Since leading Man Utd in the summer of 2022, Ten Hag has brought in most of the players who have worked with him or played in the Dutch league that he is familiar with, such as Antony, Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez, Wout Weghorst, Marcel Sabitzer, Mason Mount or Andre Onana. Having eliminated Ronaldo, Ten Hag boldly took the second step and pushed David de Gea out of Old Trafford. It is a monument here. Next, the name Jadon Sancho was removed from the main squad. And last season's central player, Marcus Rashford, was also put on the bench.
What strategy is Ten Hag using? It's hard to understand. He considered himself a strict person. But I see him being stubborn and refusing to admit his mistakes. You know, replacing him is necessary, but who is the right person to shoulder this responsibility now?
I can't blame Ten Hag for pushing any player away. It's his team and he wants to play a certain kind of way and those players make it difficult for him, according to him and that's fine. My problem with him is sending these players away when the players he's signing plays almost the same way the outgoing players play.
In what world did Ten Hag think Weghorst would be a better top striker than Ronaldo? He complained about Ronaldo not fitting into his set up, and that's fine, like I said it's his team, but why sign Weghorst who has similar attributes in playing style with Ronaldo but not better than Ronaldo.
The whole football world was surprised that United were ready to spend £100 million on Antony. What were they expecting him to do? You spend that kind of money on a player that can guarantee you 30 G/A every season. Anthony can't give you half of that for 2 seasons straight.
Ten Hag would be sacked, that's inevitable at this rate. Right now there's not United does well on the field.
I'm not saying Ten Hag is the only problem in Manchester United's current form, but he's a part of the problem.
