If you even get to choose 2 out of 3 judges yourself, it is clear what the verdict will be.

You can read it at site 14. Manchester suggested Andrew McDougall and Rui Botica Santos for the panel. UEFA had no objections to this.  Roll Eyes

The symptoms of covid 19 take from 2-14 days some people don't show symptoms or signs. I think before the Europa league and UEFA champions league re-begins every teams players, coaches and staff be tested and retested. And as the league's-most league's-are over the qualifying teams after every knockout stays in the place of the completion of the tournament under safe surveillance/measures.

OK, I can't find a topic about the Europa League anymore, so I'm putting this info here, and in any case, Sevilla will soon play in the European Champions League any way.
So,  after Real we have another Spanish club that has a problem with an infected player, this time Sevilla.
More info here: https://www.marca.com/en/football/spanish-football/2020/07/29/5f2171e4ca47415c0d8b461d.html
Will Sevilla be able to play their match with Roma in the last 16 of the Europa League on August 6?
Perhaps the better question is whether UEFA’s entire plan to end European competitions will collapse because of these and likely new cases that will emerge soon?
What do you think?
What do I think? I don't know. There are so many possibilities. Maybe only a few players will be affected by Covid 19 and the games can take place. Maybe more and more players will test positive in the next days and the UEFA has to make a decision. Either way, this is all a stupid situation.

Yeah initially I thought when finding out Ramos is suspended (break happened so long I didn't even remember) I thought damn, why did I bet on Real? Haha. But anyway, I have an original 2/1 bet on Real to progress, and I reupped on 4/1 anyway. Who knows, Valverde gets a chance and creates a new legend?

It is weird that Liverpool, a team who got 99 points in premier freaking league won't be in and I was expecting to see them a lot in later stages, but elimination does that to people. Let's see now when the best teams plays versus the best teams, it will be better for betting and watching for sure.

Yeah, it's really weird. And I still want my revenge against Real =D and what Atletico did still pains me as I also lost a lot of money haha. But all good, they got what they deserved and Klopp won't change anything if he had a chance, as the one trophy we all craved is now in the cabinet.

Real to win UCL (again) at 20/1 or 30/1 as when someone posted earlier? Value!

I don’t think the Man City vs Real match will be suspended. It’s simple, the players get tested very regularly so all you have to do is keep infected players away from the healthy ones. Regular testing is the simple key.

But if one player got infected already, why don't you think it could happen to other players? I assume the Segunda Division also did regular testings and still we have outbreaks like the one at Fuenlabrada. And when half of the players of a team test positive (and the other half has to go into quarantine because they had contact with at least one of them) then you can either cancel the game completely or send your youth team, like Zürich did in the Swiss league. With more and more infection hotspots appearing, I am really starting to get worried.

Covid-19 increases and greatly influences current tournaments or other sports and is likely to be paused until everything returns to normal.
all for the good of the players or others so as not to become infected, because the number of infected people continues to grow so it is very worrying.
Indeed the current situation is still worrying and at that time some matches were paused due to the infected waves getting bigger but now it has started to be handled well even the atmosphere will return to normal.
See all the leagues in Europe and have reached the end of the season without any obstacles but only limited because they are still using the protocol stage that is applied, therefore I hope the champions league will run well in this August even though it can't be watched directly at least we can see the prestige match.

Something else that worries me is that Real just had a positive COVID-19 case in their team. Mariano Diaz did test positive for the Coronavirus. With a two week quarantine he will be missing the match against ManCity. Sure Diaz can be replaced on short notice but what happens when more positive tests appear? The whole situation is even more complicated when you know that usually everyone visiting the UK from Spain usually has to go into a two week quarantine and that Real Madrid only got a special permit.
And already there is the first positive test. Just talked about it yesterday. Now it will be interesting to see if he will be the only player.
Rather unpleasant situation before the match. So the situation is not in Madrid's favor. We will wait for news.

We are currently in the second Covid-19 wave in Europe. The number of infections constantly increase again. If this continues, the Champions League will be won this year by the team that has the least number of players who have missed through infection. If the number of cases increases in the participating teams, it is likely that the tournament will be cancelled for good for this year. And I think this variant is more likely than that will see a final game.

Man City is really a good team. I was impressed with their last match against Norwich City, you know they won the match by 5-0. they attacked a total 31 times. on the other hand, Man City is the best scorer team on season 19-20.
You can't compare Norwich City, a team which was the first to be relegated in the Premier League to Real Madrid, at team that has just won la Liga and are the record holders of the UCL. Manchester City will definitely have to play against them with a little respect.

I loved it when the leagues came back and we watched some amazing games and great teams as well but it wasn't nowhere near this level, at this level teams play a lot better plus we are talking about best teams of each league going against each other as well. Weird that Napoli is still in and that is the only team that wasn't good in their own league, but aside from that we are talking about champions and seconds of league mostly and that will be 100% surely a great game.

I will not have many opinions about Madrid vs Man City...
I am sure this match will be very exciting, both teams will surely fight it out, Man City are ahead, while Madrid will definitely want to turn things around and go to the semifinals.
The Guardiola team (Manchester City) must be aware of the passion of Madrid after they won the Laliga trophy. If Guardiola want Manchester City to qualify for the next round then at least he must motivate his player to make the match a battlefield to win. Both team are big team from each league and to be honest this is a great match. Worth the wait.

If it were the first match between Real and ManCity, I would probably favour Real a bit considering how they performed in La Liga after the restart. But after City winning 2-1 in Madrid in the first match, I think they'll have the upper hand. Especially (and I think that was already mentioned here earlier in the thread) since Ramos will be missing the match due his red card. He's THE leader in the team and the main reason for Reals great defence imho. Without him it will be hard to make up for the deficit from the first leg.

I believe that the victory by ManCity in the home of Real practically sanctioned the passage of the turn of ManCity

I think it's still a very open game, it certainly will not be a walk for Real Madrid but it is a team with a very high potential, Manchester City will certainly not be intimidated, thanks to the advantage and the away goal will try to increase the gap. Put simply if Real Madrid wants to pass the round they must win at least 2-0 and it is both feasible and very difficult
Real Madrid will throw in every thing in that game to try and win the match of course its not going to be an easy game for both teams any of the team has potential of winning but I am not comfortable with Man City defence line which had not been solid lately when they play any attacking team however away goal rule still favor Man city, I forsee both team scoring a lot of goals in that game with both team trying to outplay each other obviously its gonna be an entertaining must watch match.

I think that Manchester City will win this game as they are focused completely on Champions League while Real Madrid won the title this year so they have something that have won and I think the motivation of Manchester City is far more than what the motivation of Real Madrid might be.I agree though that this will be an open game because teams from Premier League in such competitions play only open football which is really beautiful to watch on Tv.
