UFC 243 is still far from today but when I checked Nitrogensports and see the odds between Adesanya vs Whittaker, I was surprised to see the odds for Adesanya at +124 while Whittaker is at -140 meaning Adesanya is the underdog in this match. I am a fan of Adesansya and I haven't watched any fight of Whittaker, but I think as the fight draws near, odds will be different or tables might be turned.
Robert is slugger and battle tested. He narrowly won against Yoel (although I thought Yoel won that fight). Maybe it's the experience that made him the favorite at the moment. Israel is a better fighter technically imo and I do agree that the odds will be in his favor a few days from now.
Exactly, Robert has face a lot of name foes in the past, i.e. Yoel Romero, Souza, Brunson and the current champion. Yep, we all know that odds really do change specially when the fight date draw near.
I mean, betting on Khabib is basically almost no risk money, however, the odds are so bad that it's really not worth it, it's a fight after all, he can still get knocked out randomly. I wouldn't want to bet 1k to win 20 dollars with the possibility of losing everything.
Remember the time when Anderson Silva was knocked out when we thought he will win that last fight but he got knocked out because he was clowning around. There will be a point in time that they will get sloppy and other fighter will be lucky to tag Khabib. But Khabib is at his prime and I don't think losing at this point in time is not likely to happen. Very small chance.
Well, it can happen but it doesn't mean it will happen, look at floyd, he never got KO'd even after dozens of fights. Khabib seems to have a strong chin and definitely strong mentality, the chances of him getting ko'd randomly are slim but they are still there.
We can't compare Floyd here, he never got KO'd because he is a defensive genius and he doesn't clown around as Anderson during his prime.
Definitely it can happen to the best of them, however, as you have said Khabib has a good chin and again he has a good IQ. Anderson's career was built around his talent and speed and when that is gone, people started to tag him and even KO him.
