Even though we also want to see Chelsea with a trophy, it seems like they are not ready this season also because their performances are dangling. They will play a good performance and still play a poor performance, so I don’t think they will still do something tangible this season again, but let's still put eyes on them if they will do something tangible.
I think it is too early to judge how Chelsea will perform in the Conference League because so far they still remain the favorites to win the competition. They have the team that can do it, It is just the coach that is hoped on as someone that will be able to manage the players together to get the results desired by owner of club and supporters. The coach has shown some signs of tactical brilliance, he will mature more into the role with the more opportunity that he gets to play, and luckily for him, he has a team he can rotate.

and talking about chelsea and he has a team that he can rotate. It seems that the Conference League is not Chelsea's main objective, they are looking at this league as something that could create injuries to their players and harm them in the Premier League, I came to this conclusion because I read news that Chelsea will not put Cole Palmer and other players to play in the Conference League, you can see this news in more detail here

Chelsea confirm squad for next stage of Conference League.

Wesley Fofana, Cole Palmer and also Romeo Lavia have been left out.

Decision taken due to load management as Chelsea season could go on until July 2025 with Club’s World Cup too.

Chelsea confirm Jadon Sancho to train with Enzo Maresca and his staff during international break.

He’s already in good shape and ready for debut as #CFC player vs Bournemouth, end of next week.

This season Chelsea spent more money than other teams:

Costliest squads: Chelsea breaks all records

The 470th CIES Football Observatory Weekly Post presents the 100 teams in the world having committed the most money in transfer fees to recruit their current squad members (both permanently or on loan). Chelsea tops the list with €1.28 billion including add-ons (regardless of their actual payment) and €1.15 billion without them. These are the highest values ever recorded (see last year's rankings).

Manchester City and Manchester United complete the podium, with amounts including add-ons also in excess of €1 billion. Sixth with €772 million, Paris St-Germain is the only non-English team in the top seven. The French outfit ranks just behind Arsenal (€798 m) and Tottenham (€787m), while outranking Liverpool (€735m). Real Madrid (€720m) and Juventus (€626m) are the only other non-Premier League clubs in the top 10.

Al-Hilal (€485m, 13th) are first among non-big 5 league teams, ahead of three other Saudi Arabia's clubs: Al-Nassr (€270m), Al-Ittihad (€226m) and Al-Ahli (€224m). Flamengo (€208m) clearly outranks Botafogo (€85m) and Palmeiras (€77m) for South America. In total, 19 countries are represented in the top 100, with a maximum of 24 clubs for England (the 20 Premier League sides and four teams from the Championship).

I wonder how they will manage so many players, they should take the Conference League very seriously, because winning this competition would earn them money, and it is true that the amount earned by winning the Europa League is not much money compared to the amount of money they spent, but at least they would be recovering a little and would also give a trophy to the fans instead of spending a lot of money without winning anything.

The calendar for the next games is now available

and the first 2 games will be:

Wednesday 2 October

İstanbul Başakşehir vs Rapid Wien

Vitória SC vs Celje

These will be boring games, in my opinion. I'm only interested in Chelsea's games, and they will play on October 3rd against Gent. I see it as a game in which Chelsea has some chances of winning. If it were Chelsea a few years ago when they were strong, I wouldn't have many doubts that they would win, but this current Chelsea is not reliable. Even playing against teams from the lower leagues, they can lose. That's why I'm not going to bet on Chelsea, but I will follow them. This would be a good chance for Chelsea to at least reach the final of this competition, because I don't see any great teams in this competition.

There shouldn't be any problems with Chelsea to qualify for league phase. But the current score is 1-1 which isn't satisfying considering the quality level of their competitor.  Sad

I don't know maybe this is because of being mainly concentrated on the PL this season. Otherwise we have all seen what they did to Wolves lately. It was a huge win which shows how capable they are in fact.

Honestly, I would like to Chelsea fighting for the trophy here also. Because they couldn't win a single trophy in the last 2 seasons... This is serious.
The UEFA Conference league wouldn't be too tough for the Blues but based on the current performance, I don't think they're capable of thrashing every opponents they come acrossed. Chelsea have qualified but I think their performance against Servette in the second leg was poor. They lost 2-1 but on aggregate, they're 3-2 leading. The Blues have to make sure they're winning matches with ease points and Enzo Maresca have to reinforced his squad into position.

Chelsea performance was not encouraging at all because if not for the fight leg that they had a win, I don’t think it will be a nice turn up for them because I already have hope on them that they will win that game yesterday, but when I start seeing the way they are playing, I completely lose hope on them, and they still end up losing the game, but thanks to the victory in the first leg that still makes them lead.

Slava Ukraini!
Before starting to talk about group phase, want to say few words about yesterday's qualifying games. For me biggest surprise was Astana comeback - after losing first leg to Brann 0:2 it looked that they stand no chance, but they won home game 3:0 and reached main tournament.
Sad for Klaksvik from Faroe Islands - they were so close from reaching group stage, but conceded 2 goals on 90+ minutes and ended without even extra time.
Wisla from 2nd Polish division were not that far from comeback vs Cercle Brugge - they won away game 1:4, but after getting destroyed 6:1 at 1st leg comeback is almost impossible.
If I'm not mistaken for the first time clubs from Wales and Northern Ireland reached group stage - TNS and Larne. Not that many grey areas in Europe remaining where clubs never reached main stage of tournament.

Chelsea qualified based on aggregate scores courtesy of their first leg at Stamford bridge last week. Sincerely speaking, Chelsea played so poorly but I later realized that they were so relax banking on the aggregate advantage. Moreover, they underrate Seveite and their attention is the weekend league game. Losing to small teams like this is not justifiable irrespective of players they introduced and besides, Chelsea doesn't have a second eleven. The players they used in that match will still be the same players they would use even if playing against real madrid. If they don't find lasting solution to their defense, they will be the team with the most concede goals this season. Their defense line is incredible.

Glory To Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!

And in the end Chelsea were defeated but Chelsea still qualified with a win and 2 goal difference in the first leg, I'm not sure if Chelsea are not focused on this competition because in the Premier League there is no guarantee that they can compete in the standings while in the Conference League they have a chance to win the trophy and we know the competitors are not as strong as in the local league like Fiorentina, Real Betis and other teams.

By the way, Fiorentina managed to qualify after winning on penalties, I have to say it was a dramatic match 35 fouls, 7 yellow cards and 2 red cards every team fights until the last second until finally luck was on Fiorentina side. Fiorentina should have made things easier if they had won the first leg but they prefer the fight in the second leg lol. Oh yeah Real Betis also won easily today.

I think Maresca was a bit reckless with the lineup for the return leg against Servette, they were on the verge of taking the match into overtime. I understand that maybe in the future Maresca might decide to sacrifice the Conference League for the Premier League if necessary, but it was very unpleasant to be eliminated at the qualifying stage. But with such a lineup the results should not be indicative, I think Chelsea's priority will be the Premier League and possibly the FA Cup, and the status of the Conference League is too low for them to set themselves the goal of winning it.

This competition would be the list of competition and problem that Chelsea will be facing this very season, I don't really see a team that is  capable of stopping Chelsea football in this competition or that will give much problems to Chelsea and stopping them not lift the cup , except for the fact that they didn't take their games very seriously.

Trabzonspor will face St. Gallen tonight. The first match ended in a 0-0 draw, Trabzonspor missed many opportunities in that match.
I think they will win tonight.

Başakşehir easily beat St. Patricks last night and qualified for the EUFA Conference League. I hope they achieve great success there.
Trabzonspor who in the first leg managed to hold St.gallen to a draw, but is currently still struggling to win at home, although playing in front of its supporters, Trabzonspor is struggling to keep up with the game from ST Gallen who did appear a little dominant, even ST Gallen who came with high confidence to qualify for the next round was able to make Trabzonspor supporters silent after they managed to score through Schmidt in the 31st minute, but Fortunately Trabzonspor was able to rise and to equalize the score to 1-1 in the 52nd minute, the match between Trabzonspor vs ST Gallen has ended up 1-1 on aggregate in normal time, so the two teams will continue their match in extra time to determine who has the right to qualify for the conference league this season.
If we looking at the play of both teams throughout the match I think ST Gallen will be able to win today match considering their performance is much better than Trabzonsfor.

Trabzonspor played well but couldn't win, it was bad for them. So it happened as you said, St. Gallen won the match.

St. Gallen's goalkeeper made really good saves again. Trabzonspor had a hard time passing this goalkeeper in both matches.
Now we have only one representative in the EUFA Conference League. Başakşehir FK.

Despite the aggregate it's still a bad result for the London side, I had earlier thought that the least they could go down on in the second leg was a draw since they are playing away in Switzerland. They are in my opinion still hovering around their unstable performance as it were in last season where they were finding it difficult to maintain a winning consistency.  If they go on this way it wouldn't be long before they get eliminate from the conference league.

Chelsea for the first time in the history of the club will play in the UEFA Europa Conference League this season and should they win is it, Chelsea will become the first club to win every European trophy having won the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and the Super Cup before now. Chelsea of you ask should be the favorites to win the trophy and I have no doubt that bookmakers will go with Chelsea as the competition's favorite in this new season.

The game is currently going on but is not as interesting as I wanted it to be at first. They are currently playing a draw. Nkuku scored one at 14 minutes of the game, but it is not enough because Servetter equalises. They need to put more energy into winning this match because Servetter will want to do everything they can to either score more or protect their house against Chelsea,
Chelsea is currently losing 2 goals to 1, defensive flaws continues to hunt Chelsea, anyway this shows how unreliable Chelsea defenders, CB to be precise, while the main starting defenders are better than this, except they improve quickly or Chelsea sign new CB or possibly add Chalobah back to the team, Enzo Maresca's will continue to suffer this woe especially when any of the main CB gets injured or is out.

so Chelsea will not be able to score more goals, and that will a good result at the end of the day since they already won the first leg so this one is that much important but I will love it if they win either. However, for Chelsea to win the title, I can really say because I don’t focus much on this league, but did you see any potential in Chelsea that they will get the title?
Chelsea seems more like the favorite to win the conference league and I'm not really excited as a Chelsea fan from the fact I want them to do better also and possibly get top 4 position which I doubt especially because of our defense but at least I expect Europa League if these defense actually improve, since during pre season I lost hope on them when I saw most goals they conceded as disappointing and this is the same error they had in today's game

The match between Servette vs Chelsea caught my attention today, the first half has passed and both teams have only played a draw while Chelsea still lead with an aggregate of 1-3 well, I don't know if Chelsea will play in a serious mode because they have won in the first leg so actually Chelsea just need a draw today, will they maintain the current score? What is clear is that Chelsea will not take any risks and I know they can control the rhythm of the game, just look at the first half they controlled the match up to 72%

Somehow I'm a little doubtful about Fiorentina today because Puskas Akademia seems more aggressive, will we really see a surprise in this match?

You know, the most interesting stories from European football (to me) are happening in Conference League! We've got a pub team from a British Territory backwater who are out (but man, what a story on the way) so we'll forget them soon enough but we've also got tonight The New Saints (I actually really dislike them from past seasons) taking on a Lithuanian side I won't even attempt to spell their name... already having a 3 goal lead to make European history for themselves.

Same as Armenia's Noah! I mean goddamn these Georgian and Armenian teams making my life so happy for 3 or 4 seasons now. They went all the way from the 1st qualifying round (the only team to still survive, reminding me of Liverpool who had to do that after Istanbul) and tonight also stand a good chance of going to the proper -- imagine getting drawn with Chelski, Betis, etc!

Some entertaining stuff tonight. Go Pyunik!

Well , I think Trabzonspor should qualify further right ? Turkey football is in full ascension lately and it's just a matter of time until we will see more and more Turkish teams making into UCL , Europa or Conference League groups.

My eyes are on FCSB because they are from Romania like myself and it's been way to long since we had FCSB into European competitions group and if we fail to qualify tonight ...we are still happy with Conference League groups. Same goes for CFR Cluj but we are used with them to be the best Romanian team in Europe for quite some years now and they should already be qualified into Conference groups.
