Diego Simeone has been managing Athletico Madrid for nearly 700 or so games if I am not wrong, which is quite a lot and something we do not see that often anymore, because most teams just change their managers like they are changing a sock so we do not get to see this many teams with the same manager all that often.

I think Atalanta had the same thing as well and they have seen the results of that too. In the end, I believe that we are going to end up with something different eventually, because Diego Simeone can't keep on managing Athletico Madrid for another 10 seasons, eventually something will change. Plus he is the highest paid manager in the world, that will not be fine with the team eventually, they may one day say lets fire him, get someone cheaper and use that money to get better players.
I have been expecting Diego Simone to retire or leave Atletico Madrid, but the management seems well satisfied with his service and decides to leave him despite spending so many years in the club without Champions League trophy or Laliga. The team is not tough as they used to be, they qualified for another Champions League again but always failed along the line, to me, he is like Arsene Wenger of Arsenal that year but Wenger developed Arsenal with his economy knowledge and help the team to accumulate some money to get their stadium and made the name they have today; even though he also didn’t win the Champions League, he happens to be the only manager in the history of Premier League to win the League unbeaten.
For the betterment of Atletico Madrid, Semione should be replaced with young manager with good coaching skills.

If we are talking about Atletico Madrid's chance to win a Champions League title, then I don't think it will happen in the near future.  Smiley
I agree with your opinion that Atlético Madrid has no such a chance to win the UEFA Champions league title in the near future Atlético Madrid no longer has the players they used to have, that is, the players who had the competence to win the Uefa Champions League. Because of this, these people no longer have the same passion that they used to have, and this is why people do not include Atlatico Madrid in the list of those who are capable of winning the UEFA Champions League. Diego Semione's tactics are no longer built up in the same way, so that the player can perform a best game. So, due to these reasons, I think that the chances of Atlético Madrid are very low to win the UEFA Champions League in these days.
I do not agree with this statement, that Athletico Madrid which have been in the Champions league and in the Lalliga every season doesn't have a chance of winning the Champions league any time soon, the reasons why I don't accept this is because they have a coach and a team that feel they are okay with the performances of the team, but by the time they start, and  they get a coach like Guardiola who never wants failure in his life.He will reshape everything  that the present squad has,so that he can get what he wants, which is winning tittles.

Let us remember that the format of the new Champions League has been changed, passing the first phase of the league would seem to be easier, if I am not mistaken out of 36 teams in the standings 24 go through to the next phase, the top 8 instead qualify directly to the round of 16, the other 16 instead compete in a playoff. So both Atalanta and Leverkusen may have a chance to go far in this new Champions League.
The UEFA Champions League have made quite important changes which I believe will affects the setting of the game fixture and the sectioned rounds. The UEFA Champions League title is simply one of the toughest tournaments in the football world Europe. It comes with amazing ideas and we've watched how everything have played out. Everything changing and the qualifying clubs will swiftly become straight.

Obviously I did not mean that with the new format, the Champions League has become easier, but simply that with the new format everyone will have a chance to get through the first phase of the tournament and make it to the round of 16, the new format for me has beautified the competition.

A coach staying very long in a team is good  but there ought to be a limit that will based on the achievements of the coach and the progress they gave made as well. To me a good coach should be able to prove himself within a period of five years. Diego Semeone is a good coach no doubt, but the results he has achieved in Atletico Madrid, in my opinion, is less than expectations and the name of Atletico Madrid. I remember he has lost Champions league final about twice which is 2014 and 2016. This to me is not a good one and if I were to be the management of the club, I would have tried another coach.

If we are talking about Atletico Madrid's chance to win a Champions League title, then I don't think it will happen in the near future.  Smiley  While Real Madrid is getting Mbappe and there is a Manchester City fact too, it is really not easy to reach the title. Besides Atletico Madrid's lowest expectation in this tournament isn't winning the title. Even a quarter finals qualification is seen as good achievement.

The board are really contented with the way Simeone is managing the team. They even extended his contract not much time ago. Would he like to achieve a Champions League title? Who wouldn't?  Grin  But Atletico Madrid need to make a huge improvement to reach even the finale once again (The last time they did it was the 2015/2016 season).

It won’t happen anytime so because even last season I did not count them among those that will win the champions league, and they are not different from other clubs that are not serious, the only people I see are not more than Manchester city Real Madrid, those are the potential winners of the champions league that I know for now because we won the premier league and the champions league all together before this season that just ended, Real Madrid did the same the thing by also winning but the la Liga and the champions league so it is a very rare thing to do but they still accomplished so with all this do you still think that  Atletico Madrid Have a Chance to win the champions league. If Atletico Madrid continue to have the mindset of even if they don’t make it to the finals they have archived something instead of doing everything at all cost to also become the champions and they are busy limiting their self. With such comment they won’t go far because they don’t look like people that have the intention of winning the champions league. If they want to make it to the finals then they have serious work to do on their self.

Atletico Madrid played in the 2014 and 2016 final of the UEFA Champions League competition which was the close to times they almost won the the UEFA Champions League title but unfortunately for them, it was their biggest city rivals Real Madrid that they had to face in those finals of which they were beaten. Currently, I don't think they have the squad that's strong enough to challenge for the title and despite their struggles in recent seasons they've always decided to stick with their manager Diego Simeone.
With the club under Diego Simeone, I don't think they are going to be a major contender for the UEFA Champions League competition anytime soon because it's still the same tactical approaches he's adopted in recent years that he'll continue to maintain.

On the issue of ATM losing the champions League finals to Real Madrid in 2014 and 2016, Diego Simeone once said if not for C Ronaldo his team would have won two champions league but that been said, I think football is unpredictable yes ATM have had their best moments yet they were unlucky to win the champions league finals but that doesn't mean their style of play  is not good to win the trophy or their coach can't lead them to the finals no I think the current squad in the team can make it to the finals and can win the trophy if they improve in their performance or get lucky to defeat their opponents to get to the finals and end up defeating the team they play against in the finals. Last season Dortmund was in poor form they couldn't finish in the top4 in their league but they managed to get to the final of the champions league despite struggling in the league, they had the opportunity of winning the champions league if they had converted their chances to scoring goals so I think Diego Simeone still has what it takes to take to his team to lifting the champions league trophy sooner than we can imagine even without having to change his playing tactics.

I'm not so skeptical about Atlético's chances, as we see with a successful draw even Dortmund can reach the final. Or if you look back, even Chelsea can take the title (at the same time taking only 4th place with 67 points in the Premier League). Many teams have a chance, but in the case of Atlético, first of all, it is not clear to me how long Simeone plans to stay there. It is obvious that the team has been deteriorating for several seasons in a row. Does he have any ideas to change something? He's been coaching Atlético for so long that I don't know how to answer this question.

Plus he is the highest paid manager in the world, that will not be fine with the team eventually, they may one day say lets fire him, get someone cheaper and use that money to get better players.

But, when Diego Simeone always manages to make the team able to compete either in the upper zone or at the highest level, then maybe Atletico are also reluctant to fire him. Because anyway, dismissal usually occurs when the coach and the board or with the club owner the relationship is no longer harmonious or there is a dispute that occurs, then it is very possible to dismiss. But, when the coach is always successful and, the coach himself decides to leave then that can also happen, recently for example about Klopp who left Liverpool on the grounds that he had run out of energy. But, if Diego Simeone is still capable of being Atletico's manager, and Atletico also feel good, then I'm sure they will stay but indeed, in the future about the change will certainly happen.

I'm also curious why Diego Simeone wasn't fired at Atletico Madrid. What do they expect from Diego Simeone. If we look at the history of Atletico Madrid while Diego Simeone was coach, they did not win many titles. If I'm not mistaken, while Diego Simeone was coaching ATM, he was only able to win 2 LaLiga champions, 2 European champions, 1 Copa Del Rey, 1 Super Cup, 2 UEFA Super Cups and the Audi Cup.
Is there no other coach who suits Atletico Madrid's style of play.

But Diego Simeone is also not a bad coach in his career compared to many other coaches. I think he's a standard coach. But Atletico Madrid must have big dreams of winning the UEFA Champions League. ATM has not been able to win the UEFA Champions League. Maybe Pep Guardiola is one step faster than him who can make Manchester City feel the UCL.

Simeone has been at Atletico Madrid for quite a long time, although they have been able to maintain their consistency in competing at the top of La Liga, but to win the Champions League of course their chances are very small, so far we can see how their inconsistent performance in the Champions League so far even though they have performed well in La Liga, in my opinion,  Although Atletico was able to perform quite well in the league, they seem to have to be able to improve the quality of the squad they have, besides that it is time for Atletico to reconsider Simeone performance which has been relatively stagnant in lifting Atletico Madrid performance, indeed Atletico performance under Simeone care is quite good but does not make Atletico can be a challenger for the Champions League title so far.

The tactics and also Atletico game scheme applied by Simeone, of course, have been memorized by their rival team teams who already have anticipation to beat Atletico, so far we may not find another team that often relies on physicality and also hard play that is better than Atletico so far.

The hope is that, with Mbappe, Real Madrid will at least be able to defend two trophies, namely the Champions League and La Liga next season. There is no doubt about Mbappe quality, he is one of the best at the moment. Joining Real Madrid will give him better support than he ever got at PSG. Real Madrid front line will be sharper, Mbappe will be plotted as a center forward, even though it seems forced. Sure enough, last season without Mbappe in the squad, Real Madrid was able to win three trophies, with Mbappe they have the opportunity to win more. Florentino Perez succeeded in building the Los Galacticos era volume three, Ancelotti was very lucky because he had the best players in his squad.
Their main target is definitely to defend the title, especially the Champions League title they won this season. That is a very realistic target for them considering they have a very good squad now, especially by bringing in Mbappe, it complements their shortcomings on the front line.
Mbappe, who during his time at Paris Sait Germain has not yet tasted a title, will certainly aim for the Champions League title with Real Madrid. Maybe it's true that it won't be easy, but if we compare the chances of him getting the Champions League title with Real Madrid, his chances are much greater than the chances of winning the Champions League with Paris Saint Germain.
He can complete that next season because Real Madrid is now in the first place on the list which in my opinion has a big chance of winning the Champions League next season.
Real Madrid transforms into an explosive offensive force with Mbappe. They were already excellent, but now they're unstoppable. Nobody can touch them, believe me.

Soccer's a funny game. Sometimes you cannot simply assume you will win given you have the best players. Real Madrid, they won a bunch lately. They are not prone to become comfy. They had to maintain that winning mindset.

Yes, it will be an outstanding season. Real Madrid is the favorite, no doubt. But its not a done deal. On the field they have to prove it. And I'll be watching, folks.

Since the 2017/2018 season, there has not been a team that is as capable as Real Madrid. No team has been able to return to winning the UCL in a row. Only Bayern Munich and Ajax in the year have been going on for a long time. Bayern Munich winning in 1974, 1975, 1976 and Ajax winning in 1971, 1972, 1973.

Of course, with the arrival of stars like Mbappe and Endrick, I think Ancelotti is trying to defend the UCL Title. With a good financial condition, Madrid has a great opportunity to build a stronger team for next season.

Real Madrid remain the most favourable club on the champions League because every season always turn out good for them because following the previous champions Leagues you will see that even if real Madrid did not win but they always go very far, that's the reason I always see them as a big threat to any other clubs on the champions League, and also they will be more stronger on this season champions if Mbappe joined them because considering the fact that Mbappe was the major player that pushed PSG to achieved the trophies they did during his stay on PSG you would agree with me that there would be a game changer for real Madrid on this champions league season because having Mbappe and Vinicus junior on the same club is already certain of great achievement.

But of course I think Simeone has done his job well and of course I think Atletico Madrid only needs to bring in good players, so I believe Atletico Madrid has the potential to advance to the final and of course it is not impossible to become champions. upcoming season.
Yes, let's see what happens with Atletico Madrid.

So far Diego Simeone can be good at bringing Atletico Madrid to the Champions League, but in my opinion they are just not too lucky to win the Champions League. Several times they succeeded in being in the final, but they had to fail to become champions. Simeone can also be said to be quite consistent in maintaining Atletico Madrid's performance, even though they experienced several declines, but in my opinion their decline was a normal decline and not too significant.

Atletico Madrid have trusted Diego Simeone for a very long time, they are not too hasty in making the decision to fire Diego Simeone and sign a new coach. It seems like they also don't want to take risks, because even if they change their coach, it doesn't guarantee that they will be able to perform better or maybe they will even perform worse. Atletico Madrid does not want to be careless in making decisions.
Diego Simeone currently as the longest serving manager in this competition because he have been in charge of Atletico Madrid since 2011 and in Champion League with Simeone Atletico Madrid can able to advances to the final matches 3 times but unfortunately Atletico Madrid was unable to gets the trophies because they were lost from those matches and last season Atletico Madrid can able to advances to the quarterfinal stages but at that time they were lost from Dortmund with final aggregate 5-4 and about Atletico Madrid chances for next season i think it's hard to predicted because next season hasn't starting yet but i think they have equal chances with other participant teams

Because Atletico Madrid was never gets Champion League trophy i personally didn't considers them as strong candidates for the champion of next season and why i says that because Atletico Madrid performance in the last 5 season in this competition also is not quite good because their highest achievement is only quarterfinal and because next season Champion League will have new format then Atletico Madrid chances to qualified to the next round will be more hard because they will have more matches against big teams and it won't be easy to finish at top 8 and automatically qualified to round of 16

When a team succeeds in winning any trophy which happens to be a major one, it's expected of the team to do their best in other to retain that trophy again. I'm football, it's believed that it's easier to win a trophy than to retain it because after winning a trophy, every other opponents you'll face in your quest to retain it will definitely know more about the tactics that helped you win which in response will do anything possible to stop you from conquering again.

Since the 2017/2018 season, there has not been a team that is as capable as Real Madrid. No team has been able to return to winning the UCL in a row. Madrid has a great opportunity to defend the Champions League trophy next season, Ancelotti fleet has the complete attributes to make it happen, even Los Blancos has the potential to create an unbeaten record throughout the season. Not only in the Champions League but also in La Liga and in other competitions. Zidane managed to lead Madrid to win the trophy three times in a row, Ancelotti has the opportunity to repeat this in the next two seasons.

Meanwhile, next season favorite teams don't seem to be much different from the previous season, where Madrid was at the top of the list, followed by City and Bayern. I think Dortmund, Arsenal, Inter and several other teams are also worth considering, as well as the surprises that might be created by newcomers like Leverkusen. However, in terms of strength, City is probably the closest to Madrid at the moment.

Ancelotti is the manager who has collected the most Champions League trophies at the moment, it has been proven that his magic is still very effective if he manages the right club like Madrid. We'll see if Ancelotti can do it again next season with a star studded squad.

When there is money, the club will become successful and that is what Real Madrid is using to oppress other European clubs, because they can buy any player that they want without a problem which is an additional advantage. Unlike Barcelona that is currently facing some financial challenges and cannot sign a new player to add to the team.

The probability of Real Madrid winning the defending the title next season is very high due to Mbappe and Endrick who are now in the club to strengthen and close whatever loop hole the club has. Ancelotti will be happy to continue winning UCL till he retires from Real Madrid.

Of course, Mbappe has joined the right team, because by joining Real Madrid there is a big opportunity for him to win a title that he has not achieved before. With Real Madrid being a strong and good squad, of course this will enable him to win the title he wants, what's more, he himself is a player who has good qualities in his role, of course Mbappe will help Real Madrid's attack line become more aggressive. Their chances of dominating the Champions League can already be seen, but even in football anything can happen and maybe there will be another team that can match Real Madrid, but I think that's unlikely.

It's true, if you compare the chances of winning the Champions League title, of course Real Madrid has a bigger chance than Paris Saint Germain. because the quality is different based on these two squads, and with Mbappe joining Real Madrid, of course that could give him a big chance to win the title. he just has to play well by displaying his talent to be able to help Real Madrid's attack as well as to make himself remembered at Real Madrid.
