I see Brest chances of winning this match as very small even though in the previous two games they managed to achieve two consecutive wins. The only reason I doubt Brest's quality is because they are inconsistent in maintaining their performance despite being in a less competitive League. Meanwhile, Leverkusen players are in full confidence after achieving an important victory over Frankfurt in the Bundesliga. The difference in level between the two teams allowed Leverkusen to dominate the match and achieve their third consecutive win in the UCL, especially since in the previous match they managed to achieve a crucial win over Milan.

This is why I don't get worried over their performance, because they will definitely go far in this league. Whatever performance that they put up in the group stage, is not the same performance they will display when the knock out stage starts. Ancelotti understands how to go about his matches in UCL to see that he wins the important matches.

This is more like an already established stuff in them, they make the best out of every situation they find themselves and give more priority to the champions league competition. Kings of the champions league they are are called for a reason and that reason is indisputable. They have had the highest cup in the competition and I don’t think any team have come closer to them so far. They are the perfect team I usually take as example of teams that perform differently in different competitions due to the nature of each competition and how they prioritize one above the other. You can’t use their performance in one of the competitions to judge them for the other one, when you do so, you’ll be misled and they’ll come at you when you least expected it. Even when their performance in the champions league is one of a kind, they’re still favourite for the La Liga every season. This club is just too good to even think less of them.
