I am not really sure why Nate chose to fight Anthony instead of a trilogy with Conor. He would have made more money with that. But this Diaz vs. Pettis isn't bad at all. I expect more trash talking and drama show as we get closer to the fight.
I don't know, maybe it is about the pride. They've been going back and forth in social media before so they decided it's about time to settle it on the octagon.

I got Miocic.  He prolly figured something out about Cormier, that's why he was practically demanding an immediate rematch.  And Diaz cos he's badass.  Lol.
Every time Nate fights, always expect entertainment. He is definitely a tough one and he's only been stopped once (against Thompson) in his long career.

I don't know about Miocic winning the fight. I hope he asked tips from Jon Jones.

UFC 241 is just around the corner
Aug. 18, 2019

MAIN CARD:
Yoel Romero vs Paulo Costa

Havent seen this guy for a long time. His last fight was year ago and now he faces 11-0 bjj black belt, that wins most of his fight with TKO Cheesy
This fight definitely will take a fight of the night (if not only Stipe takes belt from DC).
What do you mean? You think it could be an easy bet? I have to admit I don't know these guys.
Odds for Yoel Romero are at 1.5 while odds for Paulo Costa are at 2.5 according to oddschecker.
1.5 or 1.6 can be interesting if it's a rather sure bet.
https://www.oddschecker.com/ufc-mma/yoel-romero-v-paulo-costa/winner

I meant that after a year without fights Romero will face a very tough and dangerous opponent. I would not make a bet on this fight, because it is going to be very close.

Yup...  I wish it were that already.  I don't really care much about Shev vs Carmouche and I don't really know the rest of the card.

Well, Conor McGregor is the only fighter to ever make Khabib Nurmagomedov lose a round, this within itself is something worth studying. What happened within the fight for Khabib to lose said round? I would say that Conor outstriked a gassed out Khabib on that round. He was exhausted from all the ground and pound and trying to keep Conor down on round 1 which Conor defended pretty well. Conor also showed that he is extremely durable, he wasn't concussed after the ground and pounding, he has never been KO'd, guy is robust as hell.
The commentators were calling that Khabib was gassed out in the third round, was he actually gassed out or he wanted to show the entire world that he could stand with McGregor and it was a close round but you cannot tell that McGregor won that round as it was a really close round in his entire career, just look at the face of McGregor when he was taken to the ground in the first and second round he had no clue what to do like the rest of Khabib's opponents throughout his career. McGregor never got KO'd but he taps as soon as someone attempts a submission and so is the reason Khabib called him a tap machine Cheesy.

Are you sure your card is in the good order? The main event will be Daniel Cormier vs Stipe Miocic?  Huh
I was thinking it was Anthony Pettis vs Nate Diaz?  Undecided

Edit: My bad, you're right https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_241 "UFC 241: Cormier vs. Miocic 2" in Anaheim, California.

I don't know, I think Usman is too big for for him. Coby may have more skills on the ground but a single punch from the current champ can change everything..
You got it wrong here, Kamaru Usman has a better ground game than Colby Covington on papers as Usman is a black belt in BJJ and both were great amateur wrestlers during their college days, the reason Ben Askren was mocking Usman and calling him Marty from Nebraska because they knew him from his wrestling days as Marty and Ben being a elite level wrestler himself and if he remember Usman then he is not a small time fish in the wrestling world.
It will be a really competitive fight because of their elite wrestling skills and the stamina Covington showed in his last fight makes this fight more intriguing.

Covington and Usman Heated in Post Fight Show

That's a lot of talking from Coby. It's awkward seeing him talk like that, he's no McGregor. It must be the desperation to finally have that title shot he deserves after his performance against Lawler.
You must be new to Convington, he is like a cringe version of McGregor. It seems we are living in the era of cringe: Tony Ferguson, Henry Cejudo, Convington... those characters are all odd/goofy as hell, but they are really good at fighting which is what matters. They are becoming big on social media because cringeness is funny and allows for easy meme material. I think some may be doing it in purpose in order to get clicks because they know reddit/twitter and so on likes that.
Yeah, I don't watch interviews of those fighters you mentioned. Conor took trash talking opponents to another level and got monetized for doing so then we see the likes of Coby trying hard to follow.

As far as the actual fight goes, im positive Convington can take Usman to a decision, either UD or split. That's where im planning my bet on there. Usman lacks the ring IQ of Convington, they both have endless gas tanks tho, both have chins, I think a decision has an higher % than a KO in there.

Clay Guida  Shocked  Huh
How old is he? This guy is still fighting?
It's a little bit shameful for him to be relegated to the "Fight Night" exhibitions. Even if the lightweight careers are longer than the heavyweight ones, he should rather take his retirement I think.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clay_Guida

The Carpenter! Well, 37 is not such a bad age and if he really wants to fight that bad then he knows what he's doing and let's not forget about Manny Pacquiao that is already 40 years old and still making a great debut in his every fight, they can still give the audience a great fight and just like everyone said age doesn't really matter if one got a strong will then I guess then can truly win just using it,

But again analysis would truly consider age as a limitation to a persons strength and a lot may not agree that even a 60 years old fighter can sure win if he is pretty focused about it, Well no one can surely predict what can truly happen.
Well I didn't see he won his last fight against BJ Penn at UFC 237 (by unanimous decision) so he's not as out of order as I suspected...
But I'm finally right for this match, a guillotine choke in less than only one minute, it's a little bit ridiculous for a big fighter...  Roll Eyes
But he keeps on fighting however it seems that he lost most of his recent fights up to the 2011 fight against Nick Diaz, Well I am not comparing him mostly with Pacquiao that much I am just comparing their age and determination to continue fighting even with their age, but if you are considering that Guida needs to retire as soon as possible because of his poor performance I guess it is up to him to make that decision and not others to tell him about it, He is the one that knows his limitations and to when to quit, but its a sure good thing that we as a fan or a critic to suggest what we think and what we see on what he should do, and it is still his decision of what he would like to do on what is best for him.
Well, you're totally right. But in fact I think Dana White and the UFC organization, are choosing veteran fighters to fight against him, in order to save him. BJ Penn was 40, Jim Miller nearly 36...

Conor is most likely praying that Khabib gets beaten by Poirier somehow, which would put the Khabib-Conor rematch much closer. I don't think McGregor is here simply for a payday, im sure he legitimately believes he can beat Khabib.
If Conor thinks that he could beat Khabib Nurmagomedov i will say that he is delusional, he is drinking too much whiskey to have an illusion like that, with the fight they had, no one will give any chance for Conor even if they fought hundred times. You cannot wrestle a bear with an year of training  Cheesy, the only legitimate treat to Khabib Nurmagomedov is Tony Ferguson as he is good on the ground and on papers the only person who could counter the wrestling of Khabib is Tony and it is the fight to happen after the mauling of Dustin Poirier.

That was a very heated conversation I guess, I was laughing on the Power Ranger belt though but again why would they let this two quarrel over nothing they could simply fight that night but again there are good chances for them like what the host suggested in November they could let it out and fight But again there is no formal statement about it But again I guess if this fight would determine I guess I go with Kamaru Usman I guess he got what it takes to take down Covington, But again we will have to wait and see.

Colby really mixed it up and probably confused Robbie specially in the first round. So it's really a dominant performance he even outstrikes Robbie, which is very surprising. And the cardio, and the pace that he put up is a wow. Covington vs Kamaru Unman could be fight of the year.
Kamaru v Covington is the next fight to make in the Welterweight division and with the post fight encounter they had it has created some hype and i hope they will put that match up next, have anyone noticed the walk out song Colby Covington used in his fight against Robbie
Lawler, Wwe start Kurt Angle's theme song with a "you suck chant " , i am sure he is trolling everyone in selecting that walk out song and the Trump family was in the building for his support, not sure whether he could sell tickets if he is the main event.
