I think it will be difficult for Real Madrid to qualify for the next round of the Champions League. Despite their vast experience in the Champions League, Madrid do not have a very strong squad for this level of play. Psg are more motivated to win, and they have a stronger squad than Madrid. They may be able to win the home game, but in the end, PSG will go to the next round.
No doubt they have not big names in their team currently but still it's not easy match for PSG because with big names they are also having some troubles to beat teams and Real Madrid is also in very good shape, and they can give some serious shock to them for having another big setback for their dream of having this title into their wallet.

We still have many days, but things are heating up very quickly about this match and both teams are doing their best for win I believe if Real Madrid manage to have some good performance in away game then surely they can win and quality for next round they have no pressure for La Liga title as they are leading, and their opponents are struggling very badly for having some better results and going near to them for challenge but right now it's not going good for them as well.

It is actually very hard for me to predict which team is going to win because on paper PSG looks mighty strong but when we compare the results I think we can say that the results are pretty mediocre considering their squad.

We can certainly say that there are some problems in the PSG squad. But obviously not too much big of a problem. I sure know that PSG are motivated.

If we talk about Real Madrid having not much tension about the league title then PSG should have almost no pressure about the league title because they are leading by much more points than Real Madrid. I have to say that on paper PSG looks really good but I am really not sure about the match.

real madrid don't have strong players? are you kidding about this?
in terms of expensive players maybe PSG is more expensive but with the quality of players I don't think they are too much different and even if we look at some of PSG's current players are former Real Madrid players and I think of course this can be an advantage or even a weakness.
The selfishness of the players at PSG is still very strong and it is not uncommon for their internal conflicts to be the result of their own selfishness.

If I understand correctly, Neymar is still recovering from injury, Messi is already in the ranks, but his game is far from the one he showed in Barcelona. The only one holding the level is Mbappe, but Real Madrid have corresponding players who are consistently good, so I agree with you that PSG has more stars only on paper. These will be equal games and no one here can be considered a favorite.

I think the decision of this game will be won in the details. A well-marked corner, an incredible free-kick, or a very well-crafted play where everything goes well.
Afterwards, it will depend on the health and mental state of the players of both teams.

In turn, the bookmakers, point to the victory of PSG, because of its squad. In terms of squad, it's better than Real Madrid, there's no doubt about that.

Most bettors look at names rather than their actual strength at the moment. Bookmakers look at the opinion of betters and give such odds to be profitable for any outcome. I read about this algorithm of work in a set of sources. Therefore, the predicted results very often have nothing to do with the real ones. I think after the first match there is a high probability that the favorite in this pair will change.

PSG - Real Madrid would definitely be a great game. These teams both like to play an attacking football. Taking this into account, we might watch many goals in both of the games of the draw. Real Madrid are really an unpredictable team. I see them as one of the candidates of the title. If Chelsea became the champions last season when not many people were waiting for it to happen, why wouldn't Real Madrid do it too?  Grin  But it is still difficult of course. They have PSG as an opponent which are one of the biggest candidates.
Real Madrid will always be my favorite in winning this tie, I am really disappointed at how psg have been performing, although they do win but they struggle to and I am just disappointed that after all the money step they are still not up to the standard that would have wanted, having big players that cannot help the team defensively doesn’t help always, because sometime the game wouldn’t go their way and they might end up loosing or drawing. So for me Real Madrid will win considering the amount of  experience they have in this competition. Although  reverse might be the case but I stand with Real Madrid.
The match will be tough very tough, but I think PSG have better  squad than Madrid but they are still losing games in the league and playing pooring, love to see Ramos back in the Santiago bernaube  and I we also like to Lionel Messi performance.but let's not get that the latest coach coaching Madrid right now is  ancelotti with his experience he can overcome Pochetino in this game

The Champions League last 16 match is only two weeks away, and now it is reported that PSG are still monitoring Neymar condition to make sure he can play against Madrid later,

Many local news media said that Neymar was not certain to play against Madrid in the first leg. I don't know for the second leg. Neymar's injury may be a blessing for Real Madrid. PSG's will be diminished. Maybe they will rely on Messi and Mbappe to beat Real Madrid. Psg's first leg will be played at PSG's parc de princes home. Interestingly Madrid will meet with Ramos. At least playing in France, Madrid should be able to steal a point for the 2nd leg. This match will be very exciting, of course, I can't wait to see it.
I don't think the absence of Neymar will affect Psg's performance. I mean, they have other big players like Messi and Mbappé who will be playing the game. And If they play more carefully in the game, they might also win against Real Madrid. Although, without doubt, the absence of Neymar will boost Madrid's morale about winning. However, it will certainly be a big fight between the two team in the first leg. Although, PSG is probably at advantage because it their home match.

In fact, it seems to me that PSG had better results when the big three, Messi, Mbappe and Neymar, did not play together.  Grin
It's no secret that none of them three really like to play in defense and in a way it's always a problem for PSG when they play against top European teams in the Champions League.
This could very well be seen in the match between PSG and Manchester City last year.
Therefore, the absence of Neymar is probably not such bad news for PSG  Grin

The number of star players in one club makes the dressing room situation very difficult to overcome and makes conducive a very difficult thing. Currently, it is like the picture in the PSG dressing room, especially with the presence of Messi, making PSG increasingly dominated by star players, but on the one hand, almost every PSG striker from Neymar, Messi to Mbappe tries to impress by relying on individual skills without teamwork.
Yes, having too many stars players sometimes leads to a problem. Since each star player probably has their own ego and is too busy thinking about his performance. It may bring bad impacts to the team because they don't focus on their performance as a team, but as an individual. In this situation, the coach and captain have a big role to deal with the problem. I don't think the current PSG coach and captain have the capacity to handle those star players. The ideal coach may be Zidane, and the captain is Ramos.

I agree with you. Having extra star players is not always beneficial for a team. Unless players can build a friendly relationship between each other. An example of this is the Manchester United team. Lots of star players on the team yet the performance is like an average quality team. The coach is not able to stabilize the team.
If PSG management gets Zidane as their coach then it will be very good for their team. He is very experienced. At the same time, the team will benefit if Ramos or Messi takes over as captain. Because they are senior and experienced players.

It will be a very difficult match. The offensive line of both teams is very good. I think we will watch two games with lots of goals. Now, whichever team scores more goals will be the side that passes the round. Real or Paris SG, it doesn't matter. A team will show their strength and the team that passes this elimination continues until the final. This is a match that can be played in the final. I am sure that all eyes will be on this match while the champions league qualifiers are played in the world.
That's right, I'm also looking forward to the round of 16 match for the Champions League this time because the two best teams will play really well in that round too and hopefully one of them can win even though personally I prefer the Real Madrid team to win that match in the 16th round of the Champions League later.

Neymar's absence will definitely affect the match. However, this will not affect the players of PSG. Because Neymar has been injured for a long time. PSG is now a full team without Neymar and PSG is performing well enough without Neymar. However, we should not forget that PSG's opponent is Real Madrid. Their gameplay and strategy are excellent even though their team has fewer star players compared to PSG. Though the coach is very experienced. Neymar is a talented player, if he is in the team, maybe he can manage to do a little more attack in the defense of Real Madrid. This might have made it easier to beat Real Madrid.

This seems to be one of the reasons why Pochettino would like to change clubs at the end of the season. Because he was tired of the situation when Neymar and Mbappe are the main faces in the club's locker room, and then Messi and Ramos were added, who also claim to have a special attitude towards themselves and their wishes. That is why Zidane is seen as the figure who will be able to unite all this motley group of stars into a single team, thanks to his authority as a great player, and already had similar experience in Real Madrid. Now it remains to find out Zidane's opinion on this issue, because as far as I know, he has not yet officially announced his future professional plans.

The french champions has a great desire to win the champions league, putting Karim benzema and Vinisius jr out will be the best thing to defeat them.
They are much more important, it'll be a very tough game as the likes of Modric, kroos be are still in around.
They the french champions are present in in their number,I do want them.to win the champions league bro

I don't think the fact that Mbappe will be playing against a potentially future club will have any effect on his performance. He's not a Real Madrid player yet, and if he plays well and brings a result, PSG will definitely be happy and pleased with the player(and the player even more so, because of the extra cash), and Real Madrid will want to buy him even more. However, thanks to this match, an equally interesting one was cancelled. MU-PSG, where Messi and Ronaldo could have met. It's been a long time since their last rivalry....
This does not negate the fact that Real Madrid would not mind having Mbappe in their squad right now and even made some efforts to do so. However, Paris Saint-Germain did not agree to the offer and embarked on a risky path, on the one hand not strengthening the opponent before the full-time match, on the other hand losing good money and the prospect of releasing the player for free as a free agent. I also have no doubt that Mbappe will play at full strength against his potential future employer, but on the other hand, human psychology is a rather confusing thing and therefore some elements of the subconscious may surface that may eventually interfere with events and still interfere with the football player's game.

If he deliberately doesn't play to his full potential, I think he'll be in trouble at the club. For example, they will take away his playing practice under the pretext of injury (at least that's what they tell the fans), I don't think it will be a problem for the club. I don't see anything wrong with the situation for Real, they will just make sure they need the player once again

Even if Neymar is there, I guess we will see a huge fight from Real Madrid and TBH, I'm hopeful that Madrid will make it at the end. Madrid is having a nice season in La Liga. Vini is playing great. Their front line isn’t that bad either & the mid is one of the best. It will not be easy for PSG regardless of who is playing.
I feel that Madrid's attack and midfield are very good at the moment, but indeed they also need to pay attention to their back line.
because they sometimes forget to pay attention to that, for example in the La Liga round against Elche yesterday and it will be a big loss if they still don't fix it, especially if you look at their opponent, PSG, whose attack style is the same as them.

PSG and Real Madrid are both quite safe in their respective leagues where both teams are both leading the standings with a few points difference from the other teams. They will certainly try their best to win the first leg of the Champions League in mid-February, but not only Madrid have a chance to win but PSG must also have the same opportunity.

If Real Madrid has Vinicius who is playing well, then PSG has Mbappe who is also playing quite well. Both teams have good defence, midfielders, wingers and strikers and I think only strategy and mentality can get either of these teams through to the next round. It is known that Real Madrid have a good mentality as a team that has won many Champions League titles at the moment, but PSG will not let it go easily this season.

According to news circulating, Neymar did suffer an ankle injury during the match against St Etienne, 28 November 2021 and so far has missed 11 matches in all competitions.
And to face Real Madrid in the first leg later, it is still uncertain whether Neymar will play or not despite the positive news regarding the development of his injury.
although in the match later without Nyemar PSG can still rely on Kylian Mbappe and Mauro Icardi and Lionel Messi who in my opinion can still be relied on to break through the Real Madrid defense, and I believe this match will be fierce and full of drama.

I think if Neymar stays injured during the first leg, I think it will be huge news for Real Madrid.

Because, you know, PSG front trio is now the most lethal trio in the world and any player (Messi, Neymar or Mbappe) can singlehandedly win them any game.

So, if Neymar is absent, that means Real Madrid has one less thing to worry about. But that also means that Messi and Mbappe have more duty to do.
But I hope Neymar can play and we get to see a really entertaining match.
