Chelsea vs Valencia, Napoli vs Liverpool, Dortmund vs Barcelona...As a neutral, I don't know what to watch lol I don't remember the last time we had such a start in the CL with so many good games.

But I think I'll watch Dortmund, I have a feeling Barca's defence is going to struggle a lot against Sancho, Reus, Paco, and Brandt. Plus, to win @2.82 is pretty decent tbh. If I were to go for a three team parlay, i would add Liverpool and Chelsea (all to win), the latter should have an easy game against a team that's pure anarchy after they sacked the manager last week.

What are your picks?

Finally Chpions league starts today and there is 2 big matches tonight - Borussia - Barcelona and Napoli vs Liverpool.
Messi probably will play tonight, maybe not whole match, but it's big factor. Barca results is unstable so far, so I don't know what to expect from this match. I think draw wouldn't be a bad score for us.
Napoli - Liverpool. LFC looking great so far, while Napoli have some problems in defense - they conceded 7 goals in 3 games in Serie A. Odds for LFC win looks nice.
I think we will see wins of Salzburg, Inter, Lyon and Ajax, while Chelsea - Valencia game looks tricky.
The facts you said are true.
I myself even had difficulty predicting this match. And it's regrettable if these two matches end in a draw, I hope one of them will win like Liverpool and Barcelona. This is just my prediction, maybe we will see a surprise later.

New season start today. Finally. Are we gonna predict some semis for CL and EL, maybe. To see some team into this.
For the moment think we will see again usual suspect for the semis, my pick for CL will be Liverpool, Barcelona, Juventus and probably Manchester City, they could use semis about now.

For Europe league cant predict cuz we have team from champions league entering there after group stage and its hard to predict.

All of your picks seem super reasonable but let's remember that this is Champions League and the last edition showed us how unpredictable and by all means great it can be. Maybe Ajax is not capable of repeating the great journey, though maybe someone else is? What do you think? In whom do you see the biggest underdog of this edition?

If you have forgotten Juventus have Ronaldo playing for them who knows Atletico Madrid well, and he’ll try and win it on his own if required.
Ronaldo has a history in scoring goals against Athletico and I do hope it continues, though there is every livelihood that it may not come into play in this game, this sort of match looks so much like a draw to me, as the both teams would be rather too careful so as not to kick off their UCL season on a bad note.

I think this is the biggest match of the first matchday and it's the one everyone is eager to watch, I'll be predicting this one in favor of Athletico, I think they have a slight edge over juve this season, still early though, but I believe they'll win: 2:1.
I couldn't agree with you more ... both teams atletico madrid and juventus tend to play defensive,  Atletico Madrid well known the most less conceded among top European clubs and Juventus itself in the last game having a frustrated match against fiorentina that ended 0-0 with cristiano have 0 shot attempt in the game.

Fair to say that this game would a little bit boring with zero goal scored , a good odds on draw or if you want a little more risk try for under 0.5 goal  Grin.

For the tonight game there's Borussia Dortmund vs Barcelona which I personally would wait Barcelona to conceded... so I could get higher odds for Barcelona to make a comeback or at least make it draw  Grin .

Another match chelsea vs Valencia.. for now both is on same level as the underdogs , I would love to go for over 2.5 goals since chelsea defensive recently are so awful and hopefully my team Chelsea could win this one.

You might watch it, but friend, do not count on us, we are the Südtribüne and we will welcome Barcelona tonight, crossing fingers that our black and yellows will give Barca a though battle tonight.

In the Champions League first day tonight and tomorrow night we already have two giants couple playing each other which are Atletico Madrid vs Juventus and Psg vs Real Madrid.I think these are the main events to watch and I think Atletico Madrid will repeat last year win against Juventus while I think a draw will be in Psg game.

If you look at the previous season it is true that Juventus can come back from athletico Madrid with Ronaldo's big role there.

Pjanic and Costa are two of the top 6 players with the highest key passes per game last season.[1] Other players that they could use to fill their passer role could be Juan Cuadrado or Dybala (based on key passes stats alone), or Ronaldo itself.

They could play with 4-4-2 and left Mandzukic and Ronaldo upfront and only use 1 overlapping full-back to prevent Atletico's counter.

A terrible week for Juventus, 2 broken KEY players PJANIC and DOUGLAS COSTA!
They probably can't recover for the match, the less serious one should be Pjanic's. They will soon do an MRI for both (flexor lesion).

Juventus will be lucky if can draw this match.
If these 2 players will not be called for Madrid the odds will drop for Atletico's win. For sure.

The match is on Wednesday at the Wanda Metropolitano.  Cry

@coinlocket$ indeed it was a terrible match as they not only drew, but they also lost two key players to injury before a difficult clash against Atletico Madrid. However I don’t expect them to play for a draw as their squad is strong enough to battle it out for a victory. If you have forgotten Juventus have Ronaldo playing for them who knows Atletico Madrid well, and he’ll try and win it on his own if required.

This is difficult to predict. Juventus and Atletico Madrid both have great players. I hope that the match will not end in a draw. There must be someone who loses and wins.

If you look at the previous season it is true that Juventus can come back from athletico Madrid with Ronaldo's big role there.

Very curious for us to look forward to this big match.

It's true that those players are key players for Juventus. I think that Juventus is going to play on the counter attack and try to score. As it is an early game in the season a draw is the most probable result for both teams.

Leipzig very unpredicted, at the moment they are topping the Bundesliga standings.  We will see what surprise they will make at UCL.

Leipzig is a good team imo. They're more or less like Ajax. Hopefully, they can go to semis at least. Would be great if they can win the Bundesliga at the same time.

Bayern and Dortmund aren't that consistent in the early stage of the season. And just like the old saying said, those who win are those who are consistent, not the one who's strong in the paper.

Leipzig is kinda inexperienced also, not much shown in international stages and with Nagelsmann a new coach this season, I wouldn´t bet much on them, but they can finish this group as 2nd or 3rd in my opinion.

Bayern and Dortmund do struggle in the first 3 weeks, but I don´t see Bayern faling in this -kinda- easy group, another story for Dortmund obviously, unfortunately  Undecided

Emre Can was disappointed not to be included by Juventus in the 2019/2020 Champions League squad. Can accused Juventus of breaking its promise.

Juventus released their squad for the 2019/2020 Champions League. Of the 22 players registered, there is no Can name.
"I was very surprised. Our conversation was only a minute and I was not given a reason. That made me angry and disappointed," Can told Bild as reported by Italian Football.
Maybe this is karma for leaving Liverpool because they want to play in a better caste, have a greater chance of winning the champions league. instead Can was dropped from the list of players in the champions league. even though in my opinion Can is a great midfielder, I'm surprised why Sarri didn't include him in the squad.

They are the most efficient team in Bundesliga.
They are on top of the league without any need of making any expensive signing.
This is what it gives them good opportunities of topping the Champions League group. Leipzig can do the same as they do it in Bundesliga every season.

Group G is the toughest and most unpredictable, But I'm pretty sure Leipzig would make it through.
