Arsenal made a big progress in the previous season. Despite being a team full of young players they competed really hard for the Premier League title. Arteta has his system working really well now. He will need to transfer the same thing to the Champions League as well. I know this is a different environment so they will need to play extra careful.
The Arsenal team has undergone some transformation under Mikel Arteta; the team fought so well in last season's Premier League even though a lack of proper experience from the players and squad depth caused them to lose the title to Manchester City.

The zeal in Arsenal players is so strong that they were able to bring Arsenal back to the Champions League after like six years of absence under their former manager Arsene Wenger. I think this coming season's Champions League will be tough because Arsenal is willing to prove to the world that they are now a great team again.

Quote
Experience is playing a really big role in the Champions League. But this is still not an obstacle for them to reach a better stage by getting past the groups. It is all up to keeping their concentration level high. They have really talented players who can be a big help for having a successful run.
Arsenal always have good stats in the Champions League, even though they haven't won it once. They always scale through the group stage and get eliminated along the way in either the round of 16 or the quarterfinals, but I am sure this season will be a different one because there is hope in Arsenal fans minds.

The grouping of the teams will determine the prediction of the favorites team to win the title; therefore, let's wait and see what the draws come up with.

I think Arsenal's steps in the champions league will be largely determined by the draw they will receive, whether they will be among the favorites or not if not and being in a group with a strong team will be difficult for Arsenal, although it does not rule out their success to pass group phase and compete in the knockout stage.
If Arsenal are able to get through the group phase well then in the knockout stages the competition will be even tougher, moreover, they will also try to be able to achieve what they almost got last season, namely the Premier League title.
The tight schedule of matches requires good player rotation, otherwise, they will fail in the most tight competition, namely the Champions League.
We'll see what can be Arteta done with the squad in this new season, and how far they will go in the champions league, because of course with the huge investment that has been made to get this club back to its best performance they will expect something commensurate with being able to get achievements and that not only locally but also in European competitions.

I so much believe in arsenal and the new players they brought to strengthen the squad more knowing that their will be good improvement but looking how the Champions league game will be it will be difficult for arsenal to win champions league.  Their are strong teams that will be  participating in Premier league and other leagues. I believe arsenal will have a good game in champions league but can't win the league. Manchester City are still the favorite team to win champions league next season.
Arsenal's first season was with full of surprises and unpredictable results, but now things are much better as their coach Arteta able to fix their problems which create problems for them in last season, and now they are going to have better result in this season even now their presence in Champions League is surely created some pressure but still they will try to have better results in Premier League because this is their main focus they already have few quality players which are going to have good impact on performance of team.

In last season no one was expecting them to have second spot in league table and now same situation but most chances they will be able to give surprises because again in this season few teams from Premier League are going to have problems which they fail to fix and things are going from bad to worse, but Arsenal is surely team to watch again in this season.
Arsenal could be a big name in the 2023-24 season. Everyone remembers the 2022 and 2023 seasons of the Premier League where Arsenal finished second in the table. In the 2022 and 2023 season, Arsenal were not supposed to finish their season at number two in the points table, mainly due to injuries to most of the regular XI towards the end which affected Arsenal's performance on the pitch, which led to them not being able to maintain their consistency towards the end and ultimately their Premier League. They had to finish the season at number two in the table after coming very close to winning the title. Arsenal's minimum target for the Champions League next season should be to reach the semi-finals. Because as a team, Arsenal deserve to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Arteta interest should be to improve more in the league than the champions league,  they have to play the champions league regular to be able to compete here. They just start playing the champions league after a long while, they need more experience to be consider a contender, as for now there are just here to participate, I don't expect anything from them.

Arteta will win the premier league,if he put more effort then last season, they will get it right this time.

Today in UEFA Champions League Copenhagen vs Breiðablik two team match, Copenhagen won the match by scoring 6 goals. I could not enjoy the whole game in this match. But I regret not being able to enjoy the match. Breiðablik performed very well in the first half of this match but the end of the game.  Breiðablik scored 3 goals in this match. J. Svanþórsson scored the first goal in the first 9 minutes of the game. I think Breiðablik's players lost today's match due to bad performance. Breiðablik's goalkeeper was very weak first.  Avasta had a good performance. However, I think it would have been a lot of fun to enjoy this match.

I liked Maccabi Haifa vs Sheriff the most of yesterday's matches... I was surprised that the match ended in extra time... It seemed to me that Sheriff would lose, but they did not give up without a fight... And I am also surprised that Belgian Genk lost, because Servette got a red card in the first minutes of the match... Genk had a great opportunity...

Hopefully this can be more for them especially by making them one of the most extravagant clubs in the EPL certainly gives more expectations for Arsenal.
But of course the Champions League is not as simple as it seems especially we know Arsenal's problem in full schedule conditions makes Arsenal's performance a little different and a drastic decline in performance always occurs.
Now is an opportunity for Arsenal because they have not been in the Champions League competition for a long time and this can be a new stepping stone for them to be better again to undergo the season both in domestic competitions and in the Champions League competition.

Galatasaray will win the match, I have no doubt about it. However, I can't quite predict how it will end. I predict they will score at least 2 goals. Zalgiris will do his best. If Galatasaray is eliminated, it will be a big shock. Zalgiris will probably look for a goal by defending and counterattacking to maintain the tie in the first match.
Galatasaray won with 1 goal vs Zalgiris and since the result of the 1st leg was 2-2 then Galatasaray made it to the third qualifying round where they will face Olimpija.
It will be a shame if galatasaray is gonna lose at home. Even though galatasaray must have won with the small score, but this is far better compared with the first leg when zalgiris had forced galatasaray to draw. I expect the next opponent will be far easier compared with zalgiris.
Olimpija will come as an opponent for galatasaray in the third round of UCL qualification. Zalgitis really gave a tough game against galatasaray. We did know how excellent a reputation owned by galatasaray is but it's almost losing against zalgiris.
I didn't expect if zalgiris will be that strong now. Galatasaray is one step closer to be qualified for UCL. My guess is if galatasaray may be able to beat olimpija easily compared with zalgiris.
galatasaray needs to rotate its players. I saw that if this team doesn't have good attacking lines at this moment.

In the Champions League, Arsenal would play as a normal team, winning only a few games before being eliminated. The premier league matches, however, are where their focus and strength would be on to demonstrate that they can win the premier league this coming season after losing to Manchester City last season.

Arsenal is still assembling the team into a formidable one, as we all know, and has not yet attained the status necessary to win the Champions League. They will eventually accomplish that, but it will take them a long year to get the chance to lift the champions league trophy. For this season and the upper one, they are going to place more of an emphasis on the premier league than the champions league.

I strongly agree with you Arteta overuses most of his players that is the problem even during the Premier League, coming down to the champions league, am sure Arsenal will definitely be eliminated during the league, their attention will all be on the Premier League but since manchester city did it by winning three trophies they can also do it, I love the way arsenal play but dy need to put more strategy in there game, start well and earn point, it helps.

and talking of Arsenal not having the ball to emerge as a winner in does league hmmm... the confidence, everyone knows that Arsenal has plenty of loopholes but, sometimes it's always tricky to predict, the situation might turn around for them since the season is about to start let us wait and see what happens.

Arsenal is a competitive club, but I don't see them winning any significant title next season, they will only compete but will relent along the line. Mikel Arteta did an excellent job bringing in quality players this summer, and he is eager to face new challenges, perhapes things are not done that way, waking up and thinking of winning the UEFACL, they need to be consistent in their spectacular performance. Arsenal is developing, and this is not their time to win the UEFA Champions League; they will only compete with elite teams, and it will not surprise me if they are eliminated. We already know which clubs will advance to the knockout stage and finals, and the Gunners are not one of them.

That is one thing people don't understand about Arsenal, they have the energy to execute but along the line, they get stuck before the season starts I think Arteta should have learned a lot from the past season if it's about doing a great job arteta actually tried but we don't want to have half work because even during the premier league at some point manchester city, was behind and was scared of the arsenal but when arsenals heat became cold they took advantage of the whole situation and emerge as winners in the premier league all we can do is wait for a better arsenal. very soon Arsenal will be a great club again am sure of that as well.

I don't think, Arsenal will experience any challenges they experienced last season that made them not to lift any title through out the season because of the poor performance. I believe Arsenal coach will do everything possible in this summer to work on some of their players to ensure they maintain a good stand in this season to bring progress to the team. If Arsenal strikers can demonstrate what they displayed to defeated their opponent 5-3 in their pre-season match few days ago, show that they will not allow any team to disgrace them in the UEFA champions league competition because they have what it takes to embrace the title in this season.

Maccabi Haifa has just made epic comeback yesterday that if they want to qualified Maccabi Haifa have to win from Sheriff because in the first leg they were lost with slim score and playing as a host Maccabi Haifa take an initiative to playing attacking since the beginning of first half but Sheriff was leading the game from penalty kick Amine Talal but Maccabi Haifa didn't panic that they were focusing to broke the defense of Sheriff and the result is they can able to equalized the scores

In the second half Mahmoud Jaber was being an super subs because he can scored 5 minutes before the match ended and after normal time the scores hasn't change which make the match must go into extra time and the situation was became so difficult for Sheriff after their players got red card and it can be utilized properly by Maccabi Haifa to playing more aggresive and they can able to scores more goals from Shuranov and David so after this result Maccabi Haifa advances to the next round and they will faced Slovan Bratislava next Wednesday

Many people like you think Real Madrid is stronger than Barcelona and they can have more chance for the champions league because of the more money they invested there and the more and better player they bought this season like Jude Bellingham and they are even close to buying Mbappe while Barcelona is not in the good financial situation but I think this can price anything because, in the recent friendly match, Barcelona won the game and beat Real Madrid.

but its just a pre-season game and cant be seen only from yesterday match we have to see it realistically from the original competition game later once the summer starts. I understand that whoever supports Madrid or Barcelona they exaggerate more than friendly matches but for sure Real Madrid and Barcelona will have their own chances in La Liga and Champions League respectively. I mean if maybe Madrid will qualify for the UCL semifinals maybe Real Madrid will focus even more on that competition and choose to be runners up again in La Liga and for Barcelona they will definitely prioritize the La Liga title because they did not qualify for the UCL semifinals and vice versa.
so whoever will qualify for the UCL I think they have solid and quality players.

Arsenal is a very strong team in either the Champions League or the Premier League, but even if it is a strong team, it may not be effective in winning the Champions League title, but Arsenal will be a cause of concern for the big teams. Arsenal's main focus should be on the Premier League as the team is unlikely to do well in the Champions League. A good plan for the Champions League should be moved forward with the Premier League as the main focus. Last season Arsenal's injury was the main problem, this season Arsenal manager may want to finish the season with an injury-free team. If Arsenal had fully prepared for the Champions League this season, we would have seen some significant changes in the team, but we didn't see anything from Arsenal, and their main target this season is the Premier League.

The main reason is that after first few weeks, like maximum of 10 but probably less, teams will realize that Haaland is not their only scorer, and City is using him as bait, you fear him scoring, so others score easier. Then teams will end up defending normally, and that will make Haaland score a lot easier as well. That's how I think the season will go, first 2 months not that great, after that it is all goals galore for him until the end.

I see and understand your logic there. But I think it would work more in the premier league. Haaland might just continue to score more goals for Manchester City. Defenders would be automatically drawn to seriously mark him as he’s an obvious threat and capable of scoring goals. Well, so are almost if not all the players in the first squad of Manchester City.

Everyone is a threat and capable of scoring goals but perhaps some could be considered more of a threat than others. Manchester City is that good. They don’t actually need to rely on Haaland to score goals.
A coach of any club playing a match with Manchester City should know that while Haaland is the striker, center back players also scores goals as well.

Talking about Haaland in Manchester City, I think unlike we usually talk about this player in this thread but Haaland is performing well in the premier league while he couldn't perform well enough in the champions league, and comparing the English League he was weaker in the Champions league. Maybe that's because he is playing against stronger defenders in the Champions League.

I also noticed that condition with Barcelona in the Champions League last season, but one of the other factors that made them fail was that Barcelona joined the group of hell last season. Regarding the Champions League next season, of course Barcelona has a higher chance of qualifying for the round of 16 (at least), but it still depends on who will be their opponent in the group stage. If Barcelona are going to be in the group of hell again, I think it's difficult to see them qualify for the higher stages.

About Barcelona, I know they have changed. Xavi is responsible for improving the quality of Barcelona in the last 2 seasons, but I agree that Xavi has not been able to convince many of his fans about the Champions League at the moment. Dembele will join PSG and a verbal agreement has been reached, it will cost Barcelona their firepower next season.
Not the hell group for Barcelona in the previous season in the Champions League, but indeed their strength is not too strong when they have to face other teams. Barcelona was very difficult to win matches in the champions league last season because they were not consistent in the matches they played. However, this season Barcelona will try their best after the player's confidence begins to rise after winning the Laliga trophy.

For Xavi, he really wants to bring Barcelona to go far in the Champions League so he needs better performance from his players when playing in Champions League matches. I'm sure Gundogan presence will be a source of strength for them next season because Gundogan can provide his best experience to help Barcelona beat their opponents next season.

Xavi was a legendary player in Barcelona and now he has proven that he can be a good coach too regarding the players he bought I think Gundogan is an experienced player who helped Machester City to win the champions league and he was an effective player in Manchester City. Maybe after Xavi improves this team they can even think about racing for the champion league and winning the title in this tournament.

In the Champions League, clubs from the Premier League often dominate and of course it's a tough challenge for Barcelona because they have to fight clubs from the Premier League, one of which is Manchester City, who won last season.
Don't forget that there are clubs that are quite tough, namely PSG and Real Madrid, where there will always be tough competition in every season in the Champions League.

Maybe Xavi has prepared a team to bring Barcelona to compete, it's just that we don't know if they can last until the semifinals, based on the research I did from La Liga, Real Madrid will be stronger, not Barcelona.
I think it's only natural that Real Madrid is currently stronger than Barcelona, because Madrid is in fourth place with the most expensive squad at the moment. Meanwhile, Barcelona occupies position number seven, but this is not a benchmark and parameter. Because Barcelona has its own luck I see, in the midst of setbacks they created consistency so that they won the La Liga championship trophy last season. It's possible that next season they can do it again amid Madrid dominance, at least we can see the strength of the two teams when El Clasico takes place in La Liga.

I think all teams that have recruited new players will experience ups and downs in their performance at the start of the season, because they will certainly encounter various challenges during their adaptation period.

Arsenal are going to be one of the new teams around here after a long break. I'm curious about their performance especially. Because they had a really amazing season in the English Premier League. Maybe they missed a big chance to become even the champions but they still had an incredible run. Now Arteta will be expected to have the same performance with the team in the Champions League as well. However this is technically a much more difficult task for him of course.

Because they are a really young team and the new team leader is going to be Odegaard after Xhaka's departure. I wonder how being a very young team will affect their consistency especially.

A fun fact is that Arsenal London, although they have been one of the European superpowers, never won the Europe League and never won the Champions League. They will bring some really needed new action into the competition. They have been quite weak for a few years and never really were a serious contender during that time, but now they are on a good way to find back their confidence and strength to also compete with the best teams in Europe. I am looking forward to the draw for the group stage. They can already face a top team early on as they finished 2nd in the league.

Yes Arsenal have won only local championships in team history. Maybe they could have achieved the Champions League title in their past when they had great players such as Thierry Henry. Now they are building their future with young and talented players. Arteta has done a really good work with this squad so far. There was a big improvement last season. But it is still doubtful if they can show the same performance in the Champions League as well. It has been a while since they joined this tournament the last time.

But if we see consistency in the Champions League as well they can at least be good enough to get past group stage. It is up to having a good draw as well of course.
Arteta has done so much work for arsenal by bringing young players for next season and this will definitely improve arsenal without no doubt but I'm not so sure if arsenal will have that energy to win the Champions league. Arsenal failed to win Premier league last season and the main target for arsenal next season should be  winning Premier league,  it won't be easy for arsenal to be fighting for Premier league and champions league because the team is just coming up, it will be better they go after one trophy.
If you already admit Mikel Arteta has a huge contribution to Arsenal why do you doubt him for next season?
I am a big Arsenal fan, have always believed what Mikel Arteta is planning for next season, will get Arsenal want, namely the champions league trophy, even though it failed last season, but failure cannot be a barrier for this club to continue failing in the champions league, and I am sure that Arteta will always have good plans for next season and I heard rumors that Arteta has started to be active in the transfer market targeting several players from Napoli and this proof that the Arsenal coach seriousness in bringing the club to get trophies is very convincing and even though they have to fail in the champions league they can't get a title in premier league next season and compete with manchstr city

They have a good coach a good set of players now there's no harm in trying again they have all it takes to win the Premier League. Last season they couldn't achieve it at the die minutes of  all of the struggle. Topping the Premier League from week one to the last two months of the league where they suddenly dropped important points. With the player's signed Arsenal can win the Premier League and also compete strongly for the Champions League. They are now so solid and has back up players except that for Saka. He has no replacement yet for substitution.

Galatasaray did not have a good performance tonight. Galatasaray barely managed to beat its opponent. Galatasaray won 1-0 with a perfect goal by Mertens. It reminded me of the goal scored by Hakan Ünsal years ago. Galatarasaray will face Olimpija Ljublana in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.
Galatasaray won with a small score, but it was enough to beat their opponent at home and qualify for the next round. The club was gonna face olimpija which was not a strong club, but olimpija was able beating ludogorets. I thought that if ludo would be winning the game but olimpija was changing the situation. Olimpija may not become favorite when it's gonna be facing galatasaray. Galatasaray is still also adding more player to strengthen its club. I hope that fred's deal gonna be completed as soon as possible and he will be able to play in galatasaray when the club gonna face olimpija.
The negotiation with manchester united is still happening for fred.

The only thing that should please the fans of Barcelona is that they are in the first pot and, firstly, they will receive a couple of weak opponents (with a high probability) and, secondly, they will not play in the group stage with Bayern  Grin Otherwise, nothing has changed and not only English clubs will be a great danger to Barcelona - in fact even average teams will have a chance to knock it out.

This your statistics of Barcelona is really will not be encouraging to their fans, the way you spelt down the whole team and have no believe in them of winning the champions league trophy or even going far in the league. If this all come to past, I’ll also say that the club has not really achieved anything and should go back and strategize again. But I doubt all these will happen in the next season.

Every team always wants to compete in the champions league competition because of the fame and fortune they’ll receive from there. If Arsenal eventually gets knocked out in the Champions league very early, they’ll be proud they got featured there for some time, it’s still better than not qualifying for the league at all. Even if Arsenal done stand as a good side for the champions league title, they won’t relent it want to be eliminated at the first stage. I hope they show a fierce battle like others will do when the champions league begins.
