From defense to attackers liverpool players are very good at processing balls and kicks but Oblak is able to save his goal well.

There are so many funds at stake ranging from sponsorship to ticket fees, and this is one reason why the league will get postponed and not canceled.

Rather, i will prefer the postponement of the euro too,

@Cryptobrainboss you're absolutely right and again statistics give you an expected outcome. Liverpool and no team in the world are expected to go unbeaten, so Liverpool are paying for all their streaks now, which makes statistics normal in the end.

Football matches aren't won by statistics as there're different strategy to win a matches. A team might decide to sit deep to defend and counter attack their opponents when the opportunity presents itself resulting to them most likely winning the game. Atl Madrid are known for doing exactly that. That Liverpool dominated most stats is mostly due to the fact Atl Madrid allowed them to.

Concerning @Barcode statement, That Liverpool dominated the premier doesn't mean they should be the favorite to win the champion league. These are two different tournament with different atmosphere. Don't also forget, Watford destroyed they said demolishers you speak off.

History has a way of repeating itself but many thought it'll be impossible since Liverpool at anfield were previously impossible to defeat. They all forgot, Diego Simeone has never lost a champion league knockout stage game that doesn't feature Christian Ronaldo and that record still stand.

Liverpool fans should just thank God that Manchester city and other potential contenders for the title have just been poor this season if not the possibility of Gerrarding the title would had been in discussion assuming if the race was like last season.

Fantastic game, it was spectacular. Atletico players and Simeone once again are showing that when it comes to determination they know exactly what it means. I wouldn't blame Adrian, one of the goals was his fault, that's true, but let's face the facts - the guy wasn't even playing in West Ham United, Fabiański benched him as soon as he came to the club (imo, Fabiański as a second goalie in Liverpool could make huge difference, he's a perfect line keeper). Adrian is just not a great goalkeeper, that's all. If you look at the formation and positioning of certain players during the whole match, you can clearly see that every time Liverpool was attacking, one of the defenders - in the most cases it was Joe Gomez - was performing a vital role of the last defender. With Alisson between the bars, Liverpool is playing different, they can deepen their position on the field, to come even closer to the opponent goal, without having trust issues. Gomez would've played much higher, if Alisson was there.

Also - congrats to both teams, they did something great last night. Hope that UCL won't be cancelled.

What an incredible game that was yesterday. I'm so impressed with Atletico's determination and drive. They never gave up and never seemed overwhelmed. Congratulations to Atletico, and now they are my favorite to win the CL.

Liverpool has been having a great season, and I was sorry to see them drop out of the CL. They really played well yesterday and it was looking like they would win. I don't want to put the blame solely on the goalkeeper, but those first two goals could be called mistakes by del Castillo.

Good luck to LFC for the rest of the EPL, and better luck in the CL next year.

I doubt a team at Liverpools talent level would be fine by just letting the time run out. I mean sure that is a good strategy for Madrid maybe but it is definitely not a good one for Liverpool. I am just guessing Klopp has one style that works perfectly for what he has on Liverpool and he did the same for Dortmund as well, doesn't require worlds greatest talents because it is basically all team playing together instead of having a messi and letting him work. However that strategy may not be awesome at defending fully until game stops, it has to attack as well.

In any case, weirder things happens, so there is really nothing too shocking about it, Ajax destroying all good teams to go to semi-finals last year was actually bigger shock than this if you ask me, they were like teenagers when they did that Cheesy

Well that's also a type of game Klopp, Simeone has been doing it for years. Sometimes it does works and sometimes it doesn't and it worked for them yesterday.

Liverpool did good but as their standards I expected them to get more goals and get it done by the FT, not crashing down in OT.
