Alot of the sentiment on this thread over the last few days have been largely centered on Madrid winning the title for the second time in a row. As much as they're the true kings of the tournament and are in a really great place right now where they can perform and compete with any team right now, I'm not 100% certain that they can win it yet. A lot of twists and turns are gonna be there and like all football games, the best teams don't always win and I can see that happening with Madrid. There are teams that could still handle them well in the UCL.

My options are still open even though my default, biased choice is going to be Liverpool.
If it's not Real Madrid then it's likely Manchester City will be the next champions because these two teams are the only ones who have clear prospects of winning the Champions League title. Maybe other teams have the same chance to win the title, it's just that if one of them faces one of Real Madrid or Manchester City in the final then everything will be in vain.

I don't mean to belittle but everything is very clear with the great coaches and also the depth of the squad that these two teams have. In my opinion, Liverpool still can't compete to win the title at the moment because they still have to adapt to their new coach, Arne Slot, and as long as Liverpool still entrusts the striker position to Darwin Nunez, it won't work.

So that the main point, Real Madrid was able to play very well before Mbappe arrival and for next season when Mbappe is with them, it is clear that Real Madrid strength really cannot be underestimated anymore.
Even their eternal rivals, namely Barcelona, will feel how difficult and strong Real Madrid performance is, there will be lot of pressure that Barcelona will feel if they compete for the La Liga or UCL titles.
Even though surprises could happen, at least what Real Madrid has gives them very big opportunity for next season.

That's true, there is little chance that Real Madrid can be defeated, even before Mbappe's arrival at Real Madrid they could perform very well on their own to dominate the Champions League. with next season where Mbappe will join Real Madrid, of course this is mutually beneficial, because Mbappe is very lucky to be able to join Real Madrid, which is a big and strong team, and Real Madrid is also lucky because they are right in recruiting players who have brilliant talent, Mbappe just has to adapt well so he can achieve what he has never achieved before.

Barcelona, in my opinion, will not be easy, in fact it could be said that they will not be able to beat Real Madrid, because with Real Madrid itself it is clear that they have very good strength, but with Barcelona they still have unresolved problems so they have not been able to find the best point of the game.

Real Madrid is insane. Champions League is practically in their DNA. But let's not crown them just yet. Man City's been on fire lately, and this tournament could heat up. Anything can happen. Liverpool? They're not the same squad that hoisted that trophy a few years back, but I'm not counting them out. Althouhg Klopp out, they still know how to get fired up, especially in the Champions League. They've got that Anfield magic, and they were this close to the Premier League

Arsenal's come a long way, Arteta's doing a hell of a job, but they're young. Champions League is still a challenge. They've got the hunger, but do they have the experience?

The current Real Madrid squad is not bad, all the players are in their best form, the arrival of Mbappe makes this Los Blancos squad even stronger as others say, I believe the game statistics have improved again.

The last few seasons Real Madrid's player purchases have never failed, maybe what failed was the purchase of Eden Hazard in the past but now they are investing more in young players who have talent and in the future will have high market value.

What is careful is the arrival of Mbappe for free while last season offered him 200 million this is really a good strategy done by Real Madrid.
I once said that Mbappe is a selfish player and doesn't really care about other players. He seemed to really prioritize individual achievements over team achievements during his time at PSG, so I hope the atmosphere in the Real Madrid dressing room never changes after his arrival. Vinicius, Rodrygo, Bellingham, Mbappe have their own egos, if these players don't get along then the team's performance will never be as expected.

I don't want to see Real Madrid's performance decline after Mbappe is in the squad, of course I hope for a better performance compared to the previous season. Mbappe is a free purchase which is expected to make Real Madrid even more feared in the world as a team, so it is hoped that all players can make a good contribution and work together throughout next season.
PSG and Real Madrid are two very different clubs, at least you can be sure that the kind of things that happened at PSG will never happen at Real Madrid. At least the Real Madrid management will be able to keep their dressing room in order.

Real Madrid already has Vinicius, Rodrigo, Bellingham and knowing that these three players have a good relationship, Mbappe has signed a contract with Real Madrid, so he will definitely try to move the team forward with these players. Real Madrid's manager and management are different from all other teams so I think there is no chance of this happening.

Any idea how Leverkusen is going to perform in the Champions League competition?

I actually want to see Leverkusen from well in the Champions League competition. For some reason, I also want to see a final between Real Madrid and Leverkusen. I think because I want to see how great coaches, Alonso and Ancelotti does against each other. I understand that this is not a good comparison and probably there is a very high chance that Real Madrid is actually going to win very easily. Because of the track record that they have in the Champions League. But it will still be something to watch. The expectation is really high from Leverkusen. I hope they will be able to deliver properly on that.

Leverkusen can perform very impressive this season in the bundesliga and the europa league even though they failed to win the championship trophy, but compared to other teams this season in the top 5 European leagues, of course Leverkusen is the best team in my opinion, the depth of the squad, the cohesiveness and also the mentality they have are able to surprise us, next season of course Alonso will have a hard job to be able to repeat their achievements this season,  At the moment of course it is difficult for us to predict what will happen to Leverkusen next season considering the transfer market that is indeed possible for players to come and go, at the moment some Leverkusen players are rumored to be close to other clubs so I think it will greatly affect their performance next season.

The Champions League is the tightest competition so far, in addition to needing luck, of course teams such as Leverkusen, Atlanta, Girona and also Bologna of course need squad depth, player quality and of course mentality to be able to compete in the Champions League, I appreciate all of Leverkusen's achievements this season with their ability to maintain their performance, but for the Champions League next seadon  of course it seems their that it is not very ready in my opinion,  I think next season Manchester City and also Madrid will again be a team that is indeed fiercely competing in winning the championship trophy.

Even for the UCL itself it can also be confirmed that Real Madrid can become team that is much more difficult to beat, and the fight for the UCL title is also getting more difficult.
If I were Madrid I'd put a priority to the Champions League.
Yes, because the UCL is the most prestigious competition for European team and of course this is the title most desired by all players from each team, but wouldn't it be even more proud if Real Madrid could dominate all the competitions in which they participated.
Being able to dominate almost completely can make Real Madrid the strongest team and at the top of European football.

~snip~
when Mbappe before going to Real Madrid the performance of Vinicius and his friends was really strong and it was very difficult for any team to beat Real Madrid and I personally always imagine how strong Real Madrid is now and I also always imagine when the UCL match starts later Real Madrid will definitely score a lot of goals and it seems like I personally want to bet on Real Madrid winning the UCL match when it starts, but unfortunately it's still a long way off.

Yes, of course Real Madrid, with so many young players, definitely has a bright future and of course Real Madrid will have great potential to continue winning. Yes, it seems certain that the Laliga team and UCL team will also be worried about the performance of Ancelotti's troops.

However, competition will definitely be fierce in the coming season and of course other teams will also try their best to find loopholes to make Ancelotti's troops lose. Of course there is nothing impossible for any team to beat Real Madrid and of course the results of matches are sometimes always difficult to predict. So of course Real Madrid is not 100% safe in the coming season but of course the potential for victory for Real Madrid in the upcoming UCL is definitely on big Real Madrid's side.
So that the main point, Real Madrid was able to play very well before Mbappe arrival and for next season when Mbappe is with them, it is clear that Real Madrid strength really cannot be underestimated anymore.

Every one is entitled to their own opinion on who they feel may likely win the champions league next season after all we are making predictions as no body is certain on the team that will win the champions league just that the reason why almost every one is making predictions in favour of Real Madrid is based on what is obtainable now in the sense that Real Madrid seems to have the best squad for the competition now and they are the dominant team of the champions league so don't be surprised when people are pointing towards the direction of Real Madrid.

Apart from the fact that Real Madrid have a nice squad, there are other competitive teams like Liverpool that you just mentioned though i doubt their ability since Jurgen Klopp will be ending his coaching Job with the team the other clubs includes, Manchester city, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, PSG and Arsenal those are the teams with fairly good squad that can be able to compete the Champions league trophy with Real Madrid.

I don’t like the new version of the group stage, to be debuted in the 24/25 season but it is what it is. After missing out on the CL last season I am looking forward to seeing Liverpool back where we belong.

It’s very much unknown territory with Slot but I guess you never know what can happen, it doesn’t cost anything to dream.

I don’t like the group stage either, you could say that they combined the old group stage with the last qualifying round and it turned out to be such a mess. But if you look at the essence of the competition, then everything still starts at the playoff stage and here everything remains as before. And yet I hope that spectator interest in the group stage will wane and the old format will be returned.

Real Madrid is the king of the UEFA Champions League competition because they have won the trophy more than any other club in the European leagues. So it is normal if the discussion here is centered on Real Madrid winning the UEFA Champions League trophy for the second time in a row. With Mbappe joining Real Madrid on a free transfer, football fans believe that Real Madrid is unstoppable, and that is another reason why they see Real Madrid as a club that will still retain the UEFA Champions League trophy. Since Liverpool has signed a new head coach, we have to wait and see how the new coach will perform at Liverpool before we can be certain that they can rival Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League competition. For me, I see Manchester City as the most qualified club to beat Real Madrid anywhere because Manchester City also has a squad that can match Real Madrid's shoulder-to-shoulder if they meet in the UEFA Champions League competition.

I'm focusing on quality over quantity. The only best from the best can win the UCL, and Madrid is my favorite club to win it again.
very simple and also very meaningful.
logically, the quality of the team or more precisely the quality of the players is one of the main roles for the team that will win the UCL title and this only exists in a few big teams that already have experience of getting the UCL title, such as Madrid, Man City, Munich and other teams that have already won the UCL title experience.
but Madrid will be a priority in the UCL every season because in terms of player quality, almost all the players are very experienced and have extraordinary talent and also Madrid has the most achievements in the UCL, so even though there will be many teams entering the UCL zone, Madrid will not have it easy defeated because this team is one of the strongest teams in the UCL without exception.

for me, the addition of UCL participants will not affect the competition for big teams like Madrid because small teams that have just entered the UCL list only need experience and try their luck to get good results, but that doesn't mean they can beat Madrid and for me as a Madrid fan fully supports your opinion regarding the addition of UCL participant slots, which will only provide a new experience for Madrid to meet other small teams.

Yes, I agree with your sentiment about this, the chances of real madrid winning next year uefa champions league is still very high, because in as much as they are very good now, they are still adding more quality players in their ranks, and the addition of Kyler mbape in this real Madrid team will definitely makes them the team to beat, and probably the most strongest team next season.

Though Manchester city are still there, we all know how good they are when they are in their full flow, and I actually believe that they are the only team that has the capacity to put a stop to the dominance of real madrid, because they also possesses quality and experience in their ranks the way real madrid is, so next season competition will definitely going to be fascinating to we the football faithful.

To say 100% that Real Madrid will win the Champions League next season, I'm not that sure either. However, here we can only see that their percentage of winning the Champions League title again is very high compared to other teams. I think this is a very normal thing, with the status of defending champions and the addition of their strength, one of which is by successfully bringing in Mbappe in the season.
If you calculate the percentage, last season Manchester City was the team with the highest percentage, but in fact they also failed because Real Madrid managed to beat them. Real Madrid overtook them in percentage terms and managed to become champions.
This could happen next season, even though Real Madrid may be the team holding the highest percentage, but that doesn't mean they can automatically become champions.

The increase in UCL participants means nothing to Madrid. It is about quantity, not quality. The number of teams participating in the UCL will not boost the quality from the participants, right? I am still convinced Real Madrid is still winning the competition.
It will create more opportunities to smaller leagues and smaller clubs but the ultimate beneficial entity is UEFA. They will receive a lot of more income from a bigger Champions League with more matches and more television rights from more countries.

Quote
Despite the fact that there would be so many participants competing for UCL. Real Madrid is the most favorite club to win the competition. I am not doubting it.
Real Madrid and other big clubs will receive more money too but they will have to cope with another challenge, more matches mean more risk of body exhaustion and injuries on their star players. In very last months of each season, their star players will have bigger risk of injuries and miss most important matches in a season. This potentially causes some big problems with clubs that unluckily get some player injuries.

Quote
There is an additional slot for the Serie A and Bundesliga.

This will not affect the fact that a weak club finishing in fifth place will have a chance to participate in the UCL. This will not have a significant impact on the result as the winner will be dermined by the quality of clubs. I remember some leagues sent a lot of candidates last season but real madrid was winning the competition.
Additional slots for two best leagues are good enough because these clubs have good quality too. In Premier League, if Chelsea or Liverpool miss Champions League, it's bad for them and for Champions League too. If Premier League completes a season as one of two best leagues, a strong club that ends the league will be able to join Champions League next season.

It is good if the fifth club has good performances but if the fifth club has many problems like Manchester United, their appearance in Champions League with that special extra slot won't help to increase quality of Champions League.

With the new UCL format, there will be more matches there will be an additional 64 matches with a total of 189 matches. Some positive opinions are that there will be more clubs that can participate. The more interesting the competition, the more spectators will also watch the match. This means that club ticket revenue will increase.

But with this condition, of course, the club has to work harder. They will go through many matches that make them can get injured. The team seems to have to prepare a good strategy to be able to compete in the League and Europe. It is possible that the increase in the number of players registered can be considered by UEFA.

Real Madrid did not win the league in a row. Before this there current wining Manchester City were the winner and they were also one of the strongest competitor in the UCL semi finals stage. I still believe they are the strongest team in the world. If they still retain tis squad and include. Mbape they are almost concluding deals on then they will win the league again and again.

Liverpool current squad are no match to Madrid unless there are more threat added to the team that i do not know. If you would mention a team that can hold the defense of Madrid you should be talking about Arsenal.

Despite not winning back-to-back matches, Real Madrid are a team and they are the team with the most trophies in the Champions League. Although we have seen that Manchester City were champions last season but this season they did not make it to the finals instead they had to leave early. Of course Real Madrid are the stronger team as Mbappe has added better players to their squad but they will be more competitive next season. With Real Madrid signing Mbappe and having enough stars in the Madrid team, the team will have a chance to win back-to-back matches from next season.

Although we have seen Liverpool's game with Real Madrid not have to give every day but they are not able to bring a very strong player in their team now. If they can't bring good stars to Liverpool, then the match with Real Madrid will be a threat, moreover, Arsenal and Real Madrid will not be able to cope. Currently we can identify Real Madrid as the strongest team where the stars are factory, however we can call for Real Madrid to be champions again for next season.

Bayern Munich and Ajax can win the 3 titles in a row, too. But only Real Madrid who could win 5 titles in a row (1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960). This record is unlikely to be repeated by other teams because it will be very difficult to win UCL in 5 consecutive seasons. That's why many people claim that UCL is Real Madrid league, Real Madrid is too dominating this competition.  Cheesy
Bayern Munich, Ajax Amsterdam, Real Madrid and Liverpool are teams that have some dominating seasons in the past but I did not implied about these seasons. It's too far in the past and European football last two or three decades are very different than in 1970s, 1980s and before that.

Since the change from C1 to Champions League, only Real Madrid successfully defend their Champions League title, and this fact shows how hard to become a Champions League winner last three decades.

Even the golden generation of Messi can't dominate UCL. They are defeated by Ronaldo era that was managed by Zidane. Barcelona may dominate La Liga in the era of Messi, but they never can dominate UCL. Real Madrid is surely in another level when it is about UCL. I think people call Real Madrid as the king of UCL is understandable. Sure, no team looks to catch the record of Real Madrid in UCL
It's true so and three consecutive Champions League titles of Real Madrid with Zidane as a head coach, is very magnificent achievement for their club and it's an impressive club performance in Champions League history too.

Manchester City failed to defend their title in the recently completed season too and this again shows very high competitiveness of Champions League. It's hard to win it but it's even much harder to defend your title.

Really? Liverpool is your choice on this ? I don't know if you missed the part that they are actually trying to switch their manager and we all know the effect that normally holds in a club and for the case of Liverpool I just hope it's positive rather than negative because jorgen kloop is actually a really good coach and I find it hard to believe that someone would easily just implement or even do better than what he has done in Liverpool.

A change in the Liverpool team would be good, but such an experienced coach should not be changed.  Although the performance of Liverpool team players has been very poor at present, as I have placed two bets on Liverpool team in the last month or so I have lost there. So I will definitely talk about their performance but it will be best if they change and the team can perform stronger.

Well I don't actually know where you driving at but Liverpool has never been a team just that they heard some set backs as the league was drawing close to an end but of which they actually bounced back but that isn't the center of focus for now, what is being talked about is the effect of them actually having their current coach jorgen kloop leaving the club and this is reason why am being skeptical about @nelson actually giving Liverpool a better hand in stoping the likes of Madrid this coming champions league.
