Because you have waves coin already, I will suggest if you invest to this three coin, ethereum , litecoin and ripple. You can make more profit fron these for sure . Because it is a potential coin that gives you high profit if the price increase very high. Like ethereum possible become 5k dollars in end of the year. While litecoin become 1000 dollars and ripple become 100 dollars. It's depends to you what coin do you think is better for your top 3..
ethereum and neo are the most promising project IMHO. The rating agentur weiss has rated some cryptocurrencies this week... Steem was rated very good, and if you have a look on his ranking you can see it can be still undervalued... but there are no guarantees for nothing

If you can afford to invest on high valued altcoins, invest on Ethereum, and Litecoin. They are having a very good attributes of a potential alt coins that can give you profit short or long term.
I agree with you about this, ethereum and litecoin are good promising cryptos. We can also add neo, waves and iota to this list of promising cryptos. They will be the big players of the whole market obviously.

In my opinion, the top 3 of altcoins that you should invest are :
1. ETH
2. NEO
3. NEM
those 3 coins are for long-term investments, i think if you invest on those coin, the price will increase soon.
I choose Bitcoin followed by Ethereum. Blockchain starts with Bitcoin.
