tough competition in that division his weakness was exposed.

I've gone for Carla Esparza to pull off the win. Carla has done pretty well in previous fights especially in the stand up department. I do think it will go the distance though, but I have just gone for Carla as the fight winner.

This is not going to be easy fight for any of them but Carla Esparza could win in this fight but I am leaning more towards Chinese fighter, I think she is better in stand up and this is her chance to go for title fight especially after I watched this Rise of Yan Xiaonan video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZnh7Z7QNDo

They both have exact same reach so no advantage, but Carla Esparza sure has grappling advantage and she is a bit more experienced that Yan.

I just listened to Rob Font and Cody Garbrandt press conference and I must bet on Rob Font to win here, because I think he is more complete fighter
and Cody spent all his time speaking about covid problems he had for months, so it is still in his mind and I doubt he wil lbe 100% mentally ready for this important fight.

Another lean I really like is Esparza to win vs Yan.  I bet on her vs Rodriguez who has better hands than Yan but slighty worse TD defense.  But even then, Esparza is one of the best wrestlers in her division.  I’d say she’s the second best wrestler after Tatiana Suarez.

Edit:  Looking at Esparza’s line, it’s at 2.15 rn.  It was around 2.35 - 2.50 or something at the start if the week.  Seems like the value is slowly going.

He's fought 3 fights since the start of 2020, which is including the recent fight against Dariush. In one of those fights he was stopped (Justin Gaethje). So, him not winning one round isn't that unheard of. The dude has lost 6 fights in his career, and 3 of those are from his last 3 fights. However, they are all against other top 5 fighters. Justin Gaethje, Charles Oliveira, and then Dariush. Alright, Dariush is probably the lesser of the three, but its not like hes fighting nobodies, he's fighting the guys mainly at the top of the division. A very good division might I add.

A nice bet could be to parlay the under 3.5 rounds of the main event with Felicia Spencer to win.  I’m not sure how much the pay out is for that tho.  Could be around 2.45 - 2.55 or something.

And I think Dariush will be an excellent gate keeper vs the younger prospects.  But yeah...  155 is a tough division.
Might be a good shout that. Yeah, I personally consider 155 the most stacked division in terms of top fighters.

Yeah, I'm also staying away from the Font vs Garbrandt. Its just way too close to call, and I expect it to be an absolute war., which from a viewing aspect will be awesome. The odds though don't justify the risk for me, but I'd probably go for Font if anything.

As for Dariush I don't think he's going to get a belt, but I do think he's a great "gate keeper" for the top fighters. I might be wrong, I just don't see him becoming champion when in my opinion there are several better than him in the division.

I'm expecting a lot of knockouts this weekend, so I'll be keeping that in mind when it comes to placing my bets. We've got some big dudes fighting, including Ben Rothwell vs Chris Barnett which I expect to have a TKO in it. I might actually go with Chris Barnett though, decent win streak recently, and is a little bit younger than old Ben who has started to show his age as of recent.

One more bet for this classical China vs USA fight would be that fight will go to distance and winner will be Yan Xiaonan by decision.

I can't deny that Xiaonan has had a good run, considering her least three fights were Gadelha, Kowalkiewicz, and HIll. But all 3 are not on the top of their games lately and Esparza is one tough cookie. This one is tough to call, but I tend to always go (at least in cases like this) with experienced fighters. Esparza has been in some wars so she can maneuver around tough situations, but that being said, CHina based fighters are starting to look more and more skillful....

^  It’s close but I’m on the Font side.  Garbrandt has power but he’s chinny.  I can’t trust him with my money.  But am I betting on Font?  Nope.  I’d rather put some action on Esparza as the underdog.  Her last couple of matches vs strong strikers were wins.  Her next opponent is a striker who could be rated a tad lower below Rodiriguez.

I can not trust anyone of them as well this seems like an equal fight but I think in the ring the most dominant will surely can be seen I like Font because of his versatility he can be a striker even though not good as Garbrandt he can still do damage, and can also be on the ground fight, but now It is really unclear if Font can make Garbrandt tap out or Garbrandt can TKO font, fairly enough I think I will just set my eyes on other things and go to a bet that will have a sure win.

Apart from main event in upcoming UFC I noticed one interesting fighter from China Yan Xiaonan, she has great 13-1 MMA record and her only lose was five years ago.
Betting on her to win against ex champion Carla Esparza may be a good idea, and I can imagine she will try to be new Weili Zhan and challenge Rose Namajunas sometime in the future.
I see big advantage for her in takedown accuracy and takedown defense, she is landing much more strikes than Carla Esparza, and there will be no fans in small ufc apex cage.

Just caught myself that I dont know much about Charles Oliveira. He has a good record in ufc and a series of victories. I wonder why if he is so tough, he hasnt faced former lightweight champion and a fight between them was never discussed ?

Font vs Garbrandt is going to a really close fight. The kind of fights I like most, where there is no obvious winner and you just wait till he makes a mistake.

New UFC rankings are out and Charles Oliveira is the new champion of lightweight division, followed by Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje and Beneil Dariush who is now in third place, followed by Michael Chandler in fourth and McGregor in fifth place.
Big six place jump up for Dariush after beating and dominating Ferguson for all 3 rounds, and he may be in for title fight soon.

I am not that impressed with next Next UFC Fight Night main event in bantamweight category Font vs Garbrandt, but I see UFC is pushing new fighter from Czech republic David Undertaker Dvořák so maybe I check his fight against Brazilian Raulian Paiva and one more prelim fight.

You gotta feel bad for Dariush.  All his next matches will be tooough.

Rob Font VS Cody Garbrandt

Rob Font has a great record in my opinion and has 3 consecutive wins right now I think his last fight was still fresh back on December 19, 2020, so my guess that he is surely ready for this fight, on Cody Garbrandt case his last fight was on June 6, 2020, and due to Covid-19 he really needs to rest that is why he had missed the fight's that are available to take, Garbrandt, in my opinion, can be a glass cannon, in my opinion, he could win this fight with a KO and he could also lose this fight by KO as well because he can be aggressive in his every fight without further caution with his defense,

But if Garbrandt can be patient and calm the mind he might win but Font can make the fight on the ground but both fighters have the speed on their fist even though Font can take this fight on the ground Garbrandt can have a ground defense he can sure finish Rob Font, I guess these two fighters can be equal so I can not think on who's really going to win, this fight is really volatile.

But if you look at stake.com's odds Font had the edge on the odds

Btw, is this it? Charles Oliveira is the new lightweight champ? What about Gaethji and Poirier? Somehow I have missed the moment when it was announced that Oliveira and Chandler would fight for a vacant title.

Poirier choose a payday with Conor and not the gold, and rightly so. It secured him another not bad payday in a trilogy fight, much more than he would get out fighting Oliveira this last weekend. As for them doing it now that Oliveira is the champ...who knows if Dustin will wait for Conor rather than this.

^  Yup it is.  I think it’s pretty obvious the next in line to get a title shot at 155 is the winner of Poirier vs McGregor this July.  So Poirier.  Lolol.  Cheesy

Here’s a couple for free fights to watch for next the card’s main event.  It’s going to be a good one imo.
