Atletico madrid is still on their capacity to "exist", not on "win" the champion league. Diego simeone, as atletico madrid's coach never had a great expectation for his club in UCL; therefore, even though they were not favorite to do this, atletico madrid still has little opportunity to win UCL.

Although the officials of Atletico madrid were always improving their teams, their efforts were pointless since the gamplay and strategy of the simeone remain the same. When atletico madrid advanced to any level in the champion league, such quarter or semi finals, ATM officials feel good enough.

With the present team, Atletico Madrid lacks capacity to win the UCL. Atletico madrid made it to final at 15/16, really lucky. So in essence, all things considered, it makes little difference how much atletico madrid improves; uninspiring strategy and gameplay by Simeone will prevent them from winning UCL.

What you say is true, I also pay attention to Atletico Madrid every time they enter the UCL and being able to reach the quarter finals is nothing surprising anymore. Their performance remains like that, the same and no different from the previous season. It's as if Simeone hasn't developed this club well, the strategy is monotonous, while in terms of player capacity more or less changing with new ones, the level of effectiveness is still not increasing sharply. Atletico Madrid seems to be stagnant or really needs a new coach who has different ambitions and ideas from Simeone. Honestly if Atletico Madrid wants to appear to be developing, maybe it's time to think about a new, more modern manager with a variety of strategies.

Domestic clubs especially rivals Madrid, continue to develop, Barcelona is also trying to cover all its shortcomings, even with limited players and limited funds, but there are always different things every season and with the arrival of Girona they also starting to be considered worthy competitors next season. Therefore if Atletico Madrid does not upgrade its players and coaches next season this club could be left behind by its rivals.

yes but you are only talking about Spanish teams, remember that Europe is big and that the big teams are not always the best or win the most, there are many teams that are growing in Europe, think that Leverkusen or Atalanta are not they can reach the champion's quarterfinals, well the answer for me is definitely yes considering that even teams like Bologna can do really badly I would be very careful about Italy this year too, we'll see some good ones that's for sure

If we are talking about Atletico Madrid's chance to win a Champions League title, then I don't think it will happen in the near future.  Smiley  While Real Madrid is getting Mbappe and there is a Manchester City fact too, it is really not easy to reach the title. The board are really contented with the way Simeone is managing the team. They even extended his contract not much time ago. Would he like to achieve a Champions League title? Who wouldn't?  Grin  But Atletico Madrid need to make a huge improvement to reach even the finale once again (The last time they did it was the 2015/2016 season).

Of course, Mbappe has joined the right team, because by joining Real Madrid there is a big opportunity for him to win a title that he has not achieved before. With Real Madrid being a strong and good squad, of course this will enable him to win the title he wants, what's more, he himself is a player who has good qualities in his role, of course Mbappe will help Real Madrid's attack line become more aggressive. Their chances of dominating the Champions League can already be seen, but even in football anything can happen and maybe there will be another team that can match Real Madrid, but I think that's unlikely.
Many people have been saying that for a long time, if Kylian Mbappe was at Real Madrid, he was at the right club that met his playing quality standards because at PSG he was just wasting his hidden talent because PSG is not a club capable of awarding prestigious titles and PSG's success so far cannot be separated from Mbappe's big contribution to the club so I think PSG will have difficulty achieving success again if Mbappe is gone and I'm not sure that in the Champions League next season PSG can reach the quarter-finals like last season since Mbappe is still at the club PSG's chances of winning the Champions League title if there is no Mbappe at the club

Mbappe at Real Madrid will make Real Madrid's performance sharper and the opportunity to win the Champions League title is wide open because Real Madrid's attack line will be stronger, but it's true, as you said, anything can happen because we also can't be sure what next season will be like. Either Real Madrid's mainstay squad will be in good health and not suffer any injuries during the competition because if one of Real Madrid's mainstay players is injured it will affect their performance and it will also affect their chances of winning again.
I'm just praying the transfer of Mbape to Madrid shouldnt cause any problem among the players at Madrid because Mbape is known for his pride and arrogance, and mark of respect,he might get to Madrid and start feeling that he is more superior to other players in the team.I thank God for Bellingham who is now a candidate for the Ballon D'or,and he might win it.I believe the main reason why Mbape is even moving there is because he wants to win the Ballon'Or,but if he gets to Madrid and doesn't perform the way that he will be eligible, then he will still miss it.
Mbappe's time at PSG was uncontrolled and arrogant due to a lot of pressure. Many media only report on Mbappe from the bad side even though we all know he is like that because of a lot of pressure from the club owner. But now that he is free from this pressure after joining Real Madrid, he admits that he is very happy to finally be able to join Real Madrid and be free from the shackles of PSG. He will not disappoint Perez and Real Madrid, he will do his best for Real Madrid because Real Madrid is his childhood dream team. So, as you say, he is worried that he will cause problems at Real Madrid, this seems unlikely to happen, especially because he is old enough to control his emotions.

It cannot be denied that another reason he moved to Real Madrid was that he wanted to win lots of trophies and the pinnacle of his individual achievement was the Ballon D'or, and that was very natural because he was a talented young man. My prediction is that Mbappe will quickly adapt to Real Madrid's game because he fits very well into coach Ancelotti's scheme with players who have high speed.

If you watch their game very well last season, you will know that their coach is doing well despite he didn't lead his team to win the UEFA league trophy, but the team beat so many top teams that made people to rate their coach among the best coaches in the UEFA champions league competition.

I came to discovered that the more the president allow the coach to stay long in the team, give the players more impact to embrace opportunity to perform well to take the team to her next level, which is what Atheletico Madrid president did to allow their coach to continue as their coach.
Quote
I think Atalanta had the same thing as well and they have seen the results of that too.
The result the Atalanta president saw in the UEFA Europa league final game, for the Atalanta coach to lead the team to lift the trophy with many goals made others teams president to learn to be patience with their coaches because Atalanta coach has spend a long seasons with the team before he succeeded to lift the trophy.

For the betterment of Atletico Madrid, Semione should be replaced with young manager with good coaching skills.
Considering how long he manages Atletico Madrid, some of their systems should be designed around Simeone so replacing him would take time. I wonder if the fans want that though. By fans, I mean those who travel and buy tickets to watch them play, not social media darlings who speak about "we are in a crisis" whenever their favorite team loses. Most of the time they're farming for views with their terrible analysis of a match.

Aiming for trophies is a good thing, especially if it's a CL trophy. The question is whether replacing a coach will magically answer that or not (probably not).

I think Atalanta had the same thing as well and they have seen the results of that too. In the end, I believe that we are going to end up with something different eventually, because Diego Simeone can't keep on managing Athletico Madrid for another 10 seasons, eventually something will change. Plus he is the highest paid manager in the world, that will not be fine with the team eventually, they may one day say lets fire him, get someone cheaper and use that money to get better players.
Spain is a very tough season and it takes only the strong to survive here in La Liga. Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have been the major club to make it to the UEFA Champions League without challenges because they're equipped with the basic necessities of fierce strength, always ready to make good runs for major titles.

Diego Simeone is the main tough coach that handed Atlético Madrid with confident, he's always upfront and solved the major barrier on their way. He's been with the club for years and have always been the major pillar standing behind the success of the club, he do deserves some accoaldes.

I have been expecting Diego Simone to retire or leave Atletico Madrid, but the management seems well satisfied with his service and decides to leave him despite spending so many years in the club without Champions League trophy or Laliga. The team is not tough as they used to be, they qualified for another Champions League again but always failed along the line, to me, he is like Arsene Wenger of Arsenal that year but Wenger developed Arsenal with his economy knowledge and help the team to accumulate some money to get their stadium and made the name they have today; even though he also didn’t win the Champions League, he happens to be the only manager in the history of Premier League to win the League unbeaten.
For the betterment of Atletico Madrid, Semione should be replaced with young manager with good coaching skills.

If we are talking about Atletico Madrid's chance to win a Champions League title, then I don't think it will happen in the near future.  Smiley
I agree with your opinion that Atlético Madrid has no such a chance to win the UEFA Champions league title in the near future Atlético Madrid no longer has the players they used to have, that is, the players who had the competence to win the Uefa Champions League. Because of this, these people no longer have the same passion that they used to have, and this is why people do not include Atlatico Madrid in the list of those who are capable of winning the UEFA Champions League. Diego Semione's tactics are no longer built up in the same way, so that the player can perform a best game. So, due to these reasons, I think that the chances of Atlético Madrid are very low to win the UEFA Champions League in these days.
I do not agree with this statement, that Athletico Madrid which have been in the Champions league and in the Lalliga every season doesn't have a chance of winning the Champions league any time soon, the reasons why I don't accept this is because they have a coach and a team that feel they are okay with the performances of the team, but by the time they start, and  they get a coach like Guardiola who never wants failure in his life.He will reshape everything  that the present squad has,so that he can get what he wants, which is winning tittles.

Let us remember that the format of the new Champions League has been changed, passing the first phase of the league would seem to be easier, if I am not mistaken out of 36 teams in the standings 24 go through to the next phase, the top 8 instead qualify directly to the round of 16, the other 16 instead compete in a playoff. So both Atalanta and Leverkusen may have a chance to go far in this new Champions League.
The UEFA Champions League have made quite important changes which I believe will affects the setting of the game fixture and the sectioned rounds. The UEFA Champions League title is simply one of the toughest tournaments in the football world Europe. It comes with amazing ideas and we've watched how everything have played out. Everything changing and the qualifying clubs will swiftly become straight.

Obviously I did not mean that with the new format, the Champions League has become easier, but simply that with the new format everyone will have a chance to get through the first phase of the tournament and make it to the round of 16, the new format for me has beautified the competition.

A coach staying very long in a team is good  but there ought to be a limit that will based on the achievements of the coach and the progress they gave made as well. To me a good coach should be able to prove himself within a period of five years. Diego Semeone is a good coach no doubt, but the results he has achieved in Atletico Madrid, in my opinion, is less than expectations and the name of Atletico Madrid. I remember he has lost Champions league final about twice which is 2014 and 2016. This to me is not a good one and if I were to be the management of the club, I would have tried another coach.

Besides Atletico Madrid's lowest expectation in this tournament isn't winning the title. Even a quarter finals qualification is seen as good achievement.

The board are really contented with the way Simeone is managing the team. They even extended his contract not much time ago. Would he like to achieve a Champions League title? It won’t happen anytime so because even last season I did not count them among those that will win the champions league, and they are not different from other clubs that are not serious, the only people I see are not more than Manchester city Real Madrid, those are the potential winners of the champions league that I know for now because we won the premier league and the champions league all together before this season that just ended, Real Madrid did the same the thing by also winning but the la Liga and the champions league so it is a very rare thing to do but they still accomplished so with all this do you still think that  Atletico Madrid Have a Chance to win the champions league. If Atletico Madrid continue to have the mindset of even if they don’t make it to the finals they have archived something instead of doing everything at all cost to also become the champions and they are busy limiting their self. With such comment they won’t go far because they don’t look like people that have the intention of winning the champions league. If they want to make it to the finals then they have serious work to do on their self.

Atletico Madrid played in the 2014 and 2016 final of the UEFA Champions League competition which was the close to times they almost won the the UEFA Champions League title but unfortunately for them, it was their biggest city rivals Real Madrid that they had to face in those finals of which they were beaten. Currently, I don't think they have the squad that's strong enough to challenge for the title and despite their struggles in recent seasons they've always decided to stick with their manager Diego Simeone.
With the club under Diego Simeone, I don't think they are going to be a major contender for the UEFA Champions League competition anytime soon because it's still the same tactical approaches he's adopted in recent years that he'll continue to maintain.

On the issue of ATM losing the champions League finals to Real Madrid in 2014 and 2016, Diego Simeone once said if not for C Ronaldo his team would have won two champions league but that been said, I think football is unpredictable yes ATM have had their best moments yet they were unlucky to win the champions league finals but that doesn't mean their style of play  is not good to win the trophy or their coach can't lead them to the finals no I think the current squad in the team can make it to the finals and can win the trophy if they improve in their performance or get lucky to defeat their opponents to get to the finals and end up defeating the team they play against in the finals. Last season Dortmund was in poor form they couldn't finish in the top4 in their league but they managed to get to the final of the champions league despite struggling in the league, they had the opportunity of winning the champions league if they had converted their chances to scoring goals so I think Diego Simeone still has what it takes to take to his team to lifting the champions league trophy sooner than we can imagine even without having to change his playing tactics.

I'm not so skeptical about Atlético's chances, as we see with a successful draw even Dortmund can reach the final. Or if you look back, even Chelsea can take the title (at the same time taking only 4th place with 67 points in the Premier League). Many teams have a chance, but in the case of Atlético, first of all, it is not clear to me how long Simeone plans to stay there. It is obvious that the team has been deteriorating for several seasons in a row. Does he have any ideas to change something? He's been coaching Atlético for so long that I don't know how to answer this question.

Plus he is the highest paid manager in the world, that will not be fine with the team eventually, they may one day say lets fire him, get someone cheaper and use that money to get better players.

But, when Diego Simeone always manages to make the team able to compete either in the upper zone or at the highest level, then maybe Atletico are also reluctant to fire him. Because anyway, dismissal usually occurs when the coach and the board or with the club owner the relationship is no longer harmonious or there is a dispute that occurs, then it is very possible to dismiss. But, when the coach is always successful and, the coach himself decides to leave then that can also happen, recently for example about Klopp who left Liverpool on the grounds that he had run out of energy. But, if Diego Simeone is still capable of being Atletico's manager, and Atletico also feel good, then I'm sure they will stay but indeed, in the future about the change will certainly happen.

I'm also curious why Diego Simeone wasn't fired at Atletico Madrid. What do they expect from Diego Simeone. If we look at the history of Atletico Madrid while Diego Simeone was coach, they did not win many titles. If I'm not mistaken, while Diego Simeone was coaching ATM, he was only able to win 2 LaLiga champions, 2 European champions, 1 Copa Del Rey, 1 Super Cup, 2 UEFA Super Cups and the Audi Cup.
Is there no other coach who suits Atletico Madrid's style of play.

But Diego Simeone is also not a bad coach in his career compared to many other coaches. I think he's a standard coach. But Atletico Madrid must have big dreams of winning the UEFA Champions League. ATM has not been able to win the UEFA Champions League. Maybe Pep Guardiola is one step faster than him who can make Manchester City feel the UCL.

If we are talking about Atletico Madrid's chance to win a Champions League title, then I don't think it will happen in the near future.  Smiley  While Real Madrid is getting Mbappe and there is a Manchester City fact too, it is really not easy to reach the title.

Who wouldn't?  Grin  But Atletico Madrid need to make a huge improvement to reach even the finale once again (The last time they did it was the 2015/2016 season).
