A difference of 1 aggregate is not enough for Young Boys to qualify from the play off round because in the second leg they must beat Galatasaray again or get a draw, if the referee does not award a penalty maybe their match will be a draw unfortunately Galatasaray is very aggressive and and one of the players gets a red card so they are disadvantaged by the referee's decision but in the second leg everything becomes not easy if Galatasaray only wins by a difference of 1 goal they will take it to a penalty shootout to determine who the winner is, Young Boys and Galatasaray are both tough clubs so it is quite difficult to determine who deserves to win because all of them deserve to continue playing in the Champions League but only one of them will qualify.
Because both are tough clubs, that's what makes their match more interesting in the second leg later even though Galatasaray must be able to win by more than one goal because they lost one aggregate in the first leg. However, I am more confident in Galatasaray's hard work because the team will definitely not let Young Boys win easily at Galatasaray's headquarters even though their potential looks equally strong. But I think it will be a different story if they have to go to penalties in the second leg.

It's very disappointing how Galatasaray was ruined by the ref for the penalty which is hitting the leg first. And i think this time the handball decision is based on the vibes now. I hope they're removing this trash rule as soon as possible. This is because it gave no certainty to the clearance of handball.

Also, the decision to give a second yellow was really shocking to me, too. Any decision in this game makes no sense to me at all.
This is a very interesting match of course because in this match full of drama that finally resulted in five goals scored in the Young Boys vs Galatasaray match. I will not blame the referee's controversial decisions if you think so but in my opinion Galatasay's defense was very weak in this match and Young Boys really took advantage of this opportunity especially playing in front of their own supporters and they succeeded.

This defeat is not the end for Galatasay because they still have a chance in the second leg to be able to turn things around in front of their own supporters. Galatasaray still has a lot of time to evaluate their squad before the second leg starts especially the defense line and must be able to score a quick goal so that their confidence increases. Moreover, the Galatasaray squad is superior to Young Boys because Galatasaray has several star players who are experienced in dealing with situations like this.

Like Galatasaray's defense was so porous which led to conceding two goals in the first half and if not that Galatasaray's coach made a substitution and brought in Michy Batshuayi i don't know what would have been their fate because as soon as Batshuayi came in the 66th minute he scored in the 67th minutes and scored another goal in the 72th minutes which means had it been the coach brought him earlier possibly he could have scored a hat trick. The red card also affected Galatasaray even though it came towards the ending part of the second half but immediately Bardakci of Galatasaray got that red card the team became disorganized so the pressure led to the last goal they conceded but Galatasaray will likely win Young Boys when they play the second leg and the Coach should consider starting Michy Batshuayi because I saw he is a good player for the team so he can still have the opportunity of scoring when they face Young Boys again. Galatasaray have got more talented players than Young Boys so they can win in the returning leg.

When a new season starts and when different teams play a few matches in the beginning we get an idea about different teams and accordingly predict a team that this team can reach this level this season but everything can be said about Real Madrid. It's not just that Real Madrid have strengthened their squad this season, they always focus on strengthening their squad in all aspects. And the most important thing is that Real Madrid has consistency and each player has a good understanding with each player which is why they are successful in almost every match and they will be successful in the next season.
The description of the form of play is not only seen in the Champions League because there may be other factors such as consistency of play in the domestic league. Although sometimes that is not a guarantee for them to play well in the Champions League or vice versa for many teams. For example, Dortmund played not very consistently in the Bundesliga, but they managed to advance to the final round where they were ultimately defeated by Real Madrid. Likewise, Arsenal and Man City played quite consistently in the Premier League, but they failed in the Champions League.

There are many factors that make a team play more consistently, especially in the Champions League because the competition in that league is quite tight. Experience, mentality and players and coaches really determine how they are able to reach the end of the final as champions
If the same team plays in these two tournaments of champion league or local league then the team has to play 2 strategies for both tournaments. A team in the local league will fight against an opponent in the Champions League, but the team will not fight against that opponent, that is, the opponents in the Champions League will definitely be difficult. The local league usually has 38 matches but the Champions League tournament doesn't have that many matches, only a few matches are played and a few matches ensure whether the team will advance to the next round or end their Champions League journey here. The teams that we always consider as favorites for the Champions League are always the best teams in Europe and based on their performances, they are placed as Champions League favourites.

LOSC's victory in the first leg of the play-off round will make it easier for them to advance to the Champions League to fill the vacant place. They only need to get a draw or if they lose, as long as it is not more than 1 goal they will still qualify.
However, they must be careful with Slavia Prague because I am sure they will appear aggressive in the match in the second leg later. LOSC can apply a defensive strategy, but that is also quite risky if their concentration is not created very well. I myself predict that LOSC will be one of the representatives of Ligue 1 in the Champions League this season.
When I saw the fixtures if the UEFA Champions League qualifying games, predicting the winner of this particular tie was one of the easiest for me. Lille were only able to win with a 2:0 scoreline again Slavia Prague which to me was below expectations and will now travel to the home of the Czech club for the second leg. Slavia Prague at home will definitely want to fight for a comeback but I don't see that happening. If I'm to stake on that game, I'll go another Lille win. Do you think Slavia Prague have a chance?

The quality of football in a the league of any football nation most times manifest in the performance of the national team so I'm not surprised that Turkey did had a great performance in the recently concluded European Championship because football in the country's league have significantly improved. Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray failed to win or at least secure a draw in the UEFA Champions League qualifying game against Swiss club Young Boys but I think they have all it takes to turn the tie around and find a way to progress to the finals of the competition when they host Young Boys in the second leg next season
The modern football era does make many differences where any country has a potential player to play on a much better scene. Europe is the target of many players because there the development of football has been so advanced and one of them Turkey has gotten it. Sometimes the defeat obtained does not show anything because they can still rise in the next match and the defeat is also caused by Galatasaray players who get a red card.

Young Boys is also fortunate enough to get a penalty so they scored the winning goal in the match. The second leg will take place in Galatasaray so they will definitely try to get a full victory. In experience and players they have, Galatasaray should be easier to win home matches.

There are many variables that will make Lille qualify so convincingly in the second leg but I wonder if Slavia Prague can overturn the aggregate advantage at home later?

Honestly, I wonder what both teams will do to achieve their goals and if there are holes from each team it will worsen their fate. The defensive option is not always good and I think rather than doing that strategy it is better for Lille to continue attacking until the end. Because that will put Slavia Prague under pressure and vice versa if Slavia Prague plays an important role, it is not impossible that Lille will be an easy target for the hosts.
This match is still very difficult for them, in fact Slavia Prague has high consistency when playing at home, two goals alone are not difficult enough, but there are many ways for them to win the title ticket which is currently held by Lille, Slavia Prague seems to be doing everything for it and Lille will also defend as much as possible, but Lille is quite careless when playing away, will they be destroyed by Slavia Prague? I think so, Slavia Prague is a compact club in its competition and they are very often in the Champions League, unlike Lille, their mentality is quite high without isolating Lille, they are in good form in the last few seasons and Slavia is quite respected there. Looking at their track record I am sure in the second leg which will take place in Slavia Prague they will win because they have a balanced squad with Lille so there is no resistance to controlling one ball, Lille managed to win with a score of 2-0 in the first half and I think they will make a defensive system when they meet them in fact Lille also had quite a hard time beating them at home so I think Slavia Prague's chances of qualifying are very big they are at home what they do is quite tough so most likely they will grab a ticket there.

Young Boys managed to capitalize on their home game with a win, a result that is very good for them to start the match in the second leg. Young Boys players played a bit less well in the second half, Galatasaray managed to equalize before the home team managed to secure victory after the referee awarded them a penalty. Galatasaray still have a chance to turn things around when Young Boys visit their home base, they just need to step up their attack to get a goal in the first half. The defensive area needs to be tightly closed because Young Boys also wants to steal a goal at their home base, but if the Young Boys players are able to keep the score level, then they are entitled to advance to the next phase.
Galatasaray will definitely try to turn things around in the second leg which will take place at their home base although it might not be easy enough for Galatasaray. However, there is no other choice for Galatasaray other than to beat Young Boys with a better aggregate because I am also quite sure that Young Boys themselves will definitely try to score another goal at Galatasaray's headquarters because now Young Boys only have one aggregate lead based on the score in the first leg when Young Boys played at their home.

Galatasaray have what it takes to get win against Young Boys in the return match but they have to tighten up their defense so that they will not concede cheap goals again, they did not play well in the first half that was why they conceded 2 goals then during the second half M. Batshuayi came in an made a great change in the Galatasaray team by helping them to equalize the 2 goals but the last minute red card gave the home team the opportunity to win with a penalty kick. The second leg will determine if Galatasaray will progress or not.
this is exactly why champions league is always different, you can have what it takes to beat a team and still loose to the team yet you are still seen as the better side and the favorite of everyone, thou Galatasaray lost but they still had a better chance than young boys, lets hope like you said in the return leg, they will be bale to make up for it and proceed to the next stage of the games because this goals they did concede was much and its considered too if they end up in a tie, the goal difference becomes the yardstick for judgment. i did liked the fact that young boys were able to utilize opportunities as they came knowing what's at stake for them as the champions league is such a prestigious and honorable win for if they eventually get to win the trophy by the end of the season and that's why they weren't giving chances to any mistakes.

Yes, beating the opponent by two goals or scoring one and taking the game to extra time is not the most difficult task for a player. Besides, judging by this game, Galatsaray felt normal, they seemed to even dominate this game, but still managed to earn a penalty in their own goal and lose the game. At the end of the match the emotions of the players are especially sharp and it's normal to make a mistake at the end of the match, alas they did that

Galatasaray lost 3-2 to Young Boys, who are bottom of the league and winless, and left the round at home.Galatasaray conceded a goal in the opening minutes and closed the first half 2-0 down with a goal in the dying minutes. In the second half, Batshuayi scored 2 goals in 6 minutes immediately after entering the game and tied the match. In the last minutes, Young Boys managed to win with a penalty goal.Galatasaray made the round a little difficult, but the potential to defeat their opponent at home is high.

I was very surprised by the goals Galatasaray conceded at the beginning of the match. Of course, their opponent is not a weak team, but to be honest, I never thought they would lose this match. I was truly shocked after the first two goals. After scoring consecutive goals, I enjoyed football very much. Galatasaray's performance should have been with goal-scoring football like this. But the last goal was very sad. I think Galatasaray's chances are very high in the next match, I don't think they will lose again Smiley

Both teams play to win the game, so I am not surprised that Galatasaray lost this match, especially when played at the home of Young Boys. Having lost the first match has not compromised their path in the Champions League, there is the return match in Turkey to be played, and there Galatasaray will most likely let their strengths prevail, if they lose the return match as well I would be very surprised because on paper Galatasaray is much stronger than Young Boys

They seem like the team that is favourites to win on that game, there is no doubt about that and I am sure that they are going to play better than last time there is no doubt on that part neither. However, this game made many people realize that Galatasaray is not THAT much better, the difference was seen as huge, like somehow Galatasaray would dominate and win 3-0 or 4-0 type of game and this game made it sure that wasn't the case and even if they end up winning, we can say that it was closer than what people expected.

Next game, I am sure that a tie is a very big possibility, while 1-0 will be enough for Galatasaray to push it to extra time, I am sure that they are going to end up with wanting one more, and Young Boys do have a great offensive line, which means that they are going to end up with attacking more if they go down 1-0 as well, and they will just defend all game long with counter attack tries. So, this could be a game where both teams could score, I do not see a 0-0 as a possibility, I think a 1-1 would be more likely.

I think it wasn't that easy of a win for them on paper. It was the first leg of the match, and it was a home match for Young Boys. They are not the best team out there for sure, but you can't really write them off just like that. Galatasaray have good players for sure, but no game in football is certain. The funny thing is, the game finished with a controversial penalty. And if Galatasaray puts a solid performance in the home match in the second leg, things may turn around for their benefit.

If not for Ugrinic's controversial penalty, the game would have ended in a 2-2 draw, and things wouldn't seem as bad as it seems now. A lot to find out in the return fixture.

The odds for the return game are pretty obvious:

1.34 - 5.30 - 8.60

But considering that a draw is enough for Young Boys and any random goal puts Galatasaray in a catastrophic position, the return game could be very tense.
I don't know how controversial that penalty was, but I like the outcome of the game - at least now we know for sure that it will be a game of life and death, and not a formality as it could have been if Galatasaray had won 2-0 in the first game.

Nobody expected this from them. I also thought they would find the match very easy to win, but they ended up losing it. However, that is the magic of football. Sometimes things don’t go as we expect. Young boys really made a surprise appearance in this match. Although Galatasaray also tried to see that they won the match, luck wasn’t on their side. Let's see how Galatasaray continues their dominance with other clubs. By then, we will know how their performance will be, but as of now, it will be too early.

Indeed. I also expected an effective football by us to beat Young Boys. But we barely saved ourselves from a huge defeat.  Sad  We were terrible at defending... It took us too long to answer with goals also. Batshuayi is like a joker. When we use him in the right time he can make a huge contribution. Those goals were a life saver for us.

For the 2nd leg, I hope we can take control of the game in the 1st half already. Because I was so frustrated with my team in that half of the last game. It was like they weren't on the pitch and Young Boys were in a training game.

The second leg match will be a deciding match for both teams, for the young boys the second leg journey will be very difficult considering that they only won with a very small aggregate of goals so like it or not they have to be able to at least score a goal at home to Galatasaray even though it will be very difficult, Galatasaray is is a big team in Turkey and is famous for its awesomeness when opposing teams play at their home ground, so that is why it is very important for young boys to prepare themselves mentally well before visiting Galatasaray home, trailing by a score of 2-3 is not something that makes Galatasaray lose their chance to qualify for the champions league, because after all they only need two goals without conceding to ensure galatasaray qualify for the champions league this season and represent Turkey in European competitions.
I think Galatasary might be able to turn things around from the fact that the first leg was away at Young boys home ground and also possibly because of the late red card.

M. Batshuayi getting 2 goals coming from the bench would have been a momentum for them to get a winning goal or at least draw if not for the red card, I'm impressed by his performance and I hope he can replicate same form in the second leg.
I expect  much more from Galatasaray in their home ground  and so I think they will still qualify for the champions league.

“Young Boys” just turned out to be much more experienced than Galatasaray in qualifying for the Euro Cup and Galatasaray was still lucky that Batshuayi was able to score 2 goals in the end and leave Galatasaray in the game and the difference in 1 goal Galatasaray is quite able to win back, the main thing is not to play as in defense as in the first match and then the chances of getting out of the playoffs will be.
Both teams play attacking soccer and watching their games is quite enjoyable, so I think the return match will be very interesting.
With the squad they have, Galatasaray should have been able to win this match, but they made a lot of mistakes, especially after their player got a red card which allowed Young Boys to take advantage of this opportunity. Galatasaray with a team like that, losing to a team like Young Boys is certainly very sad.

There are several weaknesses of Galatasaray that I think need to be fixed, namely the position of the defenders because they are very easy to pass by the opponent, and the midfielders must be more creative in building attacks. If this can be fixed in the near future, I am sure Galatasaray will win in Istanbul. Because when Galatasaray plays in front of their own supporters, the opponent will not be able to beat them easily in Istanbul. So I think they can definitely make a comeback.
This game me lose some cash because I don't know something just played in my head that Galatasaray would win that game looking at how young boys have being struggling in their league and even their form but that was all changed after the game yesterday although I won't lie that Galatasaray really played with so much error but on a general I think the victory was well deserved but it's now going to be test for them because they would play with all focus when they travel to turkey to seal the deal.
Betting on Turkish teams is always dangerous because you never know how they will play in the end. For example, the same Besiktas in the Europa League three times led in the score and still could not win, so Turkish teams are suitable for those who like to take risks.
Although in recent years players from Europe and South America more and more often go to the Turkish league and in the same Galatasaray plays and Mertens and Icardi and Batshuayi and even returned from oblivion Hakim Ziyesh.
So gradually Turkish teams are gaining strength in European cups and even Jose Mourinho decided to try his luck and took charge of Fenerbahce.

The hype on Turkey teams is real right ? I mean , the way Turkey played at Euro it's no coincidence that people and bettors started to realize that teams from Turkey championship have real potential to actually make a great impression in European competitions. It's also been a while since we had Turk teams playing at the highest stage in Europe and this year both Fener and Galata have a real chance to qualify either in UCL or Europa League.  Cool

But at least, Galatasaray still have to fight bigger in the second leg later, because in the first leg that Galatasaray also lost. But indeed, even though Galatasaray lost in the first leg does not mean Galatasaray does not have a chance to be able to turn things around in the second leg later, because based on statistics also that Galatasaray still looks to have a good chance to qualify. Moreover, in the second leglater, Galatasaray will also play at home and  thus, it is another factor to make Galatasaray have a good chance of qualifying.

But even though these Turkish teams have a chance to play in the Champion League, it doesn't mean they will enter the competition for the trophy. Because I think, eventhough the Turkish teams are playing in the Champions League, it is likely that they will also have difficulties in the group phase. But indeed,it is at least an achievement for them to have  managed to play in the Champions League, even though they do not have a chance to go further,  but at least they can still make their best efforts and maybe they will be able to make a surprise.
