Eventually 12,000 English supporters could go to Porto to watch the much awaited Champions League final Manchester City - Chelsea (each club will receive 6,000 tickets for their fans).
At this point, I think it would have been better to have the final in England since all the supporters will need to go through all the necessary covid checks while travelling abroad. Isnt't it a bit stupid?
Yeah, it would make more sense to have final in England, but UK government didn't gave quarantine exemption for UEFA staff, broadcasters, sponsors and etc. It's 2000 people approximately. So, UEFA had to look for alternatives and probably Portugal was the best option.

Seriously when it is just simply one game everything could change, I am not saying Chelsea will win, if you think I said that then you haven't read it carefully, all I am saying that in a regular game I would give 70%+ to City because they are so much better but in a Finals game it is as close to being 50% chance for both teams as it gets. I still think City is a bit further ahead, it would be Chelsea that needs to get lucky, but anything could happen in a winner takes all game.

In football, as in almost all sports, the luck factor is always something to take into account. That is why, big teams sometimes lose with small ones.
If it was always certain that the strongest wins, most bookmakers would go bankrupt.

Of course Chelsea have a chance to win the cup. An injury, an unexpected shot, a day of extra inspiration, so ... Several things can happen and the victory fall to Chelsea. Even though Man City is the favorite, at least for most fans.

Tuchel is a good coach, no doubt, but at the level of experience in the Champions League, Guardiola has more experience.
Although they are practically the same generation of coaches, Guardiola is much more experienced.
Honestly if this was a groupg ame, or even anything until semi finals I would say that you are right, Tuchel vs Guardiola would make sense and Pep would win that ten times out of ten. However when we are talking about simply just one game, anything could happen, an injury could change things, one lucky bounce would get them a goal, a ball going just an inch left.

Tuche is a very good coach, no doubt about it. But Guardiola is in charge of Manchester City. Is he less experienced than Tuchel?

But on the pitch in the match at least any outcome can happen, so there is nothing wrong with saying Chelsea will win. After all it is just a prediction, so about right or wrong it cannot be judged at the outset. Indeed, City really have a better chance of winning the CL this season but if we see how Chlesea can make it to the Final, I don't think many people think Chelsea can qualify in the CL Final and that is a surprise that is not easy to predict either.
Anything can happen in the final. Chelsea is not a very comfortable opponent for City, because with the arrival of Tuchel, Chelsea's style of play has become very similar to that of Guardiola, it is attacking football. But despite this, I believe that Manchester City will become champions this year. Both teams deserve to be champions, but I think City is a stronger team.
Right, Tuchel made big changes in squad and style of play, and it did so quickly during Chlesea's unfavorable situation at the time. Therefore, every Final match is basically the two best teams that deserve to be champions and yes, it's no wonder City are the favorites because this team has better management and is older when viewed from the side of their coach. Besides that, the squads that are owned on each line, at least City have everything better.
Manchester City must be a little ahead of Chelsea. Manchester City have a lot of stars and talented players in their squad. Although Chelsea are doing great, but if Kante had not done so well against Real Madrid, the Chelsea team would not have been able to beat Real so easily. Tuche is a very good coach, no doubt about it. But Guardiola is in charge of Manchester City. Is he less experienced than Tuchel?

We are going to see the final game in Estádio do Dragão. I was expecting it to be played in England but I guess they didn't want the stadium to be in the same country too. I hope that we will watch a superb and enjoyable final game. Of course it will not be the best final as the supporters won't be in the stadium. Or maybe they could get the tribune prepared for limited number of supporters.

I find this very difficult to happen, a small number of fans watching the game.
In Portugal, no game has yet been allowed to have an audience. And creating this exception would be a real headache for the authorities.

But I believe that although there is no public at the stadium, there will be some English fans who will still support the team at the stadium.

I also think that they will not make an exception this time also. Because it could cause the coronavirus to spread even more. If it was played in Istanbul, there were going to be 25k supporters in the stadium which could have caused a disaster.
We can watch the match through television. It is the best to do to avoid the spread of the virus. Our top priority is to defeat the disease once and for all so that in the next years, all matches will be normally organzied. Nothing guarantees us that people at the stadium are not affected with the virus

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
UEFA changed the city of the final of the next final of the Champions League scheduled for the 29th of this month.
We are going to Portugal in Oporto with a maximum of 6000 fans for each team in the stadium for a total of 12000.

It's good news that I saw the increase in Covid-19 in Turkey died so that UEFA changed the stadium schedule that was better than what we expected for our fans.
This has become official news where and in the end, Portugal will be the last port in the final, but with fans in it, the match will be more exciting with a maximum of 12000 people from both teams which will be quite lively in the final.

It is not normal for English teams to want to take the game to extra time. But English football is also different today. But I believe, that the teams will try without great fears to score goals. So, I have some doubts if the game is going to extra time. City will be able to impose themselves during the game, but it is true that Chelsea can cancel the opposing team's game well.

It's not normal for English teams to meet in a final. Liverpool met Spurs of course but Liverpool's coach is so anti draws he would rather lose than draw as he showed earlier against Real Madrid, even if it's a final.

Pep versus Tuchel doesn't sound like a boring draw either though I have got to say, so I'd definitely back BTTS as part of a Betbuilder.

2 seasons the final match is hold in Portugal and the nation likely control the pandemic very good. Even a reduction from 12000 to 6000 does not help much in social distancing. I think UEFA take risk to allow fans to join the final match. They need money of course but it can be a super-infections event.

If there is a team play like this in the final match, it would be Manchester City. However, as I see and as Phillip Lalm said, Pep is no longer obsessed with tiki-taka. The match can be tight and tactics will be decisive factor for winner and loser.

I bet that Werner can play important role with his goal to finish a terrible first season in Chelsea with a goal in Champions League final. Or he will create an important missing opportunity. The first case will bring the trophy to Chelsea and the second case will throw it away to Man City.

Oh, how about Giroud? Will he be available from substitute bench for the final?

It's too bad that the match will not be played in Türkiye. They take away the game again and give it to Portugal again. I can't blame them though, this coronavirus effect hits hard here, so this was the logical thing for them. I hope we can host another big final in 2023.
For the game, there are still more than two weeks, it's hard to talk about with information what we have, but I see Manchester City as favorite in this circumstances.

If Turkey gets rid of this coronavirus, then it will be much more enjoyable to watch a final match there. I really don't like that the final match is going to be played without supporters in the stadium this season. It completely kills the importance of this huge match. But we have to keep taking precautions for covid-19. Otherwise, things could be much worse than this.

The team will not want to concede any goal in this match. I think they will give more priority to the defensive game play than the attacking gameplay. I guess the match will be drawn 1-1 in 90 minutes. And the game will go in extra time, yet I am quite optimistic about Manchester City's victory. And I'm betting on Manchester City winning.

I really think that each team will not allow any given extra time and may finish the other team in that time limit bestow on a match, I guess Chelsea had a great strategy in conquering Man. City but Manchester City is a team that will never give up on any given situations and they surely have many good strikers they can use in making goals, Chelsea needs to be stay alert in making defense if they do that Man City will be having a hard time keeping up with their plays, A good play will surely win in this game,

Well, I am speculating a little bit because I am so excited for the match to start keeping a very equal speculation because I really think that both teams deserves to be champions.

Manchester City comes to this final a bit more motivated as they are just crowned Champions of the Premier League.I think though their main objective this year was to go as far as possible in the Champions League now that they are in the final they will fight the hardest battle in order to win this final.I think they will win and I am not worried at all because they lost to Chelsea in the Premier League just some days ago,in here things will be totally different.

I agree. Of course, the players of both teams will be motivated. But, then the quality of the players will enter.
And I think City players have more quality, and the ability to make a difference.
Manchester City will definitely be ahead if we check the quality of the players of both the teams. But as a team Chelsea is much strong. Pep Guardiola and Tuchel are both very experienced. And both teams seem equally strong to me. We will be able to watch a very competitive final match.

I don't think that Manchester City is ahead anymore. Chelsea concedes almost no goals and only needs to score once and still wins the gam so often. City doesn't like the way Chelsea plays. That's why Chelsea now beat them twice in a row I think.

The game will be an extremely close call and I would expect even a game with extra time. Could be a draw after 90 minutes maybe without goals.

I want to see Chelsea can defeat Manchester City on champion league final the sam thibg what happen last week on primer leafue win 1_2 from Manchester City, but in other side is the best time for Manchester City and Pep Guordiola re open again for champion league trophy after failed many time from Bayern Munich until Manchester City
If you really want to see Chelsea lift the title with Tuchel, maybe you don't need to doubt the strength of Guardiola's team. But you just have to know that previous EPL matches looked different to the tactics they played at UCL. I'm sure Guardiola is a man of genius, maybe also preparing a special strategy to play against Chelsea in the final. I'm sure Manchester City will win the title for the first time and start a new history. This is a great opportunity for them to make history at UCL.

@BITCOIN4X I’ll second that as Pep will not be using the same tactics that he’s used in the premier league, and by losing against Chelsea he’s given them false hope, and thus I hope that Chelsea doesn’t play with overconfidence or they’ll be badly defeated.

Furthermore as a Manchester United fan I don’t want to see Manchester City win the champions league title, so I’ll be rooting for Chelsea to beat Manchester City.

I do understand why the game place would be changed, it is both british teams and england put a red alert on Turkey so it is not a shock that there would be some sort of compromise for it. It is still not in england, it is not like "oh if it is two premier league teams let's do it on wembley" type of deal, it is definitely something much bigger than that and they are doing it in Porto I believe, so it is still foreign.

However in a period when England managed to vaccinate over %60 of their people, it would be unwise for them to send 2 whole teams (probably close to 100+ people total, probably 200-300 in the end) to a nation they deem red alert level of bad in corona virus situation. Looking at how Turkey is doing, they had over 60k+ new cases just a few weeks ago and not it is under 15k in 2 weeks, that seems to be a main reason why England believed the numbers to be fake and put that red alert, makes sense.
