Salzburg can still be targeted by Real Madrid for 3 important points that will help them maintain their automatic qualifying position. If they win over Salzburg, then Real Madrid's points will be 12 which will be able to maintain their survival even though they have to fight through the playoff zone.
In order to qualify for the next round even though there are two more matches left, I feel that they can qualify for the last 16 even though Brest is an opponent that can be considered tough considering their achievements during their six matches in the Champions League.
This match is an easy match for Real madrid because their opponents have weak strength when viewed from their game statistics in the Champions League this season. For real Madrid who have the advantage in terms of strength, Of course, It is an opportunity to get 3 point to improve their position in the standing. This match will take place at the bernabeu stadium which is an Opportunity to get victory in an easy way.

Also, Several Real madrid players who were absent due to injury have now returned to the team. Ancelotti is certainly very ready for this match because he needs a victory And his players must be ready to perform well from the first minute. Salzburg has only been able to achieve 1 victory in the champions League this season, They have only collected 3 points and are now in a bad position in the standing.

As long as Pep Guardiola remains the manager of Manchester City, I will be be very optimistic about their chances. Pep’s ability to devise tactics to counter different opponents remains a critical advantage. PSG inconsistencies in big matches gives Manchester City an added advantage. Despite any ongoing challenges, Manchester City’s experience and tactical brilliance may still give them the upper hand against PSG.
At this point, only PSG’s inconsistency in the Champions League will matters, but if we are to judge their overall performance this season, I think PSG is a bit better than Manchester City because they are doing well in their domestic League.

Manchester City suffered some hard times in their last ten matches in all competitions, and their inconsistency was alarming because it wasn’t normal again for a manager like Pep Guardiola, but his reputation and ability to make things work is the main reason why he never get sacked because I never see any manager with such poor stats and remain in the team without being sacked.

A draw as the final result for the match is my stand because even PSG needs the three points in the match and they will have home advantage.
Right from time champions league has always been an issue when it comes to competing fairly for PSG, they always struggle to have a strong stance even when they had Superstars in the team some years back, so I can pardon them for not showing too much of strength when it comes to the champions League.

But their domestic League have been almost like a birthright to them, however PSG is currently leading the french league with appreciatable amount of points, they similarly have the same traits of dominance as Manchester City, apart from the fact that Manchester City is currently having difficulties in winning games consistent this period, I doubt if Pep Guardiola will be sacked, I believe they will give him enough time to recuperate and come up with something good.

Madrid this season is not in the best condition and form in both La Liga and UCL, so indeed we cannot say that Salzburg will be an easy opponent for them, although so far Salzburg has also shown poor performance and consistency in the UCL, but they will certainly come with high spirits to give resistance or at least aim for a draw at the Santiago Bernabeu later.

Regarding Brest, although they may benefit from weaker opponents in recent matches, Madrid still need to focus and not take it lightly, because after all they have shown great consistency to be in the top 7 at the moment.
Trust me that Real Madrid can provide answers to the concerns of many people in the Champions League this season.
The two other teams that Real Madrid will face will not make Real Madrid lose points.
The same as you that this is not about the team that Real Madrid will face being weak, but it concerns the greatness of Real Madrid.
In the last few seasons in the Champions League, Real Madrid's situation has been in a position that has made many people think that Real Madrid will lose momentum, but it turns out that this is not the case because the Champions League is a big stage.

Real Madrid must be able to overcome Salzburg first at the Santiago Bernabeu before playing away to Brest. It makes sense, although this is just a personal opinion, but I think Brest was very lucky in the last few games because they got slightly weaker opponents.
This match is very important for Real Madrid to determine their fate in the UCL, so they will play with high spirits to maintain their chances of qualifying through the Play-offs.

Real Madrid needs to win their remaining two matches if they really want to have a chance in the champions league next round this season. Their performance has not been so good here and they have recently got back into form in the La Liga, so I feel they should be able to show same action here and see themselves pass through this round of the competition to the next one. The defending champions should be able to defend their cup this season and only if they can make it to the next round they have the chances of doing it. Salzburg may be a weaker team to them to play against but their condition this season makes it very hard for them to just prevail against them. So it will be very hard to confidently give the win to a team.

I agree on the thing that Real Madrid haven't been doing good in the Champions League so far. But I think this can be really misleading for people at the same time. One should never forget how skilled Real Madrid are in the tournament history. Even when they struggle they are able to find a way to be successful here. Remember last season. Their overall performance wasn't that impressive but they won the trophy anyway. Smiley I think they are still a serious title challenger this season as well. They have a great chemistry with Ancelotti too.

No one argues they’re not in the fight for the champions league trophy but what baffles us the most is how their performance is so poor that it may lead to their elimination from the competition. As a fierce team that Real Madrid are, no one will want to believe they will be eliminated from the first round, they all know they will do everything they can to get a win for the team and all move to the next round and continue their fight for the champions league trophy.

Manchester City needs to do something if they want to qualify for the playoffs, and winning against PSG will really help them to qualify, and it will be difficult for them to win at the same time while PSG is also in need of the win to secure a better slot for their playoff qualification, as they are currently seated in the 25th position in the Champions League table.

However, their performances in the Champions League are almost similar, just that PSG in their domestic league is still ahead with a 10-point gap due to a lack of intense competition among the Ligue 1 teams.
Due to Champions League experience, I am expecting PSG to lose or draw to Manchester City because they always disappoint in the Champions League, and considering Pep Guardiola, he will do everything in his power to make it to the round of sixteen to save his team.

I do not trust Manchester City to win because of their recent performance. And I do not trust PSG to win because of their performance in the Champions League competition. I take the real competition is going to be between the coaches actually. Pep and Lewis Enrique. Both of them are really good coaches. both of them have achieved a lot in their career. And I think at the end of the day it is going to come down to who has better top things on that given day and is able to implement the tactics well enough. Of course, there is also a question of players being able to execute the plans. Both of the teams will go for a win in this match. So I am not expecting a draw as well.

I have different view over this. I meant Brest is at the top, but they often fought against the weak teams. It's kinda different when they are gonna face Real Madrid. This pretty much the same situation like when Real Madrid fought Atalanta.

Real Madrid at the midtable, and Atalanta was topping the competition by winning all of ez games, yet they able to destroy Atalanta.

What's the difference then?

In my opinion, the difference lies in the team, Real Madrid has a roster of players worth 10 while Atalanta's roster of players reaches 1 if it goes well, also in terms of expenses and wages.
Obviously the performances will be different, obviously. But that's not a given, football isn't established so the weakest team can beat the strongest team.

On paper, Real Madrid are clearly the better team from all angles but in a match there will be results that may differ from any prediction. Thus, although Real Madrid is the team that will certainly be favored to win, but Real Madrid will also not get an easy victory. When Real Madrid played away against Atalanta, the score was 2-3, and it really shows that the seeded team cannot always win easily. However, considering that is the Champions League where Real Madrid are the best team, then of course Real Madrid will always have a very good chance of beating Brest and advancing to the next round, no doubt I guess.

Real Madrid are only 3 points away from the top 8, and a win in two matches could change the table a lot, but on the other hand, those teams that are in the top also won't want to lose their positions. Maybe even if they can't get into the top 8, I have no doubt that they will make it to the playoffs. The difficulty will just be that they might get a tougher opponent in the early stages.

Plenty of time till the next round, scheduled for 21st/22nd January, but we only have two rounds to go in the first-ever league stage.
I don't expect there to be any major changes in the top 8 (which will progress to the next round without play-offs). Some ay Brest, currently ranked 7th, doesn't belong there and expect them to drop down, but I think they can handle Shakhtar Donetsk in the next round, and even if they lose to Real in the final round, they should still have enough points to go through.
Similar thing with Aston Villa. Their Premier League performance was far from impressive recently, but the remaining UCL games are not the hardest ones (Monaco away and Celtic at home) so they'll probably earn at least 3-4 points which should be enough to stay in the top 8.

LOSC Lille might struggle to hold on to their current 8th place, as they're playing their next game against Liverpool, who are unstoppable lately, but, as the British team is already guaranteed to go through to the next round, they might go easier on the French.

This match is very important for Real Madrid to determine their fate in the UCL, so they will play with high spirits to maintain their chances of qualifying through the Play-offs.
The Santiago Bernabeu is a atmospheric ground where Real Madrid dominate and thrash oppositions, they don't welcome threat and easily defeats oppositions. We have weaker teams in UEFA Champions league and soon enough, they will eliminated from UCL. There are main elite teams in the UCL and competitive race is really tough. This is not supposed to be a debate for Real Madrid because we're acquainted with the historic records of Los Blancos, they're enchanced with potentials and winning games is necessary. Carlo Ancelotti knows what to do and comprehending matches is no difficulty for him, he's experienced and capable of hitting tougher goals with his team.

This year I really doubt that Real Madrid can appear and give a surprise in the UCL League. Carlo Ancelotti hopes that the players can take points at home without any burden. The tough test that came to Real Madrid has become a common thing in the previous season.
If we are football fans, we definitely know that when Real Madrid took the UCL title three times in a row, the struggle was so tough that they were even one step away from being eliminated from the UCL in the final round. semi-final in winning the second UCL title. Can Carlo Ancelotti bring Real Madrid through to the play-off round?

Do you think Real Madrid will succeed in progressing to the next round? Let me read your thoughts.
After Real Madrid was able to beat Atalanta in the 6th week of UCL, it seemed to give them hope to be able to qualify for the next round and most likely Real Madrid's chances of winning 2 more matches are very big, their next opponent is RB Salzburg which will be held on January 23 and this match will be held at the Santiago Bernabéu so Real Madrid will win it and the last match against Brest even though Brest's performance is quite good in UCL this season but I am sure Madrid's performance has been quite good in their meeting later and might make it difficult for Brest.
That's why Real Madrid should be thanked for being able to come back in their very important match. They played the important match with some risk of injury to the players but only because if they lost the point in that match it would be very difficult for them to go to the next round they didn't want to take that risk. But that match at least proved that an injury-free Real Madrid is very formidable and an injury-free Real Madrid XI can win against any team.

As going to the next round is not a very difficult equation for Real Madrid now, if they win the next matches then definitely the next round is guaranteed and then they will try to do well in the Champions League. I want to see Real Madrid at least in the Champions League final this season.

Brest and Salzburg are not big teams so far, but this season we also seen Madrid have lost to teams that are actually below their quality both in La Liga and UCL, so all possibilities can still happen including Madrid's failure to win in the remaining two matches in UCL this season.

For Salsburg, I think Real Madrid wouldn't find it difficult to beat them but considering Brest's performance in the UEFA Champions League competition this season, I think they'll pose a major threat when they host Real Madrid on 29th January for their last game of the group stage. The French club have been one of the dark horses of the competition this season and since that game will be played in their own home ground, I expect them to go all out for a win knowing fully well they have nothing to lose since they're playing against the reigning champions but at the end, I predict a Real Madrid win regardless

In the Champions League, Salzburg will be a bonus opponent for Real Madrid; in fact, they will just give Real Madrid a point. Salzburg has lost five of their previous six Champions League games and won one. However, I don't believe Brest has won against any of the best teams in the Champions League this season; the only top club I can remember of that Brest has met was Barcelona, and they lost at Barcelona's home field. Since Real Madrid is back to their winning ways and isn't in their worst shape, we shouldn't have any doubts about them against Brest.

Furthermore, I think you're not sure Real Madrid can defeat Brest because they've already lost to one French league team. Brest looks like a strong team this season, but they're not as good as Lille. Lille had an incredible season, defeating both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. Regardless of how defensive Brest plays against Real Madrid, I think the favorite team will win the match.

Real Madrid started this season on a poor note which made many question the club's ability to defend the Spanish and European Cup titles but in recent weeks, they've significantly improved their performances in both competitions. As the most successful club in the UEFA Champions League, Real Madrid is currently facing difficulties in progressing to the knockout stages of the competition but having well experienced manager like Carlo Ancelotti as the club manager I think gives them the needed advantage over their opponents in the remaining two group stage games. Do you think Real Madrid will succeed in progressing to the next round? Let me read your thoughts.
Why not? I think Real Madrid will be able to progress to the next round of the Champions League. It doesn’t matter their poor start, there are two clubs that will always have my confidence and that’s Real Madrid and Manchester City. I don't think either Brest or Salzburg will be able to stop Real Madrid from getting maximum points  in each game.
For Salsburg, I think Real Madrid wouldn't find it difficult to beat them but considering Brest's performance in the UEFA Champions League competition this season, I think they'll pose a major threat when they host Real Madrid on 29th January for their last game of the group stage. Real Madrid at the midtable, and Atalanta was topping the competition by winning all of ez games, yet they able to destroy Atalanta.

What's the difference then?
Regarding Brest, why are they currently in seventh place, of course there are two factors that we can get. This team is not yet well-known in the UCL league, so their opponents may have never faced them in the UCL, and Brest themselves appear without any burden. So that's why they can appear more impressive at this time, but if in a local competition where their opponents have often faced each other, they could lose 8 times.

But that only applies to other teams, not to Real Madrid. As you said, the ranking problem is not that much of a problem for Real Madrid. Just look at when Atalanta was on fire and Real Madrid needed points, Real Madrid could win easily in that match. So I am sure that with Real Madrid's current condition, they need points to qualify for the play-off round, so they will not waste the opportunity, it must be remembered that Real Madrid is a team that is used to being under pressure and they can always make a comeback. So I am sure that Brest or Salzburg will not be able to stop Real Madrid's strength and mentality, especially since Ancelotti's team is currently slowly improving in performance and starting to get chemistry between players.

PSG and Man City will certainly try hard to avoid sharing points, because each of them really needs it. A win will give them a path to the play-off round, while a loss will knock them out of the Champions League early. On paper, even though Man City are performing worse than PSG at the moment, personally I feel that victory tends to be on their side. Of course I could be wrong, because the final result of the match could be the opposite. The managerial qualities of Pep Guardiola and Luis Enrique certainly need not be doubted, but their strategy can only work optimally if all key players are available. This match will not take place until the end of January, which means both teams have the opportunity to rediscover their best form

When the group stage started, I thought PSG and City would end up fighting for first place, not to get to the playoffs. If you evaluate how the teams play, I would give the advantage to PSG only because they are better at defense, and they have good games in attack, City are worse at this, and a win over Leicester cannot be indicative because this team is very weak and City could not dominate in this match. So I have doubts that City will be able to beat PSG.

I agree with you. PSG is in a better position of winning City when they clash. City is very weak in defense, midfield and attack, which makes it impossible for them to win PSG. However, I wouldn't blame those that think City can win PSG, because PSG is also not having a good remark in UCL this season. That doesn't change the fact that PSG is stronger than City.
