Just made a couple of small bets.  Dominick Cruz to win via decision at 3.40 and Ferguson vs Gaethje to go over 2.5 rounds at 2.10.  Both are FJ odds.

Anyway..  Still haven't decided on the winner of the main event itself.  Sometimes I think it's Tony via submission at the fourth or fifth round, sometimes I think it's Gaethje via KO or TKO at prolly the third.  Dunno...  What do you guys think?

The reason i think is because Vince McMahon went ahead with his live drama Wwe in empty stadium and even though it is a scripted one they are in close proximity just like any combat sport and it all depends upon the general sentiment on the backlash if something goes wrong and if they allow a sporting event to conduct the fight then the rest of the sports managers and owners will push to restart their schedule in empty stadiums and it will be a big mess and i am sure they will take all these into account before giving the clearance.

Well, they can always try what WWE had done and made it an online pay per view kind of thing or Dana White can always make money on Gambling as well
and they can always have an empty stadium for the show to go on and I guess after Trump is considering reopening the economy than giving a much deal over making a medicine for the virus, Maybe this is a beginning of a leap through reconsidering the safety of the audience that is.

It is really unfortunate that we are not able to witness this great match up, this is the fifth time and there is no event that was cursed like this in the history of sports.

I think that is how it should be but hopefully, all other matchups can still continue and announcements of the fights will be on May 13 onwards if this will go through this may be a new normal for UFC without any audience involved, but again there are still fighters stuck on their country regarding this changes on the matchups is a must.

I think I saw an interview with Dana a while ago where he says they're contracted to offer them at least three fights per year but the fighter can turn them down, but they don't get paid if they do. Masvidal could easily fight Diaz again (or someone else) and then take a bigger fight when one becomes available. It's not like these big UFC fights are put together on a whim and there's months of planning before they're fully announced so there's plenty of time for fighters to recover and get ready for the next big fight.
The fighters get paid only when they dance in the Octagan and recently they started having back up fighters for main events because we have seen many main events changed at the last moment due to injury and those fighters will get paid fully even if they are not fighting. In the case of Masvidal and Nate Diaz even if Masvidal wanted to have a rematch now Dana White is not interested because another Nate loss would reduce the shine of a Conor McGregor triolgy and i am certain that will be the next fight they will make with Conor.

It might be hard to negotiate with them but Nate would be a fool to not take another fight with either Masvidal or McGregor. I don't know what he's doing for money right now but UFC fighters usually can't afford not to fight for prolonged periods of time and aside from the Masvidal fight I don't think Nate has done anything since Connor. Connor's biggest potential fights right now would surely be either Masvidal or rematches with Diaz & Khabib. None of them would be easy fights for him though.
Nick and Nate Diaz is running a successful marijuana business, the company name is GAME UP and they specialize on CBD products and even Nick was offered several fights but he turned down everything and he is a big super star who could attract a large crowd and Nate is adament that he will fight only if he gets big money and i am sure Dana White will make the Conor Nate trilogy.

Watching the tape of Cejudo vs Moraes...  I think depending on which Cruz shows up, if it's a peak Cruz, he could just very well squeeze out a W via (split) decision here.  Cruz def has the technical skill and the cardio to stay away from Cejudo for 5 rounds.  I don't know what happened to Moraes starting at the second round...  Prolly got tired...?  Already?

It's 3.40 (FJ odds) for Cruz via decision...  I think it's a bet.
I like Dominick Cruz and his unorthodox style and the amount of energy he is spending moving around is huge and he is coming back after a long lay off due to injury, he proved earlier that there is no ring rust as he used to return after a long gap and win against top ranking fighters but this time my only doubt is his age as he is 35 years now and the time away will have an affect on his performance and if he looses i think he will retire. In the fight between Moraes and Cejudo, the first two rounds Moraes dominated the fight and his output was really high and that might swapped his energy but Cejudo started attacking hard in the last two minutes of the second round and took control of the fight.

If Justin Gaethje wins the fight then we might not see Tony and Khabib fight or it will get extended indefinitely because when Khabib returns he will have to fight the winner and then McGregor and Tony might fight for the number one contender spot to fight Khabib. We were on the verge of seeing that fight many times and there is a possibility that we might not see the UFC putting the fight again if Tony looses against Justin Gaethje.

As important regarding some events like these and in getting back with sports betting, I think the safety of many was the most priority of most President for now, but if Dana White and Donald Trump are as you say are close there is still possibility that he would give in to White's request especially if there is money involve and surely enough because of the crisis right now Trump would surely want the money he can get regarding the budget of the government.

There must be some kind of orb effect for Tony and Khabib that they are not destined to see each other in the ring, and if you would look at the records we can see that there are many fights that have been canceled so many times for some reason that I think we are used to this and if we would see another Tony and Khabib fight many would just say "HERE WE GO AGAIN!"

Khabib and Tony is a wet dream for all the MMA fans for years and yet we are not able to watch the fight for some reason or the other, fifth time the fighters were ready but the virus was not ready to accommodate the fight  Roll Eyes.
we are used to this and if we would see another Tony and Khabib fight many would just say "HERE WE GO AGAIN!"
In simple words, Khabib vs Ferguson is soooo cursed Grin (like what Cormier stated lol). It seems that the universe don't want them to fight inside the octagon. But despite of those annoying cancellations, I'm still hoping to watch them battling for glory. Yeah! This is a wet dream for all of us and it really s*cks but I wish Dana could do something in the near future. He must try and try until he succeed.

I don't like to say the word curse but that is what explains the way their fight is not pushing through, There is always a something that destined them to not face each other in the ring and I challenge Dana White in getting away in making them fight even if not in an official match but certainly a match that most fans are waiting to happen.

You guys need to watch this again and judge if the odds the bookies are laying for Gaethje at 2.55 (FJ) is worth it.  I think it's worth it.  But that's just me..  And people that know me around here know I get it wrong a lot of the time.  Lolol.

Edit:  Third round and Gaethje prop at FJ at 17.  Hmmm...  What do you guys think?

You are not really wrong in giving us any means to really determine who is at an advantage between these two fighters, and even if you don't really make a right decision sometimes it doesn't mean that you don't have the right to do it, this is all in speculation and we are in risk in every gamble that we make, There is not always a perfect run in making a bet.

I had the same reaction live.  But then, watching the replay..?  As much as I would've loooved to see the match go on, it was the right stoppage

As above, I don't disagree with it, it's just a shame when it happens. I had similar feelings with the Fury/Wilder towel throw in. I could see why his coach did it, but I like to see fights out wherever possible. Obviously the health of fighters is paramount but that's also why I like to see rematches if there's not a clear winner. Fights going to points is always frustrating as well, especially when it's close.

Yup...  But with Masivdal vs Diaz, I don't think it deserves a rematch.  It wasn't even close.  Diaz was getting his ass kicked the whole time out there.

I do completely agree with your point, doctor stoppage will take away the glory of a hard fought victory
and i am sure none of the fighters wanted that to happen, the situation with Masvidal is that he is fighting for a really long time, you can watch his backyard brawls in Kimbo Slice videos and had many split decision losses and this is the first opportunity for him to fight for the title and he earned this opportunity and became a start after 15 years in the sport and if he keeps on delaying that he might miss the title opportunity he is waiting all his life.

But on the flipside how many fights are they going to miss out whilst they're waiting for the big one? Fighters can fight easy three times a year easy, but these days you're lucky to get one fight a year from one of the big guys.

I am sure Dana White created the BMF belt for Nate Diaz and he might have expected him to win and if that happened he wanted Conor McGregor to fight Nate Diaz in a trilogy for the belt on the line and it would have been epic but Masvidal derailed all his plans  Cheesy. Another problem is that it is really hard to negotiate with the Diaz brothers and Dana White is vocal about it in the media.

It might be hard to negotiate with them but Nate would be a fool to not take another fight with either Masvidal or McGregor. “How confident are you that Khabib and Tony will fight at some point this year?” White was asked by a commenter.

“Not very.” White said, following up with, “I’m afraid of what will happen next if we try to make that happen again.”
[/i]
Oh my god! It already came from Dana's mouth. I lose now the slightest hope I had. It seems that Khabib vs Ferguson fight will just be buried and forgotten for a very long time Cry. But well, there is next year, maybe 2021 is the right year for this match up to happen.
Alvarez spoke to James Lynch of theScore MMA and explained why he feels McGregor would best Ferguson if the two ever share the Octagon (h/t BJPenn.com).

“I think Conor would put Tony away. I’d like to see him fight Gaethje, but I’m off the belief he beats Gaethje, but I would like to see the fight. I’d still like to see it. I don’t like the style matchup for him with Khabib. I don’t think he has enough experience in that realm to overcome Khabib at any point.”

Hahaha, so Eddie also believe that Tony can't beat Khabib Grin. Anyway, I think Tony vs Conor would be a great battle as well. They got the same fighting style (though Tony knows more on the ground) so we could expect a bloody combat between them. Nonetheless, Khabib is the goat ~ change my mind lol.

I speculate on uncle Dana's new storyboard for UFC lightweight might be Conor to fight winner of El Cucuy versus Justin Gaethje for 2020.

During a Reddit AMA, White responded to a fan who asked if he believes Nurmagomedov vs. Ferguson will happen before 2020 comes to a close (via MMAJunkie.com).

“How confident are you that Khabib and Tony will fight at some point this year?” White was asked by a commenter.

Also, this statement from a person who has experience on fighting Conor. It appears Dana also knows this.

I don't disagree with the stoppage, it's just not a fully fair win in my opinion even if Masvidal was winning or dominating. Masvidal should have at least given him the courtesy to finish the fight properly. If it was an easy and dominant win for him then there should be nothing to worry about in a rematch. Anything can happen in a fight though.

It looked both Diaz and Masvidal were interested in the rematch but it was Dana who seemed like he wasn't interested, more likely because he was dreaming of bigger fights involving them and McGregor or Khabib.

Gaethje is the perfect opponent to test him everywhere.  I mean just watch Ferguson's fight vs Kevin Lee.  He was kinda tested.  But lucky for him Lee had staph infection and had to take antibiotics which could've affected Lee's performance.
Even i had this opinion that Kevin Lee lost the fight because of staph infection affected his performance and Joe Rogan did a really good job to place that belief in everyone but after seeing the fights after that, what is the common factor, Kevin Lee gets tired all the time after the second or third round and that is what happened in the Tony fight. Kevin Lee has huge plans on how to defeat Khabib but he is not even able to defeat Al Iaquinta, Rafael dos Anjos or his recent defeat against Charles Oliveira in which Kevin Lee missed weight.

The reason i am amazed with Tony Ferguson is because he always finds a way to win the fight and all of his opponents looks like they all went through a torture chamber after the fight Cheesy and both Gaethje and Tony will not hold back and it will be a good entertaining fight for the fans as both will shed blood.

^  Lol.  Don't.  Ngannou's a beast and Cruz hasn't fought in a while.

^  But the thing with Ferguson is he always gets hit.  And his chin hasn't really been tested from what I've seen of him.  There was that fight with Pettis tho when he got a wee bit wobbly...  But then Ferguson started doing tumble flips.  Lawl.
Justin Gaethje is the perfect opponent to test his chin, in almost all of the fights Tony Ferguson eat a lot of punches and people have taken him to the ground and the flip and roll when Pettis wobbled him and i have not seen anyone doing an imanari roll before when they are disoriented and that is why Tony is really unpredictable as you never know what he is going to do and somehow finds a way to win.

Gaethje is the perfect opponent to test him everywhere.  I mean just watch Ferguson's fight vs Kevin Lee.  He was kinda tested.  But lucky for him Lee had staph infection and had to take antibiotics which could've affected Lee's performance.

The head strikes Nate Diaz took is the reason his eyes were swollen shut and to fight against Jorge Masvidal who is not tired nor taken much damange and Nate Diaz to fight without seeing the opponent is too dangerous as he could injure his eyes permanently, just remember the Michael Bisping situation as he lost his eye during a fight and he never regained that vision fully. It is a dangerous sports even though it is entertainment for the viewers and fans and hence i respect the doctors decision, if he fight was conducted elsewhere then the doctor would have approved carrying on with the fight, the rules in New York are a bit strict than the rest of the places because they have witnessed boxing deaths inside the ring and after those events they take these seriously.

Most people seem to think the first Fury/Wilder fight Fury was winning up until he got knocked down and was nearly KOd completely and that's all it takes. You could be dominating a fight 100% and then you get stung with a killer blow. It looked both Diaz and Masvidal were interested in the rematch but it was Dana who seemed like he wasn't interested, more likely because he was dreaming of bigger fights involving them and McGregor or Khabib.
