Atalanta - Villarreal game is going on very interestingly now. To be honest, I wasn't expecting Villarreal to have a this comfortable game against Atalanta in Italy. Even though the statistics of the teams are similar, Villarreal are 3-0 ahead now. It looks like Atalanta are going to say goodbye. And it is going to be by a big defeat. A team like Atalanta should have played better than this in this critical game.

Not over yet, there is whole second half to play and if any team can turn this around it is Atalanta. It's not like they did not have their chances to score, they just need a bit more luck and more resolve in final third. What happened to Ronaldo from Man Utd. He was not seen in the match. The match was not much spicy to enjoy but yes the first goal from Greenwood of Man Utd was really unexpected. It just happened at a sudden. A lovely kick on his left leg to the goal. Was really awesome. MATA has a chance to goal but he missed it. Rieder from Young Boys just made use of the opportunity came into, yes Man Utd messed up in passing, but yes Rieder just picked it up and shot to the goal. Was awesome. Both team missed one more chance for scoring a goal each.

Seeded teams look so much stronger than non-seeded teams that it seems like they are a collection of teams from different tournaments (eg Champions League and Europa League). In fact, only Lille, PSG and Chelsea are not in their places. Judging by the formal balance of power, most of the unseeded teams should be eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
I think that, regardless of the opponent, it is already possible to determine 4 participants in the quarter-finals in the Champions League: Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Bayern. What a goal by Arnaut Danjuma! He gave Villarreal the lead with a goal in just 3 minutes. Since Villarreal can only draw the match to advance to the next round, and they are now 1-0 up. They do not seem to be taking any more risks. Villarreal will play completely defensive. Despite a 1-1 draw, Villarreal could finish second in the table.
Agreed. I also can't believe that Chelsea failed big time to secure their lead. Zenit weren't a team that they wouldn't be able to beat. They beat Zenit by 1-0 before and they scored even three goals in the match today. But the real problem was related to defending. I still don't understand how Zenit managed to score the same goals. Chelsea just gave away their lead to Juventus.
I watch the game just first half, I saw how effective Zenit are on the counter-attack, Zenit's have a chance to make the scores 3-1 just in first half but they failed to do that. Early goal from Timo made Chelsea seem stronger but Zenit played really well.Agree with you defence is Chelsea problem especially in first half.
I agree with you that chelsea is losing focus, and also i will go a few games without betting on games involving chelsea due to this problem they have been having, in the past premier league game they did the same thing, i will not be surprised if they tie against leeds

It was already obvious before the match that Barcelona would lose it. And they did by a big score like 3-0. Barcelona's current condition is not good enough to beat teams like Bayern Munich in home or away matches for now. They must improve their game a lot to talk about that probability. They don't belong to the Champions League for now and they are already eliminated from it too.
Was nt obvious because Bayern only played Tolisso in MC who has barely played all year and poor on the ball/turn. Sule is also poor on ball so you could have used that to your advantage but fell off pressing due to Bayern overloading the AM area.
Manchester United ran out in a completely changed lineup. I am glad I waited until I saw the team sheets. After looking at them, my bets went on Bayern and Benfica, and no money was wasted on Manchester United. I am sure they caused havoc for many gamblers last night.
I should have gone with Bayern as well, but I thought Barca needs this much more so they will at least score one goal, so I went with both to score. It is not like Bayern has iron defense, they are usually playing to score few goals more than opponents and even week team in Germany often slip a goal or two against them.Chelsea really screwed big time yesterday. You can't let Juve get that top spot in last game. Yes you managed to rotate a squad a little but this probably means much harder opponent in first knockout stage. Like you, I bet both to score in Bayern - Barcelona game but at least I get the win on another parlay. It's true that at some point Barca will eventually recover but that won't be against Bayern.
Once more, Man Utd proves that you can't trust them and bet on them, only against them. My X2 pays out as Benfica's easy win. I wonder though why the fans wave white handkerchiefs. As far as I know, it's a sign of dissatisfaction.
As for Chelsea, it was indeed a hit but TBH I wasn't surprised and I just stay away. Tuchel needed to make a rotation, they have no pressure regarding qualifying to the next round, and for sure can win any team (if they sustain their performance).

Villarreal are more advantageous now as we see them one point ahead. But Atalanta are a very capable team and this is a home game for them. They can win this if they give their everything. But if I bet on this game, I would choose both teams to score.
Atalanta is favorite for obvious reason but considering the strength and the odd for Vilareal (4.50), I will go with Villareal to win & both team to score. I guess the odd is quite good though it's an away match. If Villareal can score a goal first, I believe they will be able to not conceding a goal. I will win either of the bet

Villarreal and Atalanta over 2.5?
The odds of over 2.5 for this match is around 1.7, so it is worth the risk and reasonable enough to place.
Atalanta need a win to qualify for the round of 16, so they will play offensively to score goals.
On the other side, Villareal is also motivated to go further and a draw is enough for them but I do not think they will play with bus parking strategies.
This was the expected result. There is no hope that Barcelona will win. But they had the ability to draw. But they have shown very lightning performance. Their defense was very messy. The defense needed to be more stable before performing against a strong team. However, given Barcelona's poor performances since last season, it was only natural that they would not qualify for the next round of the Champions League.
I have also predicted that Barcelona will not qualify for the next round in UCL, the club is not good to that extent. Benfica won the club is a chance while Dynamo Kyiv has been so poor. I will win either of the bet I doubt though that Barca can make some good transfers because they have 1,35 Billion € of debts, so there is no way that they can just buy a few good players, they have to rely on their own youth players.
It is reasonable to expect Barcelona to work with big investors from Arab countries just to improve the quality of the team again in the following seasons. I don't know what scenario they will do to improve the quality of the team which is currently starting to fade due to the generational transition. They could count on the academy players, but it definitely wasn't enough.Xavi will not be able to change the quality of Barcelona as easily as we imagine, Barcelona does have to sacrifice big costs for the quality of a team that can be relied on again in big European competitions such as the Champions League. What a stressful matchday it was for the three teams (Milan, Porto, Atletico Madrid) in the Group B.
