Cody Gakpo show a good performance for Netherlands in the world cup, but we don't know about his performance in Liverpool. What if Gakpo is similar like Nunez? Nunez was a sharp striker in Benfica, but he doesn't a same performance when he joined Liverpool.

I don't think the french league is such a weak league because I have heard several person sat the same. The french league is just spectacular in its own way. We already see a rivalry coming up between Haaland and Mbappe who are the current best attackers in the world now and as time goes by it will grow into something bigger and I'm sure it will push them to do better just as it worked with Ronaldo and Messi. They have an offensive line made up of the best players from the Argentina, France and Brazil national teams. This makes them stand out. Real Madrid has been very consistent since last season's champions league. They signed a few quality players in the past transfer window but I am not sure the club is as strong as it was last season. The clubs seem to have over-relied on Karim Benzema his absence is greatly felt. Borja Mayoral and Juanmi Latasa are very good strikers that could fill the gap but currently, they are not capable of replacing the world's best player. The lack of a natural and effective goalscorer might be their biggest undoing. I don't Real Madrid making it to the semifinals of the UCL.
I am predicting that an English club or Napoli might be the winner of this competition. Most of the English teams that qualified except Chelsea are in good shape. I am also considering Napoli because of their performance before the world cup which was one of the best in the club's history. They are still unbeaten in the Italian Serie A.

Newcastle are doing well this season but I'm not sure if the can win the Champions League or even the Premier league because their other strong teams that are more solid I'm performance than newcastle. Their is no doubt about Newcastle improvement, it may not be easy to get the Champions league. Newcastle's revival has posed a threat to regular clubs in the Champions League, Newcastle's rise has posed a threat to regular Champions League clubs, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool are still outside the Champions League zone in the Premier League standings. We may not see one or all three of these teams in the Champions League next season if Arsenal, Manchester City, Newcastle and Tottenham manage to maintain their positions in the top four in the table.
I don't think that any team that qualifies for the Round of 16 should be underestimated. Especially a team like Tottenham. They are sitting at the fourth place of the Premiership and I'm sure that Milan won't have an easy game against them.
Actually, in the knockout phase this time, Tottenham has quite an advantage because they will face Milan. Even though we know that Milan is a subscriber to the Champions League, their condition is not very good now.There are many internal problems that they haven't solved until now so it's a little complicated for them. I am not entirely sure that core Barcelona has would be enough. Like players such as pedri, gavi, dembele, de jong, ansu fati, etc etc these are good players but they will never be at the levels of the times when xavi, iniesta and messi played which means that they are not going to get the same championships and titles neither.
I believe it will be difficult, and perhaps impossible for Dembele, Pedri and Gavi to match the same achievements as Messi, Xavi and Iniestas, and I wouldn't compare either. But I think when Barcelona has more faith in its academy players than a lot of non-academiy players then success can be expected. At the moment Barcelona is on another level, but of course the philosophy of the game is almost the same. Xavi gives a different touch because basically he is developing something great from his young players like Pedri and Gavi in midfield. They didn't have much experience yet, but if both of them held on for the long term then surely the level would be better.Currently, Ansu Fati, who was expected to be able to contribute a lot, apparently failed to meet expectations. He's still young and maybe Xavi doesn't want to push him while giving him a chance to develop. This can be done through hard training because Ansu Fati is still unable to compete with Ferran and the others.

Real madrid owes the CL title last season to Benzema. She has already helped her to victory from a beaten position a few times. But we shouldn't sell the other Real Madrid players short because of that, they have a great team. Without Modric, the world would also look very different for Real Madrid. Since ramos left the back to PSG, it also seems to be a bit more vulnerable and they do get the necessary goals here and there. But that depends on the type of game they play.
