I can’t wait for Bayern vs Oly and I will definitely watch the match live in the Allianz Arena! 😁
the president of Bayern Munich (Uli Hoeness) officially resigned from his club but I'm sure it will not interfere with Lewandowski's game and friends. Bayern will definitely easily win at Allianz when they meet Olympiacos.. I think the match will be very exciting.  Smiley

Of course they will buuuut... Greek fans will create a great atmosphere!

I don’t think I could have picked a better group for LFC Cheesy
Napoli are a good team but we should crush Genk & Salzburg in our games against them. I’m looking forward to the CL again, it’s the best & most difficult club competition to win.

Good group for Liverpool.
Napoli is a strong opponent but I don't think that it would be any difficulty in beating them.
It is also good for Liverpool to have easy games in the Group stage in order to maintain their focus on Premier League.

@LFC I really want to meet Real though in the Last 16, still need revenge, for some reason! Over it of course, but want to close the books proper on that one;)

Yeah we owe Real & Ramos especially for the loss in Kiev, that trip hurt me in the pocket & the heart. I still haven’t got over it Sad

To be a bit more light hearted, look at Ramos & VVD arriving at the UEFA awards last night -

‘You vs the guy she tells you not to worry about’

Ramos turns up looking like Ellen DeGeneras on a night out.
VVD turns up looking like the next fucking Bond.

No disrespect to Real Madrid or Bayern Munich but I have a feels the guys in their groups won't feel as afraid as before. The fear factor is diminishing for these teams. They're still strong but more vulnerable than they have been in years.

@toma Yeah when I read that all the English teams were happy, I wasn't sure. Chelsea will wither against the youth of Ajax if they don't get their front 3 firing soon. But they will have enough time to do that I guess!

City or Spurs will be the happiest I think, and I say that because Napoli will fancy their chances again.

RIP Chelsea and Zenit

source: https://twitter.com/ChampionsLeague/status/1167120206344458240

My picks (to advance to the KO stages):

A) PSG, Real Madrid
B) Bayern, Spurs
C) Man City, Atalanta
D) Juventus, Atletico
E) Liverpool, Napoli
F) Dortmund, Inter
G) Benfica, Lyon
H) Valencia, Ajax

it will not be difficult for Real Madrid to get full points in Group A. PSG which might give Real Madrid fierce resistance seems to be focused on the issue of the transfer of Neymar, (Real Madrid is my favorite club)  Grin

group F is very scary and Slavia Praha is locked in Group F, very sorry for them "lol"  Cheesy

The group stages are here and some have got a favourable draw, while others will have to battle it out. The only exciting group is the F group, where one of the giants will bite the dust. I don’t expect Chelsea to qualify for the next round, even though they have got a easy group.

My predictions:

A) Real Madrid and PSG
B) Bayern and Tottenham
C) Mancity and Dinamo Zagreb
D) Juventus and Atletico
E) Liverpool and Napoli
F) Barcelona and Inter
G) Benfica and Zenit
H) Ajax and Valencia

I agree with all your predictions except the last one.
Why do you doubt about Chelsea?
In the match against Liverpool they really showed very good quality and was very close to win.
In my opinion, Chelsea, Ajax and Valencia will will fight each other for the two first places.
Yes, Chelsea lost probably the best player in the last 10 years but don't forget that Ajax lost even more important players.

Some fabulous matches are ahead for Football admirers.

Real Madrid vs PSG (RMA)

Barcelona vs BVB (BAR)

Juventus vs ATM (tough but JUV)

Can't wait for these matches to fire. I marked 17-18 September would be the first matchday of UCL 19/20.

I don't usually pay too much attention to the group phase of the UCL, almost every group has already being decided even before kickoff,  Grin, except an upset happens.

In Group F, G, and H though it's difficult to pick the team that will qualify alongside Barcelona, Lyon and Chelsea respectively as the other three teams in the 3 groups are quite capable of qualifying as well, unlike the other groups with two clear favorites.
The knockout stage is where things get interesting.

PSG and Real easy one group .Galata will fight but i am not giving them much chance
However if Mbape will pause longer  because of injury then maybe  we will have some emotions

Then Bayern and Spurs to qualify nice drawn for Spurs

Group 3 City for sure my next is Donieck

Juve and Atletico to qualify

Liverpool and  Napoli to qualify

Barca and Dortmund to qualify. Dortmund is stronger  than last season

Group G is very equal.Leipzig  has big ambitions i think they will qualify together with Lyon

Chelsea and Ajax from  last group

I am choosing Ajax over Valencia because i love Ajax at all

It is nice to see that a defender got some recognition and was awarded Player Of The Year Award. I am tired of the Ronaldo or Messi saga.

Groups D and F will see some great matches.
Juve and Atletico will battle it out for the first place.
I think Inter might squeeze past Dortmund for the 2nd place in Group F. Conte being the needed X factor.

There will be many haters who protest with the results of the best players. Many haters said that Van dijk did not deserve to get the title, starting from the reasons, bad perfomance in national team, not get EPL champion, and so on. But in my opinion, indeed the appearance of Van dijk was not perfect last season, but only Van dijk was the most appropriate compared to the others player last season. Win Champions league, Super Europe, is proof of that.

Bad performances in the national team?
They got to the final of the Nations League & VVD won the CL. Liverpool lost 1 game in the EPL all of last season, VVD was instrumental in Liverpool winning the CL & he was MOTM in the final.

Ronaldo flopped in the CL with Juve & Messi needed to help Barca score ONE away goal at Anfield in the semi final but couldn’t.

VVD is definitely deserving of the best player (for last season).

I hope Real won't face the same fate as last year when Ajax slaughter them.

It's very likely not be Ajax, this time around. I think they would struggle to qualify from their group as they are locked with pretty tough oppositions.
Would be interesting to see which minnow team rises up this season and adds the spice to the competition.

Chelsea should be very else they risk going to the the Europa League if they finish third in their group, I am actually tipping both Ajax and Valancia to make it to pass the group stage of the Champions League, Chelsea are weakened without their star player Hazard and they haven't made any signing to replace him as well.

You think 2 out of Ajax, Valencia and LOSC will advance before Chelsea?

And Barcelona not to overcome Dortmund and Inter?
yes and yes.

Obviously F group is the most interesting. Reaction of Slavia boss when he saw group that they got was priceless Cheesy.  While G and H groups looks very balanced and unpredictable.

Last two groups are very balanced each of them can pass in next CL round. Rest are stronger one. My opinion is that groups D and F will be most interesting to see which two team will go into next round. Other groups will be very possible to see strongest two teams. Also must mention that we will see so many derbies that it will be very enjoyable to watch.

I had to smile with him for minutes, I have to admit  Grin

Bad luck for them lol.

I think getting a draw is difficult enough for them, but it would be great if they can win at least one of their home games.

it will not be difficult for Real Madrid to get full points in Group A.

Confidence is reasonable, but overconfidence is not. I hope Real won't face the same fate as last year when Ajax slaughter them.
