You are just joking, right? Don't tell me that what you are thinking of Khabib's sparring partner would be a bear? Nah, a hell no! Yeah, he wrestle with a baby bear when he was a child but mate he is an adult now and it would be dangerous if he will fight a bear with the same size (the most insans idea we ever could think of). Okay fine let's assume that Khabib can match a bear's strength but it was still a bad idea because of intellectual gap. Only his fellow human can push him into his limits and improve as a fighter .

I dont know who Khabib could train with, maybe Islam Makhachev, but he is on different level and Islam would learn more from that trainings
I think Javier need to bring someone close to Ferguson fight style, but cant imagine who that would be and will he be able to pass all the COVID-19 checking before entering the gym.

I like this but we know that's not going to happen. We have no idea when this COVID-19 pandemic will end but when this is over, merging two or three UFC fight nights would not be that bad even for Dana. Maybe two main events can be scheduled one week after the other.

I reckon uncle Dana should cancel everything and organize all of the main events in 1 UFC event after the war versus the coronavirus is finished hehehe.

I started following Khabib after he signed with the UFC with an undefeated record and when he threw away Abel Trujillo like a kid i was shocked to see a performance like that and was following his fights after that fight and he was injury prone but now he is maintaining his health and that is a good sign if not he would have been the champion a long time back, the video with the bear was released after he joined UFC if i remember correctly.

The Muslim countries will welcome his fight with open hands even in these situations and may be that is the reason Dana White is confident that the fight will carry on even in this dire situation.

He still can do that. Future fights will be postponed until the virus still is a threat no sportsbetting for us here. You can just play dice and I guess Khabib will just be fighting against a bear again.

Well, I'm sure that his coach will not allow such thing for sure because the risk is very high. They can't afford Khabib to get sick.

Maybe what he really mean is that their gym will solely occupied by Khabib along with his practice partners for the meantime. Mate you can't practice wrestling alone, yeah you can do drills but actual practice still matters.

This is one of the most cursed fight in history and if both the fighters are healthy then i am sure they will find investors from UAE and Saudi to carry on with the fight as they have plenty of money to make the fight just for the royal people as audience and with the growing support Khabib have in these regions if the UFC is not able to make in fight in the US then they will shift to these regions.

I did understand and hence said about deflation factor but considering him as an athlete he can fight if he trains and not against top level fighters, if Dave Bautista can fight a journey man and make his debut in MMA why not John Cena without any USADA testing ofcourse .

Why would not Khabib train in Dagestan ? Sure he wont caught virus on fresh air in the mountains. The only trouble he could get there - army of fans

Hope Khabib did not have to cut weight. As being under such stress, it is more likely to to catch COVID-19 or any other crap.

P.S. If he is training alone, then who are his sparing partners? I've heard about shadow boxing, but what about shadow wrestling ?

Check this out guys! Head coach Javier Mendez said that Khabib is the only one allowed to train in their gym right now. What do you guys think about this? Hmm for me it was a good move especailly that the fight night is coming soon (just hoping it will not be cancelled) and they can't afford Khabib getting sick because of the recent virus. Actually, it was a super precautionary measure so props to him . Well maybe some of you might see this as an act of a little bit selfishess since other fighters can't train but for me that's understandable. Such sacrifice is nothing compare to the pride Khabib can bring for their gym and for all of them .

There's something about this Khabib-Ferguson that the fight Gods doesn't seem to like

At least he is doing something for the UFC 249 to still continue and finding a better place where there is still no pandemic reports, but I think the Atlantic Region would be a great place for this fight but just kidding,



The event will still continue as planned but there is no given place yet, I hate to admit but as far as the virus is concerned here the safety of the all comes first, I don't really want to cancel the UFC 249 as well but safety comes first, but I suggest to make the fight in a close concealed place where the fighters and referee is the one allowed and people watching will just be in a confined space where contact is not allowed but still I think this is impossible.

^  UFC 249 could be the last event before Dana White (he's so hell bent for it to go on even if it doesn't happen in the US) finally gives in and announces all events are cancelled indefinitely.

They can make Khabib Nurmagomedov VS Tony Ferguson fight behind closed doors and make a new record of PPV subscriptions sold. Don't know much about Ferguson fans, but 90-99% of Khabib fans are not from US and will sure buy a subscription.

Plus, as due to coronavirus every venue, sport bars (most likely), other facilities are closed, number of people interested to buy PPV are huge.

is a great displeasure for all the fans that the matches have been canceled, postponed but it is better for safety, health for all, certainly the Khabib Nurmagomedov VS Tony Ferguson match canceled five times would be a good negative record, we will see...

It is really a let down for many fans because of the Cancelled fights that will be held this March but this is for the benefit of all because of the COVID-19 outbreak that is happening right now and we all need to cooperate in terms of understanding the virus itself and listening and respecting the authorities policy of the quarantine or lockdown on many places, and this are all fights that are canceled

I am pretty saddened for all three matches was really canceled especially with the Francis Ngannou and Alistair Overeem fight that I really want to see and with the woman's division Aspen Ladd  and Michelle Waterson's fights was I was waiting for the most but sad to say it is frustrating but pretty much OK about it because this is all part of the safety of these fighters and all that will be watching it live,

All I wish is that the UFC 249 against Khabib Nurmagomedov VS Tony Ferguson will still continue because this fight is long-awaited by fans and I don't know if this will be Cancelled again if it did this is the fifth time.

Cage Warriors sounds intimidating already. First time I heard of it but yes why not.
If there is nothing else to bet in MMA sports because no brave souls risking their lives in the name of entertainment while corona virus is circulating, why not.

Guys, I have updated the post about the event UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Edwards. The info about John Cena fighting against Woodley was probably a joke by someone, who simple edited fight card.

The bad news are - Dana White decided to cancel (or better say postpone) this event. Plus, the UFC also postpone next two events, that were planned on March 28 and April 11...

Small good news - some fighter will manage to participate on Cage Warriors event on March 20. (The event will be broadcast live on UFC FightPass)

Don't know much about this promotion. The only thing I know that Conor McGregor was a part of it before he was signed by UFC.

For John Cena to fight he needs to get all the steroids out of his system and it will take about a year and by that time he will be deflated like a balloon and he is not even a trained fighter to fight professionally.

I bet Dana White do not want to postpone any fights but they will be forced to move these events because the situation demands it and i doubt Khabib and Tony will happen as scheduled.
