I haven't met that but I have met a worse version, those who criticize gamblers in public and then you find out they are degenerate gamblers themselves. Usually the one who speaks most vehemently against some activity is the one who has the most to hide about it. Or like the one who vehemently criticizes a woman who has left her husband to go with another guy and then you find out that he is a whoremonger (being married).

It reminds me of how vulnerable humans can be, and that anyone can change habits when a condition falls on them.

Such people may have either gotten a bad experience from past gambling activities and from what I can say, they were always gambling addicts who in some point were able to get out and then started judging other gamblers or saying I'll about it. Unfortunately life !might hit back hard on them and they suddenly remembers they have some kind of skills to unlock from the past so boom they get into gambling ones again. The trust is that one man's food can be another mans poison. So not every one would say positive things about gambling. Some due to religious beliefs they see gambling as a devils act. We just have to know that life turns mostly using the laws it was built with. So don't let karma get back at you. You aren't meant to judge any one.

The thing is that no one can actually predict the future and so no one actually knows what gonna happen to them so keeping an open thought about people's action would probably be the best thing to do well atleast you don't have to be the one who get hit back with the exact same situation that he was actually despising. Alot of person that I know have fell under this same thing and whenever I see that they are now eating their words it makes me laughs.

At first some judge gamblers often and later they become gambling addicts. I found it very serious to be curious and know what may have been their reason for the sudden change of mind. I know that there are difficult times to make money and maintain money, which is a world problem. I have had some thoughts on it and this is what I think may have been the reason.

1. In the beginning they may have been doing well financially and see no reason to gamble, maybe life later on throws them a financial curveball, or perhaps responsibility compels them to look for quick money through gambling. If not attempting gambling was an ethic for them they should have stuck to another alternative why did they choose this one?

2. On second thought. I feel it is the influence and conviction of people around them who are into gambling that made them go into gambling at the end of the day.

However, it is a sad story to see people who cast away gamblers thinking they are irresponsible, and then fund themselves on this same web doing the same thing. It reminds me of how vulnerable humans can be, and that anyone can change habits when a condition falls on them.

          -    From my observation of other gamblers who were not gamblers before, all of a sudden they suddenly became addicted to gambling. This may be because of curiosity or because they were enticed to gamble because they had a friend who often won large sums of money in gambling and tried to play and experienced winning that felt like easy money.

Whereas, whenever it's your first time to gamble and you win right away, he may think that if he always wins, he will even beat the managers who are paid by the companies. With this mindset, gamblers are often in a hurry until one day they fall into an addiction that they didn't realize.

To be fair not all gamblers gamble because they are in dire need of money. Some of them just enjoys gambling as an activity in itself, it doesn't mean they are struggling financially.

Addiction is difficult to explain. It might seem hypocritical but some people couldn't help it. They might have judges gamblers without exactly knowing what is it like to be in their position and when they finally got to experience it, they got addicted.

It's not just a gambling thing but something that happens very often in life which is why I'm not quick to judge people for their endeavors. There's an old saying that "It's condition that made Crayfish to be bent". So if anyone is gambling, they definitely have their reasons. People that are very quick to condemn others for some activities usually find themselves indulging in the same activities they once criticized in the future. That's something I have seen happen countless times.
I have also seen this sometimes in my life, some of them are like that, when you judge someone, one day they will do the same thing in the future.
My example of judging those who drink alcohol and smoke, I hated them and told them that they were stupid for consuming it, I probably laughed at the time because they were doing it in front of my eyes, and thought those people were stupid.

And six years on from that association, I was doing the same thing they were doing, drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes, yes maybe one of the reasons is because of the different environment and circumstances with different people that can influence us in doing anything.

Including gambling, I also did all that, I laughed at people who gambled, and then I still gamble today, no matter what makes it like, it feels like a strange thing, but indeed we should not insult or condemn something that you don't want to do, maybe it's better to keep quiet, because one day we can feel the same way.

I think you might be categorizing this incorrectly. People might talk bad about gamblers who are irresponsible,  but I don't really think they have forsaken every gambler unless it's some sort of religious thing. Even then, they wouldn't be gambling themselves.

In this life we shouldn't be quick to make conclusions on things that we do not have enough information about. Just because we see people gambling doesn't mean that they are irresponsible. There are several reasons which are personal to those gamblers, and this is why we have no right to judge any of that.

Tables can turn, it is possible for the Shepperd to now become the sheep. Just because we are financially buoyant do not have any need to double our money or get more through gambling doesn't certify that it may be like that forever. If someone is not gambling today, he may gamble tomorrow because of anything that may arises. Some people find themselves in situations that gambang is the only option and they are willing to risk it.

There is no doubt that. Humans tend to have a volatile nature which means that their thoughts and decisions keep changing over time and don't stay the same all the time. One might say bad things about a certain thing another person is doing but will be found doing the same tomorrow for some reason, this also can be because of arrogance sometimes, some people will be arrogant and rude and say bad things about people doing a thing, and then they become compelled to do the same thing only to realize how the other person was compelled to do it.

When it comes to gambling, people who doesn't seem to like gambling and are always saying bad things about it and telling others to stop gambling, such people are actually extremely vulnerable from the inside which means that they will become addicted to it as soon as they start doing it, so maybe a friend or a close one makes them play a few games and then they become addicted and start gambling more often than others.

We find such people in every walks of life. Their reasons for being against gamblers in the initial stage is always unknown but why they now joined the niche since they can't win them, has to do with financial problems. Most people always blame others at things they never thought would become their habit, because at that stage of life, they were actually feeling better than the other people in their lives. Along the line they'll begin to feel like trying it out secretly, when in need of money.

Such a change of thought is always pushed by some testimonials from gamblers who have won big in the game. It then sends the hypocrite to try out ignorantly on the game hoping that it'll work for him. And within him he'll conclude to be better than the gamblers he once blamed in the past. It's simply known to everyone that such people wouldn't go out to seek for gambling guide from those people he laughed at or blamed. Hence, addiction actually waits for such people, in no distance time.

It may not be totally because they want to earn quick money, but some people find their way into gambling because they may have tried some few games via their friends or colleagues up until they got hooked into it as well. In this life, sometimes what will happen to you is very ironic. Your principles in life is somehow tested once you traverse your journey in life.

It's not just a gambling thing but something that happens very often in life which is why I'm not quick to judge people for their endeavors. There's an old saying that "It's condition that made Crayfish to be bent". So if anyone is gambling, they definitely have their reasons. That's something I have seen happen countless times.

As we grow older, we can learn one important lesson that we have no right to judge any person for what he is doing with his life. We don't know what they are going thru or where they are coming from, hence, we need to be more understanding with the situation. Try putting someone else's shoes and more than likely, you will have a better grasp of what's going on with his life.

Then that's hopocrisy if done on the instance they are already gambling. But if the act of gambling was made after the criticism then that's curiousity I guess. And in this sense for sure we have made such thing on our younger years, perhaps with alcohol drinking; we used to hate it or some of us at least, but find ourselves doing it as we grow up. It'not a bad thing to get to experience something, it's also a part of learning. In gambling most of us were warned by the elders but as you get curious of things, there will be a bigger drive for you to actually do it. Again, not a bad thing as long as moderation will be present to both activity and exposure from this industry. Our perception of things are subject to change as we learn things and as we experience it. However, negative judgement on the doers is another thing because it imposes a character.

If not attempting gambling was an ethic for them they should have stuck to another alternative why did they choose this one?

How many times do we hear things like: "person X won 4 million dollars when he bought a $1 ticket"? Here in my country I have heard many stories of poor people who bought a lottery ticket and won millions and became rich as a result. Gambling companies have their advertisements promoting stories in which a person plays with little and wins a lot. And it's not a lie, there are people who are that lucky. That's why everyone knows that by playing if they're lucky they can win a lot of money, and that's what motivates most people to play. That's not wrong, as long as they always use the money they can afford to lose

2. On second thought. I feel it is the influence and conviction of people around them who are into gambling that made them go into gambling at the end of the day.

No, people have TV, people have newspapers, people have internet. These are places where you can see advertising from gambling companies talking about stories of people who gambled with little money and won a lot of money. This attracts more people to play

However, it is a sad story to see people who cast away gamblers thinking they are irresponsible, and then fund themselves on this same web doing the same thing. It reminds me of how vulnerable humans can be, and that anyone can change habits when a condition falls on them.

Unfortunately, some people are ashamed of themselves. They always want society to see them well, that's why they hide things they do, they prefer to say that they don't play because that way they will give a good image, in my case I always say that I play, I always say that I buy cryptocurrencies. I have no reason to hide this, because it's something I like to do

People are nowhere near as consistent as they believe themselves to be, so it is easy to judge others by their actions but when they find themselves in the same situation they take the same decision, this is like the son that hates that his father smokes or drinks, but once they grow up they do the same, and this is because it takes a great deal of conviction to avoid a specific path, and if it is not there then it is likely this is a path that person will take, so it does not surprise me at all that those that condemn gamblers the most, find themselves gambling out of control a few years later.

They might not even need to fall off their financial level before they can consider gambling as an option. I will take the second choice as one of the reasons why most gambling haters happen to turn back and start gambling and even do it more than those who they were criticising in the first place.

Some of the people who criticise something do it because they don't understand what they are criticising in the first place, so if they find a way to understand how gambling works, maybe through a close friend who might have made something out of it, they might finally give it in, and when they do, such a person can easily be carried away and get addicted to the game in the process.

Some times ago, I came across a saying that goes thus, "don't be quick to judge because when life eventually hits hard, you will do all those which you once called sin" with gambling there have been too many stories out there, one of which is that it has been detrimental to gamblers and this pit together have made many criticize gambling even before ever getting to gamble, only for them to see another person who has been lucky and has won a huge amount gambling and again their interest will be caught and they will get to try out gambling only to turn out gamblers even much more than they have ever taught they will be and that's why that statement I made earlier.

It is something strange but something  which proves that people who would  actually criticize gamblers are people who speak out  experience.

You'll be in a better position to understand how gamblers feel if your gambled before than when you are speaking from the outside as an individual who have no experience in gambling or what it means to become addicted to gambling.
I think criticism about gamblers will never runs out from those people who often sees gambling in a negative way. There's no denying that because even pro gamblers also criticize their same web of interest. And that is just normal for human beings.

However, my point here is never limit your views about the concept of gambling. Yes, it can be bad at some point but somehow it also brings social and financial benefits to those responsible gamblers. And you don't know if in the end, you will also develop same interest with them simply because you have seen how their lives changed through gambling. So you also want to try your luck on it.

When some of these people  for the first time have the first time experience it becomes very exciting to some of them that they no longer can control themselves and then forget all the high principles that they had against gambling before .

Or these people who condemn gambling are just following the beliefs of others and then later were beaten by their curiosity and got hooked and addicted to gambling.  People don't gamble just because of financial difficulties.  They gamble because of possibly some triggering factor like stressed, depressed, social pressure, greed and so on.

However, it is a sad story to see people who cast away gamblers thinking they are irresponsible, and then fund themselves on this same web doing the same thing. It reminds me of how vulnerable humans can be, and that anyone can change habits when a condition falls on them.

It was funny and sad to think about the irony of people detesting gambling and ending up being a gambling addict themselves.
