Barcelona must not make the same mistakes as in the first half against Benfica when they face Atalanta. Because I agree with you that Atalanta is different from Benfica. This team this season is quite scary. Apart from having the ability to take advantage of opportunities well or their goal conversion rate being very good, this team also has a level of defense that should not be underestimated. Beating Sturm with a score of 5-0, aka without conceding a single goal, makes us realize how strong Atalanta's defense was in that match. Sturm was only able to make 5 shots and only 1 shot was on target against Atalanta's goal. And I also remember how Atalanta beat Leverkusen in the Europa League final last season. At first I didn't pay attention to Atalanta but now I really pay attention to this team and what I can say about this team is that it is a tenacious and highly disciplined team. They will continue to develop and get better.
Seems the match facing Atalanta not influence yet for Barcelona because have secure at directly qualifying standings position, current points of Barcelona difficult catch up by the outside top 8th standings team and having 18 points awhile with one match left have secure one spot for Barcelona get next round match. But conceded four goals is not good performed for Barcelona how weakness of their defense and another bigger mistake from their goals keeper Wojciech Szczęsny. Barcelona difficult to make clean sheet not only at Champion League match but also in domestic league match and last time clean sheet at domestic league match when facing Real Madrid last one month ago.

Atalanta have impressive performance in Champion League after defating SK Sturm last match over 5-0 and their current standings position not secure yet get qualifying directly or not depend on last match result. Atalanta won't loss three points at the last games week of Champion League match get qualifying to knock out round.

I said the second half could be different and it was as I thought. Barcelona managed to turn the game around despite being 4-2 down. They made a great comeback. Lewandowski's penalties and Raphinha's goals helped them win the match. Raphinha was very cold-blooded in his last second goal. He's really playing like a star this year. He's having a career season. He will collect the rewards at the end of the season.
I don’t know if I am seeing it wrongly but I feel some few decisions the referee made was controversial and those decisions turned the around, a lot of people disagreed with the referee’s decisions yesterday and I think he favored Barcelona in my opinion but that being said, I think Benfica gave them room for that. After getting a 4-2 score line at 68 minutes I expected them to defend the goals with all they’ve got but they were still trying to go for more goals. It was really a poor strategy from them they game room for all what that happened to them.

Was a good comeback for Barcelona, Raphinha and Lewandowski are playing an important role for them this season and they are both having a good season but will their performance be enough for them to lead the team to victory?

Raphina this season is simply on fire. He is carrying the entire Barcelona team and he is having the best season of his life. He always scores a goal or assist in each of his last games and can be seen in the statistics. But still what an impresive win from Barcelona and they always make some crazy comebacks this last few years
In fact, almost all of Barcelona's main players this season have experienced quite drastic improvements. After Hansi Flick came to this club, we even saw Lewandowski return to being a quite sharp striker at the start of the season. His duet with Lamine Yamal really made this player who was no longer young seem to return to his youthful performance. He is still the top scorer to date in LaLiga and also in the Champions League.

And Raphinha is the same. And yes, Raphinha not only scores a lot of goals but he is also one of the players who makes a lot of assists, so there is no mistaking that this player is on fire at the moment. In the UCL, Raphinha was also the second top scorer. And I think his goal record will continue to increase and maybe he will overtake his own teammate, Lewandowski, who is currently in first place. But somehow all the solidity of this team cannot be separated from the contribution of their talented young player, namely Lamine Yamal. I think this 17 year old player even deserves to be nominated for the Ballon D'or. because he is still young but has shown the level of play like a player who has a lot of experience. Even his teammates recognize the greatness of this young man.

I didn't expect this performance with their current players, but honestly, Barcelona are doing good, and their last match against Benfica has been a testament to their improvement. Under manager Hansi Flick, the team has shown significant progress, however, I'm wondering if Benfica deserves a penalty. I'm still doubting the referee's decision...
You don't need to question something like that here even though it is a question. Because every decision that has been carried out by the referee in a match, it must be agreed by all parties Because the referee's decision is a very absolute decision and cannot be challenged by any audience. So you just enjoy the results of the match without having to blame the referee's decision for anything including the penalty.

i have watched referee make mistake sometimes, though referee work together along with those on the control room but he is the key player because is not everything they would call him and the only work of the control room is when the players are claiming for a penalty or fowl the referee will have to call for the control room to replay what happened and when he finds out there was a penalty he will do the needful but in a case were the players did not raise an alarm he might overlook it and it slide, meanwhile even some of the cards we saw sometimes by referee isn't deserving. Though the penalty Benfica had yesterday was a clean one and referee has no hand on it and even when they showed how it happen it was obvious and unanimously it was giving and even when they had against Barcelona the referee also gave them, so no matter how dissatisfied anybody can be Barcelona has won Benfica and resting to play there next match against Valencia.

. Raphinah has turned into an absolute beast this season, who could have predicted him to be this good? I mean, this is the same player Barcelona almost sold last season, and we should stop praising Yamal over Raphinah; that guy is so good.
Raphinha has been having a great season, and with the number of goals e has scored, he has enough confidence to be the difference for his team in tough games. Maybe the win for Barcelona will be inspiring for Real Madrid too as they hope to win their game against Salzburg.

Manchester city will also go head-to-head against Paris Saint-Germain, and there's no better time for them to go against PSG when they expect to win the game than at the time when they are just recovering from a very bad run of form.

Manchester city will their game despite being the away team.

There are still 45 minutes to play, Barca will try to turn the game around. But Benfica have a huge advantage. They need to cool the game down a bit and slow it down. If the tempo increases, it's in Barca's favor. I think we will see more goals in the second half. Barca won't give up quickly.

If Barcelona find themselves in the same scenario like they had against Benfica, they will more likely lose the game because Atalanta is not like Benfica, they are still a solid team in the Serie A league and not ignoring the fact that they won the Europa League last season defeating both Bayern Leverkusen and Liverpool.

The game will likely be tough and I expect them to capitalise in any of the Barcelona mistakes and maybe get a win or a tie against them.

And regarding the PSG vs Man City match I am very sure that Man City can now return to being a strong team and can beat PSG even though they have to play away.
City have started winning games again, their confidence is slowly returning and i think it is only a matter of time before they are back to the winning machine we have become accustomed to.

That said, their previous poor form has put them in a precarious position in the champions league, they absolutely have to win their remaining two games, and that starts tonight against PSG. The French giants are also in a big risk of elimination, the two teams need the win tonight and it sets up a spectacle for everyone who'll be watching.
After few hours fans are going to have a big game at Parc des Princes Paris where PSG will host Manchester City for Champions League game which is important for both sides as both are looking for secure their spot into next round which is under threat due to poor run in last few games which give them poor results.

PSG undefeated in French League but having worst ever performance in this event with 2 wins 3 loses while Manchester City is currently bringing themselves back into good after having the worst performance in few games their rhythm is back, and they can go for full three points after having 3 winless games in Champions League. Both the teams currently on level as bookies are feeling this is anybody game while few are giving advantage to PSG due to home advantage, but things can take changes and Citizens can steal the game for securing this spot, but this is going to be game of night.

Barcelona showed real class and dominance and proved that it's not always who calls the police first that often wins the case. Barcelona in the beginning were the ones mounting pressure but as soon as benfica got their first goal, you could see that they didn't rest.

Yesterday's game between Benfica and Barcelona was intense but the game that capped the rest as the most intense was the Atletico Madrid vs Bayer Leverkusen game. Shit! That game was fire and in all honesty, Atletico Madrid deserved to win because right from when they went from 11 to 10 men, they didn't stop asking questions and you'd think that for a club like Bayer who are also stubborn, that they would maintain their lead but it showed how less experienced Bayer Leverkusen were because once a team who are one man down and a goal down manage to get a goal, there's nothing stopping them from pushing for more and a team like Atletico Madrid who have the penchant for coming back from losing to winning the game, it wasn't a surprise.

It was an incredible comeback at the end, who were skeptical that Barcelona would win because they were two goals down [4-2] but things changed quickly towards the end of the match that was all put to good use especially Rapinha's final goal in the last minute was a highlight for all Barcelona fans because of the dramatic win.

Barcelona after successfully defeating Benfica will certainly continue to compete against Atalanta in my opinion this is very interesting to discuss because Atalanta in the 7th match has successfully defeated SK Sturm Graz with a score of 5-0 and Atalanta players are very extraordinary slaughtering SK Sturm Graz with a fantastic score. it feels like if later meet Barcelona it will certainly be an exciting match because both teams are teams that are currently in good form.

of course in Serie A Atalanta is very good and is a strong team but Barcelona is also the same because Barcelona is also a strong team in Laliga in my opinion this will be a really interesting match but in this match of course Barcelona is at an advantage because it is the host but honestly I find it very difficult to predict who will win this match because the players of both clubs are very good like in Atalanta there is Lookman whose performance is very extraordinary while in Barcelona there are also many strong players including Raphinha and Lamine Yamal.

The Champions League competition is just another different competition, although these two clubs here are really doing well currently, and their performance is incredible as well. I have also seen this match, but I think it’s going to be difficult to predict since both teams are doing well, so it will be difficult for us to know who is going to win the match, although Barcelona is in second place in the table, so they may put in more energy to secure more points so they can continue maintaining the spot. However, a few days before the match, let’s see what will happen then.

Szczesny hasn't been himself, I could remember he was better than this while he was the goalie of Arsenal, now his like a shadow of his former self maybe it might be due to age. But nevertheless, in the game last night Benfica really worked hard for the goals they scored on the night. They were really fantastic durinythe first half, because each of their attack was deadly to Barcelona, I didn't even expect Benfica to pose a threat to Barcelona last night but they did. Barcelona on their part tried to come from 3 - 1 to make it 4 - 4, the controversy came with the 5th goal

No doubt benfica did great in the first of that match or also some part of the second half but allowing such numbers of goals to come from Barcelona and also giving Barcelona hope in the last minute calls for a great concern, personally what I don't like is a team acting as if the will win but at the end of the day losing the same match, benfica good first half outplay was brought to nothing by bacelona and I think that's a bad result for them, Barcelona needed to be applauded for such a good come back, am one of those people that never believe that barceonal will equalize the goals talk more winning they match, the game of soccer won't stop doing what it's been known for, though the rate out which Barcelona became aggressive in the die minute was a sign of taking up responsibility, there zeal to make a difference worked for them in the die minute, congratulations to them, benfica has to avoid the repetition of what happend in that match, there's no way there fans and mangement are gonna be proud of them in that performance of theirs and that's more reason they should improve to do better next time.

Beyond my expectations, the match would be that tight, Benfica did play very well even though in the second half and also in the final minutes of the match they started to lose consistency which made them lose this match, they even had to get a red card when the match was almost over. It's a shame they had to lose this match, if only Benfica could hold on longer, maybe the result would be different.

and with the three points in this match, even though there is still one match left against Atalanta, it seems like the ticket to the last 16 is already in Barcelona's hands.

while regarding Benfica, they still have to fight to ensure that they will advance to the playoffs. and in their last match, Benfica will again face a fairly tough opponent, namely Juventus.

Yes, that's right. The referee's decision in a match is absolute so we have to accept the referee's decision, that's football. Apart from all that, what is clear is that this match was very exciting, both teams scored hat tricks, both teams got penalties, there was an own goal, there was a goal in the final minutes. The best UCL match (so far). Apart from the intrigue, wrong decisions, and controversial referee decisions on the field, this is still how football should be, both teams scored goals.

However, even though Barcelona managed to make a comeback, it must also be admitted that Barcelona's defense was really exposed with through passes and less than smooth coordination in the back line. Barcelona was seen when there was no Martinez, their back line was not coordinated. Even though he was the unifying pillar at the back, Araujo could not be like that, especially when hit by an opponent's counterattack, Araujo was always the most panicked. Maybe this is what Barcelona must immediately fix in the future so that their journey in the UCL league is long and they can enter the semifinals, finals and even win the UCL this season.

I think there's a VAR currently in football so it must have been agreed by all parties, both the referee and VAR assistants before the referee would come to a final decision. Anyways, we all can agree that the champions league is one of the most interesting, if not the most Interesting tournaments in the world, it's so exciting and the match between Benfica and Barcelona was very interesting to watch it was like both teams where in the Semi-finals and battling to go into the finals but then Benfica fans would very much disappointed at the carelessness of their players infact someone who placed a bet on them would be so heartbroken cause how would they be leading by 3 goals and end up losing the match it show how careless the players are, I wonder how they couldn't defend 3 goals till the end, they allowed Barcelona to equalize the 3 goals and still get a come back by scoring 2 more to win the match, it's so shameful, kudos to Barcelona players anyways they showed that they're champions and fought till the last minute.

Barcelona won by a wide margin against Benfica, this match was very exciting. Barcelona were in a bit of a panic in the first half, with a 3-1 goal difference, I thought maybe Barcelona would not be able to repay this goal. But in the second half, when Barcelona responded, Benfica took the lead immediately after an own goal. If it was a difficult match to come back, Barcelona's strong performance and self-confidence brought them victory. Towards the end of the game and into extra time, they were able to score a great goal and Barca won by a 4-5 goal difference and collected 3 points, this match was a surprise and Barcelona's performance must be praised.
Barcelona did not win easily against Benfica but most of the time I felt like Barcelona might lose this match. Benfica took a 4-2 lead in the first 64 minutes. If the results are like this, then the team that will definitely be ahead has more chances. However, Benfica could not manage their defense well in the end. Barcelona scored a goal late in extra time to secure a 5-4 win. Had Raphinha not scored in extra time, the result of this match would surely have been a draw. When Raphinha scores, there are usually very few goals scored and the game doesn't go on for long after he scores. I can call Benfica an unlucky team on the one hand because to perform so well and be so far ahead in the last minute of the match is really like losing to luck.
We have seen many times that a team suddenly manages to score a goal even with a minute left in a football game, just like yesterday's match against Benefica when Barcelona scored a goal in the last minute and with that goal they won. If Benefica's defense could have put in a stronger performance, they could have drawn the match, but they couldn't. In fact, Barcelona's players attacked a lot and according to the status of this match, Barcelona were more advanced in terms of passing the ball. Barcelona came back in this match when they scored twice goals in the 86th minute and in the 96th minute. I think Barcelona managed to win the match with these two goals.

Champions League teams are really not just any team, for example during today's match, of course we have seen Benfica's match against Barcelona and this match was really exciting and entertaining because Benfica as the host appeared very impressive and Barcelona was behind by if I'm not mistaken at that time the score was 3 -1 for Benfica's advantage, but if the team and players don't have a good mentality, they will definitely give up in that situation and may face defeat. However, it is different from Barcelona, which has a strong mentality which always remains enthusiastic even though it was far behind Benfica at that time, but with full enthusiasm and the match was played with maximum strength, it finally produced good results which in the end Barcelona was able to win against Benfica with a score of 4-5 and This was a great match by Barcelona.

Source: https://bola.kompas.com/read/2025/01/22/05231938/hasil-benfica-vs-barcelona-4-5-barca-berjaya-dalam-drama-9-gol-di-stadion-cahaya
and honestly what I liked the most in this match was Raphael, he really was a savior for Barcelona and in the last minute he scored a goal which ultimately made Barcelona's score superior and of course Barcelona succeeded in getting 3 points. In my opinion, Barcelona will definitely have the potential to be a strong candidate to become champions in the Champions League and Flick as Barcelona's new coach will definitely want to bring Barcelona to become UCL champions. What do you all think, is it possible that Barcelona will be a strong candidate to become champion?
Benfica's performance last night was not only disappointing but unprofessional and also shameful, taking a three goal lead in the first half and loosing at the end of the day infront of your home fans is shameful and a show of disrespect to the fans that left their homes and businesses to come and show support to their home club. Barcelona once again gave their fans another masterclass showpiece which they would never forget in a long time, after conceding that third goal from the penalty spot, I thought it was over for the Spanish side but they didn't give up easily but they continued to fight until they got an equaliser and eventually got the winning goal at the last minute of extra time, making it the numerous times this season that they've had to come from behind to win.

Now we have VAR, this is an additional referee who has the ability to watch video replays and, if necessary, will inform the main referee that there is a need to review a certain moment. So you don’t just need to take the referee’s decision on faith, now we have the ability to see everything that happens. Of course, this does not mean that referees no longer make mistakes, but it certainly allows us to reduce the number of mistakes.
