Even though PSG and Real Madrid are top of the table in their respective leagues, I personally don't believe both are candidates for the UCL title this season. Because for me, the Candidates for the UCL title this season are Bayern Munich or Manchester City and I think it is quite clear about these two teams, because to win the title is not only about the star players they have but also their performance and consistency. Although PSG and Madrid have many star players, most of them are old players who will certainly find it difficult to compete with top players with a productive age in the Manchester City squad.
Talking about which team will reach the final may be difficult at the moment. In my opinion, any team with good consistency in every game has a better chance of progressing from the last 16 to reach the final. So far, Manchester City has a squad with a fairly good and consistent performance, they have a chance to qualify but must be able to maintain consistency in the next few games until the final.

If Manchester City make it to the final again this season, then they must win the title for the first time with Guardiola. I agree with Manchester City, but other teams are also fighting for the same place. Of course, the Champions League is more difficult to predict.

I have to agree. I see Man City and Bayern Munich more easily reaching the final and fighting each other than other teams.
On top of that, both teams are comfortable in the first place of their competitions, with several points of distance.

PSG and Real Madrid, despite having good players, as a team are not at the same level as a City or Bayern.
Either way, in football surprises sometimes happen and the winners are the least expected.

Man City have been very special for this season, their performances have been outstanding, there are no star players or the main focus, all is about teamwork, and City get advantage from facing a team that is arguably at a level below them, but they can be surprised if they are not careful in this knockout match, and sometimes football lovers love to see a surprise.

I'm looking forward to watching the both games in the PSG - Real Madrid matchup. This is the most remarkable matchup among all of them. These teams both are candidates to become the champions in the Champions League this season. PSG are a bigger favourite of course but Real Madrid are really strong now. They are capable enough to eliminate any team in the tournament. I hope to see two competitive games in this draw. And at the end, I think PSG can advance to the next stage.
The match between PSG and Real Madrid is the match that all fans have been waiting for, the last 16 meeting is like a final match, because both teams are candidates for champions league champions, but unfortunately both of them met in the round of 16, so automatically one of them had to be eliminated in the Champions League. . the round of 16 later, the round of 16 match feels very final, it's a shame to miss it, according to my prediction PSG will advance to the round of 8.
As we can see Sergio Ramos vs ex-club, he very missed Real Madrid but the next day he was not a squad. I believe he will keep the defense like before, he will also with together his former enemy (Messi) to get the winning. What is another interesting is Mbappe, as we know he was associated with rumors go to Madrid. this is some test if he's really worth the high price.

@blue Snow even I’m really excited for this clash, but I personally believe that Real Madrid will advance instead of PSG, and even with Ramos and Messi in their lineup PSG will end up losing that’s my prediction. Also Mbappe has nothing really to prove, but if he can score one or two goals it’ll only help him negotiate for higher wages when he joins his new club during the summer transfer window.

This match will be tough for both teams. Honestly, I don't know who will win. I also really want to watch the match. But, since PSG will be hosting the first leg on the 15th of next month. I don't think Real Madrid can easily beat PSG in The Parc des Princes. PSG seems the favorite here. However, according to report, Messi was tested positive to Covid-19 in Argentina, and he won't be playing any match for now. I hope he get well before their game against Real Madrid.
I think that no one will have, the easy game at the stage of  playoffs. Yes, the match will be very interesting, but it seems to me that Real looks stronger in this pair. Of course, I would like the teams to approach the match in optimal shape, without losing players, especially the main players. For Real away, it will be a good result to play in a draw and win the match at home. Therefore, I think that playing the first match away is an advantage.

Surely now this is very bad news for PSG as Messi need to recover from this Covid-19, and he is unable to travel from Argentina until he is having negative report from medical team now PSG coach already announces he is unclear about this situation with no timetable for return of this star player even we have more than 1 month in this crucial match but still it needs some time for any person after having this problem.

PSG is favorite for home game against Real Madrid but still it's not easy for them to beat them at home as Real Madrid has never been easy opponent for any team in any condition. Now mostly soccer pundits saying this is the most crucial match of this year's Champions League, even winner from here can win title.

It seems like Ajax have a big chance ahead to be able to qualify for the quarter finals. Because in my opinion, Benfica are not powerful enough to eliminate Ajax from the current round. I think that it is quite probable for seeing Ajax to beat Benfica in both games of the draw. Normally, Benfica didn't deserve this round. But Barcelona's really poor performance in the group stage carried them here. And we all know how great Ajax were in the group stage.

This could actually be true. Benfica isn't performing that bad in the league, but they usually don't lack behind in the table and now Sporting is in the position that Benfica used to be. I would still say it is not a clear cut case. It is rather a 60:40 game for Ajax. As we have seen Ajax can also lose games against much weaker opponents even in home games.

Ajax may be taking some surprise defeats in the league but they are playing with very good concentration in the champions league. They won all the matches they played in the group. Benfica played well. However, there was another Portuguese team Sporting in Ajax's group and they beat them comfortably. I think they will eliminate Benfica as well. Ajax is my favorite team in this matchup.

I agree. Benfica has no chance against Ajax. But I think it will be more difficult for Ajax to go further. At the next stage, only the top teams will remain and Ajax is unlikely to be able to compete with them.

Still have 1 month for Benfica to prepare the squad. In the last match, they lost with many different goals 3 and 2 goals versus the same team Porto. The win with 7-1 versus Maritimo is not enough the squad have comfortable when against a strong club (Porto). Especially against a club with have perfect points (Ajax) in the Amsterdam arena. hold in a draw is also a hard mission for them.
In current season Ajax is very prepared enough for having some good distance into this UEFA Champions League so Benfica already done enough from their strength because they were lucky enough to be in knock out stage due to Barcelona bad time in last few weeks currently they are 3rd into their local league with very tough time to having some more points for challenging two leaders Sporting and Porto, so I am feeling they will easily out from here and try to have some better form in league because here they already achieve more than having quality and skills. Ajax has some good chance for having spot into last four with their current form even it's all just prediction but still a quality team.

They are a very great side@ Ajax few seasons ago, I could tell how well they did to Real Madrid.
Having a mutual relationship between the midfielder's and attackers that links up so we'll.
Benfica are also a good team, but don't stand out when it comes to Champions...can they make a change ?
I would love to see that.

Especially with this new virus and the new variant. Infections just keep coming. That will certainly affect the Champions League. How would they deal with that if there were too many infections? The interests are immense, you can't just postpone a match on the same day. Just think, for example, of all the supporters who have bought a ticket. But there is no other solution. Keeping everyone in a quarantine environment would still be possible, but there is no time for that.
Talking of the virus what are the chances that Uefa could call off these games or competition to prevent further  spread of the virus...we have seen how most league games have been stopped out to protect the players from further spread and the bad part of all this is no obe is safe even for those that are vaccinated. I guess mandatory vaccination should be tabled to protect the players we have and to allow for other domestic leagues to go on.
If it happens that this is the way we hare going

Anything can happen, it's not a given that Inter will lose these matches. Think back to Ajax, who were tearing things up when no one believed in them. The Champions League doesn't loom on the horizon, but I think it's safe to bet that both teams will score. But that's my opinion. Italy's tika-taka can easily beat Liverpool
Nothing is easy, Liverpool are a mentally strong team in the Champions League and they are not easy to beat. Both teams have equal chances of trying to win the match in 2 legs away and home, so there is nothing wrong with optimism but never overlook the fact that every team is equally eager to qualify for the next round.

The Champions League will start in February, so we will just have to wait to see if the match can be played or not, given the cases of COVID-19 infection, it is not yet predictable when it will end.

I agree with Liverpool's strong morale, but you have to judge a team by its strength first, and then by its attitude. About the epidemic I agree with you, EPL matches are often even postponed, I have not seen such a frequency before, I hope the Champions League will not be affected, otherwise they will even think of technical defeat for one of the teams...
