Probably biggest surprise yesterday was last season finalist Fiorentina draw with Puskas Academy 3:3. Just after 12 minutes Fiorentina was down 0:3. Some huge results like Omonia - Zira 6:0 or Wisla 1:1 Cercle Brugge. Both teams were favorites, but nobody didn't saw such big wins coming. Also, didn't expected tat The New Saints will win their away game 3:0, now they're almost in group sahe for the first time in Welsh football history.

Chelsea could have done more there. 2-0 didn't satisfy me enough. But I don't want to be harsh too much as it is just the beginning of the season. By the way have you watched the insane miss Marc Guiu?  Grin

People talked about it quite a lot. It was annoying yeah but it can happen even to the best strikers. It shouldn't be a too big deal unless he continues wasting goal chances like this.

It is really hard to predict Chelsea's future now. I hope they can be competitive for the ECL title here. If Pochettino stayed I would be talking more confidently. But now we need to be patient first.
Wanted to post it, but you already did it. It's fun, but I've seen much worse misses than this one. He had to score offcourse, but it wasn't that easy as it looks. Wondering what xG of that moment was.

Exactly, Fiorentina's 3-3 draw against Puskas Academy was very unexpected for me, I have never heard of this team but after only a few minutes of play they found themselves leading the match 0-2. Fiorentina made a lot of mistakes and this draw makes it very difficult for them. After two consecutive conference league finals I think Fiorentina will not make it to the final this year.

Chelsea played the first leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying game tonight against Swiss club Servette FC and were able to win the game with a 2:0. Christopher Nkunku and Noni Madueke were the two players that found the back of the net in the game. They'll now travel to Switzerland next week Thursday to play the second and last match if the tie and if you ask me, I think the English Premier League club will not have any difficulties in winning the tie. Do you have a different opinion in regard of the tie?
I am in doubt that Chelsea may not have any difficulty in winning the Switzerland side when they meet in their second tie. Chelsea won this first leg not on a soft landing despite playing on their home soil they have to manage to win, and if not that Servette gambled with many of their chances that would have put the game maybe in a draw tie especially in the remaining 15minutea of that game. Going to Switzerland for the next leg I think Chelsea will be going for a draw rather than lurking for a win because they know it's going to be a difficult game out there.
Regardless of the course of the match, Chelsea 2-0 win over Servette was Enzo Maresca first success, we remember that they previously suffered a defeat in the Premier League from Man City. I think the result of the match can be capital to increase the players confidence, and can appear more consistently in the future. On paper, the result is certainly in line with the predictions of many bettors, where Servette is indeed not a worthy opponent for Chelsea. In many aspects, Chelsea is indeed more favored to win, Servette needs great luck to be able to create a surprise.

Overall, Chelsea even deserves to be favored as a strong candidate for the Confederations League champion this season, as I said, they have more complete attributes than all the other contestants. If Chelsea then fails to become champions, I think it will be a very surprising failure, we know how much budget they have spent to build the club since Todd Boehly arrived. In the next match, Chelsea will most likely be able to dominate again by defeating Servette. But before that, Enzo Maresca squad must face Wolves in the second week of the Premier League first.
That 2:0 lost to Manchester City without a one goal reply in their opening game for this season in the EPL was a pain to me even as a half Chelsea fan (I became a half fan since they started losing much games they are expected to be wining in order to guide my emotions Grin). On a normal day Servette being a team we'll refer to a farmer's league team wouldn't be a problem for Chelsea to win even with it's second team but we can't confidently speak volume about that to the current Chelsea.

Checking the match statistics at full-time the ball possession wasn't of any conspicuous difference for a better team in an elite league playing against a weaker team neither did the shots on target or goal attempts depicts so.
Goal attempts: Chelsea 16 :19 Servette.
Shots on target: Chelsea 5:8 Servette.

If their winning could build more confidence in them to remaining consistent in winning games it's going to make all money spent on the team so far worth it but for now I think otherwise about that.

Chelsea won but their performance was not convincing enough and it'll be hard to tell whether they will win when they travel to Switzerland next week despite the aggregate advantage. Even during Lampard first era as Chelsea couch when he was playing kids would definitely play better than what I watched yesterday. I don't think Cardiff or Blackburn will struggle against Servette the way Chelsea did before they managed to get the two goals. If they can struggle at their own home like this, what do you think will happen if they travel away? Let see what is going to happen next week.

Lottery league is back today with A LOT of games! It's actually really hard to pick some games because you never know what type of games you get in Conference ...but we can safely say that Fiorentina , CFR Cluj , Panathinaikos , Chelsea and Copenhaga should all win right ? The odds for combining these 5 teams is around ~10 so it's a pretty wild ticket if you want to take the risk.
Lottery league indeed but the hardest to predict as the team's there are no respecter of anyone. A lot  goals poured in tonight in most of the games particularly in the match between Wisla vs Cercle Brugge KSV 1:6, and Omonia vs Zira 6:0 that's a total of 13 goals from both matches, an attractive over5.5 for each game. Seems a few of the team's you predicted to win didn't have infact Panathinaikos lost to Lens 2:1, Florentina leveled in a 3:3 draw, just CFR Cluj, Copenhagen and Chelsea were the only clubs in your list that won their game's respectively.

The games results are somehow expected for many teams except for Fiorentina and Turkish teams.
I don't know how Fiorentina could finish the game that way. They took two goals in less than 15 minutes then they were to reverse the score and weren't able to hold the advantage until the end. 3 - 3 against Orban team while Fiorentina is playing in big Serie A... That's worrying!

Our representatives Başakşehir and Trabzonspor drew.
Başakşehir was bad tonight, they didn't find many goal opportunities. St. Patricks had more goal opportunities but they couldn't take advantage.
I didn't like Trabzonspor tonight either, their opponents are easy for them but they couldn't beat them.

I hope Başakşehir and Trabzonspor win next week.
I don't know what's going on here either but all Turkish teams playing in UEFA competitions are in fact failing this round. At least a draw could give them some hope to win and pass..

I could also see a lot of games being under 3.5 goals today or even under 2.5 goals because the pressure on teams to catch the groups will be resembled.

Our representatives Başakşehir and Trabzonspor have matches on Thursday.

Başakşehir will play with St. Patricks. I think Başakşehir will win this match, their squad is better quality than them.

Trabzonspor will play with St. Gallen. I think they will end this match with the worst draw. They have a very high chance of winning in Trabzon.

It was a very easy match for Başakşehir, their opponents were very weak for them and they won comfortably.
Their next opponents have also been announced, they will play St Patricks and I think they will beat them too.
The first match will be played in Ireland but I don't think it will be a problem for Başakşehir.
They won the match easily by 2-0. The score was good because opponent team could not do any single goal and İstanbul Başakşehir F.K. players did all efforts to win this match. Match was one sided and I didn't see thrilling moments in this match. Match was boring because opponent was weak. Opponent team should be strong if any country want more audience. Most of tge audience like tough in which both teams play well and we see the result of the match. K. Piatek did first goal as he was good player of the team and many other players assisted him and that's why we saw good result.

Chelsea for the first time in the history of the club will play in the UEFA Europa Conference League this season and should they win is it, Chelsea will become the first club to win every European trophy having won the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and the Super Cup before now. Chelsea of you ask should be the favorites to win the trophy and I have no doubt that bookmakers will go with Chelsea as the competition's favorite in this new season.
Should and will are different things. They should, but will they? Chelsea looks like they are spending more money on a single player than most teams spend on their entire teams here, only a few other teams look decent, plus there isn't any teams that will drop from Europa anymore, like how UCL used to have for third place finishers. In the end, Chelsea is the strongest team in conference league without a doubt, but we are looking at a team that is not really working together that well, it may not be all that easy to handle.

We just need to make sure that things could go well enough for them to see good results, otherwise it will not be too simple. We need to make sure that things could look decent enough so that we would know how it's looking, if they start well then we can say they finally figured out how to play together but if they start bad again then I would say they are still not a team, bunch of good individual players but not a complete team.

Zira win against Osijek after penalties is also unexpected results.
Osijek recently sold their best player Mierez to a club in the UAE, so I wasn't optimistic about them at all. But the way they got kicked out really sucks. In their first game, they conceded a goal from a penalty in the 96th minute, and last night, they conceded again in the 90th minute. With a bit more composure and luck, they could have moved on.

However, that's nothing compared to what happened with Hajduk. They managed to get knocked out by Ruzomberok despite conceding only one goal in two games, and that goal was scored by their own player lol. On top of that, Perisic has already left the club.

Once again, the whole of Croatian club football rests on the shoulders of Dinamo Zagreb.

We have plenty of interesting results today and many games going to extra time and penalties.

It's really surprising how this teams have became so strong and are taking their matches seriously, I mean matches entering into extra time shows how strong some of this teams have become. The conference league will be more interesting this season than it was in the previous season.

I think this year Conference League qualification rounds are the best in all years right ? most of the teams have competitive squads who can qualify into groups and we rarely see big differences between teams.

Exactly, the teams are very competitive unlike in the past when it's mostly obvious of the teams that gonna qualify but i see determination among the teams for this qualification rounds and they also have a better squads as compared to last season.

Başakşehir had a big win in the conference league today. The other loser of the day was our other representative Trabzonspor, who lost 2-0 against Rapid Vienna. Pelkas killed many chances in the match, but we must give credit to his goal, he used the free-kick very skillfully and scored Başakşehir's second goal. Başakşehir advanced to the playoff round.
