Joselu made it clear that he didn't come to Real Madrid to replace Benzema but to enjoy football. Real Madrid's inability to sign a natural striker has put more responsibility on the 34-year Spaniard. We might say that his performance so far cannot be compared with make Benzema made in the club but he has also been a great help to the club. He has been involved in some goals and has also created some assists. Benzema came to Madrid as a young striker and gradually improved in his performance, on the contrary, Joselu has somehow passed the prime of his career which means that Madrid needs to get a young traditional number nine.
Joselu must come to Real Madrid to be the main striker of Real Madrid. I think it is impossible if he doesn't want to replace the role of Benzema. Unfortunately, he has tried to be the main striker of Real Madrid in some matches but he failed to convince Ancelotti. One of the lack ability of Joselu is he missed too many chances to score goals. His accuracy is still not suitable for the main striker of Real Madrid.

Sure, Joselu has scored some goals and few assists. In La Liga, he scored 8 goals and 2 assists in 27 appearances. It is still far from the expectation of Real Madrid management, that's why he is rarely in the starting lineup. I guess Joselu will be set as a substituted striker in Real Madrid team.

Joselu's statistics are bad for Real Madrid. It is very normal to have a substitute player with this statistic.
My guess is that Real Madrid will transfer Kylian Mbappé as a striker. If Kylian Mbappé comes to this team, it would be very good for both Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappé.

Real Madrid management certainly has considerations about making Joselu status permanent from Espanyol, it is true that he has helped Real Madrid front line a lot thanks to a number of goals and assists. He is no longer young, so the situation may be a little difficult to get a permanent contract from Real Madrid. If Mbappe officially joins, there is a possibility that Joselu will be returned to his parent club.

I also believe that Arsenal still has a long way to go if they are going to win the Champions league. If Arsenal can be consistent like this for the next 5 seasons ahead then they can talk of winning the champions league. Arsenal usually play good during the group stages but they find it difficult to progress past the quarter finals and this is something that Mikel Arteta has to figure out. This time around they have a huge task, they have to find a way to neutralize Bayern Munich and progress to the next round. I would really like them to eliminate Bayern Munich, but I think am dreaming about that.
Not only do Arsenal has got a long way to go in the champions league but they aswell also have to work way harder than they are doing current if they must be able to win the champions league because it's a different spirit all together and the approach and patterns in the champions league is usually different from the approach that's been used in the domestic league and this is usually seen with most teaam.

They get to preserve players for the purpose of the champions league because they know the competition in the Champions league usually is very different from what's obtainable in their various domestic league and that's why they don't joke with their champions league fixtures because it's such a very competitive game and they can't afford to not give their best and they make sure to give only their best and if they loose they know they lost at their best and not a mediocre loss so even Arsenal I think are aware of this and will aswell try to put their selves in order to be able to face this challenge.

Their next opponent in the champions league is one thats also determine to getting to win the champions league by almost every means because hey are hoping on the champions league as the only trophy they are seeing an opportunity with so getting to the finals is something they will give this all for even If they don't get to win but they would fulfill the fact that they got to the champions league finals after a very long period of time.

Real Madrid is the prominent La Liga club capable of winning the UCL trophy this season and also leading when it comes to league performance and position. Florentino Pérez is happy with his team and excited he made tremendous signings in the transfer window. On the records, Real Madrid have lost major key players this season but in all of these events triggered, Real Madrid stand tall in performance and they're making incredible winnings against oppositions. Real Madrid ontop of the table, not minding the crucial position they've found themselves, always ready to fight for important matches and also promising in elite tournaments this season.

Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti is 100% in for everything, keeping good stands to win matches. José Luis Sanmartín Mato filled in the gap for Karim Benzema, we can emphasize he's trying. Though he's trying but he doesn't fit in fully as the Frenchman would. Joselu is trying his best to comprehend his abilities and also called up for improvement in matches and I'm starting to see his developing stats. Atleast he's able to net few goals and also provide crucial assists for his teammates. I think with time, Joselu will improve and do better, beating the likes of odds and expectations.

City players may feel a little bit fatigue over winning as well, that is actually quite important. I mean by that logic Real Madrid players should all be retired lol, but after a season where you won the treble (and then won a few more) then it feels like you may not have the feeling if wanting to keep winning more and more.

This is why I believe that City may feel like they will not be forced to play that hard. They can still win it. I'm not saying they won't, I am just saying lets not expect a domination like they had last year. Plus they keep missing players here and there, and rarely 100% healthy, so that causes a lot of trouble for them as well. This is why it is quite important to keep them constantly in action.

The city is not joking and we mean business in whatever we are doing compared to other clubs I was even thinking Madrid would eventually have a chance with us and I was already thinking Madrid had a chance, and the best advice is that they should just focus on La Liga because they won't win the champions league and we have more chances of winning currently than Real Madrid. and if it is the issue of winning or wanting to win, I feel like Manchester City is in that position. Even the last time Manchester City did not struggle too much to be able to win the title, and the same thing will happen this season, we are going to win the Champions League without stress.

The last season was also a hard season for madrid. It was also facing real madrid too but city was winning the game with huge margin against it. So, nothing different compared to the this time. In order to win UCL and you must have passed all of obstacles that will be waiting for you to come. The big obstacle was coming even earlier than what i predicted.
I was not even believing it how city gets madrid as its opponent. The bad thing if there is also a news said that walker potentially injury which is also making the clubs to miss someone who can effectively preventing vini as a winger of real madrid. Madrid has no one that can run as fast as kyle walker.

If the news about walker was injury totally real and pep is now confusing to know who is the most suitable backs that can play as right back like walker. Vini will become the biggest threat for barcelona as this guy has speed and proper finishing. It will always threatening manchester city.
A lot of clubs have been doing massive improvements now. City needs to take it carefully caused by real madrid is also having new resources that changed the club a lot. The first match gonna happen away for city. As long as club will able to get draw and everything is fine now.

I don't even see madrid's player that posses the big threat like vini. Vini is the only threat that owned by real madrid.

Yeah Joselu has nothing to do compared to Benzema and you dont need to know much about football to agree to that, but this Real Madrid have a super Jude Bellingham so the real comparision can be Benzema against Bellingham. Is the same Real Madrid with better middle for me, and a little minor power in foward.

That's what he said at first, but I think deep inside he was hoping to play an important role for Real Madrid. But yes he accepted that if someone else can play the central striker role, he might probably be more sitting on the bench than anything else. But at his age I would have done the same. There is nothing to lose and he was given a great chance to play the biggest games and tournaments a player can aim for in football. At the end of the day I think it doesn't matter all that much whether he played 5 games or 35 games in a season if they do win some titles eventually. Real Madrid as the last stage in your career? I am sure there are worse clubs to play for as a last career stop.

Considering how impressively consistent Arsenal have been since the start of the season, I don't think it'll be wrong to consider them as a strong contender for the UEFA Champions League title this season but I think there are three more four clubs that are still in the competition that I'll rather consider as favourites ahead of Arsenal and that's because I think the players at Arsenal doesn't have much experience in the competition.
Every elite team will always find a way to reach the top this season. Gunners performance have not pleased me because they're just consistent for a season and the next season, they're no where to be found. Perhaps they've change and when I say that, we can be looking at the new Gunners this season. Expects the long winnings and also doing exceptionally brilliant from Arsenal. Mikel Arteta and his team should be enlisted to be among the club's to reach significant UCL finals. The UEFA Champions League is not even consider the league.
I agree about that but maybe Arsenal this season is quite different. We know that it will not be easy for Arsenal to reach the quarterfinals and they have to work hard to get rid of Porto first. After being confirmed for qualifying for the quarterfinals, Arsenal once again had to meet again with a past they didn't want to meet and that was Bayern Munich. Arsenal must be quite annoyed at why it has to be Bayern Munich but that's how the draw works and they have to accept the result.
It's really hard to believe. I tell you that if Arsenal was often bottled trophies, I doubt they will be able to do so this season. It's hard to believe Arsenal won't make the same mistakes as previous seasons. Arsenal may still struggle in the upcoming games against bayern munich soon. I don't trust this club. Arsenal is not even able building my confidence to trust it.
I've noticed that many people were saying the same thing as you in the previous seasons. They hoped for something different to happen to Arsenal, but nothing happened till almost two decades. Arsenal continues to bottle it. This makes me very skeptical about Arsenal's chances of winning the competition soon especially UCL coz this is the hardest competition where best of the best team is competing to get the most prestigious trophy. I'm expecting the same outcome as last season, but no more. Arsenal failed in the Europa League last season with almost the same squad. How is it possible to win the UCL, where so many great clubs compete to be the best?

I also have general doubts about Arsenals ability to win the UCL given their past performances and struggles in the competition. However, it's important to remember that teams can change and grow over time and Arsenal has made some significant improvements to their squad and tactics in recent seasons. Archeta did a really good job.  Additionally its important to remember that Arsenal has a talented squad with world-class players and they have shown flashes of brilliance in recent seasons. They have also made some smart signings and have a new manager who has a proven track record of success. All of these factors suggest that they have the potential to do well in the UCL this season.
I also believe that Arsenal still has a long way to go if they are going to win the Champions league. If Arsenal can be consistent like this for the next 5 seasons ahead then they can talk of winning the champions league. This is a match between two of Europe's top teams at the moment, a match full of prestige and revenge, of course both teams will field their entire best squad and use all their best qualities in this match.
Both teams are aware that this is a very, very difficult match, so there is nothing to be underestimated here.

This meeting should now be viewed anymore as a form of revenge, but a form of survival between two big teams in Europe. The two teams are in their best forms and you can’t tell which is better or has a higher chances of making it to the next round of the competition. I am not bidding or supporting any team to win in this match, their performance will relay for them in this match.

Quote
This is very possible because from the start Real Madrid and Manchester City were quite the favorites to win the UCL title this season, but unfortunately the meeting between the two teams happened too quickly.
Playing home or away may have a slight influence but it is not that significant and I think everything will be quite fair for both teams.

The meeting happened too quickly than it even happened last season when they both met in the semifinals. Manchester City prevailed in that match and that was the season they got to win their first ever Champions League trophy. This season proves to be a promising one for them too, but can they eliminate Real Madrid for the second term in a row? That remains the unknown puzzle that will left to be unfold at the end of their meeting with each other.

We are looking forward to it, because if for example one of their key players gets injured later in thismatch then of course, that factor will have a significant impact on the team's performance later. But yes, if for example Real Madrid and Manchester City are able to keep their key players well for this match, then of course their match will be a very high-tension match. Because after all, in the last two seasons Real Madrid and Manchester City have always met in the semi-final match and therefore, it will certainly be very interesting. So yes, whether Real Madrid or Manchester City can qualify for the nextround in their third meeting in the knockout phase of the Champions League in three consecutive seasons.

Yeah actually we don't expect this match in the quarter final because this is more appropriate in the final but there's nothing they can do and can't be avoided both teams must be prepared to get rid of each other. I didn't favorite one of them because both teams have the same opportunity but luck can help one of them, the question is who will be more fortunate in this fight? unpredictable, we have to wait for the match until the last minute. For the first leg match, of course the home team is more favored  this means they have to use it as best they can.
This depends on how their performance will be, because it could be that one of them is unlucky by showing a game that is not like usual which will result in them finally having to admit defeat to their opponent, this applies to Real Madrid and Manchester City. It's a shame that their meeting happened so quickly, but we can't do anything about it because the lottery results say they have to meet in this round, even though most of us didn't expect this to happen now.

You are right, luck could be the difference in a tight match like this. Both clubs have beaten and eliminated each other before, in other words they have a record of experience in eliminating each other. With facts like that, of course it will be difficult for us to predict, even though the bookies actually give Manchester City a bigger chance of getting rid of Real Madrid. But all of that will be answered when they have finished 2 very decisive matches, and we have to watch it to see who will advance to the next round.

Real Madrid and Manchester City will meet in a Champions League quarter final between the past two winners and the only two teams to win all eight games in this season's competition. I'm looking forward to the result of this matchup. I would like Real Madrid to eliminate the Man City. The winner between Real Madrid and Manchester City will be in the semi- final against Arsenal or Bayern Munich.

Real Madrid is the true-blue ruler of the Champions League, mate. Manchester City might've had a bit of luck snagging the title last year, but mark my words, Real's gonna be fair dinkum ready to take on not only Manchester City but any other mob till the season's end. I reckon they'll be lifting that trophy for the umpteenth time, mate. No other squad's pulled off such a ripper feat!
I wouldn't be so sure that Real Madrid will win Man City in that match because the match is a very tight one with both having equal opportunities. Man City is not a team to write off easily, they have broken that hard luck that prevented them from winning the UCL for many years. They have the team and the coach to win the trophy again this season.

Real Madrid may appear a favorite team to advance to the next stage but I will not bet my money on that because the match can go either way.

I agree that it is a match where both have equal opportunities. Manchester City and Real Madrid both have a chance to win. these two teams are also candidates for the trophy this season but unfortunately, they are met in the quarter-finals. And only one team can win this cup. I would like Real Madrid to defeat Manchester City in the quarter-finals in both the first and second legs too. But right now, Manchester City has a very strong team and a very qualified coach. Things will not be easy for Real Madrid.

It would be very pleasing for us if Arsenal were able to win this competition, but it is not an easy matter for Arsenal to make it happen. moreover, Arsenal must be consistent in their domestic league to maintain their ranking on the standings, plus the experience of Mikel Arteta's squad in the Champions League has not yet been tested. but referring to what you said, yeah we agree. If Arsenal is currently developing more as they play match after match, let alone problems related to the team's mentality which has improved slightly. I'm sure as you said, Arsenal will play their match very well, especially when they play their match against Bayern Munich. however, it is not easy for Arsenal to overthrow this giant Bundesliga team. so it's not just skill and talent to overthrow Bayern, but teamwork and a little luck are needed. however, if we refer to betting options, Arsenal is currently slightly superior to Bayern Munich, perhaps because Arsenal play their matches at their own home, Emirates Stadium. I just hope that, as a supporter of the Gunners, Arsenal will play the match with their best performance.

I hope that both teams can field their best squads, so that we can watch the match run with high tension. The atmosphere will be very different from other matches, because the Man City versus Madrid match can be considered an early final. It is true that it is very difficult to predict the final result, because both teams are strong candidates to win the Champions League trophy this season. The injury factor will indeed play a role in each club chances of winning, losing key players is a big loss for Pep Guardiola or Ancelotti.

Madrid may have a slight advantage in the first leg because they will act as hosts, Ancelotti will use all the resources he has to achieve revenge. On paper, both teams have the complete attributes to beat each other regardless of home or away matches, this is where it is difficult to predict the final result of this match. Furthermore, I think whoever can emerge victorious in that match and advance to the semifinals will have a big chance of winning the trophy this season.

I think this is the hardest match to predict in the Quarter Finals of UEFA Champions League this season. Both the teams are in great form. But Erling Haaland seems to be struggling right now against the big teams. So I believe if Real Madrid can shut him down, then they can win. Bellingham is going under injury and is expected to be back before their match against Manchester City, so if he can be fit, he would be the key player of Real Madrid.

I believe it will be a tactical battle between the two coaches Ancelotti and Pep Guardiola. Players staying fit is one of the necessities for both the team before the match.

But it seems that comparing Bellingham with Benzema is not an appropriate comparison because afterall, Bellingham and Benzema are in different positions. Therefore, it would be morea ppropriate to compare Benzema and Joselu because they are in the sameposition. But indeed, considering the opportunities that Joselu has to play, of course there is a significant difference compared to Benzema. Because after all, Benzema was the main player and also a key player for Real Madrid at that time, while Joselu was only a second tier player and with these factors too, it is not entirely appropriate to compare Benzema with Joselu.

But yes, eve nthough Joselu is notalways the first choice to play in the starting lineup but yes, at least Joselu also has the ability to score goals and make a good contribution to the results obtained by Real Madrid. So, basically all these players still have goodcontributions and qualities, eve nthough of course they have many differences, at least they can still provide good results for Real Madrid in the many matches they have played.
