I also think so, overall Real Madrid's performance this season is very inconsistent and also the matches in UCL cannot be underestimated especially overall the strength of RB Salzburg and Brest is not that bad this season so it is also possible for RB Salzburg and Brest to make a surprise when playing against Real Madrid later.
I think everything is possible in the remaining 2 UCL matches before the playoffs later and I think Real Madrid cannot be favored excessively.

One thing that should on check in this last two matches left by every team, even those teams that are looking not too strong and playing against the big teams will also be fighting in order to get a spot in the playoffs even though they can’t make it to the next round directly. Playing in the playoffs will be like a big record to them than it will be for this big teams, so all big teams trying to survive this stage to the next round will be more careful in the remaining matches. Their fixtures may look very cheap but in reality of the champions league, no need can be underestimated and they should play and treat all teams equal if they really want to go far in this competition.

This season Manchester City has faced many obstacles and difficulties, both in the Premier League and the UCL. This absence of key players has made Manchester City's situation worse in the competition. not only using Erling Haaland as the key in the game. I think a coach must look for a new solution for City to return to its glory.
The decline in Man City's team performance cannot be separated from the injuries of several important players in the squad and also cannot be separated from De Bruyne's performance who has experienced a decline in performance as a field general. In the last two matches, they have started to find their best form, although they may not be consistent in the future, but this should be the first step for them to fix all the shortcomings that have occurred this season, both in the Champions League and in the Premier League.

Erling Haaland is starting to have difficulty scoring goals because De Bruyne's performance may have declined slightly, resulting in the flow of the ball for Erling Haaland stopping. But when facing West Ham, he managed to score two goals for Man City's victory and hopefully this will be a turning point for him and the team.

Seriously. Manchester City is experiencing a tough time this season; their performance is poor this season, although I think it’s already late for them because De Bruyne is facing a decline in his performance, and he is one of the key players of the Manchester City squad. And again, their last performance should not make you think they are getting back their performance; you need to watch more of their games before you conclude whether their performance is back or not. I think you shouldn’t conclude or think they are back because of their last game.

Yeah you are right, we can't just say they are back because of the win they got against West Ham, however they have improved, but I don't see them lifting any trophy this season and for champions League they may not even go far in the competition because of there performance however if they improve more than this they will, the problem of Manchester city now is not the coach but the players they have lost form and is time for pep guardiola to make some serious amendment by buying more informed players and that should be next season, Eric Holland is still much inform all he needs is someone that will give him ball to score.
No team remain inform every season, this is there bad season and I'm very sure they will come out of it from next season, real Madrid where having issues and that was because mbappe has not blended with the team very well,
I believe that if Manchester city will buy other good players next season especially a player that can be feeding Holland with good pass to score then they are good to go.
Kevin De Bruyne was very good and inform he was really one of the person's that was behind the success of Manchester city but he has lost form and one really can't tell some say is because of his age and that may be true however it may be some private issues but what ever be the case pep guardiola also needs someone that can support the team the way Kevin De Bruyne did.

I have really missed the Champions League.  Roll Eyes  It has been a really long break... The latest matches were played a month ago and the next ones are starting as of January 21.

I hope we don't see another long break after the end of league phase. Probably there would be another one after the qualification playoffs. Anyway now the most impressive team so far is Liverpool obviously. Winning 6 out of 6 matches is amazing work! There were competitive opponents such as Leverkusen and Real Madrid among those ones too but none of them was able to stand in their way. Do you think they will keep this up as of last 16?

It is still a mystery for their results in the last 16 round later, because the team that has good results in this round, of course still has the opportunity to get different results in the knockout round later. So, even though Liverpool can be said to be perfect so far and the other teams are not so good and even, some favorite teams will also go through the play-off round,  but I believe that they will also get results that may be better in the knockout round later. So yes, there is no complete certainty for them in the further round, but to make predictions it will still be interesting because  we also have to keep doing it to get good choices in betting.

Looking at Real Madrid's current performance I agree with you that we cannot favor Real Madrid in every match. Real Madrid is inconsistent this season but in La Liga their performance is not that bad. They are still consistent in the top ranking with only 2 defeats. But their performance is indeed inconsistent in UCL with 3 wins and 3 defeats. They are in 20th place in UCL and their position can be taken by any team in the ranking below them. The difference in points in the UCL standings is very thin with only 1 or 2 points. But if you look at Real Madrid's mentality I am sure they will qualify for the next round even through the playoffs. I think we have often seen Real Madrid make an extraordinary comeback like in the match against Valencia.
It seems you are still using the initial poor performance of Madrid to judge their current state. They have improved and most of their players are back from injury with stable performance. You can see that in their Laliga matches. Those times that Madrid got those three defeats was when they were still struggling to overcome their injury challenges. Big clubs were the ones who defeated them, Madrid will play with two average clubs.
Those players who went on injury were one of the major challenge that lead to Real Madrid to poor performances towards the beginning of this season and now that some of them are back, it only a matter of time Real Madrid will be fully back to form and any team that they will be meeting and play against, will play them with great fierce, and secondly if Real Madrid wants to perform way better than before the start of the season, They should not over rely on the performance of Kylian Mbappé.

Real Madrid is doing well this season, it's just that their players are injured, which is causing them to lose in the UCL. However, Real Madrid only has two games to qualify for the next round, and I believe they will win both of them. Madrid plays poorly in some games, but when it comes to qualifying or knocking out, Real Madrid is always the best team to win, thus I am confident Madrid will do all necessary to go to the next round alongside the insect club.

The laliga standings that Madrid play as show that Madrid are good even when they are not complete on the pitch. they always believe that there is no big club like them that can defeat them, which is why they usually win trophies because they have a coach who never gives up on his players; he believes in any player in the team. And that is why, as of now, Madrid will always be the best. Let's see how the competition progresses and who qualifies for the tough stages. Liverpool as not lost any ucl match and that is a god record and the two games that remains for them I think they will win all of them. since the team that they will play the rest games with are not too that strong in the competition.

Right, at least now they are starting to improve by winning their matches again. but their work and challenges have not been fully overcome, especially when meeting strong teams in the Champions League. yes it is true that some players have recovered from their injuries and that really helps Carlo Ancelotti, but the problem in the midfield sector has not been fully resolved properly. if we look at the two remaining matches against Madrid later, Madrid should be able to sweep with a win. I am quite sure, after all they still have a chance for that. well, let's just say Madrid qualifies for the next round, Ancelotti has homework to maximize his midfielders. if he is able to overcome their problems, then do not doubt if Madrid plays at their best level of play. but before going there, let's just take the time to follow the rest of the Champions League qualifying matches for all teams.

We all know now that Real Madrid will win their remaining two games. There will probably be no surprises. I definitely expect a win against Salzburg, the Austrian representative. They can score a lot of goals against Salzburg. Then they will go to France and play Brest. I don't think they will get a surprise score against Brest. They will beat them too and probably earn another six points and end the first stage of the Champions League.

Real Madrid don't have much to do in the champions league and maybe that is why they are more focused on the champions league because they know they are to late to perform well in the champions league but things moght be a little different, because the last time they focused on winning the champions league they lost the two so it will be much better if they just focus on the la liga which they currently have a shot because if they want to chase the champions league with there performance then the only place they seems to have a shot is la liga so they should channel all energy there.

And they have more power which will only fit in the la liga and they picked up very late and that is why there winning is not assured in the champions league and they have been doing all they could even to survive in the champions league but looks that they have waited enough time already we did not even expect them to even still have survive this far.

Real Madrid who were struggling in first few rounds of this season now back and having good depth with their quality players are doing good job for having another good season their first two games in 2025 give enough about their performance in coming days despite having injuries and other issues things could be favourable for them to stay in hunt for having good end of their season.

Due to three loses in Champions League chances are not high for them to have automatic entry into next round but still we have them on their best for January where we have too many important games for them tomorrow they are going to have third game of new year against Mallorca in Jeddah for the Spain Super Cup with this we will be having how things are going for them in big coming games.

Honestly I will not underestimate RB Salzburg and Brest, moreover Madrid is still a bit unstable when playing against teams below them. However, because this is the Champions League, at least Ancelotti and his troops understand the atmosphere on the field much better. Talking about the Champions League, the most important thing is the mentality to play until the end, therefore RB Salzburg and Brest must be able to match the mentality of Real Madrid game. That is the only key that other clubs need to prepare when playing against Madrid.
Yep, Brest and Salzburg are indeed not to be underestimated. Because in this prestigious competition, a team that looks weak can give a surprise. But for me, it's just a concern for us who are afraid that Madrid will have difficulty getting full points when their performance is not yet stable.
But if we look back at Madrid's previous performance, actually Mbappe and several other Madrid players have started to have strong chemistry and Mbappe's mentality has started to grow.
So I will think positively if Madrid will easily beat Salzburg and Brest.

~snip~
Madrid we know as the favorite team so far when playing in the UCL, but if we look at their performance this season, we have to admit that they are not in perfect condition like the previous seasons, so although Salzburg and Brest are not teams on the same level with Madrid, but we cannot underestimate them, especially in the last match of the league phase,  In my opinion, the pressure and burden will actually be on Madrid  side later in the match, because indeed their position is still difficult to qualify for the next round.
Currently Salzburg and Brest need to focus on mental and physical preparation to be able to overcome the pressure from Madrid like you say, in addition, the right strategy and the ability to stay calm under pressure will be very important when facing a big team like Madrid.
I am also sure that Madrid will be able to win the remaining two matches, but I think the victory will not be easy for them to get.

Maybe you are a fan of Real Madrid and that's why you think Real Madrid is the favorite team for the Champions League but I think even in the past years Real Madrid had strong competitors and they just won the titles in the past because they have much more money than many other teams in this tournament.
Now even spending money couldn't solve anything for Real Madrid and you can see because of having many injured players they are not in good form at all and I think teams like Liverpool can have more chance than Real Madrid to win the Champions League title.

Come on bro, try to understand again what I said about Madrid, I personally am not a fan from Madrid or Barcelona, but in fact we all know the rulers of the UCL have been so far, even I think most of us here will also include Madrid as one of the favorites to win the UCL although the actualy competition not started yet because their experience and mentality so far,  Last season we could see how difficult Madrid journey was even when they met Manchester City and lost the Santiago Bernabeu first leg, but can you see how they can bounce back in second leg and win the UCL in the end?
Sob, if you think finance is the main factor that can make a team win the UCL, then I think PSG will be able win UCL trophies, but in reality?

In the end, Real Madrid is usually always able to recover at the right time. So I also believe that Real Madrid will eventually succeed in qualifying for the next stage. even though they have to go through the play-off round first. And even though at the start of the UCL this season Real Madrid really looked bad but for now I think they have improved. Mbappe has also started to adapt well here. So winning the remaining two matches in the current phase I don't think will be a big problem for Real Madrid. It's just that if we have a little doubt about this team this season then that's very normal. because we really can't forget that Real Madrid's record this season in the UCL is not very consistent.

In addition to the name KDB, there is also the name Rodri who in my opinion has a big influence on Manchester City's performance, apart from that, overall there is something that has declined from them. I don't know what caused this because it happened so quickly and I was also a little surprised that this also became a prolonged thing. Because from the beginning they had no problems and they looked very fine, but this is football where something happens at any time and cannot be predicted with certainty. Pep also seems to be too late to see this and too late to deal with it.

For the match against Salzburg I am not too worried, Real can win the match easily because as we see in the standings and also their overall performance, Salzburg is far from a team that can make a surprise especially in this match Real as the host. What I am quite worried about is against Brest, I think Real will have a little difficulty, Brest has performed very well in the UCL. But the point is that Ancelotti troops must get 6 points so that the chance to qualify for R16 can be guaranteed even though they have to go through the play-off round.
That match should be an easy win for Madrid because are the best team in the Champions League history, and they have been doing really well some seasons back, but they are struggling to get a perfect consistency this season in the Champions league, but the team had recently improved which is why I am hoping they can easily win because they really need to win their last two matches in order to make it easily to the knockout stage.

It must be like that consider how weak Salzburn is at the bottom table. They have no chance to qualify to the next round.

Talking about the result, i think we may see more than 4 goals to be scored by Madri.  I have no doubt to pick total over more than 3. They're playing at home, and their odds is now 1.11 to win the game. It's pretty obvious Madrid will destroy Salzburg.

I have no reason to doubted it consider Madrid is good in all of stats compared to Salzburg.

It will be tough for Real Madrid to get one of the eight automatic qualification slots for the UCL rounds of sixteen. It will solely be determined by the outcome of the games by other clubs who are on top of Los Blancos on the table. But they can secure it if they win the remaining two games between them and Salzburg and Stade Brest 29. If they are lucky enough, they might make it, if not they would have to go through another qualification round. Real have a good team but the three losses lately in the competition due to injured players really hampered the progress of the club.

What Madrid needs to do is maximize the two remaining games and then hope for some luck from the games above them that will end badly. The result can only be hoped for like that.
Even if they have to go through the Playoffs, I think Madrid will be one of the teams that will be favored to qualify for the knockout round. It's just that after the knockout round starts of course it will require their hard work and must be more focused because their chance is to face the team that is currently in the top 8. The current Champions League system allows big teams to beat each other at the beginning.

Rodri's injury was the main setback that affected Manchester City. Pep Guardiola has a culture of working with few players and this has affected their performance since some key players sustained injuries or started experiencing performance decline. The club seems to have started recovering but we hope this winning run will be consistent.
