That's why in crucial matches like this you shouldn't underestimate any opponent, especially if the victory is to qualify for the Champions League this season where every team will definitely play as well as possible in order to qualify and that has been done well by the Young Boys team at Galatasaray's home. And I have to congratulate Young Boys for being able to beat Galatasaray in the first leg and the second leg so that the Young Boys team really deserves to qualify for the Champions League this season.
After this defeat, Turkey will remain without a representative in the Champions League this season. I did not believe that Young Boys would be able to beat Galatasaray, even if they were able to do it at home, that's one thing, but they also repeated it away and I will say that they deserved to win, they did not try to play defensively to at least achieve a draw, which would have been enough for them, but they tried to win again, even if you compare the statistics of the teams' shots, you can see that Young Boys had more desire to do this, 7 shots on target, against 4 shots for Galatasaray. Today, several more teams will decide who is stronger and tomorrow we will see the group stage draw.

I also don't think Galatasaray will be eliminated. The bad feeling was there when in the first half they failed to score a goal. and the pressure for them will be heavier in the second half. I also lost the bet in this match. but I put it on a single bet. so I still got a win from Salzburg and Sparta.

betting on the second round like this is sometimes very difficult. there are several factors that might change the game not to run like in the first leg. there are still some interesting matches today. hopefully this time the results will be better.
I really hoped that Galatasaray could turn things around when playing in front of their supporters, but something unexpected happened, Galatasaray players actually had difficulty scoring goals at home. This result means that Galatasaray are certain to fail to play in the Champions League this season, they have to be relegated to the Europa League after being defeated by Young Boys with an aggregate of 2-4.
Salzburg and Sparta progressed smoothly into the Champions League after they managed to win their previous matches, the second leg went according to plan because there was no pressure on them whatsoever. That's football, there are always surprises that are difficult to predict, you are not the only one who lost the bet on the Galatasaray vs Young Boys match because on paper Galatasaray quality is better than Young Boys.

The new format will now be interesting but I'm not sure any English club will be able to compete for trophies other than Manchester City.
For the previous few seasons Liverpool could still do that but for now I want to relax my expectations for Liverpool because although they at the beginning of the domestic competition they played very well but in the end there are still doubts for Arne slot in this regard.

Liverpool can play well in the champions league as they have a history of winning. It is the same history that is helping real madrid to always be the team winning every time too. Liverpool already has 6 champions league therefore they can win more with or without a stronger team. Let say Real Madrid and Liverpool meets at the champions league final, Real Madrid might still win them as they have a better squad but it isn't going to be easy for Real Madrid as how it would had been when they hey meet a smaller team as Arsenal. Arsenal aren't a champions league team as they do not have any experience or heritage in the champions league.

You can’t just look down on Arsenal like that not to be a competent team enough in the champions league. They may have failed to go far last season but their performance in the premier league and the little they’ve done in the champions league is enough for them to be one of the worthy teams in this year’s champions league competition. They may have no experience but even last year, they may have gathered some experience already and if they can, they can always improve for the better this season. No team should be underrated this early when the champions league competition has not even began yet. Arsenal and Liverpool are suppose to be a worthy team in the champions league this season but until the season starts, I’ll continue to have much hope in them.
Arsenal's performance is fine for the Premier League but they won't be able to do the same in the Champions League at least. They perform in such a way that it seems that the Champions League tournament is not important to them. One match was won, one match was lost, they have no problem with this, they are only giving importance to the Premier League tournament. If Arsenal took the Champions League tournament seriously, they would have done well in the Champions League long ago and their main plan would have been the Champions League. Some players have changed this season and there will be an expectation that they focus equally on the Champions League as well as the Premier League.

Qarabag vs Dinamo Zagreb (Dinamo Zagreb win)
Crvena Zvezda vs Bodø/Glimt (Crvena Zvezda)
Slavia Prague vs Lille (draw)

Honestly, in the second leg of the play-off round, I am a little doubtful about my own bet because there are still many surprises that can happen. But I only believe in the match I choose and hopefully I will be lucky.

From the several matches I chose, maybe only the Slavia Prague vs Lille match is difficult to predict because even though they are 2 aggregate scores behind, Slavia Prague is not a weak team and this match could end in a draw and in the penalty round all the surprises happen. So I prefer to bet on cards because I am sure Slavia Prague will be very aggressive in getting 2 scores.

Match first leg LOSC managed to win 2 - 0 over Slavia Praha and Dinamo Zagreb won 3 - 0 over Qarabag, today the second leg for this match will also start and Slavia Praha plays at home as well as Qarabag.
I personally think this second match is match that will be difficult to predict who will win but I sure LOSC can qualify for the next round, but for Qarabag itself it will be difficult to surpass Dinamo Zagreb with the 3 aggregate points they have.
I don't know who will get the advantage in these two matches and can qualify for the next round, what is clear is that Dinamo Zagreb has fairly comfortable condition with the 3 aggregate points they have, playing away with draw might be the only way for Dinamo Zagreb.
In these two matches I also took the BTTS option to bet, the chances of goals from each team are really quite large if look at the performance of the first leg match.

In the end I lost the bet because Galatasaray lost again in the second leg, it was a shame they had to end up here even though they had a chance to qualify but once again they wasted it, it is indeed not easy to qualify for the League phase because Young Boys is also not a club that can be underestimated, I had doubts because I thought the first win was just luck but seeing this second leg I realized Young Boys did well and were more focused so as not to concede.

I guess we won't see any Turkish teams in the Champions League this season. First, Fenerbahce got eliminated by Lille, and today Galatasaray failed to win against the Swiss champions, Young Boys.
As much as Lille is a strong team from the top of the French league, one of the strongest in Europe, you would expect more from Galatasaray against YB. Galatasaray dominated the league last season, scoring an impressive 102 points, but tonight, they were unable to do anything and the game must've been a disappointment for the Turkish fans.
Something bad happened to Turkish football over the recent years, it could be that due to tough economic situation in the country (high inflation and all that) clubs got poorer and can't attract or retain talented players.

If Turkish teams are going to play so badly, it is better that we do not see them in the Champions League.
If they had continued to play like this, they would have beaten our Turkish teams in the Champions League by a very different score, it would have been worse for us.
I am happy with the situation.

Galatasaray played poorly and was eliminated, but the thing that caught my attention the most was Muslera kicking the football player who was celebrating a goal and receiving a red card.
I did not see the position in the television broadcast, but I was saddened when I saw the image on social media. Maybe he did it out of anger and stress at that moment, but I think it did not suit a goalkeeper like Muslera.
In the matches of the night, only Galatasaray was eliminated and made a surprise. Prague and Salzburg made it to the Champions League groups.

Arsenal and Liverpool are suppose to be a worthy team in the champions league this season but until the season starts, I’ll continue to have much hope in them.

With Arsenal's performances in last season's Champions League that show Arsenal is also a strong competitor in the competition, and with the great performances they have started this season with, I have some confidence that Arsenal will go far in this Champions League competition. However, let's not jump to conclusions now, as the competition has not yet started. It is too early to say much about their performance in the Champions League, as even the domestic league competition has not progressed very far. The reason I believe Arsenal might go far in the Champions League is based on their squad and their performances last season in the competition.

As for Liverpool, we are all aware that Liverpool is not a weak team in the Champions League. It just so happened that Liverpool's performance declined last season. Otherwise, Liverpool always performs well in the Champions League. From what I have observed about the club now, they are playing better than they did last season in the different matches I have watched recently.

I made a bet that I think is quite risky with odds @3.76 including Galatasaray, Szalburg and Sparta Praha's victory even though it is clear that these clubs have won in the first leg with a score of 2:0 so in the second leg even though they get a draw they can still qualify but I expect them to win again because I see their opponents' defense is quite weak.

Basically no team wants to rely on the results that exist later with the previous advantage and here you have the right view to describe the bet. However, both Salzburg and Sparta Prague will try to win, especially since they both play as hosts. It would be disappointing if they made a mistake at home that ended in something undesirable.

For Galatasaray, that is true and if they weaken in the second leg it will be even more embarrassing. No matter where they play, even in away games they have to win if they want to appear in the Champions League this season. They should be aware that being a representative of Turkey in the highest European competition is a pride for every club. Therefore, as long as the aggregate difference is only thin, opportunities and luck will still cover them and it depends on how they can do it well.

Yes, Galatasaray, despite losing to Young Boys in the first leg, still has a good chance of turning things around at home to qualify for the Champions League group stage. Because they are at a disadvantage, Galatasaray will have to play offensively, at least until they can turn the situation around, in this crucial match. Galatasaray will also not be able to use their mainstay centec-back Bardakci due to suspension. Therefore, Young Boys' attack will have a lot easier time.

I believe the upcoming match will be very decisive and tense. Perhaps, a draw is a good result for both sides. It's just that if that happens, Galatasaray will have to sadly say goodbye to the Champions League this season. Young Boys' mission now is very simple, just need to draw with Galatasaray to be in the group stage.

I'm not so sure but I'll bet on Galatasaray. The odds offered by the bookies are also still leaning towards Galatasaray. they have to work hard to catch up on the 1 goal deficit. it is very possible to be chased. but there is also a possibility that both will still score in the match later.
Well, my condolences to you for betting on Galatasaray. After beating Galatasaray 3-2 in the first leg at home last week, Young Boys went on to win 1-0 in the return leg thanks to a goal from Alan Virginius. And completed a 4-2 aggregate victory. Galatasaray missed out on the Champions League for the second time in three years. Galatasaray has home advantage in the second leg against Young Boys. However, their opponents are not easy to bully.

Quote
another match, Sparta Prague vs Malmo. Sparta won 2-0 on aggregate and now they will also play at home. Sparta's chances of winning in the second leg are quite large. even the bookies are still offering a good Odd offer of 1.84
I haven't decided on a bet, but I might also bet on the match.

In the match between Sparta Praha and Malmo, both teams also played fast from the start, but players on both sides missed unfortunate opportunities. However, with higher determination and maintaining pressure throughout the match, Sparta Praha won 2-0 in the final minutes. Midfielder Lukas Haraslin converted an 80th-minute penalty before Albion Rahmani scored to seal a 2-0 second-leg win for Sparta Prague. Winning 4-0 after 2 convincing matches, the Czech Republic representative participated in the Champions League.

Galatasaray was eliminated. They played very badly tonight, we watched a disgraceful team. Okan Buruk could not prepare the team.
I think the first 11 selection is very wrong, there is no game with such a first 11.
We lost a huge income.
Barış Alper, Kerem, Köhn, Jelert were very bad tonight, either sell them or send them to another team.
Galatasaray's second leg performance is even worsening compared to the first leg. Our game plan failed. Our build-up play is non-existent. We have weak players' mentalities. Our captain was baffling and kicked the goal scorer, then got a red card. We always take one step forward, but we also take two steps back. No doubt, our team is getting worse.

Young boys were weak, but we played even worse than them. We're lowering our standards in European competition. It's time to sack our coach.

- 2 years wasted in European competition.

- No improvement in midfield since Okan joined our club as a new coach.

No excuses, but Okan must be sacked as soon as possible.

And the other 14 teams that are struggling to get 7 tickets left at this time, namely:

Lille / Slavic Prague
BodoGlimt / Red Star Belgrade
Dinamo Zagreb / Qarabag
Young Boys / Galatasaray
Midtylland / Slovan Bratislava
Dynamo Kiev / Salzburg
Malmo / Sparta Prague

All these teams on this list will not make it far, unfortunately they are very weak compared to the teams at the top of the big leagues. So in my opinion even if some of the teams qualify for the European Champions League, they will still not have good results when they face the big teams. The only advantage that the teams on this list that qualify will have, will be the money they will earn for having managed to qualify. I do not know how much money they will receive, but I believe it will be a good amount of money.

There are three games to be played today:

- Galatasaray - Young Boys
- Salzburg - Dynamo Kyiv
- Sparta Prague - Malmo

I have shown the teams in bold about whom I expect to advance to league phase. I already see Salzburg and Sparta Prague there. 2-0 is a really good advantage and they both got it in away games.  Wink

Galatasaray is the most difficult one to predict here. They are 3-2 behind on aggregate. But they are a huge favourite at home. You can understand it from the odds given too (1.33 against 8.00). I think Young Boys will get ahead first but Galatasaray will come back. We will watch extra time and Galatasaray will score another goal there to finish the job. This is my opinion.  Smiley

Galatasaray - Young Boys

Galatasaray lost and were eliminated. It seems to me that this season they are not doing well compared to last season. Turkish teams have not done well in European competitions. I don't understand why, there are teams from leagues much worse than the Turkish league but they have managed to do well in European competitions.

Salzburg - Dynamo Kyiv

Dynamo Kyiv managed to draw, but were eliminated. unfortunately

Sparta Prague - Malmo

Sparta Prague won comfortably again and Malmo were eliminated

Me and you know that Arsenal is not as poor as you think because their failure to go far in the Champions League last season does not mean they are not good or that they are not a team in the Champions League. Arsenal's failure last season was because they were more focused on the Premier League than any other league in which they were participating. But I think this season is going to be something different. I’m expecting Arsenal to be at the top this season. Let’s watch and see.

Away from the the UEFA Champions League qualifying games, the
2024/25 UCL will officially kick off in less than 1 month from now and to some of us, we can't just hold back the excitement of seeing club football's most prestigious competition return back to our screens again. As a Real Madrid fan, I'm very optimistic that the reigning European and Spanish champions stands a very good chance of retaining the competition. Do you think we're going to have a different winner? How about Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, do you think they'll steer themselves to glory once again this season?

The Champions League is back, baby. Everyone is also staring at Real Madrid. Back-to-back titles? No one's done it in ages, but if anyone can, it's Los Blancos. They're the kings of Europe for a reason. Man City's seems dangerous, without doubt. Guardiola has them operating perfectly. But let's be real, the Champions League is a different beast. Liverpool? They pose a constant danger.  Never count them out; and Bayern? They are Bayern. Constant as hell. Yet at the end of the day, it's Real Madrid's trophy. They possess the experience, the aptitude, the hunger. Rest of Europe is competing for second place
When discussing the Champions League, it cannot be that the name of Real Madrid does not come, the Champions League seems incomplete without Real Madrid. However, in such a big tournament, it is normal for a strong team to have a big rival every season. We consider Manchester City as favorites for the Champions League, but Real Madrid are our top picks. Apart from these two teams, many times other teams are doing very well in the Champions League and they are playing till the finals. The season before the last one ended, Real Madrid exited in the semi-finals as well as Inter Milan played in the Champions League final in that season, even though we considered Real Madrid as the favourites. I won't worry about anything exceptional this season but I will say that Real Madrid Manchester City can do better than these two teams.
Of course because Real Madrid is the most successful club in the Champions League and the biggest in the world. Although many say that Man City's game is better than Real Madrid's, that's true. Real Madrid does not have a distinctive game, sometimes possession of the ball, sometimes counter, sometimes it's not clear how to play. But for some reason Real Madrid has 'something', let's call it mentality. Although there are no old players, the mentality of each player emerges by itself, Real Madrid is indeed extraordinary. Whoever the player is on the team, must have a champion mentality and lift the trophy. This is something that other teams, including Man City and Barcelona, do not have. Because, every player who joins Real Madrid, must feel an extraordinary sensation compared to joining another club.

This season, many football observers put Man City in first place in the fight for the Champions League trophy and Real Madrid in second place. But I personally still put Real Madrid in first place because Real Madrid plays an important game, the end result is that they do not prioritize beautiful play, that is the hallmark of Real Madrid. Not always playing well and dominantly but more efficient in taking advantage of opportunities.

Still, it also doesn't have a big impact because experience is only a support for how they convince themselves mentally but what happens now is still what is shown is performance and for this time I still have to see how Slot can do it or not considering that currently Liverpool are certainly still in the transition phase of changing coaches which could have more impact on them in terms of performance in the end even though in domestic competitions in the first few matches Slot did well.

Last time Liverpool won in the 2018/19 season and lost the final afterwards in Klopp's heyday at Liverpool and Klopp also needed a few seasons of trying before finding a good formula and this season I think I'm still quite rational if in the end there are still a few doubts about Slot in all the competitions he has with Liverpool.

So far, Arne Slot's performance with Liverpool is quite good because he managed to bring victory to Liverpool. But talking about the Champions League, of course Arne Slot doesn't have much experience like Pep or Ancelotti, but I don't think that's a big problem for him because Arne Slot has many quality players and is also experienced in the Champions League. Arne Slot's performance has certainly stolen a lot of attention because this season, of course, the competition in the EPL or UCL is so fierce.

Of course, in the Champions League, the teams that are quite tough right now are Real Madrid and Manchester City, so other teams need great concentration to be able to beat them. For Liverpool, they have Salah and I think he will be able to bring victory in important matches for them in the Champions League. Kloop has also been very impressed with Liverpool's progress so far because he thinks Slot has succeeded in continuing Liverpool's good performance this season.
