I don't understand a little bit about the basis of the parameters that Madrid should be favored over Liverpool, especially if we refer to Madrid's 2 matches in the Champions League. Madrid previously lost narrowly at Lillie's home, then fell at the Santiago Bernabeu by Milan. in the 5th round of the preliminary phase Madrid will visit Liverpool's headquarters, unfortunately some of their core players must be absent due to injury. as we all know, if Madrid needs full points against Liverpool. even so, Carlo Ancelotti's team still has the probability of bringing home 3 points to Santiago Bernabeu, unfortunately it won't be easy as we discussed. we can assume that Carlo Ancelotti will likely be aiming for victory for his team even though they are playing at Liverpool's headquarters. unfortunately, Rodrygo, Vazquez, Carvajal, Tchouameni, Alaba and Courtois did not participate in strengthening Real Madrid in this match. I think it's quite hard for Don Carlo to formulate a strategy so that his team can get full points, but in any case Real Madrid does need a win to determine the remaining matches they will play. In Liverpool's camp, this match is equally important when they will host City after meeting Madrid. As we generally know, Liverpool had a bad meeting based on H2H when playing against Madrid. As a new coach, Arne Slot certainly wants his team to win this match, especially since they are playing at home. They have the opportunity to defeat Madrid, plus Liverpool is on the right track. So, if Liverpool is slightly more favored, it is natural if we refer to both teams. Regarding the results of this match, that is another matter, we will find out when the 5th session of the Champions League qualifiers is held again.
To be fair Liverpool had a season where they won a lot more games, whereas Real Madrid hasn't been that great all season long so far. If we want exact numbers, Liverpool ended up winning 9 out of 11 games and made 28 points during that time at premier league, with 4 out of 4 games won at UCL as well. Whereas, Real Madrid had 12 games and they won only 8 of them and have 27 points, in la liga, so Liverpool made 1 more point in 1 less game at a much harder league, and at UCL we see Real Madrid be ranked 18th with 2 wins and 2 losses, when Liverpool is ranked first there.
So as we can see, both in league and in champions league, Liverpool is doing much better and that is why Liverpool is considered as the heavy favourites here, and I am guessing they will win too. Doesn't mean Real can't win, we could definitely see Real Madrid winning as well, we are just not going to end up seeing anything that simple at all right away, we need to make sure things are looking a bit better for real first but a shocking result or unexpected results do happen and this could be one of those.
