The old man was lucky, the punch didn't hit him directly, otherwise you will be knock out cold by Conor. Or it could be probably a setup, we don't know. We all know that Conor is good promoting himself and we have seen him acting strange in the public, so I' not surprised by this publicity stunt.
I do not think this as a set up and the video is sold to TMZ for a huge amount and Conor McGregor will not do that to tarnish his reputation for hitting an old man for not drinking his whiskey, this is a sucker move by all means, if he wants to fight do that in the Octagon or in the gym and not go in the public and start a fight with old people and that too for not respecting his offer of free drinks. Conor McGregor admitted his fault about his altercation in the pub and these acts will not gain him many fans, even if he wants to come back to fight there are no easier fights for him, it is funny to see all his excuses about his loss against Khabib.

I do personally believe that in his 'prime' (before leaving ufc after eddie alvarez fight) he would have been a tough fight for Khabib, perhaps even win against him. His striking is amazing, no one can deny that. Khabib's striking power is really bad, he can barely KO anyone, however, Mcgregor came in really badly, not enough training, waaay too much alcohol, etc. He got destroyed, Khabib even won in striking.

Is Nate Diaz Dana's new pet? He might be.
“Yeah, pretty tough to deny (his superstardom),” White told media members during the UFC 241 post-fight scrum. “He’s a needle-mover now.”[/i]
Yup. I think Nate has been a needle-mover for quite some time now. He got the leverage after defeating McGregor after their first fight. I believe Dana was forced to make a better offer to Nate before the second fight took place.

Indirectly, Conor made all these UFC fighters become better at handling the business side of the MMA fight industry.

What a strange behave feom Conor. Was he drunk? Luckly (and strange also) his punch did not knock out that old man. Another strange thing is that this old man survived this punch and continued to sit or relax in the nar. He shoud go to ufc  Cheesy he seems like and old version of Roy Nelson, who simply eats punches like that and continue like nothing happened  Grin

Conor lost the plot some time ago, I don’t think we’ll ever see him back to his best. All the partying & money has ruined him as a fighter.

Is Nate Diaz Dana's new pet? He might be. It appears Conor's leading fan, Dana, has become Nate's fan after a video of Conor punching an old man went viral hehe.

UFC president White spoke to reporters during the UFC 241 post-fight press conference. When asked about Diaz’s star power, White couldn’t deny that the Stockton native has the “it” factor (via Bloody Elbow).

“Yeah, pretty tough to deny (his superstardom),” White told media members during the UFC 241 post-fight scrum. “He’s a needle-mover now.”

TMZ Sports reports that the incident took place inside The Marble Arch Pub in Dublin on April 6. The story goes that McGregor offered to buy shots of Proper No. Twelve whiskey for the patrons. McGregor insisted people indulge, however one man refused and paid dearly for it.

It’s unclear if the two traded words, but McGregor was heated enough to punch the older man.

his father is able to attend and be in the corner for the first time in his UFC career and his entire family will be present in the arena for the first time and that too in a big event.

Aahhh, didn’t know that Abdulmanap will be in his corner. Thats great. He wont let Khabin freak out if Dustin will try to taunt him Smiley

Btw, UFC 242 has an interesting card.

There will be not much TKO/KO this time, as a part of the fighters are natural-born-wrestle-lovers  Cheesy
Only the title fight really interest me in this card. I never really thought Poirier would come to this point in his career and it would be a great story if he can dethrone Khabib.

We will probably see more chokes or tapouts. TKO is also more likely to happen from the ground and pound

Among 22 fighters, 6 are from Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. Countries that a close to Khabib's home country aka wrestling/grappling/sambo/judo fighters.

The fight is scheduled in Abu Dhabi and it is expected we will see fighters around the USSR region and majority from Khabib's team in Dagestan and the best thing about Khabib Nurmagomedov is that his father is able to attend and be in the corner for the first time in his UFC career and his entire family will be present in the arena for the first time and that too in a big event. I am not sure whether these things will create pressure for him to perform to his best or will falter under the pressure, Dustin Poirier has improved a lot in the stand up game in the past few years and it will be an interesting fight for the fans.

Doubt it, he knows that's where the big money is at. Anyone that knows Khabib or Tony knows it's the best fight right now, Khabib vs Poirier is going to be just another shitty fight for khabib, Tony, however, will be tough, probably the toughest fight for Khabib.
Khabib Nurmagomedov is a needle mover in Dana's terms after winning the belt mainly because of his religious affiliation and so is the reason Poireir v Khabib is being scheduled in UAE because they are paying a hell lot of money to host Khabib, Poireir is fighting really well and a good stand up fighter but everyone knows what Khabib does, no one can resist his take downs and he is the best ground and pound fighters in MMA, Tony fight might not be a PPV blockbuster but a hell of a fighter who can challenge Khabib on the ground.

Dana might be afraid to organize Tony Ferguson versus Khabib again hehe. He already organized it 5 times and something always went wrong and canceled. It is cursed!

That is the only fight all the fight fans are waiting for a few years simply because of the curiosity factor as Tony is really good on the ground and Khabib's game plan is to take everyone to the ground, both have incredible stamina but we know that good wrestlers can take Tony to the ground but what he does on the ground is what intrigues me, if Khabib defeats Dustin Poirier then the next fight to make is Tony and the entire division will be praying for Khabib to loose especially Conor McGregor as he will have another shot at the title  Cheesy.

I've heard Tony Ferguson had mental head issues. Doctors suggested him not to fight anymore
He had a mental break down, he is not injured physically and so is the reason he did not fight for the interim championship belt against Dustin poirier.

I've heard Tony Ferguson had mental head issues. Doctors suggested him not to fight anymore, as his brain is already damaged. Did he recover? What do you think? He might have checked at the doctor after fight with Cerrone (it wasn't mentioned in press that he is 100% recovered or still visits doctors (or still have problems)).

But still make sense to put the fight for the fans right? Because we wanted how to see the style of those two clash in the octagon. So I'm sure Dana will put in the future until the breaks that cursed!

I also agree with @tokeweed, Nate Diaz just wanted to milk what's left in him. And he can still bring fans to the arena, that's why Dana is willing to match Nate Diaz to anyone at that weight division.

I just don't see why Poirier got the fight with Khabib and not Fergusson or someone else.
He is supposed to because he's the interim champ when he won against Holloway. At the time when the interim belt was up for grabs, I believe Ferguson was unavailable to fight. Anyway, he is just waiting for the winner of the Khabib-Poirier fight.

The Miocic-Cormier 2 was really the highlight of UFC 241. Both fighters were just rolling through the punches and it was an awesome slugfest. Cormier may have spent too much energy trying to finish Miocic early and he could no longer sustain it in the championship rounds. Great strategy and thinking for Miocic going to the body.

Correct, even if Miocic was battered in the early rounds, his chin really hold up and DC slowing down gives him the perfect opportunity to turn the tide into his favour. He saw the opening, took his chance specially with the body shot and it paid off in the end.

The Diaz-Pettis did not live up to the hype I think.

Pettis is done already.

I'm really stoked for khabib vs poirier although I don't think poirier has any real chance, I mean he lost badly against Mcgregor, how is he going to win against Khabib? He doesn't have better wrestling and his stand up skills are perhaps a bit better but still, seems extremely unlikely.

Poirier be better prepare with Khabib's takedown, otherwise it will be just McGregor vs Khabib fight, one-sided.

You can't prepare for something like that, you either have it or not, Mcgregor takedown defense was actually quite good and he still got rekt, I just don't see why Poirier got the fight with Khabib and not Fergusson or someone else.

Strange that Nate wants to fight Masvidal. I simply don't understand what for? Masvidal is a badass, but that is it. He is not holding welterweight ufc belt, so why fight him, instead of Kamaru?
NATE DIAZ said hes so rich he only want to fight the 'baddest mother *******' and can you blame him.
MASVIDAL just had the 5 sec KO so this fight makes good sense to me

I think he pretty much wants to milk what's left in his career and fight the big fights that makes the most money.  IMHO.  So that means Masvidal and later prolly McGregor and Khabib.
