Many have dismissed the chances of smaller or less popular clubs to reach the semi-finals since most of them were drawn against the top clubs in europe. I still would love to see more surprises and teams like Atletico Madrid could pull it off. Imagine bringing down two Manchester clubs in one season hehe.
Chelsea - Real Madrid draw is a really close one I believe. Real Madrid seem to be much more serious for the title this year. And they have proved it by eliminating PSG already I believe. PSG were a huge target to eliminate for them. But Chelsea shouldn't be seen as an easier target. Because it shouldn't be forgotten that they were the champions of last season. Real Madrid should get at least a draw in the first leg to have a bigger chance. They would play much stronger in Santiago Bernabeu after that.

Just as imagined, teams with the possibly best chance to win, ended up not facing each other all that much. Maybe Madrid vs Chelsea could be a bit of a trouble but I still see Madrid as the team leading La Liga and beat PSG to get here so that should be normally not that hard for them. All in all I agree that the semi-finals should be Madrid, lfc, City, Munich.

Underestimating or not I think there are two meanings to be had, is it really an understatement or indeed statistically have a better chance or can be said about winning on paper. I think you understimate Benfica too much. Yeah, LFC is big favorites, but I woludn't say that Benfica don't stand a chance. They already kicked out Ajax, which is very solid team this season. IMO, Bayern got easiest opponent. Villarreal is dark horse of tournament, they already eliminated Juventus quite unexpected, but I don't see chances for them against Bayern.
