Personally without the El Classico I think Chelsea has more chances of going through Real Madrid in the champions league. If anyone thinks because of the what happened between the Spanish giants that Chelsea is the favorites is wrong. That's not how football works. The game between Chelsea and Real Madrid in my opinion is a different ball game.

Look at what the English teams are doing. Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea are all in the champions league and at the same time are topping the English premier league. English clubs are showing a lot of promise in the Uefa champions league.

Bayern Munich and Liverpool are the biggest favourite teams in next round of the Champions League. Benfica can't compete with Liverpool at the same level. They didn't do so against Ajax too but they were just lucky to eliminate them. And Bayern Munich are in the same situation with Liverpool against Villarreal. Maybe the match in Spain would end in a draw. But the match in Allianz Arena can be one-sided.
The two teams that are liable to qualify to the semi-finals of the champions league with ease are Bayern Munich and Liverpool. Their opponents are minor teams that have managed to reach this far in the champions league because of a defensive strategy and luck. Let's see how Benfica would eliminate Bayern Munich, which are fierce in the league. On the other side, Liverpool would knock-out out Villarreal though I think the match will be a little difficult for the reds. Villarreal team are good when playing against big teams, they know how to tackle, how to enforced counter-attack. let's wait and see what would be the outcome of the minor teams.

It is almost certain that these 2 teams will advance to the UCL semifinals easily considering that they will only face teams whose performance is relatively below them at the moment.for example, the Bayern Munich vs Villarreal match, of course, many parties predict that Villarreal will not be able to. compensate for the giant bavarian game as they did against Juventus, the Liverpool vs Benfica match will also be the same on paper Liverpool are very difficult to beat by representatives of Portugal Benfica, as Benfica's qualification to the quarter-finals was just a mere luck, even though in the world of football anything can happen but not with these 2 teams

Despite the fact that Bayern and Liverpool got unfair fixtures, they are already very strong and the most favourite contenders. Now that their fixture is looking easy, both of them will surely scale through thereby making round 4 more dangerous. Though it is not fair to underrate any club at this stage of champions league, but it is so obvious that Benfica can not dismiss Liverpool in champions league and neither will Villarreal do it to Bayern.
The fixture that will be tough is between Chelsea fc and Real Madrid fc.
Of course, we should not underestimate Villarreal and Benfica. Bayern and Liverpool seem to be favourites. I still want to remind you that Villarreal came here by eliminating Juventus. They will have a very difficult game against Bayern, but remember that Bayern is a team that has taken surprise defeats in the Bundesliga. If it happens on Villarreal day, we may see a surprise in this matchup. I agree that the hardest match is Chelsea-Madrid.

^ Come on guys, you really think Real gets distracted for a blip in La Liga? They probably knew they were coming into that game with their weakest side in years against a resurgent Barca. And they would happily have rested Benzema even if he were half-fit, in preparation for Chelsea.

Chelsea are the favourites, and rightly so, but Real have experience and streetsmarts. Way too much of both to be affected by the El Clasico sidequest.
They had same experience but couldn't win over Barcelona.
Repeating the same thing for Chelsea will be very embarrassing as they will be knocked out once more by the same team in two years.
Despite all the happenings, Chelsea are a very focused team and still hitting the hammer on the nail.
Real madrid just got injured at the Bernabeu after being beaten by Barcelona 0-4. Ancelotti will not repeat the same mistake against Chelsea in the Champions League quarter finals, winning the UCL trophy is Real Madrid mission with Ancelotti this season. This is the Champions League, the atmosphere is very different from the domestic league. Real madrid will try to win this match, as well as avenge their defeat last year.

My expectation from the Chelsea - Real Madrid draw is that Real Madrid can move Chelsea out of this tournament this time. They had a bad experience against Chelsea last season. I don't think that the history will repeat itself here. We are all seeing a much stronger Real Madrid in this season until this point. We all saw how they destroyed PSG despite being in a bad situation first. And I don't see the same Chelsea in this season. I don't feel like they can eliminate Real Madrid once again by this level of performance.
Real Madrid has been lost in El Classico Laliga. Will it also give influence to the mental of the players? Although maybe they purposely did not play hard because they want to save their power to play against Chelsea.
But exactly, bot Real Madrid and Chelsea are a big clubs, they may be drawn in the first leg, but something interesting and surprising may be also existed during the game and probably will be a surprising result of the game. At least, they must let all power to face each other in the field and to prove wihc one is better
I would like to see how Real Madrid would have destroyed Paris Saint-Germain if it hadn't been for Donnarumma's dude trick and the subsequent collapse of the entire game of the club from Paris Wink Also, a lot will depend on whether Benzema will participate in the match, because Real Madrid with Benzema and Real Madrid without Benzema are two big differences and the current El Classico showed all this with great clarity. Therefore, for me personally, the result of the match between Real Madrid and Chelsea is by no means obvious, despite the bright victory of Real Madrid in the match with Paris Saint-Germain, which until a certain time was also by no means obvious.
Real Madrid were really out of depth in the game against Paris Saint-Germain until Donnarumma’s mistake brought them right back in the game. Makes you wonder what would have been the fate of Real Madrid if that mistake never happened. This is me not taking anything away from Real Madrid, they are actually a fantastic side and would be a solid match for any team in the world right now. The bright season which Benzema is having collaborating with Vinicius best season in his professional career is something no team in the world savor coming against.

I don't think real Madrid performance in the El Classico should make Chelsea feel more confident that they are going against a weak side. Real madrid without Benzema is ineffective, Benzema would have made a difference if he was in that fixture. I hope Benzema will be fit before the Chelsea fixture

On the paper Bayern and Liverpool obviously the favourite especially for Bayern that since group stage they were unbeatable and if there is no other factors such as injured players then Bayern should be can beat Villareal but they have to carefull that Villareal seems can be considers as mediocre team which is very troublesome for the big team although they are not the favourite but Villareal can successfully elimination big team Juventus

Bayern Munich and Liverpool has performed well in this tournament to achieve something good at the end of the season. Based on what Liverpool coach is doing right now, show that Liverpool will not miss this season champion title because their coach is doing everything possible to achieve their desire in this season. Benfica and other teams cannot stop Liverpool at this point  because  Liverpool are fully prepared to win their next match to put more smile on the eyes of their fans worldwide. It will be difficult for Liverpool to end up draw in their next match than to use all their skills to achieve victory at the end of the game.

true, Liverpool for example surprised me a lot.
He had a cool head and was able to manage the advantage.
I didn't like this (for fun) but it denotes a lot of experience, a lot of patience and a great maturity of mind

Maybe a bit different for Chelsea. In the past, they played enjoy without the pressure because they haven't the trophy, but now they have the burden as defending champion, I'm not sure they play loose even as host on 7th April. Real Madrid looks on fire and Benzema's performance is still very good, but Ancelotti sometimes is playing too defensive where is the possible draw or loss with 1 different goal.
Believe it or not, I feel like they didn't feel the pressure last year neither. I mean of course they wanted to win, but they were constantly seen as underdogs along the way against most teams. Which resulted with them not being favorites and not having that pressure and if they lost, people would have probably said "figures!" and leave it at that.

In the end, they are much better this year and they do have that pressure this year basically but people still see them as not the favorites, and that is why they have the same type of relax mentality or should have. I mean how many teams have won it twice in a row? Not that many and that is why it would be alright if they lost.

I think that Manchester City - Atletico Madrid can be an interesting draw too. Because Atletico Madrid started to improve their performance recently and they are in a lot better condition these days. Their position in the La Liga is not the best for them but their performance there lately has been impressive. And in the Champions League, they are doing a great work too. Manchester City are still the absolute favourite team to advance maybe but they absolutely shouldn't underrate their opponent. In the other case, things can be more difficult for them.
No doubt with their game against Manchester United and having very good fight back in La Liga now they are big threat for any team with their tight defense tactics and having very good attack as well now we can watch another very interesting competition after we have very entertaining in last round between Real Madrid vs PSG where mostly peoples were having feeling that PSG will throughout Real Madrid but at the end in just ten minutes all things changed very dramatically for Real Madrid same can happen here with Manchester City because they also have luck like PSG.

Now it's good time for them to having their end of journey into this Champions League for final between Chelsea vs Liverpool because we already have one final between these two and two more can expected with their current form and quality.

Chelsea is a team that should not be underestimated. They recently won the Champions League, and in that season they were definitely not favorites to win the tournament. What they showed in the tournament then was very convincing. Didn't they easily win at Real Madrid with 0-1 or 0-2? That should have been 0-4 then. And in London 0-0 I seem to remember. Real didn't stand a chance against this roughly comparable team in those 2 games.
Now things are different at every club including the coach too, like the current Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti who has a lot of experience in drafting players for the Champions League and that has been proven in the past before Zidane became Real Madrid coach last season. So obviously there will be a difference for this season at Real Madrid even though what Real Madrid are up against is last season's trophy winners.
Experience is an important factor now because indeed with experience here at least they can understand better what to do but on the other hand talking about coaching of course Tuchel also knows how this will be dealt with. He is one of the best coaches right now in my opinion and his experience at UCL cannot even be underestimated. Last season, Chelsea was unseeded to win the title and it is possible that the opportunity is still there now, although I would prefer Madrid to continue to progress.
As for Chelsea's result in the Champions League, something concrete can be said only after the end of the season, if, of course, Chelsea can stay in the Champions League until the very end of the season Wink For me personally, both teams, Chelsea and Real Madrid, for various reasons, are teams of riddles this season and I do not fully imagine what stage of the tournament they can reach. On the one hand, these teams have great potential even to win the tournament, but on the other hand, teams like Liverpool or Manchester City have even more potential for me personally and I would prefer these teams.

Atletico Madrid are very strong defensively and have quite a troublesome counter attack. Pep Guardiola may find it difficult to make an attacking strategy and make tactics to get a gap between Atletico Madrid back line, but whatever it may be this first leg Manchester City will play strategy casually to take a meaningful opportunity to win this game. I think Manchester City will win but a bit difficult too.

Honestly, I have zero expectation from Real Madrid to lose their focus and have problems about their targets this season. Just because they lost to Barcelona by a score like that, it is not the end of the world for Real Madrid.
Yes, being defeated by Barcelona doesn't mean Real Madrid will lose again in UCL. Instead, Real Madrid will prepare more carefully and evaluate why they can lose against Barcelona yesterday. Losing in La Liga can be a good lesson before the match against Chelsea in UCL. Real Madrid has experienced players and a brilliant coach that can surprise the Chelsea squad.

When we take all of these into account, I believe in them to eliminate Chelsea here. Real Madrid seem to be a stronger team than them.
If Real Madrid can play with all their key players, no doubt they are stronger than Chelsea. But if Benzema is still injured and cannot play, Chelsea must be the favorite to win the match. If think the Benzema factor will be very crucial in this match.

Real Madrid will stay beat PSG again even if they fix that tie for 10 more times, it was obvious that Real Madrid were more experienced in approaching games of that magnitude compared to the PSG side whose coach is even a glorified average coach. It could be true that this Real Madrid is just a Swansea team without Benzema because they obviously struggles when he's not playing but for the El classico, I think they didn't expect Barcelona to be that good.

You never can tell or predict accurately, sometimes the smallest team when it comes to performance defeat the big team which surprises everyone. PSG is a good team,  many didn’t expect Barcelona will defeat Real Madrid  very well.
