It seems that the strongest club in Ligue 1 will have difficulty qualifying for the next stage in the UCL. Because currently PSG has even been shifted from the play-off zone. And PSG must succeed in getting full points in the next match if they want to return to the play-off zone. A team as big as PSG should not have difficulties like this. Because I see that in Ligue 1 PSG is not even defeated at the moment. But at UCL they seem to be different. It is as if the mentality of their players is not as strong as when playing in the domestic league. I think PSG was much better last season when they were still coached by Tuchel for the Champions League. But in Ligue 1 the current PSG coach is very good. It's just that the UCL doesn't seem so good.
PSG are always like this: dominating their domestic league Ligue 1, failing in Champions League. This season looks to be worse than previous seasons if they end the group phase too bad and won't have opportunity to play play-off matches. It will be a first season after many years, PSG have to end their journey in a Champions League season shortly after a group phase.

If they end their journey in Champions League in this season like this, it will be a very big shock. They no longer have Mbappe but even so, they have many good players and can at least go to a first knock out phase. Low quality matches in Ligue 1 affect PSG players when they play in Champions League.

I hadn't seen the stats before your post and only watched the match, but the stats for PSG seem just awful to me. If PSG had a three shot advantage and a 72 to 28 percent possession ratio and PSG ends up losing with those stats, then this team played poorly. In PSG play professional footballers who get huge money and I think to justify them by the fact that they are young is not worth it, because all of them play at a serious enough level and many of them have been playing for more than one year, like Dembele, Donnaruma, Hakimi or Marquinhos, but still PSG does not look like a real team, but rather resembles just a group of players who have to play together.

I partially agree with you. PSG dominated the match with 72% ball possession. Many attacks have created opportunities for this. But even then PSG lost the match in the end. Since PSG lost despite dominating the match, we have to say that PSG played badly.

But PSG's squad lacks experienced players. PSG players are professional footballers and PSG pays their players high wages. However, we have to admit that it is very important to have experienced players and experienced coaches in the Champions League platform. There is no experienced striker in PSG's squad. We can consider Dembele as a veteran. But Dembele is a player who misses a lot of easy chances. And we have seen this since the beginning of Dembele's career.

I think PSG's performance in Champions League is not good even with experienced players. However, we look forward to seeing how PSG perform in their upcoming matches.

Actually i didn't expect some of the results i saw in the champions league this mid week, the overturning of victory happening in the way we least expected is something i didn't expect, having bigger and experienced teams loosing to smaller and almost not experienced champions league teams. Madrid and Arsenal were the worse as i least expected they were going to loose at all a draw would have been a fair consideration but a loss got me wondering as it wasn't expected at all. Barcelona's consistency is such that is deserving of every applaud as they look very promising this season.
Arsenal didn't play badly, they were good enough and maybe they were just unlucky in the match. They will accept the result. But for Madrid, well we are now seeing how other teams finally know how to beat the team that dominates the UCL. Seeing that Milan were not really the favorites in the match, but beyond all predictions it really surprised us.
Anyway, we have to accept it even though we have to lose the bet and maybe not accept or not believe the result. Football always gives surprises, no team is truly invincible.
What happened to arsenal was indeed quite tragic in the match especially since the defeat was actually quite controversial due to the referee's decision to give a penalty which was deemed inappropriate, because indeed Merino's hand was not moving at all, while Yann Sommer who failed to catch the ball and punched Merino head did not get a penalty for arsenal,  Although I am not an arsenal fan, but I see if arsenal was indeed robbed by the referee in the match as said by arteta, but apart from the existing controversy of course arsenal still need to improve their current performance, especially when facing a team team that has a solid defence precisly they have difficulty scoring goals.

This season UCL often presents surprises for us, we can see how teams like munich, madrid, PSG and even manchester city have experienced current defeats from teams weaker than them, so this shows if the change in the UCL format has had a significant impact on the chances of the favourite teams, so far madrid is considered the ruler of Europe and it is very reasonable given their consistency in winning trophies, but this season it seems they are really in bad condition and phase both in the league and UCL.

Considering the financial capacity of PSG, which I think is higher than that of Atletico, Aston Villa and Brugge combined, the result for PSG is very bad and in the end they risk not getting out of the group at all, because PSG could win only the very first match against Girona.
It's just that the UCL doesn't seem so good.

The top spot in the Ligue 1 table is occupied by PSG. However, PSG is not able to perform well on the Champions League platform. PSG have won just one out of 4 Champions League matches. And lost in two matches. PSG lost against Atletico Madrid and Arsenal. And PSG shared the points with PSV.

PSG are now 25th in the points table. And PSG's chances of qualifying for the next round are slim. Because PSG's opponents are very strong in the next matches of the Champions League. PSG will play against Bayern Munich in the next Champions League match. But PSG have chances to win against Salzburg and Stuttgart. Both matches against Bayern Munich and Manchester City are highly likely for PSG to lose. PSG are currently 25th in the table. PSG may be able to qualify for the playoffs. However, PSG will have to perform better in the upcoming matches.

Arsenal is already broken, they have suffered too many defeats in the Champions League and Premier League.
They are also losing the matches they played well in, and the success they want is getting far away from them.
After Inter Milan scored, they completely closed down and played defensively, Arsenal could not open up the defense. They usually have difficulty against such teams. Inter did a good job in defense.
In my opinion Arsenal still has a big chance in UCL they have only experienced 1 defeat from 4 matches, yesterday's defeat was against a big Serie A team and as an away team it is very natural to have difficulty winning the match or at least bringing home 1 point besides their game yesterday was also not bad being 1 goal behind they tried to rise, we see Inter was only able to match Arsenal's game in the first half entering the second half Inter only focused on maintaining the advantage and it must be admitted their defense is very solid. I have often said that Arsenal does not have a number 9 player who is hungry for goals and lacks mentality, that's all they lack at the moment.

Same story all the time but they don't go anywhere. lol. Stop making excuses
Or Arteta has reached the Lag phase and will soon start nose-diving. Time will tell...
Poor performance. This is very embarrassing for a team that wants to win. Martinelli, Trossard, and Havertz are doing nothing. It is not enough, a solution is needed.
Hopefully, they win something this year. Definitely not the Champions League. In the event of another trophy-less season, I'd be glad to see the back of Mikel Arteta.
Inconsistency is the main problem of Arsenal. They will put up a good performance for sometime and when you think they will get a trophy, you start seeing disappointing results. Arsenal is a very patient club so I am sure they will not sack Mikel Arteta if he has a trophyless season. Arsene Wenger was given a long time to prove his worth. The Gunners are still on track to win some trophies this season and with the squad and maybe new January signees they will achieve something this season.

If you're talking about Arsenal's result against Inter, that's wrong. It is not a consistency issue. In fact, they were almost fully dominating the game. They stopped every counterattack from Inter Milan. Sadly, it was just bad luck due to Merino's unintentional handball. I know the handball call was harsh, but they should accept it.

I would rather call Arsenal to have ZERO luck in this game instead of an inconsistent team.

Yes, this is a standard problem for teams that rely on ball control to open up the defense of an opponent who is not trying to take the ball away at all but is only focused on defense. Overall, Arsenal's situation in the Champions League is not that bad - they are confidently in the top 24 and close to the top 8, but I agree about the Premier League, they suffered critical losses there.

Arsenal may have dominated the Premier League last season even though they were eventually overtaken by Man City. But this season they will definitely need to work hard to compete. It is not impossible, they still have a chance, but it all depends on how they deal with their inconsistencies. Including one of the ways, you mentioned regarding bringing new players to Arteta's squad. Their performance in the Champions League, 4 games with 2 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss is not bad. They are now in 12th place, maybe they are not safe but they still have a chance to qualify. If in the remaining games, they can perform better, they can shift some positions above them. Let's see how Munich, Milan, PSG, and Madrid are now even below Arsenal.
With the new format it is difficult to understand how it will work, earlier it was assumed that it will be an easier format for strong teams, because having more games they will have more opportunities to take a higher place in the table, but now we see that this is not the case, there are a lot of unexpected results, as you mentioned a lot of famous teams at the bottom of the table, PSG is in 25th place, Leipzig still has 0 points, so the new format may not be so good for strong teams.

Do we already know how does the knowckout phase for 9-24 works?
Teams finishing the league phase at 9th to 16th place will be seeded and will face teams ranked 17th to 24th.
The draw will take place on January 31. The first legs will be hosted by unseeded teams on February 11-12 and the second legs will be hosted by seeded teams on February 18-19.

Arsenal started this season with a lot of hope that they will win Premier League title and go far in Champions League. They actually began it not too bad but recent weeks, they lost many points in Premier League and in Champions League, they did not have good performances so far too. Inter Milan are playing more stable than Arsenal and in experience, it's surely that Inter Milan are more experienced than Arsenal in recent years. Because they won two Scudetto and had one Champions League final match.

The goal scored by Hakan Calhanoglu in the 45+3 minute added to Arsenal's misery, previously they lost to Newcastle in the EPL. Arsenal are now stuck in 12th position after only being able to achieve 2 wins, one draw and one loss. Next Arsenal will face three tough games, vs Chelsea and Nottingham forest (EPL) and Sporting Cp in UCL. Arsenal's performance decline was significant, although Arteta said he was happy with the way the team played, but the results were not as expected. Maybe Sporting CP will add to Arsenal misery in match 5 because they just managed to beat Manchester City with a score of 4-1.

After seeing Liverpool getting better this season, we were witnessed by Arsenal who continued to decline slowly and that made me feel strange even though Arteta always competed very well even when dealing with Man City, but if thought it was longer and more comprehensive, maybe Indeed, at some time the team experienced a decline in performance in its journey, this is a natural circulation and up and down performance is also very reasonable, but if they continue to decline, it indicates something that is very questioned by the team, there may be internal problems.

This week champions league matches gave us a lot of surprises where many big teams lost points and had to fight hard in the next match, girona and madrid lost to their opponents while barcelona and atletico were still able to win to secure their position in the standings, so far Barcelona has been the most consistent Spanish team in the champions league so I think their chances of qualifying for the next round are very large at the moment, Barcelona has shown a very solid performance this season, the big win against Belgrade  of course is proof of the depth of the squad and the effective strategy they have at the moment, btw the big win over Belgrade yesterday has extended the winning record with a score of 4+ goals in 3 consecutive European matches for the first time since the 1959-60 season

Actually i didn't expect some of the results i saw in the champions league this mid week, the overturning of victory happening in the way we least expected is something i didn't expect, having bigger and experienced teams loosing to smaller and almost not experienced champions league teams. I think last night's matches were more enjoyable. The matches I watched tonight were not exciting.

Barcelona won 5-2. I didn't watch this match, maybe it was an enjoyable match.

Feyenoord lost 3-1, a very bad result for Feyenoord, they lost 3 points at home. Salzburg got their first win.

Inter beat Arsenal 1-0 with a penalty goal from Hakan Çalhanoğlu.
As for Arsenal, I knew things will not be easy for them but did not really expect a defeat. I think it's time for Arterta to change playing pattern because many clubs have studied the way they play and they hardly score now.  Perhaps, they should go back to old Arsenal one touch fast game football. Their pattern last two season was much better than present pattern. His experiment aren't working anymore.
Arterta is a good coach and his pattern is working for him, is just that you shouldn't expect to win all the time or the players should be in their peak form all the time. Inter has a good defense, and if not for that penalty, the match would have ended in a draw. I was expecting Inter to score more goals but they couldn't, because Arsenal didn't allow them. Arsenal is passing through hard times currently, and they will definitely overcome it soon. If you look at Arsenal in the past two seasons, there is always a period that they will face difficulties, I think this is it.

Same story all the time but they don't go anywhere. lol. Stop making excuses

Three losses in a row is not a good result for a team like Manchester City but this is not the end of the world for the club. They are still second in the Premier League and can qualify for the next round of the UCL competition. Sometimes clubs experience some backwardness and they will still bounce back. But if this type of poor performance continues, it might indicate that Pep Guadiola's time might be ending. City will have to win the game against Brighton to show that they are back on track.

The absence of KDB and Rodri, who are used as attack rhythm setters, still has a big impact even though now there is still Kovavic who is used as an option but because the characteristics and characteristics of the players are different where KSB and Rodri who are focused on attack are different from Kovavic who leads more to defense making Mamchester City overwhelmed in the attack scheme they created.

The truth of the matter is that neither of these kovacic or Gundogan can replace Rodri in the Manchester city team, though they look pleasing when watching them just as you rightfully said, but that defensive and attacking stability that Rodri  brings to the team is what Manchester city are seriously lacking now, and that is why they really need him back in order for things to go back to normal.
Then as for Kevin De Bruyne, though he is a key player at Manchester city, but I don't think he is seriously missed like Rodri in this team due to his age.
