Today we will have another friendly game: Portugal - Israel.

It will certainly be a draw, or a victory for Portugal. What do you think?
As you can see, Portugal confidently beats Israel, even no chance for, which has not been able to hit Portugal's goal even once. It is clear that this is a friendly match and there may be many reasons for this, but it is obvious that Portugal is playing in full force today. Apparently it is testing its main line-up before the start of the Euro. Ronaldo was able to score a goal, which means he is in good shape before the tournament.

Vaccines can not protect one person 100% from the virus and infection.
Then what was the essence of the vaccines anyway if being vaccinated cannot protect you from the virus?  Was the vaccine not tested and confirmed by WHO that who so ever got vaccinated can not contact the virus again? This is the problem with our Media, they say something they do otherwise. The EUROS is fucked up already, there is no need bringing fans to the stadium now.
"Infected" , that is the important keyword there that you need to understand, it doesn't stop you from getting "infected", otherwise it means if you are vaccinated when you get infected there is a much much bigger chance that you will survive, like 90%+ higher chance if I am not wrong with the numbers there, so you can get infected without being vaccinated and let's say you have 2% chance to die, with the vaccination you have 0.2% chance to die, that is a very good improvement.

However even with that in mind, I would prefer everyone to be not infected, there is nothing wrong with checking who is infected and who is not even if they are vaccinated, why risk it when there is a perfectly fine way to make sure players are safe? I mean I know vaccinations protect a lot but masks+checks+space is still a quite good thing during this period, don't know why we should give them up when the alternative is death.

If Benzema does not play in the next match, it will be sad news for the French team. But in addition to Benzema, the French team has more strikers, Griezmann and Mbappe are extraordinary players. If they are in form, they can lead the team to victory against any strong team without Benzema.

you are right. they are two really fantastic players. but who knows who else in the team has been infected with corona.
maybe there will be one, two or three more players. and proper training is not possible now either. that's already big negative news.
i'm curious about the news on thursday. and whether there will be any other corona cases apart from the ones we know about now.

Benzema got an injury in his knee. He was back on the bench and he was crying.
Quite unfortunate to see Benzema in this situation, this could be another devastating return for him, he played the first game I was expecting him to be benched in the second game, he was not managed and I blame the coach for it. It just a few days to the EUROs and this injury could take 2 or 3 weeks which means his chances of making the final squad is hanging on the tread.
It would be a shame if Benzema was left out of the squad. After all, a difficult season in Real Madrid affected the player's injury. He needed to be given a little rest to recover.
Benzema injury was a knock in the muscles over his knee and the staff didn't want to take a risk so they sent him out according to Deschamps. It was also reported that he will play vs Germany in June 15 (source). That's reassuring and will make the French team more comfortable in its attack line.

I also think that in this match we can get a draw... I really like the Italian style of football, but based on the statistics of the last matches with key rivals, Italy often played a draw... And turkey is in very good shape now! By the way, the odds on a Turkish win are 8.6, on a draw - 4.0... Roll Eyes

The Italians are not very good at starting and are gaining shape gradually during the tournament, so Turkey has a chance for sensanzia, although of course we must not forget that Italy has always been distinguished by its defense.

I think it is irresponsible to let the game take place. Firstly, because other players and the coaching staff could be infected, and secondly, because it is a distortion of competition if some of the players are absent because of the infection.
It shouldn't be any different than what we have seen for the club competitions during this, but also in the previous season. Many teams had to play with multiple players sidelined due to COVID. The results were still valid, it's no different from when you have injured or suspended players. The last two years were a huge mess in club football, and all you can do is to adapt and rely on the strength of your squad.

According to the Swedish Football Association, Dejan Kulusevski and Mattias Svanberg were both positive for COVID-19 and will miss the first EURO match against Spain. Kulusevski remained in Stockholm while Svanberg travelled with the rest of the team to Gothenburg but was isolated at the team hotel. As of yet, no replacements have been called up.

So both teams have Covid-cases now. I think it is irresponsible to let the game take place. Firstly, because other players and the coaching staff could be infected, and secondly, because it is a distortion of competition if some of the players are absent because of the infection. I think that overall we will have a bigger problem at this European Championship due to Corona infections.

Not your keys, not your coins!
i also thought that all european players had been vaccinated, aren't they from the priority group? because in my understanding players are in contact with many people and should have been vaccinated in the priority group, it doesn't make much sense to be vaccinating the general population and not having vaccinated  soccer all players
I believe for top clubs, or clubs in Tier 1 national leagues, all players should have been vaccinated. But it does not secure or prevent them all from the virus.

Vaccines can not protect one person 100% from the virus and infection. It is helpful for the community when most of them are vaccinated enough doses. If the surroundings are full of virus, infections people, vaccinated people have higher risks of infection. It also depends on the efficiacy of vaccine they were injected.

It is the core of community immunity. The more people get enough vaccination doses, the better for the whole community and for each person.

Italy win or draw. I do not expect another outcome. The last two meetings between the teams ended in a draw (1: 1).So I think this match will be the same. Both teams have gained good shape.Italy won their last 7 matches and conceded only one goal, although the opponents were not as strong as Turkey. You can bet on both goals.

Do you still believe in a tie between Italy and Turkey?
It's not devaluing Turkey, but Italy has all the conditions to win that game. If you don't win, it could be a bad sign.

I still think that these oddsmaker are wrong when they put this disparity in the odds of this match between italy against turkey, it seems that italy will play against a very weak team, when in fact in my opinion turkey is very strong and has 50% of chance of tying or winning this game, the odds should be more balanced. I'm still thinking about which market I'm going to bet, whether I'm going to BTTS or whether I'm going to the Over market, I'm seeing that over 1.5 has an odd of @1.40 to me it seems to be very low odds, maybe I expect to make a bet after 15 minutes of game, i need to see how turkey's defense will be and italy's attack will be.

Anyone here bet that Turkey can win?

kulusevski has been found positive too for COVID.
Sweden is under test now.

Was too hard for UEFA/FIFA to vaccinate all the players like Tokyo is doing for the Olympic summer games?

I was asking about this a few weeks ago, I thought for sure they would vaccinate all the players, or make it a requirement for them to do so if they wanted to play. I mean Europe now has no problems with supply while many countries are still waiting for supplies,,, and how is it people playing EURO still do not have the vaccine???

Group A is really balanced, Italy will want to start with a win. Switzerland is probably the 2nd best team in the group so a slow start is not something that the italians can afford.

Turkey was really good in the qualifiers though so it won't be easy, they won 7 of their 10 games (including a 2-0 win against France) and lost only to Iceland.

Just a reminder though - Italy won all 10 games, conceding only 4 goals in the process. Their group was one of the weakest though (Finland, Greece, BiH, Armenia and Liechtenstein).

Yeah, this game won't be an easy one for Italy I think. Even if they win this, I think it would be a win with a 1-goal difference. I expect Turkey players to make things really difficult for them.

Yes it's true. But normally Italy in the final stages of the competitions always have a good performance.

This year, I believe there will be several surprises. Countries that have more players in competitive leagues will have more difficulty than usual. This season, it was very demanding.

I think all the teams in Group A have the same chance, in this current era the big teams are still not guaranteed to win. So yes, after all every team has to have a big effort to qualify, make a few mistakes then of course it will be bad. But considering the first match between Turkey - Italy which will be played in Rome and already the spectator seats have been opened even though it is limited but still, I believe the situation will be used as best as possible for Italy to get the first 3 points.

Spain weren't able to play with main squad because Busquets got covid. Interesting, what if there will be covid outbreak in one of teams during EURO? And when you look at Spain U21 squad and clubs of players, quality of this team isn't much worse than main squad, so, nothing surprising that they won big.

Diego Llorente has now also tested positive for covid-19. as a result, eleven u21 internationals are now in the parallel squad without further ado.

Alvaro Fernandez (huesca), Oscar Mingueza (fc barcelona), Marc Cucurella (getafe), Bryan (eibar), Juan Miranda (real betis), Gonzalo Villar (as roma), Brahim Diaz (ac milan), Martin Zubimendi (real sociedad), Yeremi Pino (villarreal) and Javi Puado (espanyol barcelona)

Not clear yet if he is broken but the sensation is that he will skip the EURO 20201
The injury was a major blow for Benzema, who has just returned to the French national team, Benzema was previously not called up to Didier Deschamps France squad due to a case, but it seems that Benzema is not in too bad a condition as seen when he was replaced by Olivier Giroud in the match , and I saw on television if Benzema looked normal while talking to mbappe on the bench after Benzema was substituted, I think Benzema will still play in the euros this year.

Turkey is not an easy team. Together with Belgium, they are one of the two teams to concede the fewest goals in the group stages. They conceded only 3 goals in the matches they played. Their group also included France. They conceded 1 goal from France in two matches. Therefore, it may be correct to say that Italy will win, but it cannot be said that if it does not win.
