It's quite interesting that although Mbappe is in first place in the goalscoring race in all three competitions - World Cup, Champions League, and Ligue 1, his performance in the World Cup and Champions League is better than in League 1. This once again makes me think about the importance of motivation and that Mbappe needs to move up to a more serious league to improve his already phenomenal performance and make history.
I don't know how you can say Mbappe isn't very motivated in Ligue 1, I think he's done his best, but maybe he doesn't want to be overshadowed by another star player like Messi. All along I think Mbappe thinks Messi is his rival in every way, and if this assumption is correct then Mbappe is immature. I don't know, but he is a selfish player.
I agree to say Mbappe is a selfish player, but he is lucky enough because his selfishness goes hand in hand with his very good performances in the team as well as in the national team. If not then there will be a lot of negative narratives about him now. But there was still time for him to suppress his selfish attitude going forward because it would be detrimental to himself if he didn't get rid of the selfish attitude he had displayed so far. I'm sure if he is more mature then he will be more able to bring out all the abilities he has.
I don't think u should call mbappe a selfish player in a match He repentantly delivered his country. France's hope was deadened when Messi and Di Maria registered two goals in the first half of the match. I could even recall the difficulty in the match that led to seven substitutions, which has never happened in Football history.  In case you forget, Marcus Thuram and Randal Kolo Muani for Olivier Giroud and Ousmane Dembele took place in the 41st minute; Kingsley Coman and Eduardo Camavinga for Antoine Griezmann and Theo Hernández in the 71st; Youssouf Fofana came on for Adrien Rabiot in the 96th; Ibrahima Konate for Raphael Varane in the 113th and finally, as the seventh substitution, Axel Disasi for Jules Kounde Kunde 121st minute, but young mbappe was there from the onset. If I were you, I'll call Him a hero.

After what happened in Real Madrid's first bid for Mbappe, I doubt they'll consider making him another offer. Even Modric was displeased with his abrupt change of mind. Some speculated that he stayed because of the attractive offer they made him. However, fulfilling your football dreams is sometimes more important than riches. PSG are not looking to sell him right now, and he is not willing to leave the club either, so a transfer for Mbappe is practically impossible right now.
In my opinion, Real Madrid won't give up to try signing Mbappe. He is the most potential striker, especially after Mbappe performed brilliantly in the world cup tournament. Sure, PSG won't let Mbappe to leave before the season ends. Real Madrid only has a chance to make an offer after Mbappe finishes this season with PSG. As far as I know, Mbappe still has a dream to be a part of Real Madrid squad. It is his dream since he was a kid, he won't forget about it.
Madrid was a team that was never give up until the player itself who will be declaring to reject madrid's offer and madrid will not give second offer but that might be different with mbappe caused by mbappe was a sensational player with very good skills.
He must be included in the list of exception for madrid. Mbappe might have prepared so much mney for him. mbappe itself already declared so many times if the team (PSG) has betrayed him and that's why he didn't wanna try to stay in PSG even longer.
He was looking for a new club and madrid could become the best club for him. I hope that mdrid can reach his dream to be the main part from madrid.

I think Real Madrid will not give up on trying to sign Mbappe as a replacement for Benzema regardless of his refusal to accept the deal when an offer was made to him due to an increase in his wages at PSG and the entitlement that was given to him as one of the decision maker in the team but funny enough the PSG team is yet to achieve their aim of keeping Mbappe to the team so releasing him for Madrid will be difficult for them unless the French man has decided to part ways with the team to fulfill his dreams but unfortunately Mbappe has not said any word about his future so until then, PSG remains his team but Madrid will surely secure his signature some day.

Mbappe's hat-trick in the FIFA World Cup final game is truly remarkable. Mbappe is a smart and efficient striker. If he keeps his performance like this, he will become a great player in the future.

No disrespect to Mbappe but he was silent in that game till France got that penalty. The whole French team was outplayed. Mbappe was brilliant to convert 2 penalties (before the shoot out) and that was it. Many other players like Thuram were exceptional for France. All he did was score a beautiful goal and 2 penalties.
But that won't matter now because when people talk history they will say Mbappe scored a hat trick in a world cup final.
Mbappe was the hope, strength of France during the World cup. He really performed very well, Mbappe made it known him alone can achieve winning the the world cup if not that is team mates were not able to perform during the penalties game. The truth is that Mbappe is good and he will make a great name in the future , more wins await him in the future.

What if PSG wins UCL this year and Messi achieves a perfect season ? that could be one for history books. Regarding Mbappe , I could see him leaving in the summer but it all depends on this last UCL season and also how his relationship with Messi will evolve after WC final as I'm sure some scores still must be settle between them even if for now everything looks friendly Cheesy. I'm also curious how first games of PSG will be as I'm not expecting a lot of team play Grin Grin

Yes, at such a young age, he is quite great, especially in the finals. He was able to score a hat trick and added 1 goal during a penalty kick. But sadly, even though he had a hat trick, his team still didn't win because football is not just one person but about the team. And during the penalty kicks, the French team did not look so ready, especially the players who were brought on at the end of the match. When you see the look of disappointment at Mbappe at that time, it makes perfect sense. He actually has become one of the best players right now, his career is remarkable.

Real Madrid is pretty dissapointed and with the new extension for psg i dont think they will sign him anytime soon . Psg will probobly ask for a really high fee like before. So i think Mbappe and Real Madrid might wait until his contract is over in psg and sign him for free

Yeah he was silent in the game but that was because of the formation and poor selection and tactics of the coach. The substitution in the 41st minute changed the game as Mbappe was moved to take on the Number 9 role which he handled perfectly and went on to score a hat-trick so ut wasn't his fault that he was in a position that he couldn't do anything, he just needed the right players with him to support him which Giroud and Dembele failed to do in the first half of the game.

After the World Cup, Mbappe's market value has increased and I'm sure PSG won't let him go anytime soon. There is a possibility that Mbappe will move and try to consider a suitable offer when he only has one year of his contract at PSG, or rather the next 2 seasons, and now he can still stay at PSG for several seasons. I hope one day he will become a Real Madrid player.

For me the outcome of this match between Bayern and PSG is completely open, a real 50/50 game. I think that the team that is able to score the first goal will have a huge advantage obviously. Just looking at the squad one could get the impression that PSG is the favorite because they obviously have Messi, Neymar and Mbappe in their team and two of those were the dominating players in this years world cup. It is also true though that those 3 attackers do almost nothing to support the defense of their team and that is a disadvantage that is not to be underestimated and Bayern also has a great team with great individual players.
The most important thing in this case is that as long as they don't underestimate their opponents, they can perform optimally, reflecting on last season PSG were too confident, especially after winning the first leg and second leg at the start before finally being comeback in the last 10 minutes by Madrid. Likewise Bayern, who had to lose painfully to Villarreal, even though statistically they won far enough away. They have to stay focused in the game without underestimating the opponent so I think it will be very good for them.

If I can remember correctly the rules for the transfer market have been changed in these years.

If a player played the staging phase with team A now if will be sold in the winter window, he can play for team B in the final group stage of the competition.

Years ago was banned.

I was having a similar argument with a friend but somehow different. He was saying that since Ronaldo has played Europa with Manchester United, that he cannot play champions league with another club in this same season. I told him that it's not connected that Ronaldo can play with another club in the Champions League and even in the same Europa League

I believe Frankfurt are getting close to the end of their journey in the Champions League. Because Napoli are just a way stronger team than them. I know that they showed good performances against Sporting, Marseille and Tottenham in the group stage. But I don't think any of these teams seem stronger than Napoli for now. Napoli are a team that destroyed Liverpool in a group match as you remember. Apart from that, they have had a wonderful run not only here but also in the Serie A.

It only depends on how quick they will get their usual form back after the end of this break. If they keep the same level then Frankfurt will say goodbye to the tournament most probably.

There is no doubt that Frankfurt will be far behind when compared to Napoli. Napoli are very strong this season. But Napoli are likely to lose form after a long break. They lost 4-1 against Lille in their last friendly match. If Napoli's performance deteriorates, it will be challenging for them to win against Frankfurt.

I don't think the Frankfurt team is strong. However, it is very difficult to predict their performance. They often surprise everyone by performing well against big teams. They will try their best to win against Napoli. If there is any weakness in Napoli's performance, Frankfurt will make good use of that opportunity.
But if you look at their performance last season, I don't think Napoli should still feel that this will be easy.
Frankfurt was a club beyond expectations last season and even Barcelona became their victim before they won the Europa League, so even though Napoli are the favorites to win now, they still can't make it look like it's easy because sometimes underestimating opponents in the end always ends in a loss.

No one can buy Mbappe away from PSG. He will stay there for a while. He has a very good contract, and besides that, of course, he also has sporting ambitions to win the CL with PSG, preferably several times. He has also been in Paris all his life, it also seems difficult to me to suddenly make the switch to another city where you then have to completely adapt to the new city and environment. PSG is not the bookies' favorite to win the CL, but that has everything to do with the draw, which is considerably worse than the draw of competitor Manchester City.

So, various reasons came in this season transfer market where it seems that Real Madrid still haven't given up after their first offer was rejected by Mbappe. I'm sure if a second offer comes in this season Mbappe will immediately turn it down again  Grin
Of course that would be very annoying, but I don't think Real Madrid would be willing to spend €180 million on a player even if Mbappe was deemed fit to deliver something bigger than Benzema.

So far it's been too ridiculous for Real Madrid to expect him for free before Mbappe extends his contract with PSG.
Real Madrid won't sign him for free, Mbappe has a contract with PSG until Jun 30, 2025. But I think it is not a problem for Real Madrid, they should have enough money to sign Mbappe. The problem is PSG prevents him, PSG wants Mbappe to stay as long as possible. Mbappe has a crucial role in PSG attacking line, they won't miss him very soon.
I think Real Madrid expressed an interest in Mbappe last season, but PSG and Mbappe reached an agreement on a new contract in which both agreed to extend it. Anyway, at this time Real Madrid is also rumored to be trying to tempt Mbappe again and maybe PSG will be presented with a big offer by Real Madrid. Reportedly Ronaldo, who is 37 years old, dares to be offered a contract of 200 million per year by a Saudi Arabian club, so what are the lack of Mbappe who is still very young?

What is certain is that PSG will never let Mbappe go for free as expected by Real Madrid before Mbappe extended his contract. If Real Madrid really want to get the player they should be prepared to spend a lot of money on him, but certainly worth it.
it will be difficult for Real Madrid to persuade mbappe to move away from psg. Mbappe is very comfortable at PSG and what they lack is yet to win the Champions League. You know for yourself how the attitude of the owners of PSG is so generous to lure their players to remain loyal to PSG, various facilities are provided and we don't know what bonuses are given to the players if the players are able to make PSG a UCL champion. So, various reasons came in this season transfer market where it seems that Real Madrid still haven't given up after their first offer was rejected by Mbappe. Winning the Ballon d'Or won't be easy for Mbappe. Haaland is performing better than Mbappe this season. He is consistently playing well and scoring goals. Mbappe is likely to win the Ballon d'Or if PSG can win the Champions League title. If PSG can't win the Champions League this season, they won't for the next few seasons.
Definitely the race for the Ballon D'or will be a tight and difficult one for Mbappe, If France had won the world cup it would have given him a leap ahead of Erling Haaland and an advantage too. Haaland's stat this season is so good though Mbappe also have a good stat this season but it only makes it difficult to tell who is best. Probably if PSG can win the champions league it will give Mbappe a boost over Haaland.

If Mbappe and Messi play against Bayern like they did at the World Cup, Bayern will have little chance. It's hard to see what Bayern can win with? Lewandowski has left the club, the defense is not as reliable, and in general Bayern does not seem as well-oiled as it was a couple of years ago when they won the trophy.
Now PSG seems to be the main favorite in the tournament, which can only stop Liverpool or Real Madrid.
In general, I think this year the Champions League trophy will finally be brought to Paris.

Champions league isn't won by how star studded squad you have it is about the cohesion of the team. Do not underestimate this Bayern Munich team their current defence is just having a little problem due to injuries if they get Lucas Hernandez back then might pair with Upamecano as center backs. Davis and Mazourai/Pavard will be the fullbacks. The attack is taking shape with the inclusion of Choup Moting as the top nine. With all this players I think Mbappe, Neymar and Messi will find it hard to break them down
