Considering the experience and tactical ability of Pep Guardiola and the current squad of Manchester City, I think the club wouldn't feel any significant effect about the players that's left the club this summer transfer window.
IIkay Gundogan after his departure was immidiately replaced by Mateo Kovacic while Riyad Mahrez who's yet to be replaced wasn't a regular starter last season. The transfer window is still open which means that City can still sign few more players before the end of the transfer window. But even if they fail to make any more signing, City will still perform well in Europe
Manchester City is set to confront fresh challenges after winning the UEFA Champions League title; they are the current reigning Champions and widely regarded as the best club in the world. Pep Guardiola does not appear concerned about his departing players; perhaps he has a backup substitute for every key player at the club. Chelsea's Kovacic will take over for Ilkay Gundogan. Manchester City's performance would be smoother than ever before, thanks to Pep's relentless work on the club's anticipated performance, always ready to take things to the next level.

although there is no guarantee about this, it makes me a little more sure because this season Man City has not made many changes to their line-up despite losing several players, but they still have reliable players like Haaland and my belief is based because all Man City players have good consistency. very high and very solid in every game so dont rely on certain players even every player has the opportunity to score like last season maybe Haaland was able to perform well in the EPL but in the champions league not too good but instead other players performed very well so Im very sure if Pep still have the goal to get the champions league trophy again and that for sure.
I will talk about 2 things when a club holds the status of defending champion, the first is in terms of pressure, certainly the club with the status of defending champion will be more under very high pressure, because we all know that winning will be easier than defending the title. And the second is in terms of confidence, of course, with their status as defending champions they are in very high confidence, because they have been able to show that they are able to become champions in the Champions League. The question is whether they will be in which point, the first or the second, if they cannot control the pressure, the title will certainly be taken away, and if they can make more confidence above the pressure they will be able to defend it.

Barcelona cant repeat the shamefull performance of last two years, being stuck on group phase and falling into Europa League. So they are gonna be very akward on the draw this year.

Xavi its doing Barcelona play really good footbal, but in europe they are strugling to show that somehow. But i think with Gundogan its gonna be much more team than before, he was the key player they were missing.

I think right now, barcelona should not be thinking about doing well in the Champions League. They should concentrate in one competition only. And I genuinely believe that they have a better chance to win the La Liga titles instead of winning the Champions League. So even though some people are saying that Barcelona should be able to do better in European competitions, I am going to say that it is very understandable why they are not doing well in the Champions League. It’s because they are not even trying to. Last season, they went for the La Liga title and they have successfully achieved that. Let’s see what is the approach from them in this season.
Understandably, Barca may be eyeing other competitions because almost any club wants other competitions to improve the club good name and even though Barca doesn't have the best players at the moment, there's nothing wrong with trying their hardest to get the title and not just get the title in LaLiga.
Many have doubted Barca performance this season to win the title in the champions league on the grounds that they don't have the best players and also the players that are currently remaining are not like before who have strength in every game and I think there is no need to be disappointed with what will happen to Barca even though it failed in the champions league but at least getting the top position in LaLiga is much better.
I really appreciate Xavi efforts this season even though there are only normal players left but trying to strengthen the club performance to continue to survive like its former glory and I hope that in the coming season Barca finances will recover soon and get top players again to regain their former glory

Xavi in Barcelona was very impressive and I couldn't expect to see Barcelona winning the La Liga title when he started working there because Xavi is not experienced as other coaches. However, in last season Barcelona couldn't play in the champions league but I think in the next season when they are racing with other teams like Real Madrid and Machester City, they can even have the chance to win the champions league title if we see the same performance from this team in the next season.
Barca don't need to have the same performance of last season,if not they might not be able to win the next champions league. Barca needs to improve in their performance so that they can be hopeful to win UCL. The champions league is a competition that brings the best clubs from different leagues to play amongst themselves and more is expected from most clubs. Winning your local league hasn't given you a guarantee that with the same performance you will win a competition played by the best clubs in Europe. I still believed that with the little change in the players Barca will do perfectly well in the champions league this season. As they will want people to believe in them by impressing their fans with good results.

Based on UEFA Champion League winner history there are not any teams yet success winning back to back except Real Madrid success win three time in a row, I doubt with Manchester City has chance for winning two time in a row for Champion League tittle. For next season, Manchester City leaves by Ikay Gundogan and Ryan Mahrez although the second name is not main squad for Manchester City but Ikay Gundogan is most important player with Champion League tittle contribution.

Achievement winning Champion League last season based on how smart tactic from Pep Guardiola, not depend on one player exactly when Erling Haaland get huge pressure still have player on second line for scoring goals. If Pep Guardiola tactic for next season still the same has chance for winning back UCL but its not easy.
Right now, talking about title race is too early even Manchester City is still one of the best to defend their title but as changes are happening around the clubs we can expect any serious challenger in coming days as well which can create problems for them like if we have Harry Kane in Bayern Munich then surely things could be not easy for any team to handle them and same case can go for the Real Madrid if they are able to bring Mbappé then surely their strength could be at the top, and they can go through for another title easily same happening for the few other teams which are working on their squads and fixing their holes which hurt them in last season.

Pep Guardiola is surely currently one of the best in business and his tactics are surely giving them good success but leaving top players surely can hurt their performance, and they can also face problems with we all know Champions League is never easy to predict its nature is always unpredictable.

If Barcelona's performance is still the same as before next season, it might only be possible for Barcelona to win La Liga again next season. Meanwhile, to win the Champions League next season, of course Barcelona needs to improve its performance next season better than the previous one. Because last season's failure in the Champions League is an example that is still very close for Barcelona to see it and try to make improvements before they go into next season.

It is actually good to see that PSG signed a different kind of coach. Because so far with their usual strategies they haven't managed to make it to the Champions League title. Luis Enrique is about to change the usual strategies and build his own game for this team from now on. With a different game plan it is going to be interesting to watch PSG. If this works out for them with minimum number of issues then we might be likely to see PSG being competitive for the title for real this time.

I guess Luis Enrique would like to have a great star like Mbappe staying at least for this season. His contribution to the team would be vital in this run.

You may get a sense of what will happen from how each team performs, even though I am aware that it would be unwise for me to evaluate them or even assert that they cannot win the champion league title. Despite my belief that PSG will give it their all in the Champions League, I don't think they will succeed in taking home the trophy because there are so many other good teams who play far better than PSG does. psg is a very large team in league one, one of the best teams that frequently wins league 1, and they also have a good coach because the team consistently spent a lot of money to ensure that the team performance looked great. However, the upcoming champion league will be very competitive, so I don't think psg will win the champion league title next season.

Psg is in the process of acquiring a new player from various clubs, including Dembele from Barcelona. If Dembele joins the team, I think the team's performance will be excellent, but due to another rumour I've heard, Barcelona wants to trade Dembele and Rafhina for mbappe, and the Paris Saint-Germain wants to purchase only Dembele because mbappe wanted to play for Real Madrid. To prevent another issue from the team, I believe PSG needs to resolve everything before the start of the Champions League. This is because the current problem with the Mbappe to another team has turned into another one for the team.

The squad that Barcelona has under the direction of Xavi has formed a strong chemistry between fellow players, I think Barcelona will soon become part of the favorite team to win the UCL if they are able to improve on the abilities that have been shown last season.
Xavi has demonstrated expertise and done a fantastic job for Barcelona, and he is currently working hard to enhance the team ahead of next season. His contributions to the squad cannot be overstated, especially given the team's current status as a worthy representative in the Champions League next season. If they will replicate their current form in the Champions League next season, they will be a serious contender for the title.
Yeah Xavi done a good job in first season, and he tries to fix their problems and just have target of winning La Liga now in this season all eyes on their next target which is surely Champions League and again La Liga mean double even it's never been easy because their record is never been ideal in Champions League but still they can do much better than achieve in last few seasons currently they have enough quality which can bring better results and in Champions League.

In last season, we have better chemistry from the all players and coach for the win, and surely they were at the top of the game now their few youngsters are doing impressive job and surely if they are able to keep momentum in coming preseason games then things could be as par their targeted.

The Manchester City squad has been perfectly formed based on the success achieved last season, the departure of Ikay Gundogan will not have a major impact on Manchester City performance because there are still 10 other players who are very integrated with the philosophy used by Guardiola. Riyad Mahrez departure is not too worrying, he is not the first choice in Guardiola's squad, although Manchester City are not looking for a replacement for Riyad Mahrez it will not affect Manchester City appearance this season.

Guardiola will try to bring Manchester City back to the highest point in the UCL this season, his experience in managing strategies when busy schedules are needed to prevent his players from getting injured or exhausted due to being forced to play too often. Manchester City's potential in the UCL this season is still very large, they must support each other to advance to the final round, Guardiola tactics have also greatly supported Manchester City journey this season.

@Bobrox I believe that a lot will depend on how Halland plays this season because if he can continue scoring goals at record pace then City can definitely defend their newly won champions league title. However if Real Madrid manage to get Mbappe then they’ll become really strong and thus it’ll be very interesting to see Halland vs Mbappe in the champions league because these two are the new Messi and Ronaldo of this era.

As long as the players substituting the departing ones are of the same league and they can find themselves harmonizing well with the team then it is only natural for Guardiola to not be concerned. It is very difficult to win the UEFA Champions League twice in a  row so even for a team like Manchester City who could easily beat anyone last season it will not be the same and it will not be easy at all to repeat their glorious 2022/2023 season. The other teams though so far have not done much in the player transfers during the summer so I don't expect them to have an easy win in the Champions, mainly I am referring to Real and Barcelona here.

It's difficult, but it's possible, if Real Madrid can do it, then other teams can do it too. City are probably one of the few teams that have shown very stable results in recent seasons and go far enough in the Champions League, so their chances are very good. What will happen to Bayern is not yet clear, the same applies to PSG, Real Madrid also did not resolve the issue with the striker, and this was evident in the match with Barcelona. So City will be the favorite in this Champions League too.

The Manchester City squad has been perfectly formed based on the success achieved last season
They are the treble winners in the last season with one of three titles is Premier League trophy but in Premier League, they only succeeded to take the first position in very late weeks of the season. After that they never lost it again to Arsenal, their main competitor in Premier League.

Quote
the departure of Ikay Gundogan will not have a major impact on Manchester City performance because there are still 10 other players who are very integrated with the philosophy used by Guardiola.
Gundogan is a first player bought by Pep Guardiola when he came to Etihad that shows the importance of Gundogan. I believe Manchester City will be able to replace Gundogan but if saying his missing won't affect them, it is untrue. It will affect Manchester City somehow and it's hard to find another midfielder who has similar skills like Gundogan.

Quote
Riyad Mahrez departure is not too worrying, he is not the first choice in Guardiola's squad, although Manchester City are not looking for a replacement for Riyad Mahrez it will not affect Manchester City appearance this season.
Mahrez lost his position to Bernado Silva and was an alternative player in the last season. His departure will have less effects on Manchester City than the departure of Gundogan.

Quote

Guardiola is smart and flexible to substitute his players and it is helpful during a long season. We must talk about the depth of player resource in Manchester City which helps Guardiola management a lot. It does not come to him automatically but it is gained after a very long transfer execution in many seasons. PSG also spent a lot of money for transfers but they don't have a good team like Manchester City.

Manchester City's performance would be smoother than ever before, thanks to Pep's relentless work on the club's anticipated performance, always ready to take things to the next level.

Manchester city moved quickly after learning that several of their players would leave this summer and they immediately looked for suitable replacements, one of which was Kovacic. I think the departure of Riyad Mahrez to the Saudi league team left the right winger position looking vacant and actually Phil Foden could fill it. But still, Pep Guardiola has to find new players to cover his main players and he has to find that player soon. Meanwhile, Manchester City's defense is also in negotiations with Josko Gvardiol from Leipzig to help strengthen the defense in next season's Champions League.

Apart from that I don't think there is any recent news and maybe an unexpected problem is when Pep Guardiola doesn't update his strategy because all the strong teams in the champions league must have found a gap in his flagship 3-2-4-1 formation and it is worth waiting to see if Pep Guardiola will give something new later or stick with the same strategy as the previous season to defend their title.

Pep Guardiola will never regret for his decision to release some players in this summer, because his plan always bring good result at the end of the tournament, which I know that the players that left will not affect the Manchester city performance in this season.

Seems Manchester city aren't very active in the transfer market and that only means Pep Guardiola is confident in the players he has at the club currently. He trusts them because he believes they cab deliver him the champions league and the premier league because if he didn't trust them then he would had been very active in the market looking for players to add to the team to make up for those that have left the club but he isn't doing that. Pep Guardiola is a genius so he can use any player he wants to win trophies and if he noticed he can't achieve anything with this current squad, the January transfer window is open for Manchester city to go into scouting.

The strength of Manchester city isn't Haaland as he has been ghosting in major tournament that the clubs and fans needed him to win them the competition but there's no doubt that he has been very important in his team getting to to finals. Haaland need to work on himself more because this season won't be like last time, defenders will be keeping eyes on him more but this can also work in his favor as attention get withdrawn from him in big games since he hasn't showed any capability of causing damage in big games.

With the same performance they won't win the Champions League. Compare the 10 best games that Manchester City played in all competitions with the 10 best games that Barcelona played in all competitions last season. The difference in performance between the two teams will be massive. Barcelona played four very bad games in the group stage. The first game and then the second game in the group against Bayern was alright not bad. In La Liga they played well because of their defense, but they also benefitted from Real and Atletico Madrid to struggle so much.

It will be a new try for them in the Champions League and at first they should think about passing the group stage and nothing else. Talking about the Champions League win before the season even started isn't really making any sense.
