At this rate, Şenol Güneş will either resign or be fired. Trabzonspor suffers their third consecutive defeat in the Super League. They lost away to Göztepe, even though Göztepe was down to 10 men at the start of the match. Then they played Fenerbahçe at home and lost in the last minute. This was a bit unfortunate but again an acceptable result. But now they lost to Çaykur Rizespor in a game in which they were ahead. No fan of a big club can accept three defeats in a row. I wonder what Şenol Güneş will announce after this match. If he leaves his job, Trabzonspor can find a new manager and give him some time while there is an international break. But if he continues, I don't think he can lead Trabzonspor to success after this time. The season ended early for the people of Trabzon.
From what I could gather from the interview he gave after this defeat, he said he would speak to the club president, but he would be with the players when he spoke to the club president. In the interview (I could be wrong), it seemed to me that he was blaming the defeat on the players and not on himself. I say this because he said it was his fault for choosing those players. In my opinion, he is indirectly blaming the players. I doubt he will resign. It seems to me more that he wants the president to blame the players for the defeat, and since they are not fighting for the title, he will remain in office as if everything were going well.
