With the nature of the team right now it would not be a surprise if they clinch their 16th trophy in the Champions League next season because they have the capacity to do so.

Yes, I think the real problem is the defense. As a Fenerbahçe fan, we would love to advance to the next round, but if we play like we did in France, we have no chance, to be honest. The other factor that saved us in this match was our goalkeeper. We can say that the Croatian goalkeeper kept Fenerbahçe in the tournament. He saved 2 or 3 clear chances. Lille won in terms of statistics, but they failed to get the results they should have, you can see how they scored, the first because of Oosterwolde's own goal & the second a goal in the last minutes. Due to the reasons i said, i'm not sure Lille can win in the second leg, Fenerbahce is a team that has strong ambitions, i believe they still have a big chance of beating Lille in the second leg.

A combination of players from different generations is very much needed in a team, senior players can control and advise young players who are still selfish because they want to score goals themselves without caring about other players who are already in the right position to score goals. Why you guys are being concerned about next season Champions League, I am more concerned about the Laliga and the kind of intimidation that will be in the league. I really wished N.Williams joined forces with Jamal and others in Barcelona to give a better competition and resistance to Real Madrid.

As for champions league, I'm not afraid because it's a tournament of home and away(oh no, it has been changed). Hmmm let's see what the new season has for us.

If Barcelona had not bought Dani Olmo, they might have had a chance with Williams. However, after the Olmo transfer, they probably won't be able to provide enough budget for Williams' transfer. It will be a critical year for Barcelona. Real Madrid has created a great squad in recent years. If they can surpass them this year, they will make a big splash.

Dani Olmo was targeted and brought in by Barcelona before there was desire to bring in Nico Williams and of course Dani Olmo transfer was completed first by Barcelona, moreover both of them are also quite great players from Spain.
Forcing the desire to bring in Nico Williams will have very bad impact on Barcelona financial problems to become more complicated to solve, I skeptical of the Nico Williams transfer even though there were some rumors of fundraising.
Basically what Barcelona has to do now is just really save money and optimize performance as best as possible even with only a few players or without overall transfer success.
And for La Liga itself, there are 4 team that will participate in the UCL competition, seeing them in preparation for next season, only Real Madrid is really considered very strong in competing for the championship title.
If there is chance, maybe Atletico Madrid will be the second team from La Liga that can perform well because their preparation is much better than Barcelona.

History is what they do, if it were the case that all the Champions League trophies they won were long before the present, we might be talking about this team's past history. But when they embark on a new season, that's where they succeed and that's where they make history. Real Madrid alone have won 15 Champions League titles, while all other teams' UCL titles combined may not equal 15 Champions League titles. They have done this in the past, they are doing this consistently now and I believe they will continue to improve in the future.

If we only talk about next season's Champions League, I can't put any other team ahead of Real Madrid as they are expected to win their 16th UCL title with the proportion of the team they have formed.

In UCL, Real Madrid very often made a new history or made a new record. You're right, it is not something new for Real Madrid. Wink

The biggest history of Real Madrid is they never got a single defeat in the last 9 UCL finals. This is simply very difficult to follow by other UCL teams. I think this record may never happen with any other teams in the future.

Real Madrid knows how to combine old and young players. They also know when the time to change the generation of the players. Real Madrid board has a good way in regenerating players. Real Madrid already prepares the changes of their squad with young players earlier. Real Madrid even bought the players below 20 years old. But they never changed the squad suddenly, they changed it gradually. So the young players have the time for adaptation and learn from old players.
