Galatasaray has stated that their Argentinian star Mauro Icardi has torn his ACL and he isn't going to be able to play until the end of the season. This news is a very big loss for Galatasaray. After this news Galatasaray board would do their best not to lose Osimhen in January.

https://x.com/fabrizioromano/status/1854823655177417128

This is a big blow to Galatasaray since Mauro Icardi is an important member of the squad. He has easily got along with Victor Osimhen and they seem to be forming a good partnership. There has been an increase in serious injuries especially the tearing of the anterior cruciate ligament. Okan Buruk will have to change strategy or give Michy Batshuayi-Atunga more playing time. Some sports analysts are saying that the reason for the increase in injuries is because of lack of rest due to too many games.
Icardi injury is clearly a big blow to Galatasaray at the moment, so far Icardi and Osimhen have had a pretty good chemistery in  the Galatasaray front line, so far Icardi has been the spearhead of Galatasaray and his ability to score goals so far cannot be doubted, But I think with the presence of Osimhen in the Galatasaray squad, maybe the lost of icardi can still be covered, but still Osimhen has lost support to be able to destroy the opponent's defence in every match their play later, for now Okan Buruk may need to adjust the team strategy and give more playing time to Batshuayi  like you say to fill the void left by Icardi to support osimhen in squad.

We had two superstars. One of them closed the season. If Osimhen transfers to another team in the winter transfer window, we will have to play with Batshuayi and Barış Alper Yılmaz. But if Osimhen transfers to another team, we might earn money. We can make another superstar transfer in the winter transfer window. But all this will mean a lot of changes. It will take time for the new signing to adapt to the team. It will undoubtedly be a very critical and very difficult period for Galatasaray. I think our biggest consolation is that Fenerbahce are performing worse this season than last season. Maybe even with just Batshuayi and Barış Alper Yılmaz we can be champions.

If you see the record of Fenerbahce in this league, it makes the heart happy because they have worked very hard in this league. But out of a few matches, they have lost 1 match and drawn 3. Still winning a lot of matches and keeping himself strong. I like their game because they have won a lot of matches. If you look at their difficult matches, of course they will be bad in it, but in terms of these matches, they are playing well because of which you cannot call them weak.

I didn't say Fenerbahçe is a weak team, but Fenerbahçe fans and Mourinho have been talking about referees for weeks. Looking at the UEFA Europa League results, can they talk about the referees too? They blamed their failures in the Turkish league on the referees. Will they also attribute their failures in UEFA Europa League matches to the referees? If they are looking for a scapegoat, they can also blame their failures in the UEFA Europa League on Turkish referees. This is the easy way out for them...

They might even blame me. It is not a problem for them and it is not a problem for me. I won't take it seriously, they will have found a new scapegoat and we will watch a scenario where everyone is happy...

Although Mourinho openly stated in his speech that he is currently fighting the system, and said that officials are biased towards his club. It seems that if it is associated with the temporary results of the UEFA Europa League, Mourinho will not be able to deny that the club he is currently coaching is not performing optimally.

And as a result of his statement, Mourinho was sentenced to a one-match ban and also a fairly large fine. Morinho will serve the sentence when Fenerbahce will face Sivasspor, a club that is ranked 6th in the standings. And in that match, Mourinho again could only watch his team play from the stands, without being able to give any direction. And finally without his presence on the sidelines, Fenerbahce had to lose to Ajak 3-1 in the Europa League.

In the last 5 meetings when facing Sivasspor, Fenerbahce has not lost to Sivasspor in those five matches. On the one hand, Fenerbahce is quite advantaged because they are playing at home, but on the other hand, without the presence of the coach, it will certainly be quite difficult for Fenerbahce to win this important match.

I do not see how he could do great here, the financials are tough here, and I can see that the team isn't built for his system neither. He could become awesome here if given enough time, and he will just sell players he doesn't want to use, and buy players that would fit his system better. But that would take a few years at least and I do not know if the team would be willing to wait that long.
Turkish teams have started spending a lot of money in recent years. For example, Galatasaray signed Osimhen, but Turkish clubs don't give enough time to their managers. Last season, Fenerbahçe had a fantastic season, collecting 99 points, but since they finished second, İsmail Kartal was fired. That's why, Mourinho needs to be successful this season.
This is surely going to be huge setback here in this Turkish Super League while their clubs are bringing big names with huge funds and things are looking good for competing other top UEFA Leagues we have big controversy which is surely going to hurt them badly if we have no positive outcome of this within few weeks.

As we need some quick action from Turkey FA which is main power behind this because they needed to work on this beyond political influence if they are looking for good development in this league and have good results in near future with current performance of the Fenerbahçe we are not expecting results like we have under Ismail Kartal because he was doing decent job and José Mourinho is having not good start with things are going not good even we are in early stages of this season they needed some good results which help them for having pressure on Galatasaray.

Why is mourinho always complaining when things don't go his way, this is a league that hasn't had that much controversy until his arrival. The referee are big problem in top Europe league, why isn't every manager complaining. He had some decision go against him and he begins to point fingers as he always does. I think mourinho is playing his mind games again and looking to make the referee to go easy on his players and they get favoured calls just to avoid him making them look corrupt the next time he holds a press conference. Fenerbahçe were doing better before mourinho came, they finished 2nd in the last two seasons but this season they're at 3rd.
If the referee had given Fenerbahce those penalties, he wouldn't have complained. We are already used to his unguided statements if he feels that the officials are not favouring his side. Although one of those penalties look unclear but officials sometimes make mistakes. There is no perfect system anywhere, Jose Mourinho should learn to work without attacking people because his statement about the Turkish League will bring bad publicity.

But the Turkish League also needs to improve in it's officiating, maybe foreign referees should be added to local ones. Foreign officials from top league will not be bais and will help to train or mentor local officials.

Since FIFA has prohibited local league matches on Mondays, all three Istanbul teams will play on the same day. The most important game of the day is Galatasaray's match against Samsunspor, who currently sit in second place in the league. Icardi, who was injured in the match against Tottenham, is not expected to play. Meanwhile, Fenerbahçe, who are five points behind Galatasaray, must win at home against Sivasspor.

I think I have seen so many controversial decisions by referees over years both in England and many other big leagues but what I rather found unusual is the statement of the Fernebache coach, Jose Mourinho, his words were uncalled for and very derogatory and not healthy for the sport especially in this era of technology where it is relatively impossible to make a wrong decision with the aid of the video assistant referee (VAR) because such statements are capable of making the Turkish league which is now growing in terms of popularity to seem as if the league has poor or biased referees which gives a poor precedents to the league.
Decisions like these and talk about referees are nothing new here at the Super League because we have too many complaints about this in last few years but sadly not work from Turkish soccer federation about this which is really matter of shame as we are heading for development in this league and many big names are coming which are clearly increasing competitiveness and quality with fan base, but we still not able to fix this is really not helpful for the soccer in this country.

Federation needs to work on all aspects and surely have some strict policy about this if they are interested into develop of soccer in this country with things like these I am not sure whether we will have any positive change because José Mourinho is already complaining few times and now media is also highlighting all negative points of this poor system.
I believe the Turkish football federation understands the consequences of all of these referee saga and the impact it will have on the credibility of the Turkish league and at such needs to be proactive in dealing with such issues cautiously to avoid derogatory statements from those affected by such menace, and I am also of the opinion that the world football Governing body(FIFA) should also look into such matters too and not act as if they are ignorant of these issues so as not to allow a repeat of these kind of incidents.

Tough game and yes referee was the talk of the day but that seems like the common thing for the time, everyone at every team keeps talking about the referee all the time, and this is quite common for turkish league as well. Don't get me wrong, we talk about the refs a lot at premier league too, but usually not as much as this, we talk about the performance a bit more, like how players and the coach was, but this feels like not the way turkish football goes, usually here people talk about the referee and how they did more than how their own players did. In the end, it was a good three points for fenerbahce and league continues. I hope Galatasaray and Fenerbahce wins all their remainder of games for me lol.

Fenerbahçe collected 99 points in the league a season ago with a lower profile squad. Sevilla's successful striker En Nesri and Fiorentina's successful midfielder Amrabat were transferred to Fenerbahçe at the beginning of the season, but Fenerbahçe is playing worse football this season. Mourinho is in a very difficult comparison. He has to turn the projection in another direction and referees are a good tool for him...

Referees problems controversies nothing new in UEFA because it's biggest part of their all system, and we can't blame only Turkish Super League for this but due to José Mourinho it's having more intention in media because under his leadership we have no development in Fenerbahçe so he is trying to bring things in limelight which are understandable for all soccer fans those well aware about him and his tactics while he is having not good results on field.

The reason referees are talked about so much in Turkey is that fans don’t trust them. There are also games in the Premier League where the refereeing is poor. For example, I still remember last year when Liverpool's goal was wrongly canceled for offside.Mourinho is a manager who enjoys criticizing referees, so he’ll keep talking about them while he's in Turkey.
Basically there are many incidents where the referee does work to lead the match unfairly and is really not transparent, this is what has always been problem in Turkish football that has existed for long time until now and has not been able to be completely resolved by the Turkiye Futbol Federasyonu (TFF).
Do you remember the incident of beating the referee, this is special reflection of Turkish football and criticism of the referee performance and it seems you are right that as long as Mourinho is here he will be the most active coach to criticize the referee performance if he feels he is referee leading the match unsatisfactorily.

It's not really shocking that Mourinho is complaining, when things don't go well for him, he is not the one to come out and say "this was my bad", he is just finding problems in other places and that is his trick. He was a great coach once upon a time, he won so many titles, he has so many UCL titles let alone just league ones, he is a decorated coach there is no doubt about that. But for the past 5+ years, he hasn't done anything but just win conference league with Roma, and that is not a huge achievement, not a bad one neither, it's a good one, just not a huge one.

I do not see how he could do great here, the financials are tough here, and I can see that the team isn't built for his system neither. He could become awesome here if given enough time, and he will just sell players he doesn't want to use, and buy players that would fit his system better. The reason referees are talked about so much in Turkey is that fans don’t trust them.
This issue of referees is this why Jose Mourihno was saying he will be posting these football clips for the world to judge for themselves as the poor officiating is getting out of hand..and I think this was after the Fenerbahçe vs Trabzonspor game...

If the talk by everyone is centered around the refs, the football governing body should sober up and clean this mess..it just has to start from somewhere.
What happened in the Fenerbache vs Trabzonspor match was indeed quite controversial, especially when it was seen if Mourinho showed great disappointment with the referee leadership after two penalties earned by Trabzonspor in the match, although Fenerbache managed to win 3 points in the match but Mourinho's disappointment with the referee leadership was clearly very visible, Mourinho has always been a controversial coach but what the special one said after the match was over of course I totally agree, because if we pay attention so far, the integrity of the Superlig competition is very damaged and the unfairness of the referee in leading the match often spoils the competition and the fierce matches played, so the Turkish football authorities should immediately fix the problems that exist in the league today.
