Speaking of Real Madrid, I remember listening to a podcast after they lost to Liverpool a few weeks ago. One reason they lost according to some pundits was because many players were injured. Fast forward and it seems like most of them have returned, with Carvajal, Alaba, and Militao out. Not sure if this is up to date since I don't follow them closely, but their available players look good enough to win against Salzburg and Brest. Based on form alone, Salzburg should be easier compared to Brest. They don't play defensively afaik so Madrid can hurt them easily from transition. CMIIW.
I know the Champion's League format changed, but one thing I am a bit sure about is Real Madrid getting into the knock-out stages of the Champion's league. There have been far worse seasons in the recent times when some people believed Real Madrid would at least play in the Europa, but they never did. They always found their way out of the mess Grin

I am not even worried about the current injuries, based on the last few matches, they have been doing good. Mbappé is also finally gaining his confidence, which is something very critical for the team.
Real Madrid has all the attributes to turn things around, they have an experienced manager and quality players. Real Madrid chances of qualifying for the next round are quite high, their next two opponents are relatively easy, so it is highly likely that their journey ahead will go as predicted. Gradually, Real Madrid is now starting to perform consistently again, Ancelotti has managed to overcome the difficult period due to the injury storm that hit his key players.

Advancing to the round of 16 through the play-off route is not a bad thing considering their previous condition, the hope of retaining the trophy is still very high. Mbappe improved performance will make Real Madrid front line even sharper, and Alaba return will make their defense even stronger. The change in match format makes the Champions League even more competitive but guarantees fun entertainment for fans.

Real Madrid at the end can still come out with good performances regardless of their poor performances in the Champions League stage, so if they managed to find their way through the knock out stage, I do think they will become difficult to break, and more formidable they may have seem weak at the start of the season and experience some defeat but Real Madrid can bounce back smartly during tough stages.
Mbappe will pick up form just with time and begin to play as expected.

The remaining two matches left for Real Madrid to play in the champions league should be easy for them regardless of their squad available to feature in this matches. They are going to be playing against a less competitive team, they just need to put all their strength to get a sound victory because this is the champions league and we can’t forget the fact that anything can happen at anytime. With the players out and won’t be available in this match, the remaining available players are enough to give them victory if they use them well, so losing because of squad depth won’t be an excuse in this match.

With Real Madrid's current attacking lineup, it should be possible for Real Madrid to break the deadlock even if the opposing team plays defensively. However, considering the two remaining matches against Salzburg and Brest, I am confident that Real Madrid will still manage to win. Indeed, Brest are in the top eight at the moment, but I think it's pretty clear that Real Madrid are better than Brest.
Agree. Real Madrid should have the chance to win in the next 2 matches. If we consider the quality of the teams, Salzburg and Brest are unlikely to be a serious problem for Real Madrid. Moreover, the points from the next 2 matches are very crucial for Real Madrid, they must play all out to get the full points. Also, Real Madrid seem have no problem anymore with injury, there are only 2 injured players in Real Madrid squad now. It means Real Madrid is ready to play with their best lineup anymore. However, I really expect that Ancelotti won't try to underestimate those teams. Ancelotti must apply the best players in the starting lineup and use the most effective strategy to win the matches.

Even without these players in the field, I think Real Madrid have all it will take to secure three points in these matches because they really need these points in order to make it to the next round of the Champions League without following the process of play-offs and others since they are big teams and they will maintain their standard and avoid being eliminated in the group stage.
Manchester City will also try to win their next two matches so as to be free from group stage disqualification threats; and both Madrid and City need to sign defenders.

Moreover, Brest in the current Ligue 1 standings is also only in the middle of the standings and thus, Brest has no chance of being able to hold Real Madrid's draw. With considerations like that, then I personally really believe Real Madrid maximizes these two remaining matches to win.

Madrid position in the Champions League table this season is really down and even they are struggling to qualify for the playoffs this season, the remaining two games will be very crucial for them, so they have to win the match although it may not guarantee their qualification if they have a worse goal difference than the other teams, but even so, Madrid have better experience and quality than from that two opponents, so I think it's likely that Madrid can win with a big score in the match, but I think at the moment Madrid should focus on improving defense and also their squad, so that they still have a chance to be a trophies contender for the Champions League this season.
Champions is one in which Madrid can actually pride in and so they are actually really experienced in the league going by the records and their achievements in the champions league all this years and so their position now is one in which i can actually not doubt they will not be able to qualify, moreover they at the 20 position on the table of which i know its a poor one but they are actually going to qualify and for me i have a very high optimism about Madrid actually.

Real Madrid are the Champions League leaders because they can play the competition more than any other club and have the most Champions League championships, thus even if Real Madrid performs poorly in the league, they will perform well in the UCL; they do not lose in that competition like others. So even though Madrid is in 18th place in the UCL table, I believe that the remaining three games they will play will be very difficult if they don't win it all. They have already achieved three points against Atalanta and I am sure they will win the remaining one as well so that they will be more better to qualify for the next round in the competition that is when the competition will tough, because this group stage league is just a beginning after it that is when you will see who is good this season. Liverpool are doing good but thing they qualify to the final, that is when I will believe that they are best this season in the ucl. And they defeat real madrid because some of there players are injured, and that is why I see they have th chance to defeat madrid.

Salzburg can still be targeted by Real Madrid for 3 important points that will help them maintain their automatic qualifying position. If they win over Salzburg, then Real Madrid's points will be 12 which will be able to maintain their survival even though they have to fight through the playoff zone.
In order to qualify for the next round even though there are two more matches left, I feel that they can qualify for the last 16 even though Brest is an opponent that can be considered tough considering their achievements during their six matches in the Champions League.
Yes you are right. Salzburg will definitely be targeted by Real Madrid and with the current situation of Real Madrid on the Champions League standings, I’m sure they will be able to comfortably get all three points against Salzburg. And talks about Brest being considered a tough opponent for Real Madrid is unrealistic. No matter the condition Real Madrid may be presently in the Champions League, I believe Real Madrid can comfortably win Brest with even their second team.

Real Madrid must be able to overcome Salzburg first at the Santiago Bernabeu before playing away to Brest. It makes sense, although this is just a personal opinion, but I think Brest was very lucky in the last few games because they got slightly weaker opponents.
This match is very important for Real Madrid to determine their fate in the UCL, so they will play with high spirits to maintain their chances of qualifying through the Play-offs.
yes, RB Salzburg will be the guest team at the Bernabeu and of course in this match Real Madrid will have to really fight hard because of course if for example Real Madrid can't take 3 points from RB Salzburg then it will definitely create disaster for Real Madrid because of course RB Salzburg is the opponent. which is not too strong and if Real Madrid can beat RB Salzburg then it will definitely make Real Madrid's mentality stronger in the next match against Brest. and of course Ancelotti must really prepare everything so that he can make his team even better.
In my opinion, Real Madrid will probably be able to win, because of the bad records that RB Salzburg has had in their last few matches and again they only occasionally win matches in the Champions League, so I think Real Madrid will be able to get the full 3 points in this match, because The opponent they will face is not that strong even though this match is on paper for Real Madrid.
I don't think it's a difficult match on paper. Real Madrid is clearly the favorite. They just shouldn't underestimate Salzburg. If they play against them with contempt, they could suffer an unexpected defeat. They've suffered a defeat like this before. Real Madrid was one of the favorites for the Champions League, but they haven't been able to perform as expected in the Champions League so far. I think they'll definitely win the match against Salzburg.

That was a reason enough to lose to in-form Liverpool because a lot of players were out injured that they had to manage and bring in a player from the academy and also play Valverde as a right back which shows the lack of availability of players so it was difficult for them to be able to compete with Liverpool. Liverpool only made a few chances to their starting lineup and most of their key players were available but For Real Madrid only Rudiger and Mendy are first team defenders which means they will lack stability and also in the attacking side only Mbappe was available and he was paired alongside Diaz and Guler which makes their attack less effective.

This teams shouldn’t be a problem because Vinicius and Rodrygo are back to the team and the attack should be more clinical and no matter the defenders available they should be able to hold the opposing attackers and win the game easily.

Supposedly, with Real Madrid's level being far above RB Salzburg, Real Madrid would still win the match. And even though the injured Real Madrid players haven't returned yet, I don't think it will have much of an impact if it's just against RB Salzburg. Maybe I sound like I'm looking down on Salzburg a little, but I say this not because I'm underestimating but because I see that Real Madrid in their current bad condition can still be better than RB Salzburg who are also having a worse season in the UCL. And in the match against Brest, maybe Real Madrid will have to work harder. But if Real Madrid players play as well as they did before the year-end break then I think Real Madrid will still be the favourites. It's just that after the break that occurred in Laliga I started to have doubts or concerns about whether this team would remain in good condition or not.

If not for their past records in the champions league, I don’t think many will still have hope in them for the champion league title this season. They just need to be able to pass through this first round and qualify for the second round, I know they’ll get their form back and won’t allow what happened in this first round repeat itself again. Moreover, that will be the elimination stage, so they won’t be so weak to allow such defeats that happens to them in the first round of the competition. Football may still be unpredictable but I still have great hope in them and I know they’re going to make it through and we shall see them as that major contender for the league title as we did saw them at the beginning of the season.

The target of winning can certainly be Real Madrid's target. Although the scenario I mentioned is still risky, but one win and one draw is quite reasonable if people judge Real Madrid's performance in the Champions League as not good based on the results received this season.
Against Salzburg and Brest, I believe that the result will be won by Real Madrid.
Salzburg is a team that is not strong enough in the Champions League this season and so far has only won one match in the Champions League so it is quite possible to expect Real Madrid to win when Real Madrid hosts them. Meanwhile, Brest, who is currently in the top seven of the Champions League standings, of course Brest will try not to lose points when hosting Real Madrid even though Brest will also have difficulty getting full points at home.
We all think that madrid have a great chance to win the remaining two matches considering that the opponents they face are weak teams, but we should also remember that the UCL competition has many challenges from each match even when favorite teams facing weak teams.
Madrid usually performed strongly in the UCL and La Liga before with the support of a better and more experienced squad, but this season they are even in a difficult condition in the UCL table and that is shows that they are not perfect, although  in two remaining match madrid still be the favourite to win, but I think they will not be able to win 3 points easily, considering that every team currently has great ambitions to maximize the remaining matches including Salzburg and also Brest later.

I did not make the strong team in the domestic league as a benchmark to predict the results in the Champions League because the Champions League has different challenges with their respective domestic league.
Brest in Ligus 1 is declining after a few weeks of competing above. Salzburg is also the same in Austria.
This time I was more difficult to support that Real Madrid when facing Salzburg and Brest could come out as winners.

One win and one draw is enough for Real Madrid to advance to the next round with the scenario that other teams also want to win.
My worst case scenario, the home game will be won and the away game will be drawn. If it really happens, then 4 points will be obtained and can save Real Madrid's hopes for the next round.
It could also be that in the last two matches, both of them Real Madrid can win.
That scenario is also still risky because it will depend on the results of other teams' matches, to be safer they must ensure 2 wins will be theirs in the last 2 matches they will play. In terms of calculations, that is correct, but once again it is risky, because no one knows the results of the matches they will play. It is quite sad to see a team with the status of defending champion having to fight hard in the last 2 matches, and that does not make them automatically qualify but most likely they have to go through the play-off round to be able to be in the last 16.

The target of winning can certainly be Real Madrid's target. Although the scenario I mentioned is still risky, but one win and one draw is quite reasonable if people judge Real Madrid's performance in the Champions League as not good based on the results received this season.

In my opinion, Real Madrid will probably be able to win, because of the bad records that RB Salzburg has had in their last few matches and again they only occasionally win matches in the Champions League, so I think Real Madrid will be able to get the full 3 points in this match, because The opponent they will face is not that strong even though this match is on paper for Real Madrid.
omo, Real Madrid will be more serious in 2025 with various positive things that they continue to develop, then RB Salzburg can be defeated. Ancelotti's strategy format is increasingly finding common ground so that from what we see Madrid is starting to be able to solve problems that often become obstacles to showing their best performance. Mbappe has also begun to accept his position as a striker, which will be fully supported by vini, Rodrygo, Bellingham and Valverde. When all work together it is very difficult to stop.
