Hey guys...  Here's a vid of Andrade.  It's pretty obvious Zhang has nothing on her.  It's too early for Zhang to be given a shot at the belt (but we've been surprised before).

And watch this vid.  Any press conference with Adesanya is the nuts.  Smiley  Can't wait for these guys to throw leather!

"I'd like to take this chance to apologise, to absolutely everybody" - Conor

So it looks like a heart felt message to me as well. Anyways maybe people misunderstood his antics specially on that occasion and then as a person he find time to realised that what he did is a total dick moved specially when he found out that it was recorded.
You do not need to be a genius to know that he punched an elderly person and that too for neglecting the offer Conor gave. The only thing he can do is to come out and save his public image and i expected this interview because the backlash he got after the video is published was damaging for his brand. It was not a heart felt message, it was a PR stunt because the incident took place a few months ago and only now the video is out for the public, so you can guess what the truth is  Grin.

I wish the senior citizen files a lawsuit and he wins a million dollars for his dick move. Cheesy

So did anyone see the interview with Conor on ESPN? I think he was pretty legit. Sure, there was PR involved too, but overall it sees like a heartfelt message, he really regrets that. I don't think Conor McGregor is a bad person same as I don't think Mike Tyson is a bad person. They both have been scumbags, but I think they are similar when dealing with fame. This is why Tyson recently said McGregor deserves a second chance and I agree.

I think he's becoming clearly underrated. The sports and entertainment business is brutal and former accomplishments are quick forgotten. Guy cleaned the lightweight division and became the first ever double champ. Im pretty sure he will bounce back eventually.

I did saw his interview with  Ariel Helwani "

I too saw his long but entertaining interview, it looks like he really wishes to change and we all should support him. There were lots of emotions to be seen in this interview, but if you’ll carefully observe many words were repeatedly used which I felt was sloppy work by his PR. Also his claim of never retiring is dumb, after a certain age every fighter has to leave the ring, so what do you’ll think of his decision of never retiring.

He is partly to blame for this. He was the first one in my opinion to successfully elevate his mma fighting career to a celebrity status. As we know by now, media will build you up and tear you down in an instant. If only he can focus again and drop the party life, he can still be a champ.

I just saw an ad that Ben Askren will be fighting again in October. He will be facing Damian Maia for the main event. The promotion for this fight will be very interesting. I want to see if Askren still knows how to talk trash after eating some knee  Grin

Main Card (ESPN)
Women's Strawweight:  Jéssica Andrade vs Weili Zhang
I don't think Andrade could defend her title against Zhang which is so ferocious. I know she is strong, no doubt about it but she is also slow that's why Rose easily burst her face during their last match. For me she's just quite lucky for knocking her down after her 2nd takedown Grin. It is very clear that Rose dominated their match, but that devastating takedown suddenly changed the game lol.

Well, she able to beat Rose so I think she deserve to be treated like a champ, period. Besides, she win in a clean and decent way so there's already nothing to talk about. Don't get me wrong, I'm not questioning her capabilities. I'm just getting a little bit skeptic that she can be able to hold her title for a very long time.

how is it even possible that Poirier can get the job done? Im sorry but no.
You never know. We've already witnessed in the past that a single punch or a single mistake can change the entire fight. Even a wrong weight cuts or conditioning can adversely affect a fighter.

Meh, it can but that's like waiting for a fighter to lose because of a heart attack in the middle of the fight or any other extremely unlikely random event. Mayweather won dozens of matches in a row without ever losing.

The old man was lucky, the punch didn't hit him directly, otherwise you will be knock out cold by Conor. Or it could be probably a setup, we don't know. We all know that Conor is good promoting himself and we have seen him acting strange in the public, so I' not surprised by this publicity stunt.
I do not think this as a set up and the video is sold to TMZ for a huge amount and Conor McGregor will not do that to tarnish his reputation for hitting an old man for not drinking his whiskey, this is a sucker move by all means, if he wants to fight do that in the Octagon or in the gym and not go in the public and start a fight with old people and that too for not respecting his offer of free drinks. Conor McGregor admitted his fault about his altercation in the pub and these acts will not gain him many fans, even if he wants to come back to fight there are no easier fights for him, it is funny to see all his excuses about his loss against Khabib.

I do personally believe that in his 'prime' (before leaving ufc after eddie alvarez fight) he would have been a tough fight for Khabib, perhaps even win against him. His striking is amazing, no one can deny that. Khabib's striking power is really bad, he can barely KO anyone, however, Mcgregor came in really badly, not enough training, waaay too much alcohol, etc. He got destroyed, Khabib even won in striking.

Is Nate Diaz Dana's new pet? He might be.
“Yeah, pretty tough to deny (his superstardom),” White told media members during the UFC 241 post-fight scrum. “He’s a needle-mover now.”[/i]
Yup. I think Nate has been a needle-mover for quite some time now. He got the leverage after defeating McGregor after their first fight. I believe Dana was forced to make a better offer to Nate before the second fight took place.

Indirectly, Conor made all these UFC fighters become better at handling the business side of the MMA fight industry.

What a strange behave feom Conor. Was he drunk? Luckly (and strange also) his punch did not knock out that old man. Another strange thing is that this old man survived this punch and continued to sit or relax in the nar. He shoud go to ufc  Cheesy he seems like and old version of Roy Nelson, who simply eats punches like that and continue like nothing happened  Grin

Conor lost the plot some time ago, I don’t think we’ll ever see him back to his best. All the partying & money has ruined him as a fighter.

Is Nate Diaz Dana's new pet? He might be. It appears Conor's leading fan, Dana, has become Nate's fan after a video of Conor punching an old man went viral hehe.

UFC president White spoke to reporters during the UFC 241 post-fight press conference. When asked about Diaz’s star power, White couldn’t deny that the Stockton native has the “it” factor (via Bloody Elbow).

“Yeah, pretty tough to deny (his superstardom),” White told media members during the UFC 241 post-fight scrum. “He’s a needle-mover now.”

TMZ Sports reports that the incident took place inside The Marble Arch Pub in Dublin on April 6. The story goes that McGregor offered to buy shots of Proper No. Twelve whiskey for the patrons. McGregor insisted people indulge, however one man refused and paid dearly for it.

It’s unclear if the two traded words, but McGregor was heated enough to punch the older man.

Btw, UFC 242 has an interesting card.

There will be not much TKO/KO this time, as a part of the fighters are natural-born-wrestle-lovers  Cheesy
Only the title fight really interest me in this card. I never really thought Poirier would come to this point in his career and it would be a great story if he can dethrone Khabib.

We will probably see more chokes or tapouts. TKO is also more likely to happen from the ground and pound
