@tomahawk9, I'm not surprised about this decision at all. Unfortunately, it's all about the money. If some small club would be in same situation as City, I can't imagine same court decision. Well, but seems that rules aren't same for everyone, especially if you have deep pockets.
P.S. I have nothing against City players and especially Pep Guardiola, but City shouldn't play in next season Champions league.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) announced the club were cleared of "disguising equity funds as sponsorship contributions".

Manchester City confirmed to be in the next Champions League. Pep, De Bruyne, Sterling, everyone will stay in the club.

Ok everybody, i wanna read your thoughts about this, right now there's a meltdown on social media  Grin

Good news for Pep Guardiola Manchester city will continue to be at UCL with its glory now could this season be their title? Looks like the match with Real Madrid will be difficult for Mancity if it has been passed it might be easier to subvert other teams in CL.

Mancity fans will definitely be happy with this news. Grin

Not much to say TBH, I already commented in another thread. Football is corrupt to its core and as long as it is we will have a few clubs that are above any rules and World Cups played during the winter in countries whose citizens cannot name 3 players in their national teams.

And we'll consume all of it with our mouths wide open, begging them for more.

I’d love to see Atalanta or Lepizig win the CL, very unlikely but would be great. I really don’t want Man City to win it, corrupt FFP cheating bastards.

I don’t think any of the teams you mention here will win the Champions League as they are not used to win it like many of the bigger teams do.I think we have better teams like Psg,Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid which I think is not yet out of the Champions League as it has the power to beat Manchester City in their home field.

do not think that PSG could do it, they are out of the field since march, and it will be hard to see them in best form in a month, without matches played before
on the other hand, Bayern was in great form, they will be fresh for the tournament and one of the CL favourites IMO

1. Manchester City 30%
2. Bayern 22%
3. PSG 14%
4. Barcelona 8%
5. RB Leipzig 8%
6. Atletico Madrid 7%
7. Atalanta 5%
8. Real Madrid 2%
9. Juventus 2%
10. Lyon, Napoli, Chelsea less than 1%

The figures are odd. I would never bet on Atalanta or Leipzig winning the Champions League before Real Madrid or Juventus. Also the probability for Manchester City is much too high. The team is worse than the last years when they always failed in the Champions League. Same to Bayern, even though I think Bayern has the best chances this year. It is the only team in the list that has convinced me the most so far.

That percentage has not yet determined the outcome later and I see some teams that currently play more interesting because the continued victory in their own league will remain if UCL starts it will certainly be very aggressive or may be weak because the match is not long started, then from me think Atalanta will be better at UCL this season.

Still a more exciting match is Real Madrid vs. Manchester City this will be a big bet for me.

That percentage is just speculation based on the statistics according to data and algorithms from fivethirthyEight.com.
Of course,  we know that is impossible to predict everything and that final results will be different 😀
Still,  these numbers can help you in your betting.

The odds are factor of Atlanta ro Leipzig's chances of advancing to the next round, the both have greater chances of making it to the next round ahead of Madrid, and Madrid having a greater odds would decrease Man City's odds since only one of them would advance (with Ciy in pole position) you can't win the competition if you've been eliminated hence, the Real Madrid odds value are justified, imo. However, I think Real Madrid might stun Man City.
Even the percentage of Real Madrid is lower than Atletico Madrid and I'm also not sure about that percentage especially about RB Leipzig, Atletico Madrid and Atalanta, but if it's only about Real Madrid and Man City I feel clear, Man City certainly has a greater chance and also, Bayern remain the favorite I think and that percentage should only have a gap closer because both of them have very good chances this season.

You might be missing a point regarding Bayern vs Man City's chances the difference between both of them is some what significant because of their potential opponents Man City vs (Lyon or Juventus, Lyon being most likely) Bayern vs (Barcelona or Napoli, Barcelona), don't you also agree that Man City have a better chance of making it through against Lyon, than Bayern against Barcelona ? I'm not saying the odds are the correct prediction of the way things would turn out eventually, but I don't see anything wrong with the distribution, and if you put in all the factors surrounding each team's qualification chances you might agree too.

In the current situation in which the football clubs find themselves, it is difficult to give a tipp. I don't know how the teams are coping with it except from the germans. But I think Bayern Munich has the best chances for the title.
In one match everything is possible.
If you have 2 matches and play bad in first match,  there is always another chance in second match.
But especially the away games make it different in the current situation. What rules on hygiene apply in the country? Is there a lockdown right now and the hotel staff is more tense than usual? These are all factors that are unpredictable for example.

I believe that all the rules will be very strict because it is very important for UEFA to finish all competitions this year for financial and other reasons.
Since there will be no spectators, there will still be a limited number of people who are easier to control.
I don’t believe there will be any major problem and I am sure all the competitions will end as planned.
Portugal and Germany, which have been selected as host countries, have a relatively stable and good situation with the coronavirus.
What will be most missed are the fans and without them everything will still look a bit artificial and unnatural.
But for UEFA, the possibility of giving up or postponing has never been an option that they have seriously considered and of course too much money is at stake.

According to them, the new European champion will become Manchester City for the first time, giving as many as 30% of the chances.

Judging from city's currently hunger for goals and wins, I won't be surprised if they end up lifting the championship league trophy this season. That has been Pep's biggest challenge so far and considering their possible ban from completing next season when their appeal get decline. I think it's just fair if they win considering how impressive they have been so far.

What If, just what if the team with the least odd goes on to lift the trophy. Bayern shouldn't even get their hopes up, Chelsea will complete a comeback (yes I just said that) and end their hopes 😉.

Yes. I also believe that bayern munich is a big favorite , but why is real madrid so far down on this bookie  Wink real madrid was the last games very strong and are first in the primera division. even now before barcelona . I think many people underestimate this team.
They don't give much chance to Real since they are playing first game against City, arguably the strongest team left in the draw. Furthermore, Real lost first leg at home against City 2:1 which puts them at solid disadvantage before the reverse fixture. Add to that the fact that Ramos managed to get red card in that game so he will not play and he is by far the best Real player at the moment. Percentages look about right to me.
