Josep Guardiola's line-up has a well-defined identity but there are still a few doubts that the Spanish coach needs to resolve ahead of the final. The doubts mainly concern the role of left-back and defensive midfielder. Oleksandr Zinchenko and captain Fernandinho performed well in the return leg of the semi-final, providing cover and leadership for the team, while João Cancelo and Rodri are more offensive
In terms of the left back position for City, I expect Zinchenko to keep his place, he is a better option than either Mendy or Cancelo at left back, Cancelo is slightly better in attack, but what Zinchenko offers the team both in defense and attack is massive. In the defensive midfield role, I'm not sure who Pep is going to start, city need strong cover in front of the defense, and that's what Fernandinho is perfect at, but Rodri has also had a superb season playing in front of the City backline, Rodri will prolly start, and if City have something to hold on to, then I think Pep will bring in Fernandinho.
Pep should be adding 2 attackers; Sterling and Aguero to screw up the defense.
If you've been watching City's matches this season, you'll know neither of this players (Sterling & Kun) will play in the UCL final, except City are leading comfortably, then they could prolly get the final 10 or so minutes, they both have lost form and aren't impressing the manager to say the least, the same can also be said of Gabriel Jesus and Ferran Torres, they are all going to be more or less spectators on the 29th.
