I don't know who's next on Khabib, he is way above the competition now. I'm sure he will look for money fights now, Conor? Floyd?  Grin

Going up to next division to get next belt. Dont think that will be hard, as Khabin needs to cut a lot of weight before each fight.

Juggy777, Ive told you to bet on Khabins victory vis rear naked choke. Hope you’ve done it.

Or it would be Tony first and then Khabib going up to the next division. We have been waiting for Tony vs Khabib for a while so it's about time to see them fight and Khabib cleaning the division. Conor vs Khabib is just for the paycheck though.

Complete dominance from Khabib and he submitted Dustin Poirier, what a fight, i am watching it in the arena and it is unbelievable, you got to watch it live to feel the presence. I am stoppipng this here and will update when i get home.

Damn, I envy you man, just look at UFC's official twitter account, "Videos are is not available in your location".  Grin.

You talking about money fight?

Conor McGregor calls for Khabib Nurmagomedov rematch in Russia
Quote

Conor McGregor wasn’t present in Abu Dhabi for UFC 242 but obviously he was paying attention.

Not long after Khabib Nurmagomedov defended his lightweight title against Dustin Poirier in the main event, McGregor decided to inject himself in the conversation about who will face the undefeated Russian next.

The door was opened by UFC president Dana White after he was asked about McGregor receiving a rematch with Nurmagomedov after their first fight was the biggest pay-per-view in company history.

That will be huge and that is where the money is. But I'm not sure if Russia should be the venue though. To generate huge PPV numbers, the fight should be in the US.

Too much rush and i did not get the time to check anything, back home after a fun time  Smiley.
Tony will be his next opponent, Khabib will not go after money fight and he completely turned down any possible rematch against Conor until he comes back and prove he is a worthy title contender. Justin Gaethje will be on the line after that and it depends upon his match against Donald Cerrone.

The big one tonight, I really hope Khabib gets knocked out but realistically it’s not going to happen is it. He’s going to bore his way to a victory like he always does Sad
Dustin Poirier is a really great fighter but he never faced anyone who had a good wrestling base and that will be the issue here, all of Dustin Poirier's prior opponents are strikers and he defeated everyone but Khabib is a different animal and with his dad in his corner he will stick to his basics and will go for take downs rather than strike with him, Poirier is known for his six punch combination and that does not work against a wrestler and that too against a wrestler of Khabib's caliber.

Nice analysis. Dustin is a stand up fighter and most of his fights are good because it was a total brawl and that's why he squeak some win. But we all know that Khabib's grappling and wrestling is well documented. And I'm sure that once Dustin feel the grind against Khabib he will be shock and can't cope up with it.

Khabib can fight standing up, but his strengths is wrestling and I do hope that Dustin has answers once Khabib suffocated him and won't give him any chance on the ground. Probably good for the first minute of the first round and after that it will all be Khabib.

Around a couple more hours to go before the event!  I feel like the main event is not being given the attention it deserves.  Poirier is a live dog here imho.

Anyway thinking about putting some action on Barboza with the slightly better odds at 1.72...

Ben Askren also uses boring wrestling +gnp style, but had lost by a knee to the chin . Khabibs boring style can be countered by that.
It was a well timed knee by Masvidal and anyone could loose in a fight, Khabib showed his skills and everyone knows what he is trying to do as it is not a secret and yet no one is able to stop him till now, if someone is able to have any offense that could be Tony Ferguson in my opinion as he also has a good ground game and could submit people from the bottom.

At first, I though only the title card is interesting match up but as I watch the videos leading up to the fight, it seems Barbosa-Felder is also one to watch. This is one of the few match ups where you don't hear a lot of trash talks. I'm rooting for Felder and Poirier.
There are a lot of good fights in this fight card, Mairbek Taisumov v Diego Ferreira both are finishers, Curtis Blaydes needs to have a good fight to be back in the title picture after his devastating loss against Ngannou and Makhachev and Ramos are good ground fighters which is another interesting one as well as the rematch of Felder and Barboza, on papers all the favorite should win but i feel there are some upsets coming Wink.

Anderson Silva and Adesanya somehow has the similarity of character which could also his downfall if he showboat in this fight. But I certainly don't get why he would be the underdog here.  Kabib isn't just successful taking downs he also box quite good, it stun Mcgregor after a fake take down and throw a right cross to his jaw. Both Kabib and Poirier are serious fighter.

Getting a 'lucky' shot on Mcgregor after faking a takedown doesn't mean khabib is a good striker, he isn't. The statistics don't lie, Khabib barely ko's people even though he is able to take them down consistently and pound them on the ground and yet he still can't ko people.

UFC 243 is still far from today but when I checked Nitrogensports and see the odds between Adesanya vs Whittaker, I was surprised to see the odds for Adesanya at +124 while Whittaker is at -140 meaning Adesanya is the underdog in this match. I am a fan of Adesansya and I haven't watched any fight of Whittaker, but I think as the fight draws near, odds will be different or tables might be turned.
Robert is  slugger and battle tested. He narrowly won against Yoel (although I thought Yoel won that fight). Maybe it's the experience that made him the favorite at the moment. Israel is a better fighter technically imo and I do agree that the odds will be in his favor a few days from now.

Exactly, Robert has face a lot of name foes in the past, i.e. Yoel Romero, Souza, Brunson and the current champion. Yep, we all know that odds really do change specially when the fight date draw near.

I mean, betting on Khabib is basically almost no risk money, however, the odds are so bad that it's really not worth it, it's a fight after all, he can still get knocked out randomly. I wouldn't want to bet 1k to win 20 dollars with the possibility of losing everything.
Remember the time when Anderson Silva was knocked out when we thought he will win that last fight but he got knocked out because he was clowning around. There will be a point in time that they will get sloppy and other fighter will be lucky to tag Khabib. But Khabib is at his prime and I don't think losing at this point in time is not likely to happen. Very small chance.

Well, it can happen but it doesn't mean it will happen, look at floyd, he never got KO'd even after dozens of fights. Khabib seems to have a strong chin and definitely strong mentality, the chances of him getting ko'd randomly are slim but they are still there.

We can't compare Floyd here, he never got KO'd because he is a defensive genius and he doesn't clown around as Anderson during his prime.

Definitely it can happen to the best of them, however, as you have said Khabib has a good chin and again he has a good IQ. Anderson's career was built around his talent and speed and when that is gone, people started to tag him and even KO him.

I mean, khabib is not a defensive genius but the fact that he can take down anyone and 70-80% of the time, both fighters are on the ground with khabib on top, that reduces the chances of getting ko'd drastically as it's almost impossible to ko someone from the ground.

If you are having a great defense then no one will touch your chin, if your chin is exposed anyone can knock you down, most of the time the punches that are not seen can knock you down and that happened with Stipe Miocic when he faced Cormier, an upper cut from the clinch and he was knocked out cold but he does have a great chin as he even absorbed all the punches thrown by Francis Ngannou. Khabib will be having too much pressure as his dad will be in his corner for the first time and all of his relatives will be present in the arena and we will see how he handles that pressure.

My prediction for the day are: Khabib Nurmagomedov, Curtis Blaydes, Ryan Bader, Adam Borics and i am going for a parlay with these fighters. Wink

Davi Ramos and Islam Makhachev is a great fight as both are ground fighter, Ramos is black belt and i expect Ramos to win.

Khabib looked ok at the official weigh ins.  A bit slow and dehydrated but ok.  Let's see how he looks at the ceremonial weigh ins (streaming live in an hour or so).  That should give us a hint on how he's recovering with his weight cut.

@YuginKadoya you’re right Poirier does have some decent experience, but I doubt he’ll pose a challenge to Khabib. I feel Khabib should easily win this match and I’m planning to place few bucks on him, as I feel this match’s result is easy to predict.

Yep! pretty much Poirier doesn't stand a chance against Khabib at all this can be an easy few bucks win for you if Poirier would not change his approach against Khabib then an easy win for him.

Really looking forward to seeing the ufc debut for LIANA JOJUA from Georgia

I never thought how beautiful Liana Jojua is Until I have seen this image of hers, well my prediction with her opponent I don't see Sarah Moras would pose a treat against Jojua even though both fighters are aggressive Jojua does know what she is doing, while Moras is a piece of cake against her, I really think that this can be an easy few bucks for us as well.

It was Silva vs Bisping fight if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, we can't compare Khabib's fighting style to Silva because they fight in a very different manner. Silva always let his guard off to make a right counter while Khabib always play safer. Don't expect that Khabib will make fun of Porier or even his upcoming opponents because he treat his battles seriously. If he get knocked out this time then that's because he was outwit and definitely not by overconfidence/carelessness.
It was at UFC 162 Anderson Silva Vs Chris Weidman. Its their 1st match July 2013. Anderson Silva acted like he was hit and ready to drop but Chris Weidman was able to reach tagged him. Chris Weidman was all over Anderson Silva when he was tagged and the referee stopped the fight. Everyone was shocked at that time. Anderson Silvas showboating cost him that match.

Yes, I don't Khabib will showboat in any of his match, its not in his character to do that. Every time we see him fight, he always looks serious and he means business before and after the match.

I agree aside from the part of having a string chin. Actually, that would be the only advantage of Porier in their fight. If he able to maintain his distance to Khabib all 5 rounds then he might win because striking is his forte and thus having a chance to knocked him out but on the other hand, once he got take down by Khabib then it is all over. For sure he will suffer from exhaustion like what happen to Conor Cheesy.
